This place is on the more elevated side of "usual" diner fair. It should be said that I'm a "foodie" kinda girl and so obvi I'm wasn't here for super fancy meal, but what they offer, they do well. I like choices and so being able to order eggs bene 1/2 one way and 1/2 another appealed to me. They have lots of bene choices, even had a bene of the day. I also like that they offer veggie & vegan options. They also allowed me to sub out veggies for the bacon. I like that I could choose fruit instead of potatoes. This location (I've been to others) is well cared for. It's clean, bright with lots of comfy booths. What really shines brightest is their service. I was greeted and sat really quickly. It wasn't that busy, but sometimes when this is the case, help can get a lil lacking, but not here. I was visited once & briefly by the manager to check on me and the bus person was on top of used dishware. The reason I will return though, is because of my server named Brittany!!! She was so friendly, and struck just the right mix of attentive, but also gave me time to relax. She quickly told me bout the specials. She had a great eye for detail as when my meal was missing just a lil detail (the extra sauce I requested), she noticed before I could say anything and took care of it right away. Coffee/Water refills on point. She even took time to chat for just a minute bout Plant based diets as I noticed that the menu has some of those options which is great. I've been a server. It's a job that requires finesse, charm and quite literally being able to think quickly on your feet. I hope The Broken Yolk knows how fortunate they are to have Brittany serving all their guests! It's a Tuesday! 20 minute waiting for seating 55 minutes to get the actual food. If your coming on an empty stomach maybe have a snack before. My first time here and so far wasn't impressed. Not going to lie our server was amazingly nice and checked up on us occasionally. The vibe to this place is very hip and they have cool wall art I got the breakfast dogs wasn't that great literally felt like I was just eating a sausage on a stick :/ there wasn't really "pancake" batter on it. And it didn't have powder sugar on it either. My mother got some sandwich that the bread was actually French toast she didn't like it, she said it was a weird mixture and too sweet. My boyfriend got the hash skillet and said it tasted basic (haha) Maybe we choose the wrong day to come but there were a lot of people without plates and the food was pretty bland tasting. Looked amazing! But taste wasn't quite there. I will really have to think about giving it another chance and coming back. Forgot to mention they had empty tables and it still took them long to seat us and bring the food out. Came on a Sunday morning, and put my name on the waitlist before coming. My name got removed from the waitlist, but I called saying I was going to be a few minutes late and they kept my name down and sat me right away! (Sorry no pictures) My boyfriend got the American Breakfast with a lemonade, and I got the Cinna-cakes with mocha latte. The food was super delicious! We had to wait a little bit, but we were there during peak brunch hours so we didn't mind. Our server Viany was great! She took our order almost right away, and constantly checked up on us during our meal. She even gave me a to-go cup for my mocha latte! I'm being generous by adding the 2nd star. Had to wait super long for our order. But even worse, had to wait even longer for the bill. Got the bill and it was the wrong one. For a diff table. They brought a mimosa flight to us. Wasn't what we ordered. Gave us the receipt and cc for a diff table. 3 Strikes w mistaking our table for someone else's. Food wasn't good. At all. I guess it was my bad w ordering the California omelet. It did say American cheese. Honestly, I've never had an omelet w American cheese. It's always been cheddar or mozzarella or Colby Jack, pepper Jack,.... I mean ANYTHING but American cheese. Note to self: American cheese is really gross in an omelet. And there was so much of it, I couldn't just scrape it off and eat the damn thing. I asked for extra extra crispy hash browns. I have to say that or else it doesn't come out crispy at all. It STILL didn't come out crispy at all. I thought that maybe the biscuit would salvage that plate. Nope. Biscuit is so dry, neither butter nor Jelly could help it. I took a bite and it just crumbled. I shouldn't have to use a spoon to eat a biscuit. The French toast was ok. My friend liked her sope Benedict Ok. But that thing was a mess and falling apart. We were there over 2 hours. We probably spent 20 minutes eating. So, the rest of that was looking high and low for our server to bring our food, for the bill, to clear the dishes, to take my cc.... It took so long that my friend went to the hostess stand to get the check. And guess what, they gave her the wrong bill. They brought a receipt to sign, along w the credit card, and it wasn't ours. So they finally brought the correct one to us. At one point they brought us a flight of mimosas. We didn't order it. So she went to the table next to us, not theirs either. I think that server kept walking around. I don't know if she ever found the rightful table for those drinks. Sheesh!!! We're definitely never coming back. Very happy with my experience here at Broken Yolk. The staff was very friendly and the manager was very nice as well, checked on me a couple of times while I was here. But I wanted to give a big shout out to my server, Elizabeth. She was courteous, hospitable, prompt, outgoing, and made sure I had everything I needed, before I needed it. Went around 9:30am on a Tuesday morning and the rush hasn't happened yet, so I suggest going before 1030am for a quick seating! Hostess greeted us as soon as we walked through the door, this restaurant is very welcoming. Got seated with waters and our server (I believe Katherine) was excellent! She gave us the right amount of time to order and constantly checked on us to see how the food was and if we needed anything else. Closed out our tab and she still asked if she could be of any help, so sweet! Thank you again Katherine :) We ordered the messy caramel latte with almond milk, super sweet but was very tasty. Good portion for one, however if you're in need of caffeine I would skip and get something stronger. We split the hash skillet and chicken and waffles. The hash skillet was delish! I personally would want the potatos to be a little more crispy but that's just my preference. I added some cholula for a little kick. The chicken and waffles were okay, nothing too crazy. They remind me of chicken tenders and the seasoning is not my favorite but it was good. The waffles were fluffy! Maybe next time I'll order the waffles with strawberries. Overall lovely experience! I have been waiting to try this place for months since it opened. I arrived today at lunchtime, wanting breakfast. I was surprised that there was a wait but Oscar, who was helping at the front desk, went out of his way to be extremely friendly and helpful and assured me I would be seated within 15 minutes. I almost didn't wait because I was on a time schedule but I decided why not I've made it this far. As I waited I was able to get a good look at the restaurant and the people running it and the guests and the interaction between the employees and it seemed like everyone was very happy and had a good vibe going on. After I was seated in a nice booth my server approached me within a fine amount of time to take my order. Within five minutes somebody from the kitchen dropped off my breakfast which consisted of their American breakfast traditional, I ordered two poached eggs crispy hashbrowns bacon and sourdough toast. I also ordered a bloody Mary which was a House specialty. The bloody Mary was delivered about five minutes after my meal which was odd but I did not complain. Everybody working there was wonderful and very nice and accommodating. They have quite a large menu consisting not only of breakfast items but fabulous lunch items and salads as well, they have vegetarian meals, gluten-free meals and house specialties. I will be back to try one of their delicious looking omelettes and the avocado toast with poached eggs which looked to die for. I also spied a specialty French toast dish loaded with raspberry syrup and fresh raspberries and whip cream if you have a hankering for something sweet. They offer several fancy coffee beverages and non-alcoholic beverages as well. They also do four styles of bloody Mary's and bloody Mary flights and offer mimosas and domestic and imported beers. I ordered eggs over easy, a slice of ham, hash browns, and toast. The platter was served with cold eggs. I had a couple bites but was disappointed-- I so do not like cold eggs. The server checked back asking how everything was, and I said the eggs were cold. She brought me two eggs over easy immediately. I mean that in less than two minutes I had two more eggs, hot off the griddle. The food is high quality, flavors are excellent, and service is superb. We came back again today to one of our favorite breakfast places. As usual our table was ready as promised even though we had a large party of eight. The staff was very warm and friendly, and we just can't say enough good things about them. This diner is always busy! Luckily we went on an off day so there was no wait but the restaurant was definitely full. The food is your typical diner breakfast. We got the ranchero skillet and the caprese benedict. They were both good but the skillet was better and I wouldn't come back for the Benedict. We came as a party of two on Sunday noon and was told that there was an hour wait, but we got in after just 30 minutes, which is not too bad! When you put your name down, you immediately get a text and it tells you which position you're at on the waitlist. So don't get discouraged by the long wait, it will go by rather quickly as there are a lot of seats in there. The service here was good, we were able to order both drinks and food within 5 minutes, but it took a while (20+ minutes) for the orders to come out and that's why I bumped it down to a 4 star. We ordered Fried Chicken and waffle Benedict, Meat Lover Omelet and short stack pancakes (2), which were all delicious! Each portion was also pretty big. We couldn't finish the short stack pancakes because we were so full! If we're in the area and there's less people, it would be a nice place to grab brunch and coffee. read more

We are happy to report we recommend this spot for everyone!
