We had our eye on this place through renovation until it opened; love the concept! I had the apple & bacon grilled cheese with double shovel dry cider which was Oh So Good. Pleasantly surprised by the tomato soup accent! My husband had the Cubano with a Moose's tooth hard apple ale- it was excellent. Sometimes restaurants tend to make them a little dry, but this was not. The garlic fries were the best he has ever had. Service was punctual- had plenty of nice little quirks that could annoy some, like water carafes (ccool) that only held 2 glasses' worth. The pretzel was in the shape of a bun but still had excellent flavor. The butter on top made him almost not want to use the cheese, which was also excellent, and perfectly proportioned to the pretzel. My mouth waters just typing this... My husband doesn't want to write a review of his own because he doesn't want it to get too crowded, but of course we also want it to succeed. The seating wasn't my favorite (about half tall chairs/tables, and all but one of the short tables was occupied) however the music was awesome and the vibe was good. We will be back! read more

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE - ordered for a pick up and the time given was 45 minutes out. Arrive and had to wait almost 30 minutes AFTER that 45 minutes for order. The order was cold when we got it (think grilled cheese turned cold again) The french dip sandwich is about half the size of any other place in town. The AuJus was in a container, wrapped in paper so that it tipped over and spilled 1/2 out by the time the bag made it to the car. It's how they put it in the bag. One sandwich was ordered with soup - of course they forgot the soup after we had already paid for it. And no we didn't get it at all. The sandwich sizes were Meh - could have made the exact same at home and gotten full after eating. The fries were like McDonald's cold. Nothing redeeming about this meal - except the experience to remind us to never go there again. read more

My husband and I have eaten here twice and are now looking for excuses to drive into Anchorage just so we can eat there, lol. We don't get to eat out much as my husband has Celiacs Disease. They have a fantastic GF bread/sandwich selection. They bake their fries instead of deep fry them! Oh! They are sooooo good. We've had the Bacon and Apple sandwich, the Jalopeno Popper, the Spicy Turkey, and Hello Basil- each one has been busting with flavor. I am not a fan of tomato soup and I loooooove theirs. They'll give you a cup for dipping, but I've learned my lesson, I now order a bowl. They have a modern, clean, atmosphere. It's not too large, therefore, not too loud. The staff is friendly and attentive. My ONLY complaint is that the sandwichs are just a tad small, at least the GF sandwichs are. read more

Service is non existent in this place, we sat for 30 mins waiting while there staff just stood thru the back, the staff would serve other customer but at a very very slow place. The food is poor to say the least for dinner to say the least, my recommendation is that this is an ideal lunch place or slow business meeting, just hope they are quicker. This time I got the Super Good cold sandwich. It is very hearty and lean with a good touch of veggies with a side of wrinkle chips. I like the pickle they put on the top too. The purple haze by Denali Brewery is a great beer for this meal too. The only reason I docked a star this time is because the beer is not exactly as cold as I usually like my beer. Our party of 6 all enjoyed their sandwiches and salads! Its a clean modern hip place with a decent tap beer and wine list. Service was good tho the food took a while to make it out i chocked it up to being their soft opening week (3rd day open) and frankly was worth waiting for @ $10 a sandwich, $6 for beer..... we will be back... glad they are in my hood! read more

Sometimes a sandwich shop is just a sandwich shop. I ordered a Ruben and bread with cheese dip. It was tasty.

We were looking for dinner places on the Labor Day, and as usual almost every place was closed. We went to Moose Tooth's first and it was crowded like crazy. We called and looked for other places and found this. We went in with little expectations but the restaurant pleasantly surprised us. We ordered the Goat Cheese pizza, tomato basil soup with side order of bread, and bread sticks with cheese. Oh man their bread is really out of this world. The pizza crust, the bread sticks and the bread that came with the soup was mind blowing. The way they toasted it with a little garlic butter and cheese, it melted in the mouth. The pizza was very good as well, and so was the tomato basil soup On leaving the restaurant we wondered why wasn't this place crowded on Labor day when it was so damn good as deserved every customer in town. Ordering online was easy and I was able to pay when I picked it up. Have frequented this establishment multiple times now and now have the entire office hooked on their goods. I would have given them 4 stars. Everyone is friendly and the food is exceptional, although their soup sizes are on the small side. However, I recently had an experience where I ordered food as take out. They estimated an hour for pickup. On arrival they had forgotten the order, and I required a receipt to avoid being charged a second time. The food was no longer hot. And when I got home it was missing the soup that would normally come with the order. After returning to the restaurant to pick up the soup, I discovered the soup that normally comes with the order comes in an extremely small size. (Like shot-glass size). I requested a bowl instead, and they charged me for the upgrade despite the trouble I had to go through to even get my complete order. I will likely not ever order take out from them again, as the customer service was so disappointing. read more

We stopped around 1pm for a weekday lunch for 5 of us and got a table and our food in less than 15 min. The menu has a wide variety-ranging from pizza, hot or cold sandwiches, salads, and some other misc. And lots of brews available too. We enjoyed several of the grilled cheese varieties. My favorite was the apple, Gouda, bacon. Dropped about $70 for sandwiches and soft drinks. Kinda what I'd expect to pay in this town so can't complain since the food was tasty. read more

Great new restaurant at a central location! The atmosphere was modern and chic. The servers were friendly and not overly attentive. I couldn't get enough of the bread with beer cheese. Other than the crust on the Reuben, the crust in the flatbread and the kettle chips were extremely hard, I'm still giving 5 stars, I just dont like hard foods. One of the worst experiences I've ever had in anchorage. Ordered 2 salads and a cheeseburger. Waited 1 hour and 5 minutes to receive our food. Tried this place several times now. Seems highly over rated. The dining room has a tiny footprint and they've crammed way too many tables so it's impossible to get to your seat, and then you'll need to shout above the din to have a conversation with your table mates. Food is mostly meh, but the pretzel I just had made me decide to never go back. The thing was basically just a loaf of burnt bread - not at all pretzel-like.
