Cafe De Olla is a Burbank staple. I've been going to Cafe De Olla for quite some time now and they don't miss. Their food is amazing. I always get their Chilaquiles and Chocolate Chip Pancakes with an Iced Cafe De Olla. They have different sauces for their chilaquiles and each one is so good. The pancakes are always warm and fluffy. Service is top tier. Everyone is so welcoming and tries to accommodate you in a timely manner as they do get really busy. Ambiance is great. A cozy breakfast spot with seating inside and some outside. It's on the smaller side so it does get packed. I would recommend being there early. Overall , I'll always tell people to try Cafe De Olla if they haven't yet. It's that good and I'll always come back.

I really enjoyed this spot! It was a bit of a wait even on a weekday but it was definitely worth it. The staff were friendly just running around due to how busy it was. It was also a pretty small place so that's also probably why they can't seat many people. I would definitely return, it was so fresh and tasty. It really was spicy! I loved that kick and how it was still edible without spice taking over. The cafe de olla was so tasty too, I usually don't drink coffee but I will now!

Decided to stop by here on a Saturday morning. This cafe has an option to get in line online before arriving so you don't have to wait as long which I like. It was busy but they move fast so we only waited about 20 min. Parking can be a little difficult as it's only street parking. I got the Paisano omlette, I loved how they added the salsa and cheese to imitate the Mexican flag! The omelette had shredded beef that was loaded with all the condiments inside. It is served with a side of hashbrowns that were cooked nice and crispy. I also got a side of pancakes that come with 2. They were cooked very fluffy and buttery. Overall I love coming to cafe de olla!

Ambiance: it's a small and packed brunch place, located in Burbank, street parking only, limited indoor and outdoor seating, expect long waiting time around one hour during weekend perk hours Service: fairly slow, after seated, it took a long time to place order and receive food Food: numerous items on their menu, traditional breakfast and lunch, in both Mexican and American styles MACHACA BURRITO - **** Eggs, shredded beef, onion, tomato, jalapeño, rice, beans, and salsa, flavorful, recommend HUEVOS DIVORCIADOS - *** Two over medium eggs, one cover with red sauce, and another covered with green sauce, served cold and mushy texture CÁFE DE OLLA - *** traditional way of preparing coffee in Mexico, boiling cinnamon sticks, piloncillo spices and ground coffee, very unique flavor for people like cinnamon Price: moderate protons and reasonable prices, expect $25 per person

First time eating here with friends and I really enjoyed it. My friend put our name down on the waitlist via Yelp while driving and we waited approximately 10 minutes to be seated. Once the table was ready, they called us and sat us down. We ordered and the food came out extremely fast. Whoever is running the kitchen definitely knows what they're doing! I ordered the chorizo burrito with hash brown from their breakfast menu and the cafe de olla. The burrito was fresh and hot with a good kick in spice - the perfect size too. Eating it with the included salsa, it was great! The cafe de Olla was delicious too with a good amount of cinnamon and not overly sweet either. Going to be adding this place to the family's rotation now. It's great, but can get packed as eating is very limited. Street parking is available too. Can't wait to come back! Service was great too!

I went for brunch during the week when it would be less crowded, wait time for a table wasn't long and we were able to snag a seat inside. Our server Matt came to the table right away, grabbed our drinks and answered some questions I had about the menu. I ended up grabbing the poblano chilaquiles (green sauce) it came with rice and creamy beans to dip the chips in. It was delicious, lots of chips so I didn't finish it all but was really good. My cousin got a veggie breakfast wrap and an iced coffee, she said both were really good! They also have gluten free pancakes ($2+ up charge) and will accommodate if you have any allergies, just notify the server. Overall service was great, food was delicious. Seating is limited both inside and outside. Parking is street only, I did find a spot off to the side in the neighborhood with a short walk to the restaurant. **When checking in, note that your whole party needs to be there when the table is ready. They won't seat you before hand.

We've been here multiple times in the morning and always come back for the chilaquiles -- every version we've tried has been amazing. Great flavor, fresh ingredients, and solid portions. We haven't tried their pancakes and other sweet breakfast items yet, but they look really good and are definitely on our list for next time. It's a small, cozy spot, so during busy hours you may have a short wait. A lot of people also stop in to grab coffee and fresh baked goods to go, which shows how popular this place is. Friendly staff, great cozy vibes, and consistently good food. Definitely worth the stop if you're in the area.

This place is tiny so I cannot tell you how important it is to get on the wait-list before you arrive. That being said the food is pretty good, the chorizo is excellent and the chilaquiles are done well and stay crispy for quite some time. I don't recommend beef here other than as machaca it isn't the best cut so it can be hit and miss. The French toast and pancakes really are done well, presented beautifully and worth getting. The cafe de olla is always really good, the perfect blend of spices every time whether iced or hot it's a must try. Fair warning it is a bit sweet. Beans, rice and omelettes are always done well and full of flavors, with crisp veggies and never too spicy. This place always has excellent service I've never had a bad experience. Because it's so small bear in mind it may get loud when you sit inside, sidewalk dining is a good option if you're a large party.

I've been meaning to try this spot for a minute! We put our name on the list and were told it would be a 45 minute wait!!!! We were wanting to try it, so decided to wait, but did run across the street to get coffee, so we unfortunately didn't try any of the drinks at Cafe de Olla. The servers were friendly and the menu was awesome. My boyfriend and I split the chorreadas, which were SO so good! Great flavor! And my boyfriend got the chilaquiles divorciados with habanero and poblano sauces. This was excellent and the rice and beans were so good. I ordered the all-in-one burrito, which didn't have as much flavor compared to the other two items we got, so it fell a little flat for me, but is otherwise a fine option! This would be great for someone who is worried about something being spicy, but wanting a filling option. I think I will try chilaquiles next time, though. The menu is awesome, so it's totally worth a wait.

Really good!! I ordered the sopes with beef. They are small medium size, for me like 4/5 bites. Some reviews said they were super small and I don't think the are. The sauce they give you in the little metal cup is so good!! Some main criticism - I hate that it has cucumbers that is noooot normal for me. I also hate that the onions are not picked! The menu says they are pickled. Other than that their cafe de olla is really good and I would go back!

I've been to the Cafe De Olla in Monrovia, but the one in Burbank is the OG location. It's smaller with a few tables inside and out on the sidewalk. I can see how the wait can be super long here during peak times since the cafe has such few tables. As we came later in the day, we were able to get a table pretty quickly. Plus we got on the Yelp Waitlist so that probably helped. Parking is available only if you're lucky to find a spot in the street. The restroom is tiny and not wheelchair accessible. Pastries for sale are displayed in a vintage cupboard (like those cupboards in your abuelita's living room). Love the extensive menu and brunch that is available all day. I live for their hot Cafe de Olla (they also offer it in iced) and downed a few mugs during my meal - so so good! My friend and I shared the Chipotle Chicken Sandwich and the Banana Pecan French Toast. Both were 5/5 - so yummy! Only downside is that service is slow, I had to wait a while for our server to come back and get refills, boxes, the check, etc. Our server was MIA for so long that I ended up asking another server for help.

This has been one of my favorite places to get brunch! I absolutely love the food here, and I've never gotten anything bad. The cafe itself is really small and cozy and the staff is always super nice. The wait time can get really long though so try to go early! Their sweet temptation French toast is so good! Definitely one of my favorites. There is no parking lot but I've always found plenty of street parking.

Came here for a girl's brunch, and we are so glad we did! Cafe De Olla has been a place I've wanted to visit for a while now, and it did not disappoint! We got the Sweet Temptation French toast, the Very Berry French toast, and the Chilaquiles Divorciados. Parking was easy to find (street parking) and we didn't have to wait long for our table. The staff are all very friendly! We asked our waiter for suggestions and he was very helpful. Two of us were feeing sweet, one was feeling savory, and there were plenty of options on the menu. I got the Sweet Temptation French toast. This was delicious. The Dulce de Lèche was rich, but balanced out with the acidity from the strawberries. The French toast was exactly as you would imagine, cooked well and had a nice flavor. The French toast came with a side of eggs, meat, and potatoes. I chose over medium eggs, bacon, and hash browns. My eggs were cooked right, the bacon was crispy without being brittle, and the hash browns were perfect. Definitely worth it! My friends got the Very Berry French toast and the Chilaquiles Divorciados. They both said theirs were delicious as well. The ambience of the restaurant is clean and nice. There's seating indoors and outdoors, we chose to eat inside. The waiter checked on us a few times to make sure we were still doing okay, and we never felt rushed. Overall, I would definitely recommend Cafe De Olla. I'll be back to try their other menu items (:

I had passed by this restaurant before but had never been curious enough to actually stop in. This time their drink menu advertised outside caught my attention so I figured "hey, why not?" From the moment I walked in i was trying to figure out whether I liked the atmosphere or not. The music was excellent, but the décor took me a second to process. It felt like an 80s lounge crashed into a neon Día de los Muertos inspired art gallery. It's most definitely not a quiet, cozy restaurant. It has more of a loud, colorful, party style personality. I was seated promptly by a kind hostess but I wasn't attended to by a waiter for nearly 10 minutes. Once my waiter did come by he was kind, quick, and professional. Now, I'm going to be honest.. I'm pretty picky when it comes to Mexican restaurant food, so I didn't have the highest expectations. I ordered the potato taquitos, a Jarrito Loco made with watermelon purée, vodka instead of tequila, and chamoy on the rim, plus chiles toreados and one carne asada taco. Laugh all you want, but I was half expecting the food to come out looking like a cafeteria lady had splattered it onto a plate... I was genuinely impressed by the presentation instead. The potato "taquitos" were bigger than I expected so don't let the "itos" fool you. They were crispy, flavorful, filling, and honestly so delicious. Those get a 5/5 from me. My drink was also incredible. It was refreshing, especially with how hot the day was, and had just the right amount of alcohol. The presentation was so cute I almost felt bad ruining it. Easily one of the best drinks I've had in the Burbank area -- 5/5. The carne asada taco wasn't as impressive as the potato taquitos, so I'd give that a 3/5. The chile toreado was definitely spicy, it just needed to be salted a little more but otherwise no complaints! I need to remind myself not to be too quick to judge because I was genuinely surprised by this place. The décor wasn't fully my personal style, but the food and drinks more than made up for it. I'd definitely come back again, especially for the potato taquitos and drinks.

We finally got there, today, 4pm (on a Saturday) and the food and the staff were excellent. We ordered the Queso fundido for appetizer and as long as you're in the mood for bubbly cheese and chorizo, this is great with chips, but they also give you a choice of flour or corn tortillas with it, as well. For main, we tried the Molcajete, which we haven't had, anywhere, since we lived down in O.C. It turned out to be better than what we had in O.C., from the sauce to the meats and cheese to the peppers. Also, their chicken tortilla soup was good (as a side with the Molcajete) with lots of veggies in it. The staff were wonderful, though.. From the first waiter who allowed us to change from a table to a booth to our waiter, Jose, who was friendly and looked after us (also quick on getting back to us, every time). And a special thanks to Yennie (possibly, spelled with a J', if so, "lo siento") who also helped us and even when *someone* (me) had a party foul with a margarita, she quickly helped out and was super nice about it. After a trip to the dentist (for a crown replacement) and a long week, everyone at Don Cuco's allowed us to relax and the food (and margaritas ;-) ) made it perfect.

Chips were warm and hot out of the fryer. Salsa is on hot side, not mild. Both free refill and we had to stop ourselves after refill because we haven't gotten to the food yet. Ok for the food - Meatballs in soup had lots of cumin, I liked it but if you hate cumin then skip it. - Strong margarita drink that my gf got drunk off of one lol they sure load it up - Zarapes, one chicken one beef. beef was really good. - Lobster Enchiladas: ok i have a lot to say about this one, it was different, but not in a bad way. The garlic rice and black bean side was really yummy, better than the sides on the zarapes. I ordered it because i needed something different and yes it was. Now there is one problem with this dish and its that they don't use real lobster, its a imitation crab/lobster meat like product shaped differently and made from fish and nowhere on the menu says that which is not ethical business practice. That said it didn't taste bad but its not real. Overall I would comeback, overall the food was good but not groundbreaking. The Mixed alcohol drinks is definitely get your moneys worth and is better than the other place across the street. Steak is good for the fajita like dishes, Seafood dish tastes good but not real lobster chunks, i would probably try the regular fish next time.

Hole Mole. This place rocks. Celia's has become one of my favorite Mexican spots in Burbank. Now I…read morecome for the Mole. A fun fact, they have a large table that has been in the family for decades. They offer both inside and patio seating. That means your dog is welcome. The mole is outstanding. They have 4 kinds to choose from. It is rich, complex, and full of authentic flavor. The chicken tacos were fresh, perfectly seasoned, and absolutely delicious. They are plastered on top of hand made tortillas with a pico de gallo. Order the flight of mole and pour it on top. The location is great and makes for a fun dining experience, especially if you're looking for something a little different from the usual Mexican restaurant. Their tequilla bar makes for a fun experience. The service was friendly, attentive, and welcoming throughout our visit. However service is hit or miss. Sometimes only one person is serving the inside section. The only downside is the parking situation, which can be a bit challenging. We usually park across the street and walk over. Highly recommend for anyone craving excellent mole, tasty tacos, and great margaritas! You can also check out the stables next door.

Beyond ignored and completely unwelcome. This place could have been the hubby and I spot. Since…read moreit's so close to home. But unfortunately, they were really unfriendly & understaffed and the waiter/bartender was extremely bothered we were there and seemed very overwhelmed. I don't know who Celia is but maybe get more staff in the kitchen and a hostess and more waitress/waiters. We went in Saturday Valentines night dinner right before 6pm and found parking to be easy and should have taken that as a sign but figured we get better service. NOPE! The parking not is just really small and the people sitting had ordered and committed to staying I guess. Keep reading and you'll get my drift! Honestly, We assumed it would be a great night romantic dinner. Then, we walked in and felt so neglected. No hostess to greet or seat you. The bus man or waiter said wait here and cleaned a table when 3 were available. It looks like the three employees were doing everything and at the same time doing nothing! It was comical at first. He sat us finally and then we ordered. Appetizers and a Molcajete and two nonalcoholic drinks. By now 32mins passed. No chips & salsa. No nothing... we should have just left. But we were lazy to leave elsewhere with no reservations on Valentine day. He brought me a drink from the bar like if I ordered it, I hate to say he might have memory issues. Then he noticed we still don't have our drinks and he had to ask again what I ordered. Now 50mins passed and at another 15 mins the main course came before the appetizers were served so I cancelled it. It just seems like they didn't care for anyone else but the people at the bar. Ppl were just walking in and ended up leaving or seating themselves. Majority left and they didn't even notice! Not welcoming at all and as for the food. I feel like everything was previously frozen as the chicken and meat was very chewy-leather like. The cheese was cold. And just grateful that we didn't get sick because it wasn't cooked all the way. When I go into a restaurant, I expect good service and quality food. I unfortunately won't be returning. Such a shame because this place has western character straight out of a saloon and can't speak for the drinks as we didn't even eat our entire meal and wanted to get the hell out. Do better because this could be a cute hangout spot!

Echoing what everyone else has been saying - the service is SO slow. It was about 45 minutes before we were able to order our second drink and our water glasses were empty. They have so many runners bringing the drinks out but only a few servers and, from the looks of it, one bartender (on a Saturday night - what?!). The server was saying he was trying to find a manager to help out but they were nowhere to be found. Clearly management is fine with these service times since they're still making $$$. The drinks were delicious, and I loved that there were heaters on the patio (though they did get very hot at times). Our server was so kind and brought us a celebratory drink. I do wish there were more explanations with the beverages, especially for the Paid Vacation as most people will not realize you're supposed to bite into the buzz button for the tingly sensation. I would come back, but need some time for my wallet to recover first, haha!
