My sister got us both the steak bowls during their 2 year anniversary deal! (BOGO). Their sauces are so good, I can't tell if the white sauce is a ranch mix with yogurt? The chimmichurri sauce was amazing. For the bowl itself, I wish I could sub 1 scoop of rice with more potatoes, maybe next time. Everything I ate felt like I was eating healthier and clean. Steak was perfection too!

This was about this BOGO deal.....my brother was telling me about it sooo he got me one and I was craving for the steak bowl. The bowl came with greens on the bottom and on the sides with rice, potatoes and the chimichurri sauce, the steak was cooked great imo, and chimichurri on steak is just hella good. Additional chimichurri sauce came with the bowl which I added more.

I've been supporting them since they opened because I've always loved supporting local businesses and liked their concept. However, today was my last straw. To be honest, I've had a handful of bad experiences with them in the past, such as inconsistent portion sizes and food quality. Sometimes the portion size is half of what I usually get. The food quality is hit or miss too -- you might get the driest chicken, hardest rice, or dirtiest lettuce. It's nothing like when they first opened. Today, I decided to try their beef barbacoa. It was NASTY. I literally couldn't eat it, and it was a premium protein that cost an extra $4. I don't mind paying extra for good food, but if there's an upcharge, I'd like it to be worth it. Safe to say, after all those bad experiences, I'm never coming back to support them or recommend them to anyone.

Fantastic place to get a bowl of mixed carbohydrates and vegetables. Service was quick, fast, and accommodating. Staff is always friendly and welcoming! Parking is tough during lunch hour since so many people come from work to grab lunch at one of the multiple restaurants in the plaza. There is a set menu available if you don't want to customize a bowl. My favorite here is the broccoli and mushrooms! The seasoned chicken is always tasty as well. There is plenty of seating even when lunch rush is going on. The tables and floor are always clean! Ventilation does need some work since the store will leave a lingering food smell on clothes. I'm glad to see they're successful enough to open a second location. It is well deserved!

Solid option for a quick, healthy meal. The portions are generous for the price, especially when it comes to the base and protein. I really enjoyed the teriyaki chicken and the mushrooms. They were definitely the highlight of my bowl. That said, I didn't feel like all the base and topping combinations worked well together. The bases themselves were a bit dry, and the sauce options were just okay, not bad, but nothing I'd go out of my way for. It was also a little frustrating that some of the better toppings (like tomatoes and edamame) cost extra. Overall, it's a decent spot if you're in the area and want something on the healthier side, but it didn't really stand out as anything special.

I came here for the first time because I was excited to try a new bowl place. They definitely give you a nice portion for your food. However, the food didn't have a great flavor, my salmon tasted plain, the mushrooms were salty. Maybe I came on a bad day but I've seen so many great reviews and I didn't feel the same. It was a one and done for me. Maybe I enjoy poke bowls better, I am not sure, but I honestly felt for the price it would be a great value. It didn't really meet my expectations of a flavorful bowl. It was really plain, something I can cook at home. You can clearly see how big the mushrooms are it is not cut and it was big to put in your mouth to chew. I definitely wouldn't recommend it. But, if you like fast, simple, basic food then give it a try. If you're looking for something that is delicious, flavorful, and hits the spot, I def recommend you skip this joint.

This place is beautiful and clean inside, few tables inside and some customers too. There are so much healthy options and the so much proteins to choose from. They give you good portions and it is expensive but it is great quality of food! Staff are friendly and great with customer service! We will come back to try other options.

went here around 5:40 pm with my girlfriend, place packed at all, plenty of parking since this is in a shopping plaza center, and there is a good amount of chairs and tables to sit & eat at, but not a lot. you can go ahead and make your own bowl, this place has nice fresh ingredients, there's plenty to choose from, it's exactly like an asian style chipotle which is awesome if you are looking for something different or want asian fusion of flavors. see the photos for a good amount of what we got, i got the salmon & my girlfriend got the lemon chicken which was super delicious and plentiful. they also have signature drinks which is on tap and im guessing you can get refills? i highly recommend if you want a great alternative to healthy bowls!

I thought I made a review for the first time I was here but I guess I didn't; anyway here's my long awaited review. first of all, great concept. I already love vegetables and they're even better when they're prepared correctly - Boltiful does just that. and did I mention they give free samples before you decide on your order? on proteins AND vegetables too :) so regular bowls and large bowls: main difference is how many sides and proteins you get to have - and the amount they give you? I always have 1/2 left of a regular to take home (and mind you, I'm a big eater). so do what you will with that information. it's basically a build your own style; again, free samples so you can taste what they have before ordering but I've had the chicken teriyaki and the premium chimichurri steak (both were delicious, however I might get the salmon or lemon chicken next time). the jasmine rice is fluffy and I believe is slightly seasoned (however, it might have just been soaking up all the flavors from the other components), and I highly recommend getting the sweet potato noodles as well. I lucked out last time I was here: the noodles were piping hot and fresh - if you like japchae vibes, you'll love these. there's some chilis in there but honestly they weren't spicy. I'm a sucker for brussels sprouts so I usually get these by default, but my friend sampled the garlic broccoli and she said it tasted how it sounds - which wasn't enough wow factor for me to stray away from the brussels. for a regular bowl you get up to 3 toppings: I decided on the pickled red onion, cilantro, and crispy noodles (honestly, I didn't want a third topping/the noodles, but it did give a nice crunch). and for sauce they offer to drizzle it on top or give you a small portion on the side - the garlic sauce is very good and I think tends to be their most popular of the choices. the picture doesn't really do it justice: I had 2 FULL meals from a regular with how much they stuffed this thing. I mean the scoop of brussels sprouts alone was basically the microwaveable-bag of brussels from Trader Joe's (not that I'm complaining, but I had a lot of food that day and the next!) I just wish I lived closer! I feel so healthy/good when I do eat here, but the plaza it's in is extremely crazy parking wise - so do be warned. I'll be back even with the crazy commute, and hopefully I can tell yall more about all of the options :) (also next time I'm here I'll show pictures of the actual food: I thought I took those photos but I guess I didn't)

Had a great experience at Boltiful! I even got to meet the owner, Ricky, who's super nice and clearly cares about the quality and vibe of the place. The bowls are really fresh with a ton of options to customize exactly how you want. There's a good variety of different sauces that you can choose from. My personal favorite is the pesto herb. If you're looking for a hearty meal, try this place out!

I tried Boltiful for the first time and was really impressed. I ordered the Spicy Thai Shrimp Bowl for pick-up, and even after my car ride home, everything was still super fresh. The vegetables were crisp and the shrimp was perfectly cooked and seasoned. It wasn't too spicy for me but there was a bit of a kick. Portion sizes are generous, and the prices are very reasonable for the quality of the food. The food was prepared very quickly and server was friendly even though the interaction was brief. This will definitely be one of my new go-to spots and I can't wait to come back and try more of the menu.

4.5 Stars. My GF and I remembered Boltiful opened not too long ago, and finally decided to try it because we were craving some chicken teriyaki, but with a healthy flavor.. When we walked in, the restaurant was very clean and maintained. The staff was very nice and attentive. We decided to share a medium bowl, there are 2 sizes you can choose from. For our picks, we went with mixed greens, potato noodles, broccoli, and chicken teriyaki, and a few sauces on the side I don't remember. We topped it off with the pickled veggie. Everything looks and tasted pretty healthy. The broccoli was excellent with a little crisp, the chicken was flavorful and tender, and the potato noodles were my favorite. I couldn't get enough of it. Overall, it was a delicious meal to share. Next time, I would love to try the beef, shrimp, and salmon. My GF loved the food as well, so I'm sure we'll be back. read more

I was sooo looking forward to trying this place as there aren't too many healthy inspired places in sj. This is located in an area with lots of businesses so there were plenty of parking. There's also plenty of seating inside but I took this togo during this visit. This place has a concept of chipotle or like poke style which is cool because you get to choose what you put in your bowl. I enjoy the variety they have but I wish we were allowed to put in more than one topping per section, since we were only allowed to put in 1 carb, 1 veggie and 1 protein. It was good but portions were small, honestly better off going to chipotle as they give more and you can still meet your macros too. I would want to try this place again another time but as in now, I was hoping I would really like this place. read more

I noticed this new spot and thought I would give it a try. The restaurant is small, but neat and clean. The food is pretty good and reasonably priced. The service is fast and the staff are friendly. honestly I'm shocked at how much I liked this place I do tend to have a blander palate, but they had options light enough to satisfy me, whilst also having options w more sauce/spice for others I got the regular bowl w sweet potato noodles (label says spicy but it's very very mild), spring mix, teriyaki chicken, mushrooms, & sauces on the side ; it was too much food for me lol service was great - really nice & accommodating people honestly the only faults I could find were that there were no chopsticks (yet), & that the tables were a little too low for the booths (I had to hunch over a lil) read more

DELICIOUS! Was looking for something more on the healthier side and found this place had recently opened. When we walked in we were immediately greeted by the staff and gave us a rundown of their menu. Food was super yummy! We both got build your own bowls and tried the lemon chicken, teriyaki chicken and tofu. All really solid options!! The staff was really what sold me tho. I'm not sure if it was the manager or the owner, but he came to make sure we enjoyed our food and had a nice conversation with us. One of the nicest people I've ever met! Really flavorful bowls! Came here with my girlfriend and the interior was really nice and clean. The service was wonderful. The food was really yummy - I got the regular bowl with sweet potato noodles, roasted potatoes, miso glazed salmon, along with the creamy garlic and spicy Thai sauce! SO delicious and such a fresh concept! I hope they continue to do well, because this type of restaurant is sorely needed. I got to meet the owner (who was also the cashier), who confirmed this is the first shop and they hoped to have more soon. The location (in Sprouts Plaza) is ideal - they took over the former location of Rooster & Rice, so it is situated in a great spot. Shout-out to one of the base offerings - sweet potato noodles! The other bases were unique, especially the Forbidden Black Rice. The noodles were flavorful just on their own. For my proteins, I chose lemon chicken and barbacoa (which is worth the extra $). They had so many options that it was hard to choose. I was happy with the portion sizes as well. They did not skimp on any items and the bowl was visually appealing. I would also recommend trying their freshly-made drinks, which were a great price for how much you received. They offered lemonade, Mango Lemonade and Pina Colada. To start off, the staff were incredibly nice- offering to clean the table when I had intended to do it myself and being accommodating with providing a bag and a lid when I had forgotten to ask earlier. It wasn't too crowded, so the staff were able to drop in but it's by no means empty. They go by a base, veggie, protein, topping, and sauce ordering system, but some proteins will cost more than others. We tried the chili shrimp bowl and it was delicious with the mayo sauce and ESPECIALLY the potato noodles. The lemon chicken was a bit overpowering with the sourness, but still enjoyable. The seating is mostly for 2 people, but appears to be easily put together for bigger parties. Very nice and clean as well. read more

We went to the soft opening a few weeks ago and had a delightful experience. The place is very clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful. You can build your own bowl or choose one of their pre-selected bowls. All the food is fresh and everything is baked. There are no fryers in this place, so there are a lot of healthy options. For any one following the Weight Watchers program, there are a lot of zero point foods to choose from. The sweet potato noodles are to die for. We will definitely be coming back here, and I highly recommend to everyone to come here for a meal. read more

Tried this place for the first time during Lunch. Serving staff was unfriendly and not accommodating, I had zero clue how to order and the servers made no attempt to assist through the process. I thought the Chicken Teriyaki looked good on the menu, but they had fly's landing on the food . The server saw the fly land on the Teriyaki Chicken and she swatted it away just for the fly to land back on the chicken. For a $20 Bowl I thought the food would be of high quality, it was mid. The rice was hard, definitely not soft! BBQ Chicken the meat was half soft & chewy and the other half hard to chew. Don't get fooled asking for premium toppings it's an upcharge + you don't get a large scoop of toppings, save your money. The Spicy Thai sauce was wonderful! The only thing good about this place was the cashier, Asian Girl Megan, i think was her name! Nicest worker on staff, you deserve a raise or at least a promotion!!! read more

The miso salmon is always a hit with me. I don't mind the extra premium charge because the salmon is always consistently flavorful and moist. Sometimes I'll buy just the salmon to bring home and eat with other things! Staff is always super nice and the owner is clearly passionate about his food. 10/10 would go again. read more

Just tried this place recently for lunch and really enjoyed the bowl I got. The food was fresh and tasty. It reminded me of something similar to the fresh and healthy food you would get from WholeFoods self serve area but with a Chipotle vibe, where you can create your own bowl or just get what's on the menu. I got the Chicken Teriyaki bowl which comes with Teriyaki Chicken, Jasmin Rice, Sweet potato noodles, and Garlic Broccoli. I added cilantro as a topping and a side of spicy chipotle mayo and garlic dip. Both dips were good and also vegan! Regular bowl was $13.99, good price for the amount of food you get. The service was fast and efficient. I will definitely go back when I'm craving something quick and healthy. read more

Okay so I always come here after work and the food is always delicious ! The food is always consistent and so yummy, my favorite are the potatoes. I always get them because they are so soft! The noodles are my favorite to get as a base as well. The workers are all pretty friendly, and the reason why I always come back is because of the worker who helped me my first time here! So was so nice and explained every single ingredient they had, and it made for a nice experience :) overall try this place out if you're in the area for healthy and delicious food read more

The regular spicy Thai shrimp bowl is really good for $17 with spinach and potato noodles which is almost like glass noodles and the shrimp isn't too overcooked or undercooked but just perfect and the sauce makes everything come together really well and the service is very amazing and the people are kind and patient read more

Man I can't say enough good things about this place. This is some good clean food and really really good. I have had it 6 times in the last 8 days and will be back a lot more. It is the healthy version of chipotle but tastes better. I can't recommend this more. You will not be disappointed. To top it off the guys are very professional and helpful with a sample of an item if you are unsure. read more

I stopped into Boltiful Fresh Kitchen and was greeted by a welcoming staff. They had a lot of base options (rice, Asian sweet potato noodles, salad), protein (chicken, salmon, tofu,etc.) and a ton of veggies. I went with miso salmon, spring mix, rice, and garlic broccoli. With all of the items on the menu, you'll never run out of options. Ultimately, it's a great place to grab a lunch/dinner and walk away feeling good about what you put into your body. I will definitely come back and try everything else on the menu. read more

Food is pretty good! The chickpeas, black rice, and lemon chicken are mg favorites. I do miss the previous toppings you get for free, but overall for the price the bowls here are solid and I'd recommend to anyone looking for a healthy alternative to something like chipotle. read more

This place bangs. 5-stars all the way. My partner and I stopped in Thursday night after both having long work days and not wanting to cook. I'm so happy I thought to finally drop in.
