Great quick burritos! eat here often. Always good. I have tried most of the menu and haven't been disappointed.

Always the best! I get the same thing every time because I'm boring, but the chorizo with ham, eggs, potato is so good that I ate there at least 3-5 times a week for a year straight when I lived down the street. I live in San Tan now, so don't get it as much, but know what I'm having for breakfast tomorrow! The bacon is crispy and the red and green salsa is so flavorful and has the right amount of spice. The tortillas are fresh, chewy and delicious. I have been a loyal customer now for about 5 years. When I first started coming into the Gilbert location they had some wonderful employees that cared and understood how to deal with and take care of the customer. I would go in a couple times a week to grab a chorizo and egg breakfast burrito. So when it comes time to order you give them what you want and then they always come back and ask if I want salsa with that. I do. And I always say please give me 3 red salsas! Now I have no idea why they keep asking this because when they bring out the order they ask again or they just automatically grab 2 and give me the bag. Then I have to look inside, see 2 salsas and have to ask for more. This wouldn't be so bad but it happens every time I go in! And it's the same person everytime that does it! Everytime!!!! This may sound really stupid about this situation but it's been happening ever since the tall blonde young lady took over as the manager (2-3 years) and she is the one who keeps doing it. I've had other people serve me and they get it right! So what gives blondie! Are you just incompetent or do you like making people mad? I've never understood why you would ask when taking the order if someone wants salsa. And then ask again when the order is ready?!?! I think you guys have an outdated process that is really frustrating. I really like your food but I can't take what feels like blondie just being insolent! So I'm either gonna drive further away to the other location, where I've always been treated great and I don't go through this same bs or I'll go someplace else. read more

Their breakfast burritos are delicious, but: Strike 1: You call in to place a pick up order and are often put on hold for several minutes. Strike 2: Prices have risen almost $1 per burrito (close to 20%) in the last year. They've raised prices twice. Strike 3: They have enacted a new policy where you can't place a pickup order for less than three items. I usually order one burrito and I am too busy in the morning to drive to the store and wait 15-20 minutes for my order. I like to call it in and pick it up when I walk in. I don't understand this policy, but it is the last straw. So....three strikes and you're out. Burrito Express has lost my business. I have to say, breakfast burritos aside, that their other menu items are not that great. I've tried the tacos and most of the burritos. There are plenty of other mexican fast food places around the east valley that are much better. read more

Located on the SE corner on Ray and Gilbert road, Brito express is a Tucktaway little gym but continues to please mind and mouth's. Do not judge a book by its cover! There burritos are absolutely delicious, filled to the top with tasty high quality ingredients. Personally I like the carne asada as well as adobado. Oh and did I mention, the burritos are huuuge! It almost reminds me of the pre-2008 Chipotle days, when their burritos were absolutely gargantuan in size. If you got an appetite, Burrito express is the place to go. I love this place so much. It's not your typical Mexican fast food. Everything is always made fresh and super fast. the best thing on the menu is the steak potato and cheese! This placed seemed dingy and dark. Lights in back were off. Felt like they were closing soon and it was noon. Ordered the supreme breakfast burrito. Worst I've ever had. Small in portion, In fact so small it had layers on layers as a result of the tortilla beating out the guts. It also had too much potato. I've always driven by this place so I figured I would give it a try today (I used Ubereats). The wait was extremely quick and so worth it. I got a steak and salsa burrito but made it a combo, the prices are pretty awesome too. It was less than $9 to make it a combo with a drink. That's pretty freaking great to me. The beans are decent, nothing too special and the rice is good as well. The burrito on the other hand, it's so freaking good! The size of the burrito is dairy decent as well. The burrito is extremely flavorful and the veggies in it taste so fresh, especially the cilantro. My combo came with red and green sauce and they both are good, I prefer the green sauce more. I tried both the red and green sauce and found the green salsa to be extremely flavorful and delicious. The manager was working the cash register and I had exceptional service. Uhh AMAZING! I had the shredded beef burrito Supreme and capitol NOM NOM. BEEF was well seasoned and the potatoes were sooo good. It wasn't a sloppy mess but it was moist and delicious. Extremely rude at the counter, blonde haired balding guy. Walked in, I came from 12 miles away to continue to show my patronage. I will NEVER return. Had a sleeping baby and asked if he could bring the order out to the car when it was done. Said "No i cant" as if the 3 people sitting in the place would destroy it or something. I asked if he would if I paid extra. Phone rang and he put the person on hold. I said, "so if I called in and asked for delivery, would you deliver it as far as your parking lot?" They guy said " No we wouldn't" ,and put his finger in my face and said " I'm going to take this order", and picked the phone back up. Two weekends ago, I called in my order of a single breakfast burrito. I called it in at 12:09 pm and the girl that took my order said it'd be ready in about 10-20 minutes. I ended up going into the restaurant to pick up around 12:35 pm. There were a few people there in line to order and pick up their called in orders. When I got up to the cash register to pay, the girl didn't go back to check to see if my order was ready. So I took a seat assuming they are still working on it since it was a little busy in there. I'm watching the cooks and another girl, that seemed to be supposed to be helping up front, in the back just hanging out and talking. I waiting about 25 minutes while people continued to come in and order. And they all got there food before me. A few minutes before 1 pm, I fo up to the counter to ask about my order and the girl goes to the back and gives me my now cold burrito. No apologizes for the wait or miscommunication or the mistake on their part. I emailed their website email and got an auto reply to email the manager. I emailed the manager and have still not received a call back. read more

The owner was working the cash register when I stopped in for the first time, and was incredibly friendly and welcoming. I got the steak & potato breakfast burrito with cheese. Food: Decent at best Customer service: In order to keep myself from writing a novel, I have decided to keep it simple, the customer service was HORRID. God help the staff that has to deal with the counter-clerk (terrifying enough the clerk may be the manager as well), it took over an hour to deliver about 2 miles from the location in which the staff was polite-ish.
