    Sauteed Garlic Shrimp

Went here with friends for lunch. This restaurant is aesthetically pleasing. The staff were pleasant and the food was good. Our waiter was very attentive. Unfortunately, I can't recall his name. We got a little of everything because why not. If I had to choose a favorite, I would say it was the shrimp. The calamari could have been crispier and seasoned, but it was good nonetheless.

The paella here is incredible. It's flavorful and prepared with the most authentic ingredients. The artichokes and potatoes were only okay, but I'll return just for that paella!

Stopped by during happy hour (4-7 pm on weekdays) and had a great time. We sat on the pet-friendly patio, which made for a really nice atmosphere. The ceviche was incredible and reminded us of the amazing ceviche we had in Miami. We also ordered the steak paella , and the meat and rice were cooked perfectly and super juicy. Just note it takes a little longer to prepare, but it's worth the wait. Service and ambiance were top notch. We'll definitely be back.

Great food and drinks! Cocktails on happy hour until 7pm which is excellent. Definitely got busy inside after 6pm. The garlic shrimp and meatballs were very tasty with the bread. Had the octopus too which could have been charred a bit more. The lavender margarita was refreshing and delicious. Service was quick and my water glass was always full. They have a vibrant bar, patio area and indoor seating so plenty of options.

Bulla Gastrobar ~ What We Ordered ~ - Grilled Octopus ($22) - Patatas Bravas ($10.50) - Sautéed Garlic Shrimp ($15) - Ham Croquettes ($11) - Crispy Calamari ($15) - Seafood Paella ($48) ~ Review ~ Bulla Gastrobar is a Spanish restaurant located at Legacy West in Plano, offering a wide variety of tapas - small, shareable dishes that are the traditional way food is served in Spain. After falling in love with Spanish cuisine on my trip to Spain, I was on the hunt for a spot here that could compare to the authentic flavors I experienced abroad. Bulla definitely delivered. I was able to order many of the same dishes I had in Spain, and they did an amazing job capturing those authentic flavors. My favorite dishes were the grilled octopus and the patatas bravas. The octopus was incredibly flavorful, and the mashed potatoes underneath paired with it perfectly. Patatas bravas is always a must for me - I love the aioli on top. The paella is a large portion, so I'd recommend ordering it if you're dining with a group. The ham croquettes were also delicious and crispy! The shrimp was good, but not a standout in my opinion. I especially enjoyed the sauces served with the calamari - they complemented the dish really well. Overall, I highly recommend checking this spot out if you're craving authentic Spanish tapas in Plano! ~ Rating: 9/10 ~

Great place for Spanish tapas! I went on a Monday afternoon around 2pm so it was not crowded and sat in their cute patio. The food was delicious. They have a lunch special - Pick two courses for $17 which was such a great deal. Must try!

The BEST Spanish food that I've had in Texas. I recently went to Spain and the tapas here were just as good! We made a dinner reservation and were promptly seated. The atmosphere is great and lively with a dressy casual vibe, perfect for date night! The patatas bravas and jamon serrano were delicious and filled with flavor. We ordered the seafood paella which had a good variety of mixed seafood. There were 2 of us and the paella could've fed at least 4; the leftovers tasted just as good! The churros with chocolate sauce & dulce de leche were so light and airy, I could've easily eaten 10 of them by myself. Definitely some of the best churros I've had! Drinks were also great per our server's recommendations. Overall amazing experience and would love to come back!

Was expecting more but it was a good deal for the lunch special and a healthy lunch. The salmon carpaccio was ok but probably wouldn't get it again. The paella bowl was good, but wish the rice was better. Chicken had good flavor but a few pieces were a little dry.

Amazing tapas! My boyfriend and I popped in for a last-minute date night, and even though the place was bustling, the service was on point. Drinks: I ordered the Lavender Margarita while he went for the Lemongrass Collins--both were delicious, refreshing, and a little stronger than they looked (not a bad thing!). Tapas highlights: The Huevos Bulla, ceviche de jalapeño, and montaditos were standouts--flavorful, well-balanced, and perfect for sharing. I particularly surprised about the montaditos. I don't usually like sweet beef, but the sauce or jelly worked really well! I tried the arroz caldoso. It came out piping hot and fresh, which I appreciated, though it was too salty for my taste. I brought the rest home, but fair warning--it doesn't reheat as well. We ordered the churros for dessert and they really hit the spot. Overall, this spot nails the drinks and tapas, and I'd come back in a heartbeat just for those!

Came to Texas for my birthday weekend, and decided to try this place out for dinner in Legacy West. Our friends and I were not disappointed -- everything tasted amazing, fresh, and the service was exceptional -- with our water filled frequently. We probably overstayed our reservation, but we weren't told to leave. Thank you BG for a great evening!

Came for lunch with a friend. The service was quick and the food was good. I did the pick 2 and ordered the lentil soup and pork bowl. Both were good. I almost wanted a sauce option for the bowl but it was still good without it.

Oh, My Stars! Where do I begin?!?!? This place was amazing. Out server, Jasmine, was welcoming, on point and gave us some recommendations on her favorites (we asked). This has a sheik feel with a casual vibe but make no mistake, the food is top notch. I have been to Spain and this fabulous little find brings those wonderful natural flavors to the great state of Texas. We stuck with drinks and the Tapas on this go around and it was more than enough for 2. If you want to share tapas only, you can order like we did and have enough for 4 people, to be honest. We started with the Spanish Torilla which was perfectly cooked with potatoes and onions and served on a wooden board. It just took me back to Madrid. We also had the shrimp in garlic sauce, the steak chimichurri, the the figs wrapped in bacon stuffed with manchego (you heard me right, stuffed with manchego), the croquettes made with a beautiful bechamel, and fried artichokes (these we our least favorite ad the only thing I wouldn't recommend b/c they were a bit soggy). So, I could go into each one of these but all I have to say is flavor-town! All of these dishes were made authentically and just as stunning as they were delicious. Because it was my friend's birthday, we did opt for two Bon Bon cafe's and the Churros with chocolate and caramel sauces on the side. Just amazing. To my surprise, there is a Bulla Gastrobar here in South Florida in downtown Miami. We will definitely be going to try it out because if it's anything like the one in Texas, we are going to have one heck of a meal! Can't wait to try the octopus! Thank you for a wonderful evening, Bulla!

Bravo! This place understands! We ate a late lunch here and because we were getting dinner at the comedy club later, decided to keep to a few small dishes. The food was amazing and the staff on par with it! Because we had ordered tapas, our wait staff, Michelle, was very attentive to stagger our dishes. The Paella Mixta was the star of the show. Definitely a place I will be craving to return.

Priscilla was an attentive and kind server who really went above and beyond for us! As we walked up, we really liked the cute patio vibe with cute flowers and a pergola with a lot of fans, even in the scorching Texas summer. We opted to sit inside and it's a cozy setting with a nice looking bar. We came in close to opening and it wasn't too busy but it definitely picked up as we were wrapping just to show how popular this place is on a Saturday. Priscilla greeted us and walked us through the menu and we started with some great coffee. I had the breakfast pot pie and we also had the French toast and eggs benedict. Everything was pretty flavorful and the breakfast pot pie was so heartwarming and tasty. I would have preferred a little more seasoning or spices for some extra flavor, but that's my preference. My parents were pretty satisfied with their dishes. Maybe just a little more refinement to make it 5 star worthy. Overall, we were impressed with our experience and will be back again to try their dinner options that looked really good!

Music was loud enough to where I could hear my husband across the table but not anyone else around me. We could still hear the comforting sound of the fountain and fans that blew a cooling mist too! We ordered the pretzel bites as an appetizer and it came out in literally 60 seconds. Bread didn't taste like pretzels, but it was tasty and the sauces yummy. Like, I could order the bites and some beers and be perfectly content. But I was here for the fish n chips and I was so happy! I'd have preferred a full filet of fish, but the batter was so crispy and salty (I love salt!). Fries were okay and basic but not bad with malt vinegar (I can literally drink that stuff!). Husband got the elite brisket flatbread. It was huge and honestly we'll probably just split this next time we come. It was delicious and back of the throat spicy, but the toppings were outstanding and brisket was tender!! Service was soooo quick and easy and the waitress has the decency to look away as you tip. We ordered the Boss Hog flatbread, chips and queso, and two margaritas the Skinny Bear on the rocks and the Caddy frozen margarita. We definitely enjoyed the happy hour discounts, which made the visit even better. We started with our drinks, and both margaritas were mixed very well. The Skinny Bear did seem a little stronger, but both had great flavor and were easy to enjoy. For appetizers, we ordered the chips and queso. The chips were thin, crispy, and had a nice dash of seasoning on them, but we do wish they had been served hot. The queso was warm, but not piping hot, and the texture was a little gritty, almost powder-like. We were expecting a creamier cheese, so it was good, but not our favorite part of the meal. Now, the star of the show was definitely the Boss Hog flatbread. It was cooked to perfection, baked really well, and had that nice crispy texture. The toppings were generous, and every bite had great flavor. I would absolutely order it again. The ambiance was also amazing. We loved being able to see the brewery, and the dim lighting set a cool, relaxed tone. The employees were nice, friendly, and welcoming, which added to the overall experience. I would definitely come back to try more menu items, and I recommend Union Bear for a cute date night, happy hour, or a laid back evening with good drinks and food.
