Came in on 04/25 around early evening. Whoever they had working in the front made for quite an unpleasant first experience. Let's just say the customer service was pretty lackluster, maybe even nonexistent. The way he answered questions seemed like he was so uninterested in serving anyone. After we got our drinks and beignets, we got handed dirty plates stained with what seemed to be pizza(?). They had kids wandering around the store, and it seemed like they were babysitting while operating the café. Was very weird. I wish it was a better experience because the space seemed pretty and modern, and the drinks were decent. However, the guy's customer service was so off-putting that I don't have it in me to give it another try, nor recommend it to anyone. read more

We're visiting from San Diego and I'm always on a hunt for a great tasting vietnamese coffee and found this gem. The shop has a clean modern vibe, friendly service, and a nice mix of traditional and creative drinks. The salted coffee and egg coffee were both smooth, rich, and not overly sweet. Their fresh beignets were warm, fluffy, and paired perfectly with the drinks. Prices are reasonable, and the presentation feels premium for a casual café. Definitely worth stopping by if you're looking for a late-night coffee or dessert spot in OC. Definitely coming back here next time when we're in town again. read more

It was very busy when me and my mother arrived to get in line. It took us about roughly 13-15 minutes from our place outside the door to the front registry to be able to order. I ordered the hibiscus iced tea and my mother ordered an egg coffee. It took about several long minutes (7-10) since again, the place was very packed! But it gave me a nice opportunity to look around at the place, it was very clean and had a regal feel, I almost felt like I was back in Vietnam again with the atmosphere. The cashier was very nice and the employees were very understanding, even apologizing for the busy wait before handing us our drinks. The red Hibiscus Iced Tea was absolutely refreshing and aromatic, it was my first time having it and by the time that I did take a sip. Me and my mother tried ordering a second cup just to take home. It had bits of lychee inside that were good to eat after all the tea was gone, and as for the egg coffee. It was also pretty good, I couldn't taste much of the custardy egg foam, but the coffee definitely helped wake me up. The price wasn't all that harsh and given the opportunity, I would've loved to have come back to buy a pastry or two. It's been a few days but I still can't let go of the taste of the hibiscus iced tea, I've been craving it badly since I bought it. I would highly recommend it for people who want a refreshing, and aromatic, sweet tea! read more

I went in there this morning for the first time to try their coffee. I order a large salted coffee and pate & pork sandwich. Waited for 10 minutes before they call my number. Got to the counter and they gave me my coffee but no breads. They said breads are coming. Waited another 10 minutes, still no breads. I got up and walked out. Don't even care about it. 20 damn minutes waiting for breads??? Clown show. And the place got 2 customers order ahead of me. It wasn't even that crowded. Coffee wasn't that good either. Viland and Trung Nguyen are better. Wouldn't recommend this place even if they giving me a free coffee. read more

Coffee is good enough but tea needs to be improved for its taste. In general, drinks is ok and costs higher that its value. I think the owner should consider the size of all drinks, which is small in comparison with other places like that. read more

If I could leave 0 stars I would. I genuinely don't understand how this place is still in business. From the moment we walked in, the entire experience was a mess. The tables were visibly dirty and not just a little crumb here and there, but clearly not wiped down from previous customers. We had to stand there awkwardly waiting for someone to acknowledge us, which didn't happen. The service was unbelievably rude and dismissive. Our server acted like we were inconveniencing them just by being there. We were ignored for long stretches of time, and when we finally did get any attention, it was rushed and cold. It honestly felt like we were invisible unless they absolutely had to interact with us. On top of that, the wait time for food was ridiculous. We weren't ordering anything complicated, yet it took forever. Meanwhile, the staff seemed in no hurry whatsoever, which only made it more frustrating. Slow service is one thing, but slow and careless is another. The atmosphere didn't help either. The music was way too loud for a café as it was not relaxing, not enjoyable, just obnoxious. We could barely hear each other talk, which completely defeats the purpose of going out to sit and enjoy time together. And the coffee? Absolutely disgusting. I don't know how you mess up something so basic, but it tasted off and bitter in the worst way possible. Definitely not worth the wait or the price. Overall, this place managed to get every single thing wrong including rude service, dirty environment, long waits, terrible drinks, and zero attention to customers. I would not recommend this café to anyone and will definitely not be coming back. read more

The Cafe Muoi is delicious and strong, but I always find weird bits and pieces at the bottom of my cup. They're either clear and tasteless or white and taste like dua / coconut? Ambiance was good and the employees are always friendly, but the coffee issue is a bit of a turn off (+ very pricey). read more
