From start to finish, Bones was full of great food, service, generosity, and class. When you walk in, the interior feels classy and traditional. Bones has old money vibes - for example, the receptionist referred to us as Mr. and Ms. which I felt like was very polite and again, traditional. We were celebrating my birthday, and they pre-decorated our table a little bit! We got special print-out menus that said "Happy Birthday" and the table had a little bit of confetti on it! It was a nice gesture to be welcomed with. Our server, Michael, was great at being attentive (without being overly attentive), and providing recs/answering our questions. We went with the Crab and Lobster Napoleon for our app, the Ribeye to split, and a side of their famous Hash Browns. Everything was very good!! I will let the pictures speak for themselves, but all the food comes out hot, fresh, and with good flavor. I really do recommend getting the Hash Browns - it sounds a little silly to order such a dish at a steakhouse, but try it for yourself :) All dishes have a good portion size so keep that in mind when ordering! While not pictured, I do have to give a shoutout to the complimentary bread service - their bread is real good. Hot and fluffy on the inside, crispy on the outside. Try not to get full off the bread alone. For dessert, Bones surprised us with literally the tallest and thickest slice of ice cream cake I've ever seen! My jaw dropped. I love ice cream cake and it was awesome to be treated to some!! I already thought that the table decorations and the special menu were enough to recognize my birthday, but this is the generosity of Bones. I will absolutely be returning some day! If not for the amazing food, then for the equally amazing hospitality! Thank you Bones for a wonderful birthday! Note: Complimentary valet parking ONLY. We asked the valet person if we could just park the car but we weren't allowed to. Bring some cash for a tip.

I've been dining at Bones since early 2000's and in 2026 I still have nothing but great things to say about them. Night out with friends or celebrating a special occasion they will treat everyone the same. The staff is amazing, each and every one of them. They literally are the Cheers (showing my age) of Atlanta steakhouses. Celebrated my birthday per usual at Bones. It's become tradition.

I'm giving this restaurant a 4/5 because I visited for a work event. We had about thirty people, and we were given a private room in the back, which was great because it allowed us to mingle without disturbing other customers. Since it was a large party, we had a fixed menu with two steak options or salmon. I chose a medium-rare steak, which was delicious, and all the sides were equally tasty. For dessert, we had a variety of options, and we didn't have any complaints. The only thing that would have been nice is if the server gave recommendations and engaged in conversation with us. However, I think that was lacking due to the large party size. I'm definitely planning to return with a smaller group in the future.

What a handsome restaurant with a relaxing vibe! We were welcomed by friendly employees, and our server couldn't have been more helpful! This was the perfect celebratory spot to treat our son for his birthday dinner. Bones even printed custom menus complete with a "Happy Birthday Robert" cover and sprinkled party confetti on the table center. Our perfectly crafted Martinis got the evening started! Dinner details: *According to our server the Lobster Bisque is a favorite, so Yes, Please! It was creamy, full of bits of lobster and hit the spot on this cool January evening. A reorder. *The signature Bones salad was a hit, too. Fresh bite size Bibb lettuce greens were tossed with crumbled Stilton blue cheese, Granny Smith apple slices, toasted pistachios and their vinaigrette. Delish! *My entree of 8 oz. Beef tenderloin was cooked perfectly to requested medium. I would forgo the Au Poivre (black pepper) topping in the future. While I love this spice, it was generously caked on my filet and was overpowering. I actually scrapped off the excess and shared with others that wanted to try it on their steak. There was so much on my steak that I was able to share with several at our table. See photo. Shared sides: *Another must try according to our server was the Hash Browns. Everyone at our table enjoyed this side of grated potatoes formed into a large Hash Brown patty, cooked to a lovely crispy exterior, tender interior and topped with a large dollop of sour cream. A reorder next time. *The onion rings were large, crispy and beautifully stacked when brought to the table. They were good, but I think I'd save the calories and not reorder this shared side. *Another side recommended as a customer favorite was the Corn Pudding. If you order this slightly sweet leaning side dish think bread pudding with corn throughout. Not one person at our table liked it, and we would not reorder this Bones favorite again. Bones kindly served our son a generous slice of layered ice cream cake complete with a birthday candle. It was such a large slice Robert let us all have a bite. It was fantastic! I'd order this in the future! I look forward to returning sooner than later!

Ok, I am guessing this has been covered in any reviews but we had one of the best experiences celebrating my dad's milestone bday. I booked a private room in advance and there was no extra charge or minimum. Room was awesome, with custom menus, decorations, and made it much easier to carry on a conversation. Service could not have been better, not intrusive but on top of everything with a smile. The bread ? Could have eaten just that, but everything we ordered was perfect, salads (they suggested splitting or half salads which was perfect), meats cooked to perfection, and the complimentary dessert was enough for our party of 5. No wonder this place is an institution!

Tonight was my mom's birthday, and tomorrow is my father's so I gave them a choice of where they wanted to go, they chose to go to Bones! Really excited because I love it here. We started off with the peach mule, and a Manhattan for my dad. Got a bottle of red and we were odd! Michael our server was incredible, professional, friendly and helpful. The entire team here makes everyone feel very special. First out was their house-made bread. Crunchy on the outside and pillowy soft on the inside. So addictive! Wedge for my dad, I split the bones salad with my mom and it was killer! I didn't think I'd like the Bibb lettuce but it had just enough crunch and incredible flavor. I ended up picking at my dad's wedge at the end, got all of the goodies. All three of us got steaks. Two bone in ribeyes- I had au poivre, one had NY Strip. Our sides were the spinach, mushrooms, and their famous hash browns. I have not seen my parents eat as much as they did tonight. We still had a lot left over, and I want to point out that every steak was nailed, cooked exactly how it was ordered. The au poivre sauce was so good, peppercorn crusted and the demi was super rich. I should've asked for another side to go! They came out with a giant piece of their mountain high pie for dessert, a blue candle for my dad and a pink one for my mom. Special touch. Many thanks to everyone here at Bones. From the valet to the runners, everyone treated us like we were family. I cannot thank them enough for making my mom and dad's birthday dinner so special.

Hard to say anything bad about Bones. The food was solid with reasonably priced cocktails. Bones however stands out with their attention to detail with the service they provide with many on staff having worked there for some time. You can tell how long they've worked there by the number of stars in their uniform with each star representing a five year period. Bones has typical old school steakhouse vibes. Would have preferred to have had more than one dry aged choice (ribeye)

Been here twice, once on a first date a decade ago and again recently. It's a classic steak house that does the classics very well. Excellent Manhattan cocktail. Excellent wedge salad. Excellent New York strip. Excellent mile-high pie. Excellent service. Nothing I don't love about it.

$$$$$ 3/5/25 Every year, my daughter and I have visited Bones the first week of March. It is to celebrate the fact that we made it through another February! Yes, there is a story behind that, but that is for another time and another place. This is year three of having dinner at Bones, and to our delight it was just as fabulous as a previous two years. As always, the service is outstanding, and the atmosphere is genuine and warm. I might have mentioned this before, but for the ladies... The bathrooms are clean, private, and just worth a visit! Our server did not hurry us through dinner, and he, and all who watched over us, were very attentive. We were there for well over an hour, but never felt like they wanted us to leave. There is a bar in the front area of bones, where you can catch a drink before your table is ready... as well as some seating with comfortable chairs and high tables for sipping on your drink. The food is incredible, and I always end up taking something home. And, save room for dessert... they are off the charts! Enjoy your evening, travel safely, and make great memories!

In the men's room. Not sure what the bulldog is about to get from the schnauzer but Bones is supportive.

Bones always treats us great! Service is top notch, though I don't consistently have a server here. Steaks are excellent as you'd expect with amazing cuts, but the bone in fillet is my go to. You have to get the onion rings and foie gras as well. Lastly, be sure to come for someone's birthday so you can get their amazing ice cream cake.

Great ambiance and food options. Sat at the bar with my date for the evening and it was an exceptional experience. Bones is unlike any other steak house in the metro area. The service is personal and business influenced. Drinks, Food Options, desserts and appetizers are in constant rotation from one end of the bar to the other. All options are favorable. Be advised some menu items may be sold out due to popular demand. Ordered the bone in 20oz rib eye. It was remarkable. Had two dirty martinis with extra olives. Everything was very good. If you have not experienced this restaurant my question is what are you waiting for?

I see that the dress code states "no low cut or revealing tops". If I were to wear a dress or shirt that shows cleavage, would we be turned away?

Would it be rude to bring a 3 year old child to a Saturday dinner?

    Yes.

Is this a place where you can come in jeans and a jacket?

Yes. It's white linen but a casual atmosphere.

What is the dress code here? Can you dress formally? Looking for a special occasion

You can definitely dress formally! My husband and I go for date nights and like to dress up. It's a very formal place with wonderful service.

Looking for a restaurant that my boyfriend and I can go to for a special occasion. We want to be able to dress a little more formal and wonder would it be appropriate here?

Yes! Bone's is definitely a place you can dress formally and fit right in. You'll feel like royalty once you experience their service.

This is my second time here and both times have been so good. We came as a party of 3 and left so happy and full. I love Mexican food holy moly We got the queso and octopus shrimp ceviche as starters. The queso was 3 cheeses: American, cotija, and Oaxacan. They heated it up under a salamander so it was nice and crispy on top, while being gooey all throughout. Also came with a couple of nice salsas. The ceviche was not my favorite because I don't prefer raw(ish) octopus, but the squid ink sauce was very flavorful. For our mains the 3 of us shared the red snapper, tuetano with lamb, and the mixteco poblano pepper. Red snapper had a nice charred smoky flavor from being grilled. Was more meaty than flaky in texture. It was our second time getting the mixteco poblano pepper and it hits. Highly recommend eating with some of the salsa as well if you get queso. The duck carnitas in it wasn't particularly duck-y today, but still very good. Best dish is definitely the tuetano. The bone marrow is so incredibly flavorful with the blue corn tortillas. Add some of the pickled onions and it's hard to go wrong with that flavor combo of salt, fat, and acid. if you're going to order one thing, I'd order this and share with a friend and tbh it's enough to be filling. For dessert we got the volcan de chocolate (basically lava cake). The lava cake and coconut ice cream combo is fantastic. You get bits of coconut flakes as you eat! Fair warning it isn't the brownie texture you may be used to, it's a bit more cakey. Amazing service the whole night! Almost got our cars booted because we forgot to validate until 1.5 hours in but luckily we were fine. The staff let us know they have been booting cars though so be wary!

Our daughter spent the first few minutes waving at the staff, and they genuinely lit up every time -- such a warm, welcoming vibe right from the jump. Starters We kicked things off with the she‑crab soup, and that's when we knew the meal was going to be special. Tons of rich crab flavor and chunks of crab. The crispy shrimp toast was another hit -- crunchy, savory, and a great pairing with the soup. We also ordered the Baker's Dozen oysters, chef's selection. All 13 were fresh, clean, and briny in the best way. Next up: the Spanish octopus, and honestly... top five octopus dish we've had. Cooked perfectly -- tender, melt‑in‑your‑mouth texture. The salsa macha added just the right amount of heat, and the marcona almonds brought a great crunch with the cilantro, lime, and mint brightening everything up. What a beautifully composed dish. We finished with the Halibut and Lady peas. The Halibut was topped with lobster and served with a lobster butter sauce, chives, and capers. Rich, buttery, flaky, and perfectly cooked. The lady peas (fava beans, asparagus, and a generous mound of blue crab) were another standout. So much flavor, but everything complemented each other instead of competing. This time in particular we ordered the whole lobster and was offered to have it taken out of the shell for us. HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND. When we addressed with the server, she argued with us that that's how a lobster is and that there could be more meat hidden on the plate. It felt like she thought we were there to just get more food by saying "so what do you want, more meat" but if we had it in the shell we would have received our full portion. The manager on duty insisted to give us the lobster and take it home. The server wasn't very polite and argued with us about the lobster. I wish I remembered the servers name With that said, the amount of money we have spent there over the years, it's unfortunate that that will be our last time going to the Optimist.

STK is definitely on the pricier side, and the menu is largely à la carte, so keep that in mind when planning your visit. Still, if you're looking for an upscale dining experience and don't mind spending a little more, I recommend trying it.
