What a fun experience! Now that I understand the flow of the restaurant, I cannot wait to go back and not mess it up! I'll set the scene, late lunch with girlfriends. None of us had been before and apparently we all need directions told to us 25 times. I wanted to try literally everything. On my social media I had seen a lot of talk about the rice crispy fried chicken and these ramen bowls with toppings, so this is why I talked my girlfriends into coming with me so I could try more food. When we entered, we were given the run down, pick the Ramen, pick the toppings, come back pay and get instructions. I do wish the toppings were labeled a little bit better, but now that I asked all of my questions, I know my next bowl will be top notch. First thoughts on the rice crispy chicken, I thought it was going to be sweeter. That being said, it was an ok covering for the chicken, the best part of the chicken is that each piece was cooked to perfection, juicy and super hot. I also loved the yumyum sauce it was exactly what I wanted, sweet and a bit spicy. Lastly we also tried the SDSD, apparently I love rice cakes, I could eat those ALL DAY LONG but then I would not be filling out my food pyramid. They also had yumyum sauce on them, I could also consume a lot more of that than I need to.
My daughter has been trying to get here for while and since we happened to be in the area, we stopped by. It's a quaint restaurant with limited seating inside but worked well for our party of 2. You order at the counter and they give you a buzzer to pick up your food when ready. I had the Soy Garlic Korean fried chicken wings which were really good. Loved the crisp on the chicken. My daughter had the Bulgogi gimba and the Chi-bap (soy garlic), which she enjoyed as well. The boneless chicken is a good as the wings. We didn't try the ramen but they had a lot of options. It's something we look forward to on our return.
A new spot in the former home of Mom's Deli. I loved the Tikki Hut bar inside and outside! Neither were in use when I was in but interested to see what they will be used for. Upon entry, the service counter is to the left and the middle is pretty open with a couple tables to sit and enjoy your selections, to the right are the machines for create your own Ramen. Very interesting, pretty cool concept. All the instructions are there for you to do this on your own. They have a small hot bar, a Ramen wall, a cold case, and Chicken 7 walk up. We got a chicken bowl, with corn and lettuce and sauce, it was flavorful and hot. There was a Korean Hot Dog ordered but I am not a hot dog person, so I didn't try it. It looked very cute, though. Guy behind the counter was helpful. Can't wait to return when I will make my own Ramen
Back at Cafe Ganadara getting aggressively loved through food again. I ordered a couple things like a fool. Fish katsu crispy perfection and my forever favorite tuna gimbap. They also have a whole create your own ramen bar. And somehow, despite all that, they still kept feeding us. At this point I'm not a customer, I'm family. Send help. Or don't. Grabbed a brownie for later but let's be honest, it's now a bargaining chip. Power moves only.
Absolutely loved seeing Cafe Ganadara in a new space and how they have reimagined their menu. Love the addition of the ramen making stations and I will be back to try that out. For this visit, we just focused on their hot food, prepared food menu. We ordered their beef bibimbap, spam rice ball, tuna gimbap, and cinnamon pancake - hotteoke. Everything was incredible and we still think about how simple yet delicious the spam rice ball was. Service was great and they even help you navigate the ramen making stations. Our food was also out quickly.
Cafe Ganadara re-opened and better than ever! Located where Mom's Deli used to be! They brought their Chicken Seven and now they have a Ramen Library! Bulgogi, Pork, Chicken, and more! Yay! We tried their Fish Katsu, Soy garlic chicken, soup dumplings, and 2 ramen. They also have variety of Korean Pocket drinks and your choice of Boba. Friendly family owned business. We didn't try the ramen, but it was a ramen bar where they were packages of instant ramen where you pick items to put in. Service was great and friendly! We got Korean fried chicken - tasted great, I'm just picky about dark meat.. Korean corn dog was so interesting, didn't expect to like it because it's a strange concept. Mozzarella cheese in a corn dog crust with sugar. It was actually very good
Located in the spot where "Moms deli" used to be . Lots of street parking . Cute ambience . Mostly outdoor seating . LOVE the DIY ramen wall with all the toppings . Cant wait to be back to try that .The bibimbap was good, the gimbap and boneless spicy fried chicken were amazing ! The lemonade boba and taro drink were gray . Service was friendly and efficient!! Can't believe this is my first visit and can't wait to be back
I found out about Cafe ganadara after watching an Instagram reel about their cool ramen station and machines and was excited to check it out for lunch today. It's a hole in the wall with fried Korean chicken, packaged ramen, boxed lunches, japchae, and fun street food! I ordered the japchae and 2 hotteok which are warm sweet pancakes filled with cinnamon and sugar and nut filling. Everything tasted super fresh and authentic and my friends tried out the donkatsu lunch box and the kimbap rolls. They have a few vegetarian and vegan options too. I'll be back soon !
Love the updated concept of a food court with Chicken 7. It was nice to see the owners in their element again and the additional menu items are soooo good. Seating is mostly outside now, and it's fun to see the old Mom's deli reimagined. My partner loved it, and he's so excited to come back. Really excited to come back again.
Nice lunch at Cafe Ganadara at their new location on Jamieson Avenue and dined on a Korean beef bulgogi in a bento-style box that was delicious. I must admit this restaurant perplexed me a bit with different options including preparing your own ramen from a machine (I guess!) with a choice of different additions to your ramen bowl but decided to order the bulgogi bento box from the counter and an ice tea and ate outside on the patio outside that has limited seating but was a nice day anyway and uncrowded at lunch time. I enjoyed my food thoroughly since I love Korean food especially after living in the Far East of Asia for a few years and the food tasted as authentic as I would get there. Friendly counter service and not much ambiance but the porch was nice to sit and dine.
Thinking this is the new Chicken 7? They have a lot of things alluding to our beloved old chicken 7.. the tapokki sausage is our awesome. The Korean corn dog is also excellent. The favorite is the rice crispy chicken, such a simple concept but sooo good. It's a cute little spot, has indoor an outdoor seating right on Hampton. The atmosphere is very very quiet, almost whisper when talking kind of quiet. They had music videos playing the other time we went, so it was less quiet at least. Everyone who works there is nice and helpful, we've never had any complaints!! If you're thinking of going, GO!

Small but very cute spot off Hampton! No associated parking lot but there is ample street parking nearby. The cafe is nicely decorated with plush chairs / aesthetic wall decor and kpop music playing in the background. Menu includes several Korean street food items including SDSD sausage and fried chicken. Service was quick! I ordered the bulgolgi gimbap to go which was very flavorful (nice mayo sauce) and some sizzling, crispy and somehow super juicy Korean fried chicken! The sauce it came with was delicious. Very nice. Would definitely go back! Real rating probably 4.5/5. read more

This place is a local gem! Walked here from my neighborhood and the atmosphere inside is so cozy. The staff were quick and so nice! They had lots of options that all seemed so good, it was so hard to choose what to get. I got a boba tea, a main course, and a dessert and they were all amazing. This might be my new go-to place! read more

Delicious, warm, and welcoming! We'll be back for sure. The flavors were bold, and the the fried chicken was super crunchy. Service was a little slow, but that's because the only workers were the husband/wife duo that own the place. read more

Cafe Ganada is a small cute cafe located in Hampton Avenue. There is no private parking lot but I was able to get street parking fairly quickly. The interior is very cozy and decorated with colorful furniture. You need to go in front, order and pay ahead and then the servers will bring the food to you. These are the things we ordered. Spicy Tuna Kimbap - You can never go wrong with Kimbap. The tuna was cooked and mixed with kewpie mayo and sriracha. Beef japchae over rice - I loved the japchae! It was not like the traditional japchae but it tasted good and I would definitely eat it again. SDSD - A classic! Chewy rice, savory sosegi with a sweet gochugang sauce. Tasty! Fried chicken and Baap - We got the soy chicken. It was crispy, toasted with the light sweet soy sauce on a rice bed. We also got the matcha strawberry latte and brown sugar oat milk latte - both were very refreshing and not overly sweet. I am definitely dropping by if I am in the area. Solid experience! read more

Food: 4 Stars Service: 4 Stars Took a trip down to Princeton Heights and visited @cafe_ganadara with the intention of ordering a couple of baked goods and bingsoo. We ended up ordering a full-blown lunch and then some because our eyes were bigger than our stomachs, and also, who can say no to japchae or Korean fried chicken?! The bulgogi gimbap burrito would have made for a perfect meal on its own, but we all know my fat ass needed to order a little bit of everything . The highlight was definitely the bingoo, a cool and refreshing treat for a sweltering hot sunny day. Try the injoelmi if you get a chance. It's a roasted soy bean powder that has a beautiful nutty flavor. read more
First time here. I highly recommend Croffles. It has deep fried waffle base, cream on top of it and a topping of your choice. I got Biscoff and my friend got strawberry toppings. They were both delicious. SDSD is a beef sausage link and rice cake skewer. Great appetizer. Dalgon coffees were delicious. It is a foamed up black coffee drink mixed with milk. They have cow milk & vegan options. Place is cute and small. They have 3-4 (2-person) tables. Service was fast, they were busy around noon on a saturday and they forgot to make my friend's order, so we had it to-go. read more
My friend and I visited Cafe Ganadara last week for a little bingsu. When we arrived, parking was easy to find on the street and we were able to grab a table inside easily. We looked at the menu and decided to share the large bingsu that had watermelon, strawberries and mango! It was enough for the two of us to share and each have a decent amount of the fruit and shaved milk ice. Honestly, it was refreshing on a hot day. New St. Louis Restaurant AlertCafe Ganadara opened last month serving Korean breakfast, lunch, dinner, and dessert by chefs/owners Erica Park & Sean Lee. The sweetest people! We visited at the sweet spot right between breakfast and lunch, so we got a little bit of both: Breakfast: We started with the Ganadara Korean okonomi toast. It has a fluffy egg patty, ham, cabbage and carrot shreds, bonito flakes, and pickled jalapeño. It's drizzled with savory sweet sauces. Definitely my idea of comfort food. Lunch: We ordered the kimbap rice roll (Korean sushi) with tuna and an order of potstickers. We also mad sure to get an order of the SDSD (sausage & rice cake on a stick) since it was my favorite from their other restaurant @chickenseven_stl. Dessert: We had the strawberry sandwich. Super fluffy bread with giant ripe strawberries surrounded by cream. The best way to end a meal. We thought about ordering the bingsu (Korean shaved ice cream) but we had reached capacity! Cafe Ganadara is a new Korean bakery / coffee down in south Hampton area. Their 2 main items are a loaded toast, and different flavor / topping waffles. They've got different lunch specials everyday so check the menu before coming if there's a specific one you want to try. (The owners also opened chicken seven so I'm sure all the chicken ones are delicious) The waffles are great, not too sweet / salty depending on which one you ordered. Favorite one for me is the pesto savory one, and then the Oreo. Tonkatsu rice kimbap was great. Same with the toast. Not too salty but flavorful and delicious! Love it! We will be back to try the other lunch specials!! read more

Second time coming to this place while visiting family in STL, amazing service both times and the gimbap is my absolute FAVORITE thing ever. The atmosphere is always very calm and quiet making it very easy to talk to others. If you're looking for some place quick and delicious I definitely recommend this place! read more

We went again to this cafe and they've been open for a bit now! There's food on the menu now so we tried a few things and they were honestly all very good. The rice crispy chicken and SDSD are must try items. Sad that they didn't have any croffles when we went right at opening on a Sunday and they changed their iced tea glasses to regular plain plastic cups. Service was great as usual. They added some new colorful wall art and decor so we loved the ambiance of the place. read more

Highly recommended!!!!! We ordered a lot just to try their menu and we absolutely loved every single item. My favorite was the rice crispy chicken. It came with soy garlic and yum yum sauce. We also got drinks - honey yuzu, strawberry matcha oat milk and dalgona coffee. They were delicious!!! Their bingsu is not too sweet compared to other bingsu places in STL. The owner was very sweet. Lovely atmosphere. You won't be disappointed : ) read more

We had a delicious and fun meal today at Cafe Ganadara. It felt like being at a street festival but one that had a quiet, clean, comfortable place to sit. Get the Korean Corn Dog. Wow wow wee waa. We tasted 5 dishes and the Yuzu Honey Fruit tea and I enjoyed everything so much I am looking forward to eating here again. But definitely get the corn dog. read more

This place needs more recognition. I saw videos about this place on Instagram and I wanted to try it due to my love of any type of asian restaurants. I got the bulgogi gimbap,crispy chicken and sdsd. I enjoyed all of it. I would say the bulgogi gimbap was my favorite out of the three. You could tell that everything was made fresh and made to order. It's a cute little spot that people can easily miss so be on the lookout and stop by if you want some Korean food. read more
This a pretty small place in the South Hampton area. The menu is pretty small which I like because too many options make me indecisive because I want to try all of it! I had the Chibop. It was deep-fried chicken and ingot yumyum sauce on it. It comes on top of rice. The chicken was moist and flavorful. My wife had the rice crispy chicken. Basically it's just what it sounds like. I came to Café Ganadara to try their unique dishes I had seen in an article. I was there about 30 min after ordering and asked for a boba tea. Their boba wasn't ready for another 30 min so I chose to skip that. I ordered the croffle and asked for flavor recommendations. I chose the biscoff cookie flavor. There were no other customers in the restaurant waiting for food but the woman who took my order didn't start my food for quite a while after I ordered it. I ended up waiting 20 min for one item. Once I got it it was as delicious and it was intaworthy. The outside was crunchy with a light flaky interior and definitely wasn't short on toppings. I'll definitely be back to try some of their savory options as well. read more

Cute little place!! Street parking wasn't a problem for me. The restaurant itself is nicely decorated and clean. You order at the counter and the menu is small (which I personally liked) The gimbap was tasty and had good flavor. The soup was delicious as well! Loved the chicken with soy garlic sauce. I've been wanting to try this spot for awhile, so one night when I wasn't feeling like cooking we ordered some takeout! I ordered the chi-bap which was SO good. I wished I had gotten more slaw because the combo of the chicken and slaw worked perfectly. I also tried the taro bubble tea and SDSD (sausage and rice cake skewers). SDSD was great. I'm not a big sausage person unless it's a higher quality and this hit the mark exactly. The bubble tea was delicious as well. It wasn't too sweet and the boba was very bouncy. My partner got the Japchae and he enjoyed it! I'm excited to have Cafe Ganadara so close to me! I love that I get to try more Korean food as I haven't explored the cuisine much! I can't wait to go back and try their gimbap and I'm craving the chi-bap I ordered, so I will absolutely be getting more. read more
