Frankly I wasn't expecting much given that it's a quick service option located in an airport, but the spring rolls were even better than the ones I had at their sit down restaurant in Fountain Valley. The portions were much bigger, more flavorful, and I love how they warmed the sauce. The crunch in the Grilled Pork Spring Roll was literal perfection. For $10, it was definitely worth it. This will now be my go to spot for food at John Wayne airport.

For an Asian person, this would be a perfect place for snack and meal to eat while waiting 'n for the flight. They are well known in little Saigon and well established with the rolls so it's definitely a staple place to enjoy good foods. You can either order on line, kiosk or with the cashier. Overall, the foods are good and consistency. Nice & friendly service. Good and clean area and they have shared seating area.

Of all the choices in SNA in the morning, I'm glad that this is one of the options! Instead of heavy fried food, imagine biting into a fresh, light, and crunchy roll in the AM. Pair that with their coffee, you are good to go! Located between Terminal C and B, Brodard Express caters to travelers that venture through the halls of SNA. Staffs are super friendly and engaging which made it extra special. They also carry additional items such as banh mi's (Vietnamese sandwiches) and noodle dishes. But we all know why we want to visit here.. their Pork Spring Rolls. Around the area, there are plenty of seating for your quick casual bite. They are organized and efficient which helps for those who are on the go. One world of caution, it it a bit more expensive than their typical prices due to being in the airport. But, I would gladly pay for option. Also, though they don't open until 7am, talk to the staff if you want something simple. They most likely will accommodate you :)

House Special Rice Bowl with Charbroiled Prawns, Pork, and Crispy Egg Roll

Even though I had been well aware of Brodard's spot inside of John Wayne, I made a point of not coming here until I got to visit one of their actual restaurant locations. I know it might sound a little snooty, but, based on what I had heard from friends, part of me worried/figured that their famed Nem Nuong Rolls weren't going to be as good here. Now that I've been, those thoughts may be true, but only by the thinnest of margins! Located in the food court in Terminal B, this Brodard is obviously set-up differently than their restaurants. By comparison, the menu here is narrower, but it still has plenty to offer, including a variety of rice bowls, vermicelli bowls, banh mi, and, of course, their famed spring rolls. However, as their name suggests, everything is catered towards travelers on the go. Not only do they open early (7am) and offer a bunch of breakfast options (breakfast banh mi, breakfast spring roll, coffee, etc.), but they also have a bunch of their rolls prepackaged in to-go containers so folks can easily grab them on the run (the only reason why these aren't quite as good). -- BREAKFAST SPRING ROLLS (Bo Bia) - Vietnamese Sausage (Lap Xuong) and Egg Wrapped in Rice Paper with Veggies, Shallots, and Peanuts with Plum Sauce...$8.95 Ehh. Not "bad" per se, but their Nem Nuong Roll is way better. While the slice of sausage seemed fairly large, it was cut a little thin and I didn't care for the texture of the scrambled egg. Still, props for the creativity, even if this was more okay than amazing. -- HOUSE SPECIAL RICE BOWL with Charbroiled Prawns, Pork, and Crispy Egg Roll...$19.95 Pretty solid, especially for airport food. While neither the shrimp nor the pork had any char on it, and despite how the latter was a bit lean, both were well seasoned and the egg roll was decently crispy. Plus, I thought the overall portion size was pretty fair, too! -- BRODARD GRILLED PORK SPRING ROLLS (Nem Nuong) - Grilled Pork Patty Wrapped in Rice Paper with a Crispy Roll, Mint, Carrot, Daikon, and Cucumber with Brodard Sauce...$8.95 My favorite Brodard's roll and this one didn't disappoint. I loved how juicy and meaty the grilled pork was and how the crispy rice paper added a nice bit of crunch. Dip/pour on some of their Brodard sauce and you get a mouthful of deliciousness! Being that it's located inside of an airport, it's to be expected that the prices here are generally higher than either of their regular locations and at most other Vietnamese restaurants. However, aside from their banh mi, which definitely felt a bit steep, the prices actually aren't terribly high (the Nem Nuong Roll is about $2 more here). Plus, when you consider how convenient it is to pick up some rolls here to bring home, I'm more than okay with paying the extra couple of bucks to get them as fresh as I can before my flight!

Vietnamese food at an airport in America?! And is it good? It sure is. Might be better than many restaurants too Did not get the chance to get Brodard in Garden Grove during our trip but was able to seize the opportunity at the airport location before our flight Food was really good! The famous pork spring rolls were phenomenal and the chicken rice bowl was light, aromatic, and filling The steak banh mi was good but the bread did feel a bit stale (maybe not as fresh since this was 7 AM)? Would have loved to have some Vietnamese dessert (eg Che Ba Mau) too but that may be asking too much for airport diner. Overall if you're looking for some light, fresh, delicious food before your flight then this is a place worth trying!

I have to admit, as much as I trust my fellow Yelpers, when I read about people visiting John Wayne/Orange County airport just to eat here, I was doubtful. But after the breakfast I just enjoyed on my way home (flying out this morning), no doubt exists any longer. The croissant breakfast sandwich (egg, green pepper, cilantro, slender carrots) was perhaps the best breakfast sandwich I've had in months--such flavor and quality, especially in the croissant! And the Vietnamese coffee was on point--I got the hot, normal sweetness version--and is about to convert me from my black-only coffee days. Don't miss this delightful and delicious food.

Usually, whenever I fly out of SNA airport, I always make it a point to pick up a bahn mi from Brodard Express for the flight home. The sandwiches are great and never disappoint. This time, I decided to also try an order of eggroll because I had a craving. I was so excited for my eggrolls and had to eat it prior to boarding my flight. Little did I realize that paying $7.50 for the order only came with two little eggrolls smaller than the size of my pinky. I was disappointed. I won't be ordering the eggrolls ever again. Their bahn mi's are good and I also enjoyed the honey ginger tea. They put real bits of ginger in the tea which I thought was great and helped give my immune system a little boost before getting in an enclosed aircraft for my flight.

So happy to stumble upon this place in the airport nonetheless! Great selections of the most popular items Brodard is known for, from the legendary spring rolls to grilled rib eye banh mi and macarons. Prompt and friendly service. Clean and plenty of seating. Located at the food court in terminal B of SNA airport, but easy walking distance from either terminals A or C as all terminals are connected airside. Makes SNA even better!

The best airport food, ever. What's not to like? Brodard at the airport is as good as it gets. I always go for their pork rolls and a combo bowl (can select rice or vermicelli). And if you have extra room, get a Vietnamese coffee.

The nem nuong brodard grilled pork spring rolls are a must order if you decide to eat at brodard express. It's quick and easy to eat, I came on a Sunday morning around 630am, no line, the order came out super quick. The veggies in the roll are fresh, I love the crispy inside of it, the meat perfectly season and the dipping sauce is so delicious. Definitely a must try if have never tried brodard nem nuong brodard grilled pork spring rolls. Price wise its $9 for 2 rolls, a little pricey but hey its airport price with outside restaurants quality.

Not bad for airport food. I had the pork bahn mi, and Thai tea, hubby had the beef bahn mi. Good flavor on both, a bit on the dry side, but still was filling enough for lunch while we waited for our flight. Gal taking orders was cordial, she suggested the pork bahn mi to me. It was right across from our gate, and there were plenty of seating.

Hands down, the best to go food option at the airport! Brodard is known for its grilled pork rolls (nem nuong cuon). Fresh, flavorful and light - spring rolls are a must order! Banh mi is the Vietnamese sandwich available in different ways. The best is with the pate, with cold cuts, fresh cilantro and pickled daikon (radish and carrots). Do not bring this on the plane as it will stink up the entire plane. The pickled daikon does have a strong scent. Extremely delicious, a burst of flavor in EACH & EVERY BITE (skip Subways!). Lastly, the Vietnamese iced coffee (cafe sua da) is strong, buttery, sweet & delicious. It's a dessert in a coffee drink. Will keep you up! Brodard is my one and only stop for food before or on flights. Definitely try it - clean, nice customer service, fresh and variety on the menu! Enjoy! read more

Cmon! Fresh vietnamese food at the airport? No way! We're used to crappy fast food options only there. Rushing to catch my flight as usual and didn't have time for lunch when I suddenly remembered "Hey there's a Brodard at John Wayne now". Today just happy to be opening day. Got my nem cuon fix and a black viet coffee and it hit the spot. Now if they can open a Pho restaurant at the airport... that'll really the something! read more

Easily best dining option at JWA! Food is fresh, delicious, and reasonably priced, and I was really surprised at the variety they have on the menu. Very consistent quality to their flagship location. Super quick to grab before or after a flight. If you're familiar with Vietnamese food in OC, you know Brodard is probably the quintessential spot. We're very lucky to have a location in the airport (which historically does not have other great food options). If you're visiting OC for the first time, it's also an awesome spot to have a taste of authentic Vietnamese cuisine that the locals love. Will probably be here before and after every flight! read more

The spring rolls were incredibly fresh and packed with flavor, the banh mi sandwich beef was the true standout and my kids loved it. I also got myself a rice bowl, it was delicious and convenient before my flight! What truly sets Brodard Express apart from other stores at the airport is the exceptional service provided by the manager, she helped me patiently to select the foods for my family since they have quite a big menu, and a lot of options available. Their warm welcome and willingness to accommodate special requests for my kids were truly remarkable. Try them on your next flight at SNA. The line can be long but worth the wait, they make fresh healthy foods. read more

I am a weekly customer here but every time I run into this lady server and ask for the bigger bag, she would say no. Had no problems with other servers but she is the only one doing this nonsense service. I am spending $20 - $50 every week and this is what I get? This is so upsetting. Hope management team can review my input and do something about it because I don't want to go through this hurdle ever again when she's around.. read more

OMG - I just randomly stumbled upon this place in the airport, and had zero expectations (it was 1:30pm and there weren't any lines anywhere so I could not tell if it was popular) and ordered a Chicken Bahn Mi. No joke, The Nem Nuong spring roll is the best airport food I have ever had in my life. The pork was juicy, wrap perfectly and crispy rice paper on the inside added a perfect crunch that rounded out the dish perfectly. The sauce that came with it was amazing as well. read more

can't complain!!! i def don't expect the same exact quality as fountain valley location as this is the express location but it's good enough and it satisfied the cravings!! i was sooo happy when i saw that they were opening a location bc i thought that sometimes i may not be able to hit the fountain valley location every time im down in OC and this would be a great grab and go before my flights back to bay area!!! thankfully yesterday we got to the airport a bit early so we had time to go down to the gate. i got the fresh shrimp and avocado (they said they don't do pork at this location) and the shrimp paste ones. i also ordered their thai green tea with salted cream. the drink was decent but it didn't taste salted tho. overall, i'm just happy brodard is there and i would def not wanna grab food anywhere else but there every time im at the airport!!! read more

Amazing, tasteful food for an airport! So glad to find this Gem over by Gate 13. I enjoyed the chicken bahn mi, grilled shrimp spring roll (to die for), and a hot Vietnamese coffee. All were insanely delicious. I stopped by the next day on my way out and had an apple tart and a spinach/cheese croissant for breakfast and equally enjoyed them. Please stop by, they are my new faves at John Wayne airport! Yummm read more
