Ok, so I had this place on my list for a while now, but I finally got to try it. Food- So I ordered the chilaquiles flight and my partner the all-in-one burrito. The chilaquiles flight has a choice of three sauces of your choice. I chooses the azteca sauce (red), poblano (green) and habanero (the far left). Honestly, the azteca sauce was the best red sauce I ever had on chilaquiles. I would 100% order them again. So good. The poblanos were good and so were the habaneros. Habaneros were def spicy fa sho. Service- the host was kind (I didn't get his name) and took our drinks. Pleasant to speak with. Our server, was absent though. I think he only popped in once and sorta had to flag him down for my bill. Took awhile to get our order taken but I'll give benefit of the doubt that it was a holiday and they were probably short staff. But this is where I feel a little disappointed. For what I paid, I feel like it's overpriced. Almost $20 dollars for three types of chilaquiles. No eggs, beans or rice. Yikes. My partner also said the same thing about his burrito and wished his eggs had more seasoning. My iced cafe de olla was good though. Idk about $7+ dollars good though. Next time, I'll stick with the azteca chilaquiles plate since it's the same price of the flight one, and it also comes with sides. read more

Tiny place but worth the wait! Their menu is amazing and has a lot of options. The cafe de Lola was absolutely fantastic! I still crave it. The service was super slow though, they have like 8 guys working but it took a very long time to get our food, one order was missing and when we were done it took even longer to get our check. Café de olla has to be one of my favorite restaurants to go to for brunch. The coffee is delicious and strong the chilaquiles are amazing they are crunchy and the salas is very flavorful. I also love their French toast. The restaurant is very well kept. The servers are very attentive The only problem is the long wait line, however it's worth a wait. read more

Let's start with I found this little gem on Yelp and wanted to give it a try. The wait was about 30 minutes around 8ish am on a Friday morning. The ambiance was great! I love a good Mexican restaurant, especially when they serve Chilaquilles!! It feels so hard to come by and it's such a simple meal. We were in the area grabbing coffee down the street and decided to pick up some food from here before we headed home! Didn't realize how small and busy this place gets so we waited quite a bit. The host was outside on this rainy day, he handed us menus and told us to head inside to place our order to-go, when we were ready. Headed in to place our order of chorizo, pancakes, and chilaquiles! Shortly after we ordered and paid, the entire restaurant was blasting the happy birthday song for someone and they really go all out! They bring out a giant birthday themed frame for you to take photos with. Super cute and love how lively it got. Waited a good 15 minutes which wasn't bad at all! Everything was great! The food was amazing, the staff was very helpful. Elsa was our server and she was checking up on us frequently which we appreciated! The restaurant felt very intimate and home like! The only down side about our experience was the menus, they seemed pretty old and damaged. Pretty decent overall and the workers here are friendly. The food was alright to me, so I'm not jumping to return I went on a Tuesday morning and it was pretty busy even then. My wait time was about half an hour, even during the middle of the week. Workers here are super nice but it took a bit for the waiter to ask for my table's order. Took another good while for the food to arrive but I think that speaks to it being freshly made, so I don't mind :) Horchata - 3/10. I'm sorry. I've always had a good experience until this morning. We were given a dirty coffee mug that still had someone's lipstick.. gross.. then the glass was cracked all over the bottom from my iced cafe de olla, that's dangerous.. tell me why once my husband got a new hot coffee, the milk in the little cups they give you curdled?... lots of food safety issues, makes you wonder what else is going on in the rest of the kitchen.. though we received quick sorrys and replacement for our items, the workers didn't seem to really care about those big issues.. read more

About $25/person. I did a to go order, as they have a pretty small and cramp spot. Used their system to ask for ketchup and Jam but got neither. Make sure to open up and check everything before leaving. Home fries undercooked, would have sent back if I was there. Bacon is pretty good. Eggs are normal. Café De Olla is one of my all time favorite brunch spots. Pros: -Serving incredible Mexican dishes, with an emphasis on breakfast items like chilaquiles, huevos divorciados, and huevos rancheros. The chipotle chilaquiles sauce was creamy and spicy. I seriously cannot recommend this enough. I'm also very fond of their mole enchiladas. -LOVE their cafe de olla. It's definitely on the sweeter side, which pairs perfectly with spicer dishes. -I've always had great experiences with the staff. Everyone is friendly and on top of it. The wait was 20 minutes on a Tuesday summer morning. There are tables out front amidst the Victory Blvd. traffic or you can be seated inside. The inside decor is cute and the staff are kind, albeit soft spoken in a loud environment. This made it difficult to communicate not only with the wait staff, but also with my beloved Godmother across from me. If only they had some tapestry on the walls to muffle the voices. Everyone's conversation was echoing louder and louder off of the walls, which amounted to me yelling across a table that was 3 feet wide. The food was good. I ordered the Omelette de la casa, which tasted amazing. It said it was chilaquiles with poblano chiles, so I expected to see some charred pieces of poblano chiles inside, but I didn't. I guess they were blended in. She had ordered the French toast and finished her eggs, bacon, and hash browns, before the French toast arrived. After asking for them the 3rd time, the waiter had some explanation that we didn't quite hear, but assumed they were on the way. Been wanting to go to this place to see what the hype was about and wondered why their wait time is 1.5hrs. It's a cute little spot. I was more excited to try their cafe de olla. I got a dish that had chorizo and Chilakiles, the chilaquiles lacked flavor and the chorizo was so salty.. my liver hurt. Both dishes we got were too salty. The cafe de olla was tooooo sweet. Besides the food and coffee, they were very nice. I don't think I'll be coming back though. I would suggest less salty food and less sugar in the coffee de olla read more

Surprisingly one of the best places for chilaquiles. I've given up hope because most places make it way too salty. This was perfection, not too salty, not too bland, full of flavor! We actually thought the portions would be bigger as with some brunch places but I think that one plate each is fine. We didn't have any leftovers though! Most people left this place with a coffee in hand but since we had coffee right before we didn't get the chance to try it. For the food I got the Del Norte plate which is chilaquiles with steak, veggies and eggs. I also got the banana Nutella pancakes as dessert. Seating here is limited but add yourself to the waitlist so by the time you arrive it's easy to get a seat. The food wasn't bad overall. My wife ordered the Aztec Chilaquiles, and I had the Poblano Green Chilaquiles. I'd rate the green ones a 7 out of 10 and the red ones a 4 out of 10. However, the main issue was the service. The host, Eric, seemed completely miserable. I'd honestly suggest the owner consider doing a survey or sending in a mystery shopper to see what's going on. Maybe the owner doesn't care, since people seem willing to wait a long time to be seated here anyway. Or maybe Eric was just having a rough day. The restaurant is cozy, and we absolutely loved how it's a local staple. So many people stopped by simply to order a cafe de olla to go. Our food was great. I tried the chorizo burrito and my wife got a pancake dish. Our little one was also a fan of the food and for a picky eater I'm glad he showed them some love too.
