This is a really good place for brunch. The burger was good, corned beef melt on rye was amazing, but the fries really stood out. Staff was nice and quick on a busy morning, very attentive. No wait time. Theres street parking and a parking lot around the corner. Good location near the strip.

10/10 My family and I ate here TWICE during our three day stay. This place has so much charm and the coffee is a must. You cannot order a bad meal from here - I tried a little from everyone's plate and everything was top notch. The French toast is amazing AND the hashbrowns are to die for! The service has been excellent the two times we've been here although it's very busy. You will not be disappointed.

It's a very nice and cozy atmosphere when you walk in. We went for the dinner service and were served very quickly. I ordered the elk tacos which were enormous and covered almost the entire plate. The elk was very good and lean and I definitely got full off of this plate. I also ordered the huckleberry sundae without the chocolate fudge. It was yummy and I definitely had the essence of huckleberry to take home with me for my last meal. Overalls portion sizes were big for what you get. Thanks for having us!

Dale our server was so fun and engaging it just started the entire experience off positive. Seeing all the food fly by made our decision easy - we ordered parm fry's and burgers. The meat in the burger was so tasty and different. It had to be the area because it was flavorful and cooked right. Dale explained different local beers and how they support local farms. We loved the entire meal and experience. When we saw the milkshakes being served with a pile of whip cream we were so tempted but full. I could see why this place is a local favorite. This is a cute space too. Don't miss out on this experience.

This place was busy, busy and righteously so. The food was delicious and portions equivalent to the cost all in all it was fabulous. I think this has to be the best breakfast restaurant in whitefish. We tried the chicken fried steak and the steak omelette. They were absolutely delicious. Both plates were cleared. The hashbrowns that they served with them were so tasty and flavorful and were definitely not just an afterthought, They were part of the dish and super delicious.. . The eggs perfectly cooked The service was also great. Highly recommend this place.

Cute little Cafe with some local character. Food was delish! Perfect for brekky, lunch or dinner. Ive only been here twice and had breakfast once and dinner once. Was able to get in right away during weekday for breakfast but had to wait around 20 min to be seated for dinner. The town is quaint and serene so the wait was worth it and it was nice outside to wait.

Visiting town for a half marathon and worked up an appetite! We actually stopped by a different restaurant who was closing and suggested Buffalo Cafe. There was a short wait, about 5 min for a two top. They had a large variety of breakfast, lunch and dinner items- breakfast served until 2. We both ordered breakfast, it was quick, fresh & tasty! We ordered two versions of the "Buffalo pie" (a hash brown specialty) which came with your choice of toast, a side of biscuits w/gravy and a side of french toast. I personally would have liked the hash browns more well done, but I also didn't ask for them that way. Service was excellent, we had a couple people check on us and offer coffee/tea refills which we really appreciated. Great experience!

This is a cute lunch spot in downtown Whitefish! We stopped here for a quick bite after a trip to the bookstore, next door. We shared a juicy jalapeño burger, the light, fluffy bun is made in house ; loved the diced charred jalapeños on top the charred, juicy burger. The strawberry banana shake was delicious, it was a pleasant surprise to taste the fresh fruit with the creamy ice cream , compared to the fake syrups you typically see. I think we walked in at the end of their lunch service, but they were awesome and didn't rush us!

If you ever find yourself up on the popular 3rd street in whitefish, this is definitely the place to be. Portions were immense, packed with flavor and the burger I got tasted amazing, looked great as you can tell from the picture and to top it all off the huckleberry shake made this place so much more worthwhile. Give it a try, the staff is friendly and inviting to tourists and locals alike, it feels like a cozy American restaurant. Love it

My party of 6 is a very picky bunch! The 2 children are very particular about what they like, so we pick options around them. That being said, this was an amazing choice! The food was fantastic! The burgers were delicious. Our server was very nice and constantly checked up on us. The restaurant was very cozy and clean. Overall this was an amazing experience! Would definitely come again!

Worth the wait. Great food! My family loved this place enough, to go twice during our vacation. I'm pretty sure everything is good here. I had the chicken tacos both times and was hoping to make it a third. For a side, I got a salad with their creamy balsamic dressing and it was fantastic! Eggs Benedict was great, either with bacon and avocado or the ham. My daughter also enjoyed the salmon. My son liked his Reuben sandwich, but he especially loved his Buffalo chicken sandwich! Tomato soup was good too. Our only regret was never trying their pancakes! My family unanimously agree that we would eat there everyday! Half of us would just have breakfast there. Great ambiance and service but food was "meh". Got a buffalo pie and asked for eggs over easy got two hard boiled eggs and soggy hash browns. Glad I attempted it but I couldn't eat my meal and wouldn't go back. On the flip side my husband got the burrito and was in heaven. Choose your meal wisely. read more

Sadly, not like it used to be even a couple of yrs ago. Stopped in around 11:30 for a late breakfast. Ordered the Ketchum pie. No longer comes in a skillet. Now on a smallish plate, undercooked, slimy hashbrowns mixed with sour cream (to disguise the undercooking maybe). Topped with a couple of eggs which were fine, cheese on top of those. I finally found the single slice of bacon buried in the slime. Pair this with the intolerable DIN of people howling, laughing, almost yelling at each other throughout the room. I had to yell for my dining partner to hear me. We have been coming here for at least 10 yrs, with an absence due to Covid. It was always a pleasant delicious experience. Not sure what happened here. So disappointing, will not be returning. read more

Great place for breakfast. I had breakfast with my sister there I had the avocado toast and she had The French toast. Everything was delicious. It was delivered piping hot, and her service was excellent. Oh by the way, really good coffee and they keep it coming. And, I feel the prices are about right. The place was packed and I think that's always a good sign as well. I will go back next time I'm in whitefish. You should give it a try read more

Charming little place with great food and service. Recently went there for a meeting and our brunch lasted a couple hours. Our server was super patient and handled every odd request with a positive attitude and a smile (under her mask). Food was delicious - I had Nicole's way French toast and it was out of this world. My husband had the gyro and he truly enjoyed. Wish I tried some of his fries as they looked scrumptious but was way to involved with my French toast. Highly recommend you stop by next time you are in town! read more

Read so many great things. They are All True!!! Amazing breakfast. Im so glad our family enjoyed this special old school staple spot in beautiful Whitefish. Service was grand! Let me start by saying be prepared for a long wait. But...it was worth it! I had the French toast with eggs and sausage links. Eggs were local and meat was locally processed. I had a mimosa that hit the spot. They give you the juice separate so you can add as much as you'd like. Our server was friendly and efficient. Kinda loud ambiance with music playing and a full restaurant. Not the place to go for a quiet meal. Beautiful art throughout the place. read more

We stayed in Whitefish while visiting Glacier Natl Park. Friends who used to live in Whitefish recommended Buffalo Cafe for breakfast. I am a breakfast fanatic and it was great! Very friendly and efficient staff, cute decor, located in the downtown shopping area. Food was exceptional and we came back 2 days later. Both times we visited were weekdays and they were busy. Small inside waiting area and benches outside. They took a cell number and paged us when table was ready. We strolled around and window shopped until table was ready. Our longest wait was 20 minutes but I'm sure that would change on day/time you visit. read more

Service was great, but the hamburger I ordered, Royale with cheese, fell below my expectation because the meat was overcooked. I forgot to ask for it medium rare since the waitress didn't ask me how I wanted it cooked. While the bun was fresh, it tasted like a potato bun which I find dry and not complimentary to hamburgers. I prefer brioche bums or pretzel rolls. All hamburgers come with fries, coleslaw, salad, or cottage cheese. I got the salad and loved it. It consisted of lettuce, raw mushrooms and broccoli, red cabbage, and tomatoes. They have kids menu and my son loved the cinnamon French toast with 2 slices of bacon. read more

The Buffalo Cafe is probably my favorite place for breakfast! I know that anything I order would be delicious!! Alex, the owner, remembered my name after not being there for 2 years! He, like all the staff, always greet you with a smile! My favorite is the Huevos Rancheros served with a steak knife and a fork!! It IS a meal !! All the breakfasts are! They have great lunch too, including old fashioned milk shakes! The machine is upfront, just like at the old ice cream parlors! If you're ever in Whitefish, tell Alex that Teddy sent you ! Absolutely delicious and fresh breakfast and they use local food. Will 100% be going back. Only negative things I saw in previous reviews were about the wait time, we did have a 20-25min wait but I planned for that and I thought the wait time was completely reasonable. Pricing is good too for such a large plate of food. read more

My husband and I came here for breakfast on a Friday. We only waited about 5 minutes. The staff is so friendly it was very nice to experience in the morning. It's a nice casual family feel restaurant. I got the classic breakfast and my husband got a Buffalo pie. It was so good we forgot to take pictures! It was a classic breakfast but so tasty. We thought about coming back for dinner! I really enjoyed my experience here and recommend it to anyone in town. read more

Good food for a really good price. For a small town this is a good place to eat and probably the best breakfast place in whitefish (though I wouldn't consider it the best in a medium-large city). It's a pretty popular place especially in the sunny summer days so try to get there a bit earlier than you want to eat. read more

I can see why this is a favorite amongst locals and tourists. We came here twice for breakfast on our short trip and both were super delicious with generous portions. The waitress was so so friendly and very accommodating, even found me some Sugar Free syrup! Highly recommend!! read more

Interesting atmosphere. Somewhere between a diner meets sports bar meets steakhouse. Ordered the onion rings which were beer battered and came with a type of spicy ranch like dip and these were fantastic. Best onion rings I've had and the dip goes perfectly with them. Shared the special that day of chicken Alfredo which was good not great. Chicken had a great cook, wasn't too crazy about the Alfredo sauce. Service was great. read more

This was a great place for breakfast! It was very busy when we arrived around 9:30, but we didn't have to wait a long time to be seated. While waiting to be seated and served, we enjoyed looking a the artwork on display and reading about the Whitefish area. For breakfast, I had the Classic Breakfast Combo, while my husband had the Granny's French Toast Combo. Our friends got the Denver omelette with a side of pancakes. Everything was delicious, and we all left full! read more

The star here was the food. We ordered the tacos and fish and chips. The tacos are double walled - crunchy shell inside wrapped in a wheat tortilla. We chose the blackened cod and braised pulled pork. Both were generously portioned and quite flavorful. We also ordered the fish and chips and this was the real surprise. Crunchy seasoned batter and large pieces of cod. No kidding - we had to go 500 miles from Puget Sound to get the best fish and chips this side of Little Chinooks at Fisherman's Terminal! Need to say that the drinks we ample and balanced. We ordered the Huckleberry Mojito and the Bloody and could not have been more pleased! We went into Craggy Range expecting standard pub grub fare and were more than pleased with the results. Want to say the service - our server and the bartender did a great job! We highly recommend Craggy's!

I tried a bite and honestly have no idea what flavor I was tasting... maybe really bad game, besides the unrecognizable flavor, it was dry with little sauce and less meat and no parm topping. Four ordered Chicken Forestiere and would rate it a 5 or 6. My last guy had the filet with extra veggies which ended up being 3 small carrots. Our server was amazing and didn't charge us for the bolognese. This morning I learned that my eldest was up all night with a very bad stomach. I give Buffalo cafe a 5 star rating because they have amazing service very nice waiters. I have been going to Buffalo cafe ever since I was born. Right as I walked in they help us find a seat immediately or tell us that it will be a short wait. When that happens we just sit on the benches they have. All over the building there are paintings everywhere. The last time I went to the Buffalo cafe was a few days ago. Right as I walked in we found a table. The waitress was really nice. She asked if I wanted a drink. I ordered the hot chocolate. She came back and asked us what we wanted. I ordered the salmon. It was delicious. When the food came it looked delicious. I tried it. It was awesome. I highly recommend the salmon. The salmon also came with mashed potatoes and a salad. Everything on my plate was delicious. I could eat a whole other one whenever I go to the Buffalo! Of course the Buffalo is already world famous for their legendary breakfasts and staple local atmosphere feel. But believe it or not the Dinner is where it's at these days. The Stroganoff is so good I might actually kill for it. It's quickly becoming something I eat every time I come back to Whitefish. Great casual atmosphere and a friendly attractive staff to boot. For the price, Dinner at the Buffalo is quickly becoming a Whitefish legend all its own. I've had several occasions when I eat here for Breakfast then come back 8 hours later for dinner. Can't say enough wonderful things about this place. There's always a line for a reason and their excellent managerial staff handles these lines beautifully. The waitresses are on point and everything on the breakfast & dinner menus are Delicious . The State has lifted the mask mandate and they are still requiring them, very disappointing but for some reason NO social distancing. There are other places close by that don't require mask but at least social distance. I got the McCabes combo. The eggs were under cooked and pancakes were gooy, the wait was ridiculous.
