There are no reservations, so getting a table really depends on timing. Service felt slow, and it took a while before our order was taken. Unfortunately, the food didn't live up to expectations. The omelets were disappointing, something you could easily make at home (and probably better). The cheese wasn't fully melted, and the eggs had a rubbery texture. I do not recommend the omelets at all. The "sourdough" bread was also a letdown, it tasted more like regular white bread than actual sourdough. The potatoes were fine, but nothing memorable. Tried Breakfast Republic in Culver City recently--great vibe, solid service, but a bit of a mixed bag overall. The atmosphere is lively and inviting, the kind of place you'd want to hang out for a relaxed brunch. Went on a Sunday brunch with the family. Wait time wasn't too bad for it being a weekend and around brunch time. We waited about 15-20 min but felt quicker honestly. Also got a side of their vanilla syrup which helped but heads up this drink isn't meant to be balanced it's meant to be STRONGGG! (At least that's what it seemed like) I got the crab and crawfish Benedict (gluten free option) and it was IMMACULATEEE!!!! Every bite was so fresh and delicious and especially it being gluten free it was sooooo good! The jam they had added a nice contrast and amazing touch to balance out the meal! The maple and sage sausage was also really good and def need to try the Jalapeño cheddar sausage next time! My mom got the gluten free strawberry French toast and OH MY.... They were HUGEEEEE I was soooo stunned for their massive size and fuffyness especially it being gluten free! It came with 3 HUGE slices of French toast and was a great bang for your buck!!! The jam was maybe a bit too sweet for my taste and the hollandaise felt very indulgent by the end, but overall I was impressed by the dish as a whole, particularly given this wasn't a vegan restaurant. I would absolutely go back and get the same dish, but there were some other vegan options I'd also be happy to try. I've been here a few times and have always had great food and a great experience but today the service was terrible We were sat and went unacknowledged for a bit and finally our server came and asked if we were ready. We asked for our two coffees and two waters and proceeded to order our food. She asked what creamer my partner would like and we said half & half. I asked if my breakfast sandwich could have fruit instead of potatoes or if it would cost, she said it could be replaced. My coffee came within a couple minutes. Food came. We were still without waters and my partners coffee. I could see the server in the back talking to her coworkers and laughing, hanging out. Finally she came back and i told her we never received his coffee or our waters. She repeated "waters" and walked away. She returned to her 4 tables and filled all their waters as we continued to wait for his coffee & waters. In fact, she returned to her tables to refill their waters TWICE. Finally we got the extra coffee (as we're halfway through our meal) but no creamer. She left it and said nothing, walked away. At that point we stopped another server and asked if we could get the creamer and water. I saw her go to our server (Yesenia v) and tell her we asked for our items. Our server came back and brought the water and creamer with NO acknowledgement that we had to ask 3 times for WATER. We chugged our waters down and she never came back to ask if our food was ok, if we needed anything, or to refill anything. Our table next to us was frustrated as well because they were never even given napkins and we could hear them having the same concerns about her as us. I think the most frustrating part was seeing her talking and laughing behind the bar instead of even checking in on us. We've both been servers so we are typically understanding but this was ridiculous. Then the bill came and even though it's only $2 i still specifically asked about the change of the potatoes for fruit. The principle that i asked if the substitute costs and she said no. From the lack of accountability that she forgot our drinks until our meals were almost done, never, checked on us, and that we had to ask THREE times for drinks on top of the bill. It wasn't even worth getting the bill changed at that point but I'm in shock at how bad the service was with Yesenia V. I could see other tables with other servers and having great service but our table and the one next to us were completely neglected and blatantly ignored. The least you could do is say "I'm sorry i got busy and it slipped my mind" but to say NOTHING. Thats insane. read more

Bomb breakfast here! On my day off I came here after I noticed this place as I was driving by a few weeks ago! Got seated right away outside, plenty of seating both indoor and out. Came here on a Sunday morning for a birthday brunch for my friend. We ordered the breakfast burger, brussel sprout potatoes, strawberry cheesecake pancakes and ube lattes. Everything was so delish!!! The burger is huge and so tasty, one of the best I've ever had. The strawberry pancakes were perfectly soft and sweet, and the brussel sprout potatoes are my FAVE (fyi there is bacon). As far as Breakfast Republic locations go, the food here is the quality I expected but the service wasn't. My waiter was very attentive and kind but it was difficult to get people's attention as they seemed rushed to move food. My table ended up waiting with our food in front of us for at least 10 mins before they brought us utensils after I asked 3 separate people. Food is always a hit and you can't go wrong with sweet or savory. Some favorites are the pancake flight and the eggs Benedict's. The staff who served us were super friendly and helpful. I would say if you're interest of any of the two flights I would suggest getting just the French toast flight. The country potatoes were old and stale, and the bacon tasted like it had been sitting out for a while. Not fresh at all. The coffee mug they gave us was chipped, and so was the half-and-half cup -- which is not only unappealing, but also unhygienic. On top of that, the cloth they were using to wipe down tables smelled terrible -- like it hadn't been cleaned in days. Not exactly what you want to smell while you're eating. They also serve homemade ketchup, which might sound nice in theory, but it tasted awful -- sour, strange, and absolutely nothing like ketchup. It honestly tasted old and unappetizing. Came here on a Sunday morning with 2 other friends around 10:30am, we waited about 10 minutes to be seated! They have a wonderful outdoor patio and I enjoyed the music they were playing as well. I got the mashed potato omelet with an order of the bottomless strawberry lemonade. The omelet was SOOO good! It had bacon bits, chives, cheese, and sour cream drizzled on top. I added some of their in-house hot sauce and it was the perfect touch. The mashed potatoes in the omelet were also soooo creamy, like the consistency was just right for this meal. I only wish I had substituted my side of potatoes for a side of fruit instead but potatoes come with the meal and their potatoes are SO good, no harm no foul ‍ For 3 meals, 2 bottomless lemonades, and one coffee, our total was around $68.
