Seasoned French Fries

Definitely my favorite wings! And BONUS they were $1 wings on Mondays! So tasty! Extra crispy on the outside and moist on the inside! I also ordered the udon soup with bulgogi. Delicious and plenty to share or save for multiple meals. I usually love their side of pickled radish but unfortunately not so fresh this time around. Our service was fast as there were very few people at the off hour on Monday when I went.

Loaded Bulgogi Fries. Tasty.

On this visit there were five us. So we ordered a couple of items for the table: Loaded Bulgogi Fries, and 20 wings, with two flavors; Classic Crunch and a new flavor Yangnyeom with a side of pickled Daikon radish. Both were great. Individually, we got two Japchae's, and one order of of plain chicken tenders (10) and a side of fried zuchini, An order of Beef Bulgolgi fried rice, and pork belly kimchi fried rice. Everyone enjoyed their food. The waitress was helpful and kept our drinks refilled. There's still some items I'd like to try one day, so I do want to work my way through more of the menu. The restaurant is casual, with a bar at the front and some tv's, but they need to fix the tv's because they have issues with hue being off...heavy on blue and green.

The spread!!!!

Tried Bonchon in Jacksonville for the first time and I'm honestly mad I waited this long. The Korean fried wings are the star of the show -- insanely crispy, perfectly sauced, and packed with flavor. Like... next-level good. The dumplings were straight-up addicting and disappeared way too fast. We also ordered the bulgogi fries and they absolutely hit the spot -- savory, filling, and great for sharing. The noodles were awesome and comforting, and even the lemonade stood out (which says a lot because I don't usually notice drinks like that). Overall, everything we tried was solid and well-executed. Great flavors, good portions, and a menu that makes you want to come back and try more. 9/10 -- highly recommend if you're in Jacksonville and craving Korean fried chicken.

Bonchon - Strong Drinks, Perfect Crunch, Quiet Vibes Stopped into Bonchon and walked out pleasantly full and slightly buzzed, so that's already a win. I started with the sake flight, and let me tell you -- it was strong in the best way. No frills, no pretending... it did exactly what it needed to do. Food-wise, Bonchon delivered. The fried rice was absolute perfection: flavorful, buttery, and one of those sides you end up eating way too fast. And of course, the wings -- fried to that signature Bonchon crisp that never disappoints. My only miss was the Asian Garlic flavor. Not bad by any means, just not for me. Next time I'm definitely going plain or trying a different sauce. The restaurant itself was quiet and pretty empty, which made the service quick but the vibe a little low-energy. Works if you're looking for a peaceful dinner, less so if you're wanting a lively atmosphere. Overall: strong drinks, great food, and classic Bonchon crunch -- I'll be back, just switching up my wing flavor next time.

Bao Buns & Lychee Lemonade

I had bao buns, Korean fried chicken & lychee lemonade! 15/10!!!! I've never had chicken as good as this! It was crispy, flavorful, hot & fresh to order! The restaurant was clean. Service was quick & staff was nice! One of my go to spots!

2nd time ordered the fried chicken wing with dram sticks. It was so salty can hardly eat.

Was going to another restaurant but found out they were closed. Saw this one on yelp thought to give it a try. I was very happy we did. The server was extremely helpful and helped us order. Place looks brand new. Chicken was fried perfectly. We loved the fries too!! We loved the Sapporo beer. We will be back for sure!!!

Place was delicious! 5 drum legs could fill 2 people up easy, maybe even 3. Little pricey but good food is. Lemonades and teas are so good. Double fried Korean chicken is always a good choice

We visited June 19th after reading reviews about them having amazing wings. As we walked in a young girl with brown hair (pic attached) was by the drink dispensers. She walked in the back when we walked in and never returned. We stood at the register for almost 8 minutes with no one acknowledging our presence. The door was ajar in the kitchen & there were two people in the kitchen. The gentlemen literally never spoke and closed the door. Still no acknowledgment so we left. As we were leaving who reappears? The worker from earlier. She still never spoke, never tried to stop us, no apologies, nothing. I called the next day and spoke to the "manager" on duty McKenna who said she was going to pass my information over to the general manager. She was so eager to get off the phone, she hung up without saying goodbye. Just an all around terrible experience.

They have gone down hill. I used to order this all the time and it has gotten worst. First the portions used to be bigger and the sauce was thicker now it's water down. Barely any rice cakes as well

Potstickers & fries

The food was absolutely baller. The service was even better and the atmosphere was so comfortable and chill. I was honestly shocked it wasn't packed wall-to-wall on a Friday night. 10/10 experience.

I saw they had a Tuesday deal for two margarita pitchers for $20 so I was really excited to try them. You cannot see into the restaurant from the street so they looked closed but once I got to the door and heard the music, I went right in! Unfortunately, the drinks were a major disappointment. I ordered a blackberry margarita and a mango margarita and both had a very strange taste. I ended up having to send the blackberry pitcher back because it was that bad. I honestly think the premade margarita base may have been the issue because neither drink tasted right. Thankfully, the shrimp tacos were AMAZING! They were some of the best shrimp tacos I've had, and they definitely weren't stingy with the shrimp. Even the chipotle sauce which I was initially hesitant about, paired perfectly with the tacos. The staff was also very friendly and didn't give us any trouble at all when we returned the blackberry pitcher which I really appreciated. The decor was super cute with paintings featuring influential artists and notable figures throughout the restaurant. But the DJ was definitely the highlight of my visit! I didn't stop dancing or singing the entire time. I would definitely come back the next time I'm in Jacksonville and give the drinks another try. The restaurant was packed with people enjoying a variety of menu items, so I think a second chance is definitely deserved. Hopefully the drinks I try next time are better because the food, atmosphere, staff and music were all great

We were asked how many by a young lady but later approached by a young man. He eventually sat us, gave us menus and told us that he would be our server. The menu provided didn't have brunch options although it was Sunday Brunch hours. He didn't return to our table for over 20 minutes. He was serving several tables around us but since we were in the corner I think he forgot about us. My friend had to go to him and inquire when he was going to take our order. He took our order. The food came out promptly. Our server checked on us one time after we received our food and we had to wait on him to return to pay our tab. My friend loved his food and has been here several times before. I enjoyed the fish but the grits were kinda bland... Sunday Brunch is more of a club vibe, it's loud. I would like to come back and try some other menu items.

This is one of those places that we love but haven't been to in far too long. We both tried things that were new to each of us tonight as well, which was cool. I ordered The Ole Smokie, with everything on it and choose cheddar cheese. My first thought when it was brought to the table was "oh, I'll probably have to go at this with a fork & knife" but I decided to give it a shot as intended. I'm glad I did because the bread held up surprisingly well! As far as ingredients go, the brisket was good and smokey. There was a good mix of everything else and more than enough cheddar. My wife ordered the Chicken Cheesesteak. She also had a choice of cheese and she picked whizz. The thing that separates this from what people might expect is that it's chunks of chicken, not shredded chicken. She said that's not a bad thing at all, just a change from what some might exoect. She thought it was a welcome change. She liked their cheese whizz a lot and liked the roll as always, so she was glad she tried it. It's worth noting that both sandwiches were big enough that we both took half of each home. I didn't get the name of the two people that were working there this evening, but I'd still like to give then a shout out. They were both incredibly patient with the customers ahead of us and they didn't make us feel rushed even though we were there fairly close to the time they close on Friday evenings. Another good visit to Clarke Bros. Here's hoping it doesn't take us so long to get back here again for the next visit!

Ordered at the front counter and was greeted by a friendly young lady... good start. I went in planning to get the muffaleta off the specials board. They checked on it, but no luck... they were out of the cuts needed. I was pointed toward the Italian, but my buddy already grabbed that and I felt like being different. Noticed another special on the wall, a smoked brisket sandwich. Can't remember the exact name, but that's what I went with. Instead of chips or their homemade tots, I grabbed the balsamic roasted brussel sprouts as an appetizer. Tables weren't the cleanest and were a little wobbly, but nothing deal-breaking... we made it work. Food came out pretty quick and looked solid. Flavor-wise... a little mixed. The brussel sprouts were very flaky and leafy, almost crumbled apart. You really had to work your fork to get a bite. I was picturing larger roasted halves. Sauce was fine, nothing bad, nothing special. I'd give those a 3 out of 5. The brisket sandwich was interesting. The meat was very fatty and kind of tough to chew through. Not sure if that's just the cut or the prep. I ate about three-quarters of it. It wasn't bad, just didn't hit the way I hoped. Probably still thinking about that muffaleta. Another 3 out of 5. I'd come back, no doubt... but next time I'm sticking with what they're known for. Those cheesesteaks always look great, and that's probably the move. Today was about trying something different, and I'm glad I did... even if it didn't knock my socks off.

We came in on a Wednesday evening. We asked about the menu and were told at the counter that it was Wing Wednesday and the wings were $1 each. Well how could we not add those onto our order. We ordered a Burnt Ends platter with mac and cheese, and corn nuggets, a Brisket Platter with corn nuggets and beans. We also ordered a large mac for my son and a side of lean brisket. For the wings we ordered the Cajun ranch. Our food started coming out in about 5 minutes. Firstly, I was shocked at the wings. I love wings, but they aren't something I usually order often as I find them just OK. There are only a couple places that I visit specifically for wings. Well, let me tell you, I would make a visit back just for these wings. OMG, the Cajun ranch was simply amazing, really addictive. They were my favorite item. We devoured them. The burnt ends were very good. I appreciate they are big chunks of brisket with no pull pork filler. The flavor was amazing as well and the bits of fat melted in our mouth. The corn nuggets were fine and the Mac N Cheese was quite tasty. We enjoyed the meal so much, were were trying to figure out somewhere for a family lunch the next Sunday and came back again. This time my sister, son and I brought my dad. We of course ordered more wings and burnt ends and brisket with lots of Mac N Cheese. The food really is something special. The wings are absolutely wonderful and the burnt ends are a hit. This is definitely one of my new favorite restaurants and will always be on my list of visits to enjoy when I come back to Jax.
