We drive 30 minutes just to come here it is that good. I love that you can cook your own food at the table & there are already cooked foods & don't forget your amazing sides. The wait staff is always nice & on top of things. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There is a ton of seating, all with cooking.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They always end your meal with iced cinnamon water, it is so refreshing.

Awesome variety of sides and meats. Pretty good price for the dinner special. And the service is pretty good as well. Probably my go to spot when I don't want to travel too far.

Bon KBBQ is located on Cooper st in Arlington serving the community with and all inclusive serve your self style Korean BBQ experience! We came by on a Saturday morning right after 11am when they opened. We were greeted by the hostess and properly seated in a comfy booth. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Inside this fine establishment the ambiance was set high in a fashionable modern setting. The tone was nice and dim with light and soft music playing in the back.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The layout was extremely put together well with full bars of uncooked meat, marinated meat and a bar with buffet already prepared items[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. They also had a cold bar station that serves cold dishes as well such as seaweed salad, kim cheese, and mac salad. The prepared items consisted of plenty of dishes such as chicken wings, fried rice, and fried noodles and many many more to choose from! The meat station was well put together serving your typical pork belly, marinated bulgogi, and many seafood options like squid, shrimp, and mussels. There was also a soup bar that had seaweed soup with chunks of beef bone inside, miso soup, pumpkin soup, and a clear soup along with finely chopped onions for garnish. When we sat down we were also given menus with more cuts of meat! These meats were your typical beef belly, brisket, short ribs. We were told when we simply need service to switch the lamp on and server will be on their way for service. Everything went well and the service provided was superb! The prices were fair and average and the food quality was unbeatable for the prices. I will definitely come back again and try some different cuts of meat along with different dishes. The serve yourself style was great along from ordering off a menu. The meat was well marinated and seasoned and hot foods were kept hot while cold foods stayed cold pertaining to the guidelines of foodservice.

Oh, when it was named another name was my favorite and first Korean barbecue. Under the other name, however it began to degrade, but it was sold and The new owner has made it revive and flourish. I enjoyed all my favorites at the meat bar. There's a large selection of meats that you can get immediately or select meets and select cuts that you can ask for to be delivered to your table. There is far more salads and veg than other Korean barbecue places I've been to. There's also hot and ready food for To Go if you'd like... The wait staff is friendly and helpful and [[HIGHLIGHT]]the restaurant is pretty and clean.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I recommend.

Excellent KBBQ spot for all your meaty needs. Came for lunch which is probably the best time to come since their menu offers all the meat options that you would want at 18.99$ to satisfy your cravings. They also have a very nice buffet line with various marinated meats, fried chicken, rice, noodles and bonchon dishes. I love it here and is the only place I go to for KBBQ.

The food is delicious and flavorful! The pasta options are wonderful and there are meat options for everyone. It is a fun place for a date. I don't recommend going with people who do not know how to cook or people who wash their meats Service is nice but basic. I recommend learning Korean before you go. Bathrooms need some cleaning.

Horrible grill condition. Peeling and crusting off and getting on the meat

Not fantastic, standard Korean BBQ. Wish they had better bulgogi. Short rib was the best out of the options.

Ask the Community - Bon KBBQ

What is the price for kids under 3?

Free! My 2 year old wasn't charged when we went!

Do they take reservations online? Or only via phone calls?

I believe you can call them in. I don't know about online. Check their website and see.

    Is it byob?

    Nope.

    Are there any vegetarian options?

Yes. The soup and the ban chan are vegetarian. But everything that goes on the grill is pretty much meat

Does this place do ayce kbbq for one person or do I need 2 people?

You can for sure do the AYCE with just one person.

Is it good for a family bday party ...about 12 people?

So long as people enjoy meat and Korean food, yes.

Should you make a reservation when going on a Friday night around 7:30?

I'd only recommend it if you are a party of 3 or more. Weekend night do seem pretty busy but not crazy.

    Lunch price on the weekend?

How much is it for the buffet?

For lunch the other day it was about 15 bucks.

What is the price on Sunday?

I believe its the same as dinner prices of $19.99.

They bring over some rice to enjoy with the meat with the regular choice. The menu and options are a bit confusing and took some time to understand. The vibes initially felt a little off, especially when we arrived around 9:50 pm--they took a while to confirm whether they would seat us even though they close at 10:30 pm. That said, once we were seated, the experience completely turned around. Our waiter provided some of the best service I've had in a long time--attentive, friendly, and made us feel genuinely welcome. We waited quite a while to be seated even though there were plenty of employees around. It honestly felt like we were invisible. After finally being seated, we waited an unusually long time just to receive water. We also made it clear to both the hostess and our waiter that this was our first time at a Korean BBQ restaurant and that we had no idea how anything worked. We expected at least a brief explanation or some guidance on how to cook the meat, what sauces or seasonings to use, or recommendations for beginners. Instead, we were left to figure everything out ourselves. As a result, the food ended up tasting bland and unappetizing because we simply didn't know what we were doing. To make matters worse, no one informed us until the very end of the meal that there would be an additional charge for uncooked meat left on the table. Had we been told this upfront, we would have ordered differently or made sure to finish everything we had. Waiting until the end to mention this felt unfair. Overall, the lack of customer service and communication made what should have been a fun first Korean BBQ experience into a frustrating one. Unfortunately, we won't be returning.

Unfortunately, the experience went downhill from there. Once we were settled, no one came to take our order. We eventually noticed there was a call button, so we pressed it. When a server finally came in, I felt rushed the entire time...like they were trying to leave before we were even done ordering. Because of that, several items were missed. To make matters worse, we were served old/moldy garlic, and all the cuts of meat were overly thick and tough to eat. On top of that, every time we needed something, we had to press the call button multiple times, usually 3 or 4 times before anyone checks on us. And don't get the hot sake, it's a rip off. Legit 4 small shots for $8.99. Overall, the service and food quality were very disappointing. They probably didn't care to service us because they'll get tipped on a large party regardless. My party of 6 showed up on a Saturday evening and we were sat pretty quickly for it being busy,…read moreabout a 25 min wait. It took a while for our server to come and get our drink orders then a little more for the meat orders. It took her a few trips to get all our drink orders. When we got our initial meat order, the server didn't turn on the second grill. Luckily another server came and I asked him to turn it on for us. I never got my sides that I ordered along with the meats. When we were nearing finishing the first order of meats, we pressed the call button, but nobody came when we waited about 3-4 mins. So we pressed again and nobody came. We pressed it a third time and still nobody came. So after about 10-12 mins of waiting, I walked to the front to ask if I can get my server? The girl at the front proceeded to tell me I need to press the call button. I respond that I did, about 3 times already. So she retorts that "we're really busy today." I understand it's a Saturday evening and it's pretty busy, but in the time that we got our meats and finished it, my server never came to check in on us. The girl then says she'll come by in 2 mins if we still haven't been helped. So I go back and press the button a fourth time. The girl comes in as she promised and took our second meats order and I mentioned that I never got my sides from my first order if she can put that order in for us. About 30 seconds after the girl left, the male server walks in assumingely ready to take our order. I tell him I had the girl in the front take my order because nobody came. He then tells me I needed to press the button. I respond "I pressed the button 4 times now. Nobody came." He goes to press the button to see if it actually works and hears it ding. So he apologizes and changes our very charred grills. Then comes back with our order that the other girl took. We only spent an hour at the establishment, but most of it was waiting. The food was ok at best. There was way too much fat on the galbi. I was left very unsatisfied with the experience. Really, it was the gaslighting about pressing the call button. Sitting here and writing all this out I also realized I added extra tip to my bill and forgot that there's gratuity already added to a big party's bill so they got a really nice tip from me. Hopefully the gratuity gets split among everyone I guess.
