Bplate is, in my opinion, one of the best places to eat at the UCLA campus. It is healthy and is super clean. This definitely makes it feel like UCLA has the number 1 food in the United States. There is a rotating menu that constantly changes throughout the week. Just like other buffet dining halls it is all you can eat. You seat yourself and you get your food from staff who creates premade plates. You are in charge of putting away your plates and utensils that you eat here.

Stopped by on Thursday, 11/30/23. It's been a very long time since I dined in here - the #1 dining hall in the nation (GO BRUINS!). I would always eat here during my undergraduate year days and would have extra swipes (so I would swipe my sister and parents who also love this place). This is an all-you-can-eat dining hall and is considered healthy yet delicious. Stopped by during lunch time which wasn't too crowded however there was a line outside. It definitely gets busier during dinner time. We also ate the tart soft serve and am glad this dessert still exists! 5/5 and a clean, bright ambience. There are also restrooms inside which is a huge perk.

Just keep in mind I am totally biased on this one. I love this place with everything I have I'm not even joking. I come here almost every single day for lunch and I stay from open until closing. A lot of my friends make fun of me for how much I am there. I even earned the name "the bplate goblin". Anyway. This place is a 100000000000000000 / 10. They have so many great tasting healthy options. I especially love their flat bread selections. For dessert, they have dessert breads. I highly recommend the Coconut Pineapple Bread or the Olive Oil Mocha bread They also occasionally have food themed days that are really amazing but it gets super busy on those days. I went to a strawberry themed dinner there last year and it was delicious-- everything had at least a hint of strawberry flavor (even the chicken tacos!). And apparently there was an avocado themed day but somehow I missed that (so sad I love avocado). I also just love the coffee here. I know it's mass-produced machine coffee but I just love it. There's a great ambiance here which is why I stay for so ling everyday. They have a lot of comfortable seating. The people who work here are also really kind! Shout out to the man at the flat bread station and the sweet lady who checks everyone in. I'm so sad I'm moving out of the dorms and won't be able to come here :( Future UCLA students- take advantage of Bplate. It's amazing

We were recommended to eat at Bruin Plate if we wanted a healthy lunch while we were visiting the UCLA campus. It's definitely different than Griffin/Sunset/Covel Commons. It's hard to tell from the outside but it's quite large after we entered. Lots of places to sit and natural lighting everywhere. There are at least 5 different stations available for lunch. Some of the stations open and close based on when you get out of your seat to look for more to eat. It is true, the food is quite healthy. Even the chocolate has zucchini on the inside. It's not the typical pizza, spaghetti, pasta, burger, or generic lunch. It's also not a Vegas buffet. It's quite unique. My favorite was the beef and barley soup. That was outstanding. Would I come back? Yes, but I would go for a dinner experience when all the stations are open. That would definitely be a fun experience.

I used to go to bplate everyday for breakfast and dinner. Came back for lunch to reminisce one more time. They had tofu with quinoa, flatbread, roasted potatoes, grilled chicken, vegan chocolate milk (with lots of grams of protein), fresh strawberries, vegan chocolate brownies, and tart fro-yo to name a few of the offerings. Bplate is always consistent with their food. The bonus is that it's healthy and tasty. Must try if you come to UCLA. One of my favorite dining halls.

This is the best place to eat on UCLA campus and the only place I would consider eating every single day if you value your health and wellness

BRUIN PLATE - UCLA 100/10 -- Review: hands down this is the best dining hall at UCLA. this beautiful, precious, magnificent, delightful, pretty, dominant, wonderful, attractive, handsome, pleasing BUFFET is just a gift from this earth. like where can u get 12 ginormous chicken breasts with rice??? also the greek yogurt here is just insanely delicious cuz u put mango, blueberry, and cereal on top this place is like easy gains too, u get mad protein. who needs protein powder, protein shakes, bars, or whatever. one dining hall trip here i average about like 200g of protein per meal. like the first time i came here i just knew this is what life is about. i get to eat this everyday of the week at school!!!!!!!!!!!! hurray!!!!!!!!!!! woooooooooooo!!!!!! Dab! THANK YOU UCLA

This dining hall is pretty amazing. It really does help UCLA live up to its reputation of having the best campus food in America. Came here during Bruin Day, and although there were a ton of people, I was still able to get in within 10 minutes of waiting in line as it moved relatively quickly. The dining hall is laid out like a buffet with different stations including a make your own scramble station! The chefs plated each food separately and all the ones I was able to eat were delicious. Especially liked their flatbread healthy pizzas as they had both a meat and vegetarian option. Also there is a wide variety of fruit that is not often seen at college campuses. Another good thing is that the food is often served in smaller quantities so you can try many different dishes. My one complaint is that you do need to put your larger items in lockers outside the dining hall. This can be problematic at times because not all lockers work and it's not terribly easy to figure it out. Also, the signal here is not so good. Otherwise very amazing campus food that could be served in a restaurant!

B plate is life. 'Nuff said. This is a dining hall on the UCLA campus, but the quality is better than so many other restaurants I've been too. It is health oriented - no sodas, salt on the tables, no ice cream (just froyo with healthy toppings and I added cereal).

First time at Bplate today and was amazed at the variety of food they have there. Most of the plates are surprisingly very small portioned and weren't really filling so multiple rounds of food were necessary. My friends and I went around 7pm on a Saturday and the lines were quite long. They were initially stricting on you adhering to the one serving for each time you lined up but towards the end of the night, they didn't really care since the lines died down. As for the food, it exceeded my expectations as my standards for dining hall food is quite low after eating low quality dining hall food at my alma mater. The food tasted light and healthy so if I'm a student, I would enjoy that since I probably would be eating here quite often. Overall, my impression of UCLA dining hall food has been exceeded due to Bplate. Highly recommended.

Absolutely fav cafeteria in UCLA! Food are healthy, tasty and also looks very appetizing. They have three entree sections, a bread/dessert section, a yogurt bar and a fruit section. Menu changes daily and they offer vegetarian & vegan options. In their bread section, they have freshly made all sorts of nut butter, which is my fav part. Perfect for people of different fitness goals.

Lamb Chops were amazing! Portabella Mushrooms were yummy. Lentil Curry was good.

Usually we are invited by others so it was our first time experience by ourselves. The inside was full so we sat outside, luckily the sun wasn't really bright and full, otherwise it would've been too hot to be outside. We got a table for 6 because there were 5 of us. We ordered water but also an orange juice, they had house made sodas but we thought hydrating with water on a hot day is better. We got an appetizer to share, white bean dip, with oregano flatbread. It was delicious, it reminded me of a thick bean soup and it had beets, orange slices, and walnuts. I ordered the chicken piccata, the others ordered lamb pita and a burger. If you want to replace a different protein for a dish like salad or pasta, there's a fee which they said follows the add options not replacement options. The chicken piccata came with risotto, I usually don't order risotto on its own so happy to have it as a side, it was a bit hard and a few bites were chalky, but the rest were good. Loved the broccolini with capers, and left the lemon alone. Chicken was tender but also very small, but still deliciously flavored. Very attentive staff, wonderful ambiance with a nice breeze and nature surrounding our table. I think it's a very relaxing break from the other places we could've chosen in Westwood. The place is also does not charge for gratuity which is surprising with the great service included. May try to come back to treat a great coworker or come as a team!

I didn't know you were able to have your salmon cooked medium rare or well (like a normal steak), so when I was asked that I was taken back. I believed I chose on having it cooked medium. The whole dish -- flaky salmon, creamy cauliflower smash, well seasoned greens -- was an experience from start to finish. I haven't had a salmon dish that delicious in AGES!! Someone in the kitchen got down that day, so hats off to the chef! My fam was satisfied & they enjoyed their dishes as well. Unfortunately there was a mishap where some appetizers weren't brought out but we resolved that. The waiter was attentive & kind (and really handsome lol) I really wish I remembered his name, but he made the experience memorable as well. Our server approached us quickly but we were not ready to order. From this point on, it was like we were invisible. We ordered one appetizer (Guacamole Fresca w/ chips), a burger and the short rib grilled cheese. Our entrees were served ahead of our chips and guacamole when I commented, we were told they were still working on the appetizer. Seems odd that it takes more time to serve chips and guacamole than it does to prepare the entrees. No apology or acknowledgement from any staff members. My beer glass and my son's water glass sat empty for 10 minutes. When we asked for refills, it took nearly another 10 minutes to receive the beverages. Our server NEVER came to check on us. We were NEVER asked how we were doing or if we wanted dessert. When asking for our check, the server had to bypass us twice and then told us that we had to fill out the receipt before the card could be run. The main was a medley of different seafoods (scallops, shrimp, clams, and tilefish) with vegetables (hominy, garlic, avocado, onion, and chile) and a lovely broth that was deconstructed and wonderful.
