I bought a number 2 large cheese burger combo. I brought it to my work and ate about half of the burger. And soon as I took a another bite, I chew something hard. I thought it was chicken bone in a cheese burger. But then I took it out. It looked like a plastic at first. Then... I looked closely and found out that it was someone's finger nail. I spited it out and try to vomit it all. I couldn't vomit it everything that I ate, it was too late. I hope I don't get COVID or sick. I was so panicked that I threw away the evidence. When you order something, confirm it's available. I ordered a Swiss cheese whopper jr and got a whopper jr with no cheese. Most franchises would tell you they're out of a particular cheeses. I work down the street and this is my go to at least once a week for lunch. I've been eating here for the last few years - thru the pandemic too. Most times I drive thru and eat at the office, but if the drive thru is too busy, I'll go inside and eat. Okay, this is Burger King, so why five stars? Let me start with my history with BK. When I was in high school, I worked at a BK. I vowed to only eat their chicken sandwich after seeing how they cooked the food. I'm not going to go into the stories, but I'm surprised that more people haven't complained. Fast forward to today and yes, I'm eating BK food. How is the food? Just like any other BK. Mediocre at best with some greasiness. So why not two or three stars? It's the people! At the drive thru, I'm greeted by name. They've actually wiped my soda cup before handing it to me if some spilled out. A nice warm smile and a thank you! I'm handed the bag - it's not just dumped on me. When I eat inside, they actually bring my meal to the table. And there's a super nice young man who cleans the tables after someone has eaten - wow, what a nice thing with Covid still around. So, the staff is so good that a mediocre fast food restaurant is now a five star, highly recommended place to eat. Just goes to show the power of treating people like humans and letting your customer know you appreciate them! Five stars all the way! read more

Has anyone every been to a fast food place where the food actually looks like what they advertise? Me either. They keep showing the new tacos on the television so I wanted to try it because they hype it so much. I only wanted one to try so I ordered one of the original chicken sandwiches with tomatoes. I like that. Not too keen on their fries but they come with the combo. Now for the taco. It definitely didn't look like the one on the commercial. The commercial one looked crispy, with nice meat filling, shredded cheese, and shredded lettuce. Well the meat did not look like meat but it did have flavor. The shell was oily. Good service is important whether you're at Flemings, Kabuki or Burger King. This Burger King on S. Fair Oaks Ave. has excellent excellent customer service. I have gone there a few times and always everyone has been so pleasant and efficient. And today they exceeded my expectations. I had ordered online through the Burger King app but my order went to the wrong location. I tried to correct it online online but was unable and I tried to call the location and Alhambra to cancel my order which was also unsuccessful. So I went to this location on Fair Oaks and explained my problem and they filled my order even though they said they would not get paid for my order even though I had already paid for it to the other location. This burger King is a franchise so they lost money by doing this out of the ordinary exceptional customer service. When a place fills an order that was not sent to them and they don't get paid for, that is exceptional and worthy of five stars. Plus to be honest I always find their food hot and tasty and precisely what I order. I highly recommend this Burger King location. read more

This is my favorite Burger King especially with the pandemic happening. The staff is always consistently friendly and fast DT. They seem to always take lead with enforcing new covid protocols to support the safety of staff and customers. I appreciate how their management puts effort into creating contactless pickups in the DT. I feel that this shows that the management team cares for the safety of their staff and does their best as well. The team is always so sweet although I imagine they must be overworked from how busy this place has gotten especially with the pandemic. This is a reliable BK in my opinion and I appreciate all the hard work that the employees here put in, and the sacrifices essential workers and their families make. I hope corporate will do what they can to continue showing employees how valuable they are. read more

This particular Burger King is very ghetto. You would think it would not be considering: 1. It is in Pasadena and 2. It is right across from the newly renovated Huntington Hospital. I used the restroom at this place. Let's say I saw something that probably I didn't want to see. You have to get a key for them to use the restroom. The restroom was filthy. Then, after my horrible restroom experience, I placed my order. What I found interesting was their 2 tacos. Jack in the Box's tacos are way better and less expensive than here. I also ordered a Jr. Whopper. Let's just say I won't be coming back to this location. The restaurant in general was dirty and full of graffiti etchings on the tables. As Jerry Seinfeld so wisely observed, all things equal out. I was lying in bed watching the Olympics. Felt like I should get off my butt and work out, so got myself into the gym. But then on my way home from my workout, I decided what better time to start my burger challenge. See, it all equals out. So, I've only been to BK about 4? times in my life. But I'm just so curious why BK and McD still do soooo much business when I always think of their meat as thin grayish patties. So, decided that they would be included in my burger challenge. I will say off the bat, that for $6.51 I am INCREDIBLY full. Too full, actually. Then again, I did not need to order the Whopper Meal Deal, but felt like I should order something classic for the challenge, rather than their smallest burger. Also, many of you may know (I didn't) that it is actually cheaper to order MORE food--yeah, that's the way the meal deals work. No wonder we are all joining gyms. I got the Whopper with cheese, which I think comes with a small fry (pretty big though), and a drink--I opted for OJ. Seriously, this meal could feed me for the whole day and I think, if I remember correctly, it had close to a whole day's calories. I couldn't finish the fries. Although I understand, that for the money and the quantity, this is a good deal, I still can't give the whole experience more than two stars. Not because it wasn't decent tasting (and the staff at the window were excellent), but because for me eating animals is serious and if it's not delicious, I don't need to sacrifice a life nor narrow my arteries. The burger was brownish and very thin. Forget ordering medium rare here. There's no inside to be rare. The meat itself was dry, but the full burger wasn't, due to the condiments, lettuce, and tomato. Decent veggies, although I think In n Out's are more vibrant (typically meaning higher quality and more vitamins). I was actually looking forward to some thin, salty, very fried, crispy fries, but they are larger and more potato-y now. Maybe healthier? But I miss the ones I had there....13 years ago? Obviously, they shouldn't care at all what I think since I'm clearly not their customer base. In the end...this is probably my last BK burger, unless I'm stranded and starving...so let's hope it is. read more

I ordered an Oreo milkshake. I pulled up to the window and was handed an Oreo cheesecake. That wasn't the problem. The problem I have is that when I said (and I swear I said this gently) to the staff member at the window that I thought I ordered an Oreo shake, she gave me an attitude and said, "no, you said cheesecake." Shit, don't you think I know what I said?!? I'm mad she didn't even try to address it. I really wanted a shake. I hate cheesecake. I took it and left because I was so mad. I didn't think this would have been complicated to address. I have been to this particular BK several times and each time was slightly different service. Perhaps the shifts differ widely. At morning service, a very rude lady took my order and food was extremely slow to come out. Seemed understaffed. On a different occasion, closer to noon, I was served by a lady who was quick, helpful and friendly. Each time the food came out pretty much the same. This BK has a refrigerator inside the customer ordering area, which is weird. And then you also see more refrigerators outside. Obviously the space was converted, as it's really too small to fit a normal BK. So overall, it feels tight and somewhat sloppy in here and service is inconsistent so can't say its good or bad, just ok. read more

The 4 stars (should be 3 but it's not necessary) is for the man taking transactions at the window tonight. He comes off as the restaurant owner because someone with his attitude would not be hired otherwise. Just went through the drive thru. Was helped by a pleasant happy worker, I think her name was Sierra (?). The line went fast and she worked quickly and efficiently. Fries were hot, food was good. I like this burger King because they have a trashcan in the line so you can pass by and do a mini car clean out. The only negative about this Burger King is trying to leave the drive thru and turn on Fair Oaks. The traffic is heavy a lot of the times and you have to make a hard right to stay in the line- I have a big SUV that makes it a bit awkward. read more

Wowser, I haven't been to Burger King in years and for some reason I chose this one in particular to get a quick meal and it was not pleasant. Its located in a good part of Pasadena but it looks like it belongs somewhere else. There are gates on the windows, the place is tiny, the people who were sitting there look hood and the food sucks.
