The prices are typical, $7-$9 a glass, totally worth it. They always have a great cider, as well. The food can be a bit bland. (I've only tried the vegetarian stuff.) My meat eating friends say that the meat is ok. The sweet potato tater tots are delicious, as are the fresh cut french fries. I really go here for the trivia night on Tuesday put on by King Trivia. The Quizmaster's name is Austin and he's always a laugh. It starts at 8pm, but get there by 7pm to get a table. It might have been at our table, but I had placed my drink down, but I had gotten startled that my drink would fall since it was on a plank of wood that was protruding out compared to the rest of the table. The babe burger was pretty good. The apple slices in the burger was a nice touch. The burger was on the small side, about the size of the burgers at Yardhouse. It is a perfect serving size though. They only have beer and wine here which we passed on since we were trying to get into some vodka later haha. The tap selection here is really nice and the menu, while not terribly diverse, is well prepared and tasty. The carne asada fries are on point, that's the kind of food that sounds good after a couple of 10% imperial stouts. The inside is dark and divey but very clean and the wait staff and bartender (sometimes the same person working as both) are always tasking making sure your drink isn't empty or checking if you want to order anything else. For a place that's primarily a taproom the quality of food and service is great. The pours are only slightly above average price but nothing to deter me from coming back and enjoying the place. read more

But wait, in your website it says that brunch is served until 2PM on Sunday and it was only 1:05. No, the waitress explained to us that the brunch is over at 1PM. WOW, the reason we went to the restaurant was to have brunch. Unfortunately we left and had brunch somewhere else. Low quality food. We tried "babe burger" (truffle burger) and it was absolutely disgusting, as if something went bad. The bun was cold, not toasted or anything. The meat wasn't good quality, you could tell it had been frozen. The truffle/mushrooms were definitely cheap or expired. And it was a 15$ burger!! We also had the sweet potato fries and we don't recommend them. On top of that, there were two servers; our primary server was brunette with tattoos and she was always gone, we didn't like her. The other one was blonde and she was actually kind and much more helpful. This neighborhood pub in Old Town Covina has a pretty decent craft beer selection on tap (21?) The service is quick and friendly and there are plenty of parking spaces, either directly on Citrus, and/or in the public parking lots nearby. The food that I've tried so far has been average to good. The Babe burger is four star worthy, and so are the house-made chips with gorgonzola and sweet balsamic. The portobello mushroom fries were once noteworthy, but for some reason, recently has declined in crunch, presentation, and flavor. The black truffle sauce isn't as pungent and the romano(?) parmesan(?) shavings seem less plentiful and sharp. Overall, it's a welcome addition to what amounts to be a food desert in Covina, but I'm not entirely sold on the place as a "must try" destination yet. Three and a half stars for now. read more

The bartender shared that once a tap is out, they swap it with something else, so there is an element to exclusivity to their selections. It somewhat difficult for me to write this review, due to the great quality of food but lack of good service. We made reservations for a party of 5, without being told it was self seating. However, they said they took reservations. We made reservations at 8:30 pm Friday night, we got there maybe 5 minutes earlier..All the tables were packed! We waited for 30 minutes until we were finally seated. It took another 15 minutes to get our drink order taken...and the another 20 minutes before we got to put in our food order. it was almost 9:40 when we finally put all our orders in. The food came out around 10 pm, yet they were very quick to bring us the check at the end. However, they did give us a complimentary dessert for having to wait so long, which was incredible.
