I should say I have only eaten here once. I don't eat meat and for lunch I had about one option, a friend grilled cheese (yes, the whole thing was fried). If you are looking for family friendly, meat and potatoes, heart attack waiting to happen, kids everwhere, church crowd (no alcohol), this is the place for you. I really enjoyed their banter and smiles. -Generally great breakfast foods Improvements: (because I want them to be super awesome and get my 5 stars) -Ask customers for feedback at the register -Improve the quality of the salads! They were gross and cheap compared to the quality of ALL the other foods. The croutons were a 10 and the greens were a 2. -Upgrade some of the merchandise (I know you hide them in the back room) to follow the movies, but if you choose not to pay royalties, then at least DISPLAY your merchandise near the register so fans and customers can purchase them. -Open on weekends at night and turn the place into a Pub as the place is suppose to be. Usually I stop in Pocatello for some kind of meal on my way to and from Salt Lake. Usually I eat somewhere close to the freeway like Perkins or Jack in the box. But my son had been raving about this place his friends took him to. So when my husband and I came down to have his phone repaired we decided to try it. This is definitely one of the best food places I have been to during my family road trip. The service was great and even when they close at 11 on Fri., they don't rush you if you come at 10:00. Now food-wise, it is crazy! Portions are huge and taste amazing and cheap. I had the SST special and there sandwiches are 3-inch. It was more! I was with my family of five and the whole bill was ~$52. Talk about cheap and big! Can't get like this in Cali. Named after the owner of the Prancing Pony in lord of the rings, this place is a fantastic place to go for classic american food. We went for lunch and enjoyed their SST special (soup, sandwich, and a treat). The SST includes a 3 inch sandwich, which sounds small but is very wide and hearty. We got pie for our treat and the slices were very generous. Great place for lunch--we left feeling very full and satisfied. The service as also wonderful, our waitress Kayla was very knowledgeable about the menu and we enjoyed her suggestions. read more

My whole life I have enjoyed this place but it seems in the recent years it has declined customer service has gone down food quality is sub par. Today I got my favorite the center cut bacon bacon wasn't even cooked. Hash browns were cold and some as if they'd just been taken out of a freezer. Came in because I saw it had a lot of reviews on Yelp. Not super impressed. Ordered a chicken sandwich, potato soup, and oatmeal pie. The bread on the sandwich was really good. The chicken was weird. Makes me wanna not eat chicken for a while. I regret not getting the cinnamon twist, because it looks like that's the best thing there. Potato soup tasted like it was out of a can and had the consistency of boogers. Overall, disappointed. Probably not returning. read more

Every table around me had meals that looked amazing! Mine, my wife's and my mother's were all very disappointing. My famous mashed potatoes were dry, crumbly and tasteless. Ok so my wife and I spent a night in Idaho falls and I had read all the good reviews of this place so we drove for 45 minutes just to eat here. We show up and it busy busy . We put our name on the list and step outside and wait with the others then people who showed up after us were being seated so I go inside and point this out to the obviously uninterested hostess and was told we would have the next table and not more than 3 minutes later the hostess comes out and seats yet another party of two that had shown up a good twenty minutes after we showed. Not sure why we were treated so poorly I wasn't rude or anything just pointed out that we were being skipped so food might be great but ill never know. P.S. Since we had already driven so far for Butterburrs we drove another hour down the road to Malad to Sperro's BBQ best pulled pork and ribs around and super cheap. read more

The service over the last few years has degraded down to hardly helpful. Today Multiple times our server had to return to ask us to repeat orders and still did not get it right. More than one of the orders did not come complete and when we asked for the missing items our server left to pick it up and never returned. She was not hospitable at all, purely rude.
