Just yesterday I purchased lunch for my office. I ordered 3 chicken salads and a BLT. The BLT was fine, but the salads were horrible! I first ate the salads and it tasted like pure aspirin. The taste was so bad that I ran to the store to get some juice. At first, we thought we just had bit into a strong onion, but then my co-worker ate her salad and she got the same horrid taste. She mentioned that the cucumber gave that taste, so she tried a cucumber individually to make sure. It ended it being the cucumbers. I immediately told the 3rd staff not to eat it. I quickly called the restaurant and told them of the bad salads, explaining that it was most likely the cucumbers. The Brolly Hut employee then quickly put me on hold for a few minutes and came back and confirmed it was the cucumber, more specifically the cucumber skin. She then proceeded to tell me to pick out the cucumbers and continue eating the salad. I responded, "I've been a loyal customer for 10 years and you want me to pick up the cucumbers and continue eating the salad? My coworkers and I did not feel comfortable eating the salad like that." The staff then put me on hold again and put the manager on the phone. The manager then said to go pick up a salad without the cucumbers, only after I insisted and repeated myself multiple times. I ended up going to Brolly Hut and just requested a refund. They did give me a refund, but refused to refund the extra money for the avocado. I left it at that. Anytime I've gone to any other restaurant and happen to receive bad food, they NEVER have a problem or question to receive new food. As a customer for almost 10 years, I am disappointed in the customer service I received when a mistake was made on their part. Not only were they hesitate to give me new salads then changed it to e refund, I received an attitude on the phone when I initially called. read more

Everything here is pretty darn good. It's your go-to burger joint. I choose it over Steve's on prairie even though Steve's has a drive through and Brolly does not. They expect you to pay for your extras so don't try to get anything for free. They food is bomb and speaks for its self. I gave it 4 stars because one time the ice machine wasn't cleaned properly and my Sprite tasted like grease. It no longer tastes like grease. It was cool refreshing Sprite today. Refused a cancer patients Sr. To use restroom to pee and the Berger cold cheese not melted it was a bad experience all the way around think they don't like white people so we went to taco bell and they helped my wife thank you taco bell for helping SR. I've been coming to this place since I was a little girl, as long as I can remember. Maybe since I started to go to the elementary school down the street. Now, at 25 yrs old still here. This place has not changed one bit! Which is great for me. It's the same cook for years!!!! Maybe that is why the food taste the same as if it was the 90's. Oh memories! The cheeseburger special!!!!! is the only thing on the menu I get. Lie! I cheated on my cheeseburger once with a pastrami, on sourdough bread with swiss cheese. I must say it was pretty delish! The double cheeseburger is awesome, but what really intrigued me was the pastrami burrito. Two food cultures have never collided together with such brilliance. Absolutely delicious! The cute little lady who always seems to work when I go in, is very cheerful and friendly. Brolly Hut serves exactly the kind of food you want to eat when you're stuck at work and starving. Luckily for me, they are only a few blocks from where I work. Personally, I like breakfast more than lunch, and they serve breakfast until 11! I like the bacon and cheese omelette which comes with hash browns and toast. My co-workers love their breakfast burritos. As for lunch the burgers and salads are fine. They really shine with the onion rings and fried zucchini though. Also, carne asada fries and chili fries. I used to love Brolly Hut. BUT not anymore. The ladies that work there are nice and they usually get you in and out pretty QUick. There is a white haired man that is there, I don't know if he is an owner or not but he tried to tell me that the greasy soggy French fries that they gave me were fresh. As many fries as I eat, I KNOW THE DIFFERENCE. they may be fresh but they were recooked. I have had this problem before and usually they just cook some more for me.
