Cafe Reveille Steiner is located near lower Haight. I was looking for a cafe and ended up here. It's a cool place to get some work done over coffee and light bites. Vibe here is a neighborhood cafe where people come to hangout or to work. Inside and outside seating is available. Shared seating is an option if you can't find a spot as many are simply working on their computers. During this visit I got a black coffee. It was ok and there was very interaction with the cashier. Although she seemed friendly. A single stall restroom is available in the back.

This place is always busy on the weekends so I figured I would stop by with friends and check it out. You order when you walk in, they give you a number, and then you find a table. The food came pretty fast considering we had 8 orders- my friends all got something different and said they enjoyed it! I got the yogurt bowl and it was great- good quality yogurt, yummy granola, and a good amount of fruit! Cafe Reveille is a solid neighborhood spot, I will definitely be back.

Very underwhelming latte. Even at first sip it tasted a bit watered down. Workers were all very nice and the vibes were pleasant but the coffee and pastries were a little underwhelming would like to come back and try again

Cute little coffee shop in the area. I stopped by and waited in a little line on the weekends. The coffee is just OK, I would say it's a little bit milkier than my liking. I just got an iced vanilla latte with oat milk. Their almond croissant was pretty good though, and I'd come back to try their other pastries

I won't lie, I was attracted to the pink exterior! Didn't know about this cafe and just happened to be on my walk to the park nearby. Got an iced matcha latte, it was okay but there was lots of seating inside and had an adorable vibe. Everyone around me was eating though, so maybe on my next trip I'll try their food!

I was looking for something light but filling for a quick lunch and found cafe reveille was near by. It was a Sunday afternoon, so it was a bit busy and very crowded. Luckily, I was taking my lunch to-go, but if you want to try dining in, they have indoor and outdoor seating. They have a very straight forward menu, which is nice for decision fatigue, but nothing really caught my eye so I just went with crunchy bowl and was pleasantly surprised. I didn't think I would like it, but really enjoyed all of the flavors. My sister got an açaí bowl which was good too. Service was slow, which is understandable because it was busy. A bit on the pricier side, but still good portions for me. Overall, enjoyed my experience and if I'm ever in the area won't hesitate to stop by.

Monday, 2pm I so love my avocado toast, ordered to go cause NetFlix is calling me home. Reveille is pretty popular so I usually avoid eating there, always a line & I've heard the service is slow. As there was a rain storm going on the place was only half full, no line, fast service. Yep, I'm a bit high maintenance when it comes to my toast. Made a point of asking for the bread to be toasted. I believe every cafe in town doesn't own a functioning toaster. Turns out same problem here, I don't get it. The Avocado Toast comes with a fried egg, I added a side of bacon. The large slice of artisanal bread was delicious. Egg cooked as ordered, (over medium instead of their sunny side up). The generous slices of avocado were perfectly ripe. Hear me out, the bread was 100% not toasted, not even a little. So call it an open face sandwich, not Toast. Rant over, the sandwich was delicious. I thought the rather fatty bacon was overcooked, others might say crispy perfection. Anyway, Cafe Reveille is destination worthy. Definitely will return.

One of Cafe Réveille's many great outposts in San Francisco! All of the city's Cafe Réveilles consistently impresses me with their great coffee, tasty food (including lots of vegetarian and gluten-free options), and top tier vibes, and this location is no exception. One of my friends is gluten-free, so this is one of our go-to locations for weekend coffee, but it's also a great place for a casual lunch or mid-workday coffee / remote work. The coffee is great -- not overly acidic, not overly nutty, but still quite flavorful and rich -- and they have some fantastic latte art. The staff is super friendly, and the space is lovely. It does get pretty crowded so it can be hard to find a spot to sit inside, but they do have a pretty large outdoor section too. The wifi doesn't quite reach the edges of the outdoor area, but you should be fine at one of the tables next to the cafe.

I came here on a weekend afternoon, and this small place was crowded both inside and outside by friends catching up with each other and people doing work. Although the place is small, the white walls and tables make the cafe more spacious. My friend and I got their Matcha Latte with oat milk to-go. We waited at the tables for our drink and got our drinks within 10 minutes. While I've sat down with food and drink at the cafe in the past, this was the first time I took a drink to-go. The presentation was nice, with the decorative design done with their creamer. Even though they mentioned using sweetner, the matcha latte did not have a strong matcha taste as I would have liked it to be. For an SF macha latte, I feel like the price point was average. I have tried other drinks like their mocha in the past, which I have enjoyed better. Otherwise, the cafe is in a prime location and a wonderful neighborhood to visit!

Cafe Reveille is a nice little spot close to Duboce Park- great for a morning pick me up on a sunny day in the city. While the Nutella Cornetto was a little jam packed for my taste, their great coffee balanced things out. Thanks Team Reveille!

This place is okay but I'm not quite sure I get the hype. It's very typical San Francisco chill coffee shop vibes with breakfast sandwiches and coffee. You order at the counter, seat yourself and clean up so nothing too out of the ordinary. The coffee and food is good but I generally think it's over priced for what you get since there's nothing overly outstanding about it. I'd recommend checking out Stable Cafe in the Mission if you're looking for something similar yet really good.

    Is the outdoor seating covered?

    not really...just some tree cover.

Are they open for indoor again? Also -- is this place more of a sit-down experience (with a server) or a cafe where you can order at the counter and find a spot? Thx!

You can sit inside and outside. You order at the counter and they bring your food to you (no server though, just delivery to the table you find)

The restaurant itself made a great first impression. It was clean, organized, and even had a nice little area set up for social media photos. Unfortunately, the food didn't live up to the presentation. I ordered the Mediterranean Bowl with Greek chicken. The chicken was dry, and it was obvious the seasoning had been sprinkled on after it was cooked instead of being cooked into the meat. I also ordered the Brussels sprouts and fried cauliflower. The Brussels sprouts looked perfectly crispy, which is exactly how they should have been, but they were soft and soggy instead. To make matters worse, the sauce was packed inside the same container, so the steam made them even soggier while also heating the small plastic sauce container inside. The fried cauliflower was equally disappointing. It looked crispy because of its golden brown color, but there wasn't a bit of crunch. Instead, it was oddly firm, almost al dente, making it feel more undercooked than fried. I also tried the garlic chicken soup, expecting something similar to Avgolemono. Instead, it was a thin, watered down broth with the same dry chicken pieces from the Mediterranean Bowl tossed in. The pita bread served with it was honestly the worst part of the meal and the only thing I threw away. Nothing was completely inedible, but for more than $60 worth of takeout, I expected food that matched the clean, inviting atmosphere of the restaurant. Sadly, this experience fell well short of that, and it's not a place I'll be returning to.

These add-ons cost an extra $8-$12, so when all is said and done you could be paying close to $40 for your salad after tax, which is a little bananas.
