We are here with our daughter and the food is amazing!!! What a unique concept here in STL.

A new spot in the former home of Mom's Deli. I loved the Tikki Hut bar inside and outside! Neither were in use when I was in but interested to see what they will be used for. Upon entry, the service counter is to the left and the middle is pretty open with a couple tables to sit and enjoy your selections, to the right are the machines for create your own Ramen. Very interesting, pretty cool concept. All the instructions are there for you to do this on your own. They have a small hot bar, a Ramen wall, a cold case, and Chicken 7 walk up. We got a chicken bowl, with corn and lettuce and sauce, it was flavorful and hot. There was a Korean Hot Dog ordered but I am not a hot dog person, so I didn't try it. It looked very cute, though. Guy behind the counter was helpful. Can't wait to return when I will make my own Ramen

Multiple visits keeping my own advice in mind. Up rating to 5/5 it truly deserves. Additional note re this place: if you want noodle soup, they have heating instructions how to operate devices.

My daughter has been trying to get here for while and since we happened to be in the area, we stopped by. It's a quaint restaurant with limited seating inside but worked well for our party of 2. You order at the counter and they give you a buzzer to pick up your food when ready. I had the Soy Garlic Korean fried chicken wings which were really good. Loved the crisp on the chicken. My daughter had the Bulgogi gimba and the Chi-bap (soy garlic), which she enjoyed as well. The boneless chicken is a good as the wings. We didn't try the ramen but they had a lot of options. It's something we look forward to on our return.

Back at Cafe Ganadara getting aggressively loved through food again. I ordered a couple things like a fool. Fish katsu crispy perfection and my forever favorite tuna gimbap. They also have a whole create your own ramen bar. And somehow, despite all that, they still kept feeding us. At this point I'm not a customer, I'm family. Send help. Or don't. Grabbed a brownie for later but let's be honest, it's now a bargaining chip. Power moves only.

Absolutely loved seeing Cafe Ganadara in a new space and how they have reimagined their menu. Love the addition of the ramen making stations and I will be back to try that out. For this visit, we just focused on their hot food, prepared food menu. We ordered their beef bibimbap, spam rice ball, tuna gimbap, and cinnamon pancake - hotteoke. Everything was incredible and we still think about how simple yet delicious the spam rice ball was. Service was great and they even help you navigate the ramen making stations. Our food was also out quickly.

Cafe Ganadara re-opened and better than ever! Located where Mom's Deli used to be! They brought their Chicken Seven and now they have a Ramen Library! Bulgogi, Pork, Chicken, and more! Yay! We tried their Fish Katsu, Soy garlic chicken, soup dumplings, and 2 ramen. They also have variety of Korean Pocket drinks and your choice of Boba. Friendly family owned business. Great seating outside patio Street parking (free)

We didn't try the ramen, but it was a ramen bar where they were packages of instant ramen where you pick items to put in. Service was great and friendly! We got Korean fried chicken - tasted great, I'm just picky about dark meat.. Korean corn dog was so interesting, didn't expect to like it because it's a strange concept. Mozzarella cheese in a corn dog crust with sugar. It was actually very good

Located in the spot where "Moms deli" used to be . Lots of street parking . Cute ambience . Mostly outdoor seating . LOVE the DIY ramen wall with all the toppings . Cant wait to be back to try that .The bibimbap was good, the gimbap and boneless spicy fried chicken were amazing ! The lemonade boba and taro drink were gray . Service was friendly and efficient!! Can't believe this is my first visit and can't wait to be back

I found out about Cafe ganadara after watching an Instagram reel about their cool ramen station and machines and was excited to check it out for lunch today. It's a hole in the wall with fried Korean chicken, packaged ramen, boxed lunches, japchae, and fun street food! I ordered the japchae and 2 hotteok which are warm sweet pancakes filled with cinnamon and sugar and nut filling. Everything tasted super fresh and authentic and my friends tried out the donkatsu lunch box and the kimbap rolls. They have a few vegetarian and vegan options too. I'll be back soon !

Thinking this is the new Chicken 7? They have a lot of things alluding to our beloved old chicken 7.. the tapokki sausage is our awesome. The Korean corn dog is also excellent. The favorite is the rice crispy chicken, such a simple concept but sooo good. It's a cute little spot, has indoor an outdoor seating right on Hampton. The atmosphere is very very quiet, almost whisper when talking kind of quiet. They had music videos playing the other time we went, so it was less quiet at least. Everyone who works there is nice and helpful, we've never had any complaints!! If you're thinking of going, GO!

Love the updated concept of a food court with Chicken 7. It was nice to see the owners in their element again and the additional menu items are soooo good. Seating is mostly outside now, and it's fun to see the old Mom's deli reimagined. My partner loved it, and he's so excited to come back. Really excited to come back again.

Nice lunch at Cafe Ganadara at their new location on Jamieson Avenue and dined on a Korean beef bulgogi in a bento-style box that was delicious. I must admit this restaurant perplexed me a bit with different options including preparing your own ramen from a machine (I guess!) with a choice of different additions to your ramen bowl but decided to order the bulgogi bento box from the counter and an ice tea and ate outside on the patio outside that has limited seating but was a nice day anyway and uncrowded at lunch time. I enjoyed my food thoroughly since I love Korean food especially after living in the Far East of Asia for a few years and the food tasted as authentic as I would get there. Friendly counter service and not much ambiance but the porch was nice to sit and dine.

Got 2 sandwiches for lunch: the smoked pork and the roast beef sandwhich. Still can't decided which one was better because both were DELISH. I thought there was no way the roast beef could be as good yet once again proven wrong. The challah was perfect and whatever cheese they had with the roast beef sandwhich was perfect. Pro tip: you can ask for the sandwiches to be heated up! As for the desserts: I really wanted a cake sweet treat but my eyes were bigger than my belly could handle. Even with the crowd, they kept the line moving and everything seemed very organized. I ordered a fruit croissant, a chocolate Napoleon, and a coffee. After I paid, my pastries were packed up right away, and within just a few minutes, my coffee was ready at the coffee counter. The whole process was quick and efficient. My friend spent a little extra time browsing all the pastry cases before finally making her selections and ordering a coffee as well. While we waited, we admired the beautiful cakes on display and talked about all the incredible-looking pastries. Honestly, I wish I could have ordered one of everything because that's what I really wanted to do! Pastries are one of my biggest weaknesses, and choosing just one or two items is never easy at a bakery like this. Everything looked delicious. In the end, I was very happy with my choices and enjoyed every bite. I even took the chocolate Napoleon home to share with my husband, and he happily helped me finish it. It was a tough choice between that and the pistachio, but honestly, you can't go wrong with either. From the first few bites, it hit the spot. The chocolate added just the right amount of sweetness, and the biscotti had a satisfying semi-crunchy texture without being too hard. Last year, (I waited that long) I sent Simone, the owner, a message on instagram to let her know I was frustrated about having trouble getting any of the crème puffs she was constantly advertising. They were one of my favorite pastries she made. (Obv not super important I just thought she may not know & what could it hurt giving her some input from a customer, she may know know?) In this message I also told her how long I'd been supporting her & why and how much I loved her bakery. She is black, female, and truly an artist and master at her craft. With a good personality, That being said; she unleashed her fury on me, one of the angriest most condescending messages I had ever read. Not sure if I caught her on a bad day or she just doesn't handle feedback well. I was stunned and disappointed. Either way, I would never consider stepping foot into her bakery ever again. Her window has maybe 5 things to choose from. It's pretty sad, but there were 2 items I love love loved, and I drove out of my way and paid top dollar for those items. She's by far one of the most expensive bakeries in St. Louis, but I enjoyed supporting her I thought she was great. And she has a moving story. Sadly she doesn't know how to handle customers or feedback. I'm in customer service, 30 years, that's not how you do it, I still think she's a cool Person but not enough to support her. We have a ton of fabulous bakeries here I'd rather go to like Nathaniel Reid or Russell's or MO baking co....

Honestly, if you judged it by the outside, you might drive right past it. There is one parking spot in front, and then a run down parking lot behind and to the side. The moment I walked in, I felt like I was back in my childhood. The lime green decor, the dark bakery display cases filled with buns, and the small plates of food inside reminded me of the Cantonese bakeries I grew up going to. They also had ready to go meals wrapped up to take home. We bought a bunch of things to try. We had the beef cheung fun, siu mai, BBQ pork baos, sesame balls, egg custard tarts, and one of my favorites, the giant round sponge cake. Everything was fresh and really tasty. The roast pork looked delicious too, with nice crispy skin. The biggest surprise for me was seeing lo po beng (Old Wife Cake). We can hardly ever find it on the East Coast, so whenever we do, we always buy some for my mom. Seeing it here made me so happy. I live in the Metro D.C. area, where we have some really good Cantonese bakeries, so I wasn't expecting much from this tiny place. But honestly, Wei Hong Bakery could definitely give many of the bakeries back home a run for their money. Don't let the outside fool you. If you're looking for authentic Cantonese bakery items in St. Louis, this little bakery is absolutely worth a visit. It brought back so many childhood memories, and I'd definitely stop again the next time I'm in town.
