I ordered the combo for two! And I have to say they are great portions for a great price considering its quality seafood. They also have variations soju if you're in the mood to drink. If you have any food allergies as well for example one of the people in my party has a shrimp allergy and they accommodated our order for us. The only reason why I rate them 3 stars is because their food is good but the service fluctuates, when getting sat one of the servers let a party cut us after having us at the top of the waiting list. My only gripe is that seafood tends to overcook easily, so it was difficult to finish eating the food before it completely dries out. Hi I'm back. I found this place for the lobster not for the seashells the restaurant inside is cozy but little small so we decided to seat in the patio. Servers are all welcoming and did all the job for us you don't have to cook at all as well as the shells would be like that too! And the live lobster got revealed right in front of you! Came here at around 8 PM on a Tuesday night, This place is so good, and they give you a good amount of food. With 4 people, who are pretty big eaters, we got the Master Set and we were pretty full afterwards. We didn't even order extra sides or anything. They cook all the food for you, and kind of guide you into what to eat. My favorite is that they utilize charcoal with the gas so you get a perfect potato and korean sweetpotato that they put underneath the grill. I love seafood of all kinds but I think this style is the best for me. simple, no need for hella sauce and stuff, just the flavor of the seafood shining through. Love the soup and the noodles at the end as well. If you're squeamish, maybe skip this place bc they do cook the shellfish alive and the abalone I had was moving a LOT. This place used to be called Dae Bu Do. Right after I went they renamed it to Burnin' Shell. This is one of my favorite restaurants that I want to keep coming back to and show all my friends. The cheapest set that feeds 2 people is more than enough food. They don't offer any to-go containers. We couldn't finish it all, but everything was absolutely delicious. I especially loved the cheese scallop the most as well as their cold noodle appetizer with raw fish. The steamed egg has scallops in it as well. This place had quite a wait on a Friday night. Do wear the gloves their provide, the shells are hot. Don't worry about how to cook it, they will do it for you and move them to the side once they are ready to eat. They used to have an open parking lot but now you have to valet. Fortunately I found street parking. Try to come before 7pm on busy nights and you'll probably be seated right away. The entrance is in the back and there is a large private lot with free parking as well as street parking. I haven't had Korean seafood BBQ before so I was very excited to finally try this restaurant! My friends and I ordered the Chief Set and instant noodles to share between the three of us which was more than enough food. The sets starts with ceviche cold noodles, corn cheese, tteokbokki, steamed egg, jeon, and two pieces of shrimp tempura. From the seafood set, we loved the grilled Manila clams, scallops with cheese, and shrimp because they were all so sweet! The buttered squid and marinated octopus were unexpected favorites as well. There are two dipping sauces-- a SEA-inspired seafood sauce (tangy, spicy, and sour) as well as a chojang (gochujang, vinegary) sauce. Both are tasty, but I found the seafood to be so fresh and sweet that I didn't really need them. At the end, kalguksu noodles are served with kimchi and they are soo delicious together. Don't forget about the sweet potato and potato that are cooking in the coals! Overall, this was an incredible seafood bbq experience. I felt that the quality of the seafood was very high and I was very full by the end of the meal. The service is good, they get pretty busy so it can be a little difficult to grab the servers' attention but they cook for you so they're often returning to your table to check on the readiness of the food. read more

I was scared that Daebudo went out of business, but it seems it just had a bit of a rebranding! Ambiance: The interior really is decorated like the inside of a ship! Very fitting, especially considering the fact that you're going to be stuffing yourself with so much seafood. You get to choose between indoor and outdoor seating. We chose indoor, but I slightly regretted that decision because my eyes were stinging quite a bit from all the smoke that wasn't being properly ventilated. But this is expected from barbecue restaurants! Also, be prepared to have your clothes and hair smell like charcoal and grilled seafood for a good couple of hours :) If you frequent KBBQ, you know the drill. They also provide each person one glove so that you can hold the "burning shells" by the hand without hurting yourself. Food: I went with one other person, and the smallest set was PLENTY of food. I am generally not a huge seafood fan and came to give seafood a try. Everything was pretty good! I was able to enjoy all the seafood with the wonderfully refreshing and spicy green sauce they gave on the side. These side dishes were a wonderful touch, especially for someone like me who is still dipping her toes in seafood-- I was able to take breaks by eating something else. Service: The service was really good! I didn't have to lift a finger because the waiters took turns making sure our seafood weren't being overcooked. They gently put cooked items on the side of the grill so that they are ready to eat. There was a piece of seafood I wanted cooked a little bit more, and one of the waiters were nice enough to use his torch to grill it to my liking!
