Yum yum yum, I've been on the search for Korean style wings since I came back from Chicago where I first discovered these gems. I ordered the umami soy and the sweet & spicy wings. I had forgotten if I was suppose to get the wings or the whole style chicken, I discovered that it's the whole chicken I am suppose to order, sadly in the photo it's just the wings I ordered. But no tears here, it was a very enjoyable meal, the wings are very light and fluffy feel when fried. The flavor I prefer though is the soy, add that with a side of rice and you'll be happy. This is our first time trying this place. We ordered 12 chicken wings, 1 chicken sandwich and 1 fried chicken gizzards to go. We also asked to pack us extra salad and they did. The lady who answered the phone sounded very friendly. We appreciate all that; however, we are somewhat disappointed at the place. 1. We phoned in about 20mins before we went in. employee said it will be ready in 20, but it wasn't ready. 2. I wish the chicken was more crispy inside the chicken sandwich. Not sure if that's a take out issue or ? Also I'm not very much a buttermilk sauce person, but I respect how they made it, just wish they have options for dressing/sauce. 3. Had the umami soy and sweet and spicy wings. Both were great. The meat was juicy and the skin crispy. The wings were perfectly sauced too, not too much, not too little. The sweet and spicy was not spicy at all and is not the traditional korean style. We also got corn cheese and fries. The fries were crispy, but I thought they might have been fried in the same oil as the chicken. The corn cheese was good too. Major cheese pulls and it wasn't greasy like some places. My friend got the crispy chicken bap (fried chicken bowl). If you're not into getting chip pieces (like tortilla chips) with your rice bowl you should tell them in advance. She subbed the rice with Kimchi fried rice. In my opinion, the Kimchi fried rice was a bit too wet and sweet, but overall my friend really enjoyed her dish. Been wanting to try out this Korean gastropub and finally we were able to drop by yesterday evening. The place was almost full but good thing there were still a few tables left for our group. We were seated right away. The staff were helpful. We ordered their fried wings, in 3 flavors (hot and crispy, umami soy and garlic parmesan), corn cheese, topokki, spicy shrimp, spicy chicken n Fries. They gave us cabbage salad with a slightly spicy and sweet dressing and some pickled radish on the house. I loved the dressing, it was really good. The pickled radish was perfectly seasoned. The topokki was okay. We added melted cheese on top. You really need to eat it immediately because the cheese hardens fast. The spicy shrimp was served with cilantro butter lime rice and fries. It was just okay for me. The flavor on the rice was too mild for me and the shrimp was too sweet for my taste. We didn't like the spicy chicken N fries. The fries were okay but the chicken tasted off, kinda gamey. I took a bite and I had to spit it out. I'm not the only one who noticed the taste. The umami wings were just ok. You can definitely smell and taste the soy sauce. We didn't like the parmesan chicken wings. I don't know if it was supposed to be like that but we were expecting even a little crunch on the skin underneath the dressing. However, they were so soggy and it was not so appealing on the palate. We really liked the hot and crispy wings. It was so crunch and the flavor was good. The cheese corn was just okay for me. My niece seemed to enjoy it though. Overall, it was a pretty good evening. Second call I was put on hold for 10 minutes 20 seconds then I heard the sound of someone picking up the phone and was hung up on again. Third call no answer and the final call someone picked up the phone and asked me what I wanted I told them and they hung up on me as well. The chicken is really good here, probably the best in Cerritos right now for Korean fried chicken. Only thing is it takes a really long time, I mean i'm not complaining because they are using fresh chicken instead of frozen. Their spicy chicken sandwich is also pretty fire. As in super yummy and huge proportion wise. :) Tried a couple of their other menu options like beef bibimbap, B21 fries, and toppoki. Which were all so-so in comparison to their wings and fried chicken sandwich. Can't go wrong with Umami soy, Garlic parmesan, and Sweet & spicy wing flavors.
