Tiny tiny cafe inside Conti Hotel. We walked here from the Ruby Slipper after seeing the long wait there. Decor is spartan but cute. Eggs Benedict with spinach and artichokes were delicious but the spinach was very very creamy. I prefer a less creamy sauce but that's a personal preference. We also had meusli with fruit that was overly sweetened but otherwise good. Service was kind and attentive. After seeing the racous scene at the Red Slipper (and deciding not to eat there), this was a welcome respite. It was quiet and calm and intimate. We called from the other restaurant and were told there was no wait. We finished our breakfast before our table at the Red Slipper was even ready. Recommended, especially for refugees from the Red Slipper. The food and ambience here are great. And it isn't a tourist trap. That counts for a lot. read more

Came here for brunch with some of my girlfriends on a trip to New Orleans and my first impression was that the decor was to die for! Very cute and French inspired, exactly what I love about cafes in New Orleans! Everyone was very satisfied with their meal. I ordered a chicken and potato hash and a latte. I was very impressed by the portion size and overall flavor. Only thing I can really complain about was the service. The place it's small but very nicely decorated, music playing in the background but not loud at all! Food: I had the Benedict of the day, cheddar cheese biscuit topped with green fried tomatoes, caramelized onions, bacon, shallots and poached eggs all smothered in a spicy hollandaise sauce. Superb! My husband had the European breakfast: grilled ham, Brie cheese and baguette toasted with a bowl of fresh fruit! After reading reviews, I was excited to check this place out. I ordered the apple, cinnamon, and almond crepes. I was disappointed when they can out though because it wasn't real apples, but Apple sauce. It just tasted like crepes with Apple sauce and almonds. My mother had the cranberry muffin which I thought tasted kind of average. My father on the other hand had the egg Benedict special. I tasted it and it was very good. Great food! Decent atmosphere. I went to cafe conti and ordered a breakfast poboy and a tomato and cheese omelette. My omelette was great and I liked my iced latte too. The waitresses were very nice and cracked jokes and laughed with us. It's always a good sign when employees enjoy their jobs at any place. However the atmosphere was a little quiet and awkward as there weren't so many people. This could be solved by playing music at a low volume so it doesn't feel like what you say is being heard by every table. read more

They offer a wide range of french food and I got the " Nutella Banana Crepe " which was just amazing. It was really really good and was done to perfection. Extremely poor service. I'm so irritated by their attitude that's I'm in line writing this. So both employees are saying loud enough "I'm F***ing done working at this place and these shifts." There's kids in here with their parents. I asked about Apple Pay at the red headed guy responded "no we don't, actually I don't know". Then another guest came up to the counter and asked for a packet of something and the female employee put her hand up in the customers face and said I got it and walked away. Also, the two-person party next to us had been seated before us, but the server forgot to put their order into the kitchen and so they never received their food. Understandably, they stood up and left. The food, however, was great! Between my friend and I, we shared the crab and brie crepe and grits bowl. Both dishes were so savory and delicious, but they were also on the richer side so we could only finish about half of each dish. Look, most hotel breakfast spots are underwhelming, or overpriced if they're quality. Cafe Conti is the exception. It's a small space attached to a hotel in the French Quarter, but it's a perfect setting for a delicious breakfast, with pleasant service, at a crazy reasonable price. It's a little confusing when you walk in because you have to wait to be seated, but it feels like a seat yourself restaurant since it's so small. I had the croque madame and it was everything! The coffee is delicious, but the orange juice isn't exactly freshly squeezed. That's fine because the food is piping hot and so scrumptious. My husband had the bacon crepe, and then chowed down on their French toast of the day. Their baguette with Brie was crazy good, and our day was kicked off just right. Then I was told they are still cleaning the cups and we need wait for the water. It is OK. Then I was told there is no crepe powder. I need wait for 15mins for the crepe powder. (But after 30mins still no crepe, the waitress ask us if we still want to order crepe) Should I be told half hour early so that I do not need to wait for the food I do not like here?
