After hearing my boyfriend rave about this place, we decided to get it for lunch. He's a big fan, but he also likes wings a lot more than I do, so I guess I'm not as easily impressed. We ordered to-go, so I can't comment on the atmosphere or seating. Their menu on yelp is out of date, just a heads up to everyone - you're better off going to their actual website. I got the 10 piece chicken strips (because wings = just okay) but my boyfriend got the 10 piece wings. It comes with a choice of coleslaw. I got the kimchi and he got the regular. There are more sides available, but they don't seem super affordable. The combos look like a fairly priced option if you're hungry, but their website doesn't specify that it comes with anything other than the meat. A little disappointing, but nonetheless. The boxes they have for their take-out do a good job retaining the heat without making the meat soggy! Their breading is unusual from the standard american fried chicken, but I think I like it better. Its not as crispy, in my opinion, but it does still have the fried texture. Their sauces are a-mazing. I was very impressed with the flavors! Their spicy sauce (not sure if thats the same as the spicy garlic from the out-dated menu...) was too spicy for me, so I had half of my bf's soy wings anyway. I wish they had more sauce options, but the soy was delicious, so I guess I'm not complaining that much. Their daikon is perfect with the wings. I could probably eat that on its own - there's not enough! I think there were only 3 pieces. There was plenty of food for me and my bf (which says something). I can honestly say my first experience was a success. It was easy to get to, right off Remington, and it seemed like parking was readily available. I'm not sure what it'd be like on a weekend, as a CVS is right next to it, but maybe I'll save that until next time. Came here for lunch with a friend thats moving away. She recommended and its something I would like to come back again if I was in the area and feeling for some chicken. The chicken was actually tasteful and juicy and good crunch to it. Definitely get the mixture unless you want just a certain part of the chicken only. It also comes with sides and for a large order you get two side so the choices are either coleslaw, kimchee, rice or biscuits. A large order is good enough for 2. This place does tends to get busy around lunch and dinner and is a bit hit to a younger crowd as well. so sometimes they might just end up hanging around instead of here for a meal and leave so prepare to wait or come early. read more

First off, Bonchons chicken is always delicious and top quality. I love their food and this review does not reflect their food in any way. However about a week ago me and my girlfriend received some of the worst service. I won't get into super long detail but in short he forgot our drinks after being reminded once, left our table for a smoke break after taking our order and never even put our order in the computer. Tables that were seated 30 mins after us were getting their food before us, this is about 45 mins into our table. Another server had to actually retrieve our server who was outside to remind him to put our order in... I have never experienced such forgetfulness and irresponsibility. Take in mind that it wasn't even busy. Our server told us he was sorry but it really didn't help our situation. I would recommend name tags for the servers there because we didn't catch his, I want to say it was Eric but I'm not completely sure, was too frustrated to remember or care. Once again, Bonchon always has delicious food but for the lack of good service this is why I leave them with 2 stars. Omg. I've never seen such a long line for the most crispy chicken ever. I'm addicted to their rice, radish, and chicken which made a good combo altogether. Compare to Bonchon at two other locations that I've been to, this location provide out of the oven tasting chicken which made it so flavorful and delicious. Although I live closer to the Bon Chon in Blossom Hill, I prefer eating at this one. This establishment, although smaller, is a lot better in texture and taste. We ordered the Medium(20 pcs) half & half and a side of calamari for 2! The chicken is more crispy and flavorful compared to the one in Blossom Hill. And, the calamari was a little different than what I've ever had before - it was sweet. It was sweet and savory, and very good! In addition, our server was friendly and attentive. Favorite place to get chicken wings in SJ! Most Bonchon locations I've been to have a crazy long wait so I was shocked to get handed a plate of freshly cooked wings here mere minutes after ordering. I almost thought it was meant for a different table. They give you free sides here too! If you've been to any Bonchon restaurants before, the quality is on par with the others. Bon Chon....I've eaten here three times last week . I'm hooked. The first time coming I was with a friend and we were greeted and seated by a very cute nice waiter. The place is small but very modern and clean.we ordered the large 20 piece wings half spicy and half regular with coleslaw and kimchi coleslaw. The food came out relatively quick. Can I just say that the regular flavor easily made it to the top of my chicken list along with San Tung and 99. Soooooo GOOOD I can't even. The flavor is strong but not too strong. It wasn't too saucy or too crunchy. I wasn't that big of a fan for the spicy flavored one. It was a little too dry and the flavor wasn't strong enough. The coleslaw was good but I'm not a big fan of coleslaw in general. The pricing is decent around $20 for 20 pieces? I'll take it. I've never bothered with writing reviews so for me to sign up and give my very first review, this was bad. They say first impressions are very important. So I was very disappointed with my first visit here. I've had the chicken before at a friend's house and really enjoyed it. So when we had a family potluck, I immediately thought of this place. Even though it was out of the way, I didn't mind driving over cuz I wanted my family to try it. I was ok seeing how busy they were so patiently waited after placing my order. I was told 20-25min wait but ended up waiting close to 45min because they LOST MY ORDER. If I hadn't asked, after approaching them 3 times trying to check on my order, they wouldn't have known anything was wrong. It wasn't until I pointed out that close to 10 parties who were seated AFTER I placed my order had all gotten their food, did someone go in the kitchen to check. And that's not counting the togo orders that came after me. I had a party of 20 ppl waiting for me so needless to say I was pretty pissed. Yes the chicken was good but the lack of organization with their ordering system is awful. Normally I would have just cancelled my order and requested a refund. Like, you crave it enough to run over there mid afternoon and at dinnner when someone takes the last wing, you both realize you were glaring at them. I'm sad they no longer have biscuits as I don't really dig the radish cubes (tolerable but not exciting) or the other sides (their version of kimchi is fine, but different than I like). The kids also demolish their potstickers, which are basically taste the same as the chicken, which is to say awesome. I love bon chon, it's my favorite fried chicken place and I'm so happy they're opening up a lot more throughout the SJ area so that I don't have to make a drive all the way to Sunnyvale. But what sucks about the SJ Bon Chons is that they don't come with complimentary sides other than the radish so I usually stick with the Sunnyvale Bon Chon. Love this place because the chicken is always so good and crunchy on the outside and tender and juicy on the inside!! This place has honestly never disappointed me. Just hate that the wait is always so long on weekends which is the only time I'm back in town, sigh. But the last time I visited the forks were a bit dirty and the waiter was slow, but that's understandable because it was really packed that night. We had 3 wings with their spicy sauce, we were warned ahead of time that they changed their spicyness from a 6 to an 8 on a level of 1-10. Let's just say we wasted 3 wings cuz they were so inedible. The place is called bon chon chicken but you only get daikon for the bon gon that is complimentary. I enjoyed the soy garlic chicken. The crispness was good on both drumsticks and wings.
