We had six adults and two children. However, our table had six napkins and 6 forks. When the food arrived, I got up and asked someone to bring knives and napkins so that people could slice their fish and broccoli. Throughout the meal our table became covered with dirty dishes. Having been a server myself and having known servers who worked at Citywalk, and knowing how busy they get -- I stood up and consolidated the food and stacked the plates myself at the end of the table, but they still weren't removed. The server repeatedly asked if she could clear anything, but then didn't actually take the dishes. Nor did she ask a busser who was at the table next to us to take the neatly stacked plates away. Instead, I had to get up and ask the busser if he could take the plates -- and he quickly scooped up all eight of the neatly stacked plate in less than ten seconds. We also received onion rings as an appetizer that were cold and hard, as though they had been sitting for some time before being served. I understand there was one other appetizer that was ordered and a cup of soup, but if the onion rings are ready and hot, just bring them out. Since it was a child's birthday , I had purchased 3 tiny cakes, each the size of a donut from the hello kitty shop as well as and I brought my own candies for the child's birthday. I told everyone in my party to hang onto their forks and that we'd use the 4 remaining clean appetizer plates to share the cake. Our goal was to have the kid who was falling asleep blow out the candles and get out there ASAP and not overwhelm our server-- who was clearly overwhelmed. All we needed was a way to light the candles. When I asked the server about matches or a lighter , she told us she thinks they have candles in the back but no way to light them. That created a puzzling situation because doesn't someone obviously have to light restaurant candles? Don't the servers typically light the candles when they get close to the table? I can't imagine that only the kitchen has the lighters because the restaurant has plenty of drafts coming from the ceiling and the lit candles would never make it to the table. Would it be possible for the restaurant to have matches or a lighter attached to a giant spoon so the servers don't lose it or accidentally put it in their apron pockets, and take it home? Finally, when we asked for $10 in change from a generous cash tip -- well over 20% -- the server appeared unable to make change or wasn't sure what to do. After asking several times, my friend asked if we should go to the bar to get change. The server simply said," yes." (if I were the one tipping, I would not give over 20% but it was my friend tipping) None of these issues by themselves would have bothered me much, but the combination was quite irritating as the server didn't seem to want to clear the table when I had stacked the plates, nor place the dishes in the busser's empty tub, nor ask the busser to pick up the stack, nor figure out a way to just get us a light for the candles when we were totally willing to use dirty forks and leftover appetizer plates to plate the 3 tiny cakes & cookies. If only she would have been willing to meet us half-way. read more

After a long day at universal studios Hollywood we decided to stop by bubba gump shrimp since it was my first time! When arriving they seated up pretty quickly, and all the host and servers were very polite and tentative and even told us when they were heading to a lunch break lol. I tried the shrimp with crab legs for 39.99 which was worth the price in my opinion. It was so good sauce wasn't too salty or light. My boyfriend tried their coconut fried shrimp which was also pretty tasty!! For the hot day I decided to too my meal off with Jenny's pink lemondade which is served with vodka which was a special treat for me! Came here after a LONG and HOT day at Universal Studios. They closed at 9 - we got there around 8:30 but still saw plenty of parties being sat up until 10 pm. We had no wait, sat us immediately. I ordered the mama's fries shrimp and decided to do onion rings. The shrimp were good, the onion rings were just okay. My daughter got the kids popcorn shrimp and a sundae for dessert. Serves and staff were nice, but when it came to actually getting my food it took forever to the point to where it was served cold. I understand we took 10 people to sit. But when the manager ask if you want to wait for 45mins for a low table instead of going to the higher table instantly that's ridiculous. At that point I should have gotten the lower table since it was equivalent to waiting for our food to be served. And yes of course they took forever to take our payment... My husband and I got so sick after eating here. There was more fried batter than fish in my fish in chips that had absolutely no taste. The jambalaya was good but a small portion.
