Nice place for a fun new experience that has become a fave of ours after joining family a year ago. We have enjoyed returning with more family who had never been. There is a huge variety here from their raw bar where you choose what you wish to cook, the cooked items available to add to your meal, & plethora of sauces, seasoning, & traditional Korean sides like kimchi/fermented offerings. There is also a list of proteins you order from the table & several of those happen to be some of my favorites. We always request the galbi, the pineapple marinated meat, the garlic marinated pork, the wings (sauce on the side because I can't handle as much spice as my guys), & the thinly sliced brisket. The servers are friendly & come by fairly often to see if you need anything else & to swap out the grill plate for you. (Side note you can request they wait on that if you're liking the grill heat char level you've achieved so far.) You can also adjust the heat if you want it to cook on a lower temp or higher. Personal preferences shine here, so you can enjoy your meal exactly how you choose. While most seem to enjoy the grilled meats individually or simultaneously tasting along side a side dish or even in a lettuce/cabbage wrap I have recently decided my favorite way to eat it is all together creating my own unique fried rice combo, if you will. My son & hubby are much more carnivorous & prefer the bulgogis, short ribs, spicy marinated options, wings, etc. My husband also enjoys the less commonly offerings of intestines & things I'm not into at all. LOLz Variety is the best to please us all, & we defiantly get that here. Not to mention being able to cook it all to our specific desires. That's our favorite part. Pictured on the plate are all of my favorites mixed together after cooking: fried rice, bean sprouts, edamame, fish cakes, & seasoning tossed with the grilled galbi, pineapple marinated meat, teriyaki chicken, garlic marinated meat, shrimp, zucchini, mushrooms, broccoli, & carrots. I usually add a bit of oil to the grill before throwing the veggies & proteins on. Then I add a bit of salt, pepper, soy sauce, a teensy bit of spicy oil, & enjoy! On the grill you can see some veggies, teriyaki chicken, the garlic marinated meat, & the tripas (intestine my husband enjoys.) I love Korean BBQ, this was my first time where you order the meat from the waiter. Not 100% sure that I like that instead of being able to just get it off the buffet myself. But with the way seating is it worked out. It was a little tight. I had to keep getting up to let my husband out for veggies, so it would have been really annoying if I was having to move for him to self serve meats. The food was fresh and delicious with lots of options. We were there on a Monday and the cocktails were on happy hour. We tried a few of them but I forgot the names. If you were a confused by their signage, every online still appears to be "Jin" but this establishment has recently changed hands and now officially renamed to Bon KBBQ. To add to the confusion, the signage outside says Bon but on one wall painted inside it says Jin. But their menu header says Bon KBBQ. Bon is not unlike your typical Korean BBQ establishment with the rectangular grill in the middle of your table. For those who are unfamiliar, a table typically fits 4 comfortably with the center of the table cut out for a grill / cooker about (I'm guessing) 18 inches x 12 inches. This griller is used to "cook" your raw food. Here at Bon, it is all you can eat (but they do charge you $20 if you have A LOT of left over uncooked food). There is a small buffet area where you may help yourself to some typical "chinese" food such as fried rice and fried noodles, but not a big selection. Then there is the raw food section. You may help yourself to a smorgesboard of variety: shrimp with shell on, bulgogi marinated in spices, marinated sliced beef, pork, chicken, bell pepper, onions, cabbage, large sliced radishes, and much more. There's a small table with miso soup, and 2 others as well as a large pot of steamed rice (of course). Try to use common sense and don't mix your raw food with your cooked food on the same plate! Depending on what you picked out, you can start stuffing your face or leisurely start grilling your food or you can follow me (and many others) and do Both! I quickly laid out my shrimp and bulgogi as well as some veggies on the grill. In a few minutes I can already start smelling the delicious flavors as my mouth watered. In addition to the bar, they also offer some "specialized" meats that have to be "ordered" through your server. Remember it's all you can eat, but don't have any wasted uncooked meat left. Ken ordered the brisket and the thinly sliced beef brisket (Chadolbagi) and the lateral cut beef short rib marinated with house made galbi sauce (La Galbi). I don't know what galbi sauce is, but Yom Yom Yom Yom Yom! It doesn't look like much when you put it on the grill, but as it grills and the rib meat starts to shrink, I recommend you let it cook until it's very dark with a little charring. Then use a pair of eating scissors (you have to ask them for a pair) to cut it into 4 pieces. After it cools for 30 seconds, grab the boney part and just bite the meat off. There are no points when eating korean bbq so don't worry about etiquette. If you picked out something that wasn't already seasoned or marinated, there are a varitey of hot sauces and seasoning sauces at your fingertips. Ken had his own system placing his meats on a radish then carefully putting the toppings on top then carefully folding it and taking a huge bite. I was not as organized as there was food everything and I just shoved them all in my mouth in various orders. Basically in the order it came off the grill! Bon is very popular and this Friday night was no exception. It was very crowded and took about 30 minutes for us to get a table. With everyone grilling and even their vent fans running full capacity, there was still a bit of "smoke" hanging over the air like a Los Angeles haze, but you'll soon forget about that as you're adding to it from your own grill. By far the best KBBQ place in the area. My partner introduced me to this place and I fell in love instantly. Their beef belly is out of this world (and his favorite is their pork belly). They also offer miso soup and seafood soup which I can't help but splurge on. Fried rice is also really good. The only thing I will take note on is their fish. It's not bad, but the fish tends to stick onto the tray more than usual and it gets messy. Service is great, I love their style of using lights to catch the servers' attention. For $25 per person and being the #1 kbbq place to show up on Yelp in Fort Worth, this place was a walking disappointment. Some meats were left for self service which was questionable and the meats that were serviced were questionable as well. The khalbi that was served was all bones and the bulgogi was all torn up. The beef belly was 75% fat and the "salad" that was served was just plain lettuce by itself. The only meats worth eating were the pork belly and beef tongue. Sides were not worth the stomach space since they lacked flavor and freshness. Only the mushrooms were worth grilling but even then, I had to pick through the bunch that were not dirty or wilted. Service was lackluster and the bathrooms were extremely filthy. Servers brought meats out by stacking the plates ON TOP of one another. **Is contamination just not a concern here???** The complimentary cinnamon and ginger drink had way too much cinnamon in it making it way to spicy to drink. This place is absolute Bomb! Me and my girlfriend came here on a Saturday evening and the wait was about 30 mins. I complained like always when it comes to waiting but I'm so glad we did wait. It was so worth it and the staff was great. We sat down and the waiter was so attentive and took our order. You place your order of meat first and then you can attack the salad bar as you wish. I absolutely love Korean bbq, but what's better than an all you can eat Korean barbecue WITH buffet style?? There are certain meats that are not on the Buffett table, such as galbi, pork cheek, think pork belly, Hawaiian steak and such but they have a good variety of everything. I love banchan and I just love how I can just get what I want, as much as I want without having to constantly bother the sever for more. Omg I was in banchan heaven. It's on a buffet style where you serve yourself. It's such a deal for under $25! Korean all you can eat bbq. Come hungry! Full disclosure, I grew up in Los Angeles and have ate lots of authentic Korean and fusion Korean food. I'm an avid mukbang watcher and I've re-created some of my favorite Korean dishes at home. That is to say, I know how Korean food should smell, look and most importantly taste like. This place is ranked among some of the BEST Korean food I've ever had. The service was impeccable. The lovely waitresses were polite and kind, flipped the light and they came straight away. Unlike many KBBQ places all the banchan (side dishes) are kept in the middle cafeteria style on ice. Lots of yummy choices, all kinds of cucumber kimchi, daikon kimchi, tofu, mung beans, pickled pink daikon slices, and my personal fav fishcake. Next they have on ice the meat, select seafood like fish and shrimp, bulgolgi, spicy pork, chicken etc, all raw, either marinated or plain. And lastly they had a small selection of hot side dishes such as interestingly enough fried rice, red rice, my favorite Japchae, peanut fried chicken, pork fried dumplings and corn on the cob. Along the outer wall is a selection of rice, porridge, and miso soup. All the food was fresh and the flavors were spot on. Stopped in for dinner with the kiddos on a weekday. The restaurant is large, clean, and decorated nicely. When my son told me about the restaurant, he said it was buffet style. Of course this has changed during COVID. You are given a paper that lists all the meats, veggies, soups, etc and you order how many would like from each item. They had a great variety of choices. A lot of people don't like the idea of cooking your own food but the kids and I love it. It's part of the experience. We ordered kalbi, brisket, teriyaki chicken, bulgogi, spicy Bulgogi, pork belly, and almost every veggie on the list. We loved it all. The service was also very good. Jin Korean BBQ Order and buffet to choose from Massive amount of food, go for lunch at $16.95 compared to $21.95 for dinner which is still a great price. The meats are very good with of course the old favorite, Bulgogi and Kalbi, could just eat those meats. I tried the fried Tilapia fish and it is so good. If you need to break it up instead of all meat the buffet has rice, vegetables, rice or chow mein noodles and all the Korean sides like kimchi, potatoes, etc. Really a pleasant surprise and very much enjoyed this kbbq. read more

The buffet style approach for most of the dishes isn't a bad idea, but I think some people may be turned off by some of the meat dishes that are left out. If I could I would have given this place closer to 3.5-3.75 stars, not because it was necessarily bad but because there are better AYCE KBBQ options in the DFW area. This AYCE is self serve with appetizers, sauce, and different cut meats at the center bar. You can order premium cuts through the menu with no extra charge. I personally would stick with the premium cuts bc of the better marbling and flavor vs the common cuts served at the bar.
