Came here for lunch with some friends yesterday, and it's so awesome to have a place like this in Miami! A big 'ol saucy pot of seafood - who doesn't love that? Three of us shared the boil with 1 lb shrimp, 1 lb snow crab and 2 lobster tails in their "Ultimate Sauce" (aka a mixture of their garlic butter and Cajun sauce). In addition to the seafood, this also comes with 5 pieces of sausage, two pieces of corn and 2 potatoes. It was VERY hearty and we even had leftovers. For dipping purposes, we ordered a side of their garlic butter bread - highly recommend! My mans ordered the shrimp po' boy, which was also a hearty portion and probably one of the better if not the best one I've seen/tasted in Miami. Only downside? You have to order fries on the side, but that portion is big enough to share as an appetizer. He also ordered the fried oysters, but they were just okay. Not bad, but not a repeat order. The service was friendly and quick once we were seated. Prior to that, we had to wait at the hostess stand for a few minutes before getting any sort of attention. With only two people working such a large restaurant, I can understand why. The major downfall of this restaurant is their location in Brickell. Same street as American Social, so there was absolutely no street parking. Plus, with all the one way streets and endless construction, we almost gave up before finding a spot about three blocks away. Consider public transportation, walking or ride sharing if you're close enough to have that as a viable option. read more

My husband and I were looking for a good seafood restaurant while in Miami. We did a lot of searching, reading and review look overs. After doing so and listening to the Chefs background and her reason for doing seafood and fusion together we decided on Cajun Boil. It was not very busy on the Sunday night we were there. So we were seated right away. Our server was very nice, explained the menu... we were excited. I ordered the 1/2 lb of snow crab with side of potato and broccoli. Sides were extra because I didn't order a combo. When asked what kind of sauce I said garlic butter. My husband ordered the Cajun jambalaya with noodles. He thought it was good but not blown away. When my snow crab arrived it was floating in the white watery gravy sauce that the server said was garlic butter. ...that was the garlic butter sauce? I tried a couple of bites and it was pretty tasteless. More like salty watery white gravy. I was very disappointed m. I was expecting snow crab with sides of garlic butter.. not gravy sauce. The sides were not cheap for one big potato cut in half and maybe 4 or 5 broccoli florets floating in this sauce that came with the dish. When I asked the server about this and told him I wanted to take home the dinner but asked him to dump the sauce out of it he explained that I should have asked for it dry. I think this was a huge overlook on the restaurant and servers part not to explain this difference.... It isn't how it is traditionally served. I realize this is supposed to be a fusion restaurant but not sure what this sauce was a fusion of. It was pretty pricey for the dinner we received. We will not be going back next time in Miami. If you decide to go please have them explain in detail your dish. But for service it was good. Okay inside but not a lot of ambiance. read more

This place exceeded my expectations and reminded me of home (Houston), where Asian-fusion crawfish is a huge deal! The service was great! My food came out FAST and HOT! Crawfish are good size and not tiny. I got the Ultimate sauce, which is a combo of the garlic butter and Cajun sauces--SO good I could drink it. Spicy is pretty spicy, your lips will tingle for sure. Very clean, spacious, practicing social distancing. Got happy hour drinks, buy 1 get 1. Everything was really delicious. The wings were crispy and juicy, well flavored. The crab fried rice had a lot of shrimp, crab, and was cooked perfectly. Volcano shrimp cooked to perfection. The biggest complaint though was that the crabs didn't have much meat. We told the server and his response was kind of like an oh well...the kind of crab you got doesn't have much meat but that isn't true. A very satisfying dining experience! We ordered set meal No. 4, plus half a dozen fresh and grilled oysters. The oysters we ate first made even my picky girlfriend praise her, saying she had never tasted such fresh oysters before. The shrimp's shell is soft and wrinkled up, so you know it's dead way earlier. The snow crab... the meat sticked to the shell too. Dead seafood. I can understand it in elsewhere but here is Miami. Amid covid. Overdue. My good friend was raving about this spot. It's like another Boiling Crab spot but just in the brickell area. They are recently new to the area, when I came here with my family we couldn't order drinks because the restaurant was pending on their alcohol license. But they allowed us to bring our own drinks ?? Lol never had to do that before which was funny but we did bring our own bottles to have with our food. Pretty simple pick what you like whether in combos or just a certain type of seafood. Pick the sauce from mild to hot. Pick some sides if you'd like. Put on your bib and gloves and prepare to get messy. Or challenge yourself not to make a mess. We were a group of 5 and I assumed one side (the lobster Mac and cheese) and the combo of seafood was not going to be enough for all of us but it also comes with sausages and potatoes so it was enough for all of us. It was out first time at Brickell florida and we wanted some crawfish. Luckily we were staying at the element in Brickell and the Cajun Boil hit the spot. I was super excited to try this place but it was honestly mediocre at best. The seafood boil had potential, it had flavor but lacked seasoning. It definitely looked better than it tasted. The oysters were EXTREMELY gritty. I couldn't really chew them without spitting out shells. The combination fried rice tasted really good once I got home and added my own seasonings but the person I came there with liked it in the restaurant. The calamari was probably the worst I've had. Really thin and lacked flavor. Everything was pretty blah. They had a mango smoothie that was pretty good. The worst part about everything though is that we couldn't enjoy our food due to the amount for flies and gnats surrounding our food. This place is awesome! Came to Miami for a cruise and was looking for a good seafood place on short notice for dinner since we came the night before our departure. Found this place on Yelp and decided to try it out as it was a short 5 min drive from our hotel and did not require reservations. There were 3 of us and we ordered the supreme cajun fried rice and seafood combo #2 with shrimp, crawfish and crab legs with potatoes as our side, and chose the ultimate sauce and spicy level. The food was absolutely delicious and the service was attentive and wonderful! We enjoyed the food and service at the restaurant so much that we came back to have the exact same food order when we got back from our cruise today! Tip: order fries and dip it in the sauce . We get the ULTIMATE sauce and we choose MILD as our spice level. Warning their Mild is already spicy enough so please be ware! It's funny. I am Cantonese from LA. We have good cajun restaurants in LA and we can get cheap lobsters and king carb from wholesale or markets in LA. We wanted to try something we never had from a "cajun restaurant". They have an item "king crab fried rice" No joke. Their Crab fried rice was good. I later found out the restaurant is ran by Cantonese. Most of them can speak Cantonese. This makes so much sense because Cantonese can fry good fried rice and Cantonese can cook good seafoods. Parking is very limited in the area and we parked a couple of blocks over in a structure. Walked in to no hostess up front. A large (loud) family, and a delivery driver were all waiting. Staff seemed to be trying to ignore us. Bartender was clicking on his phone and turned his back to us. One employee went and got a dust pan and started sweeping even though he saw us all waiting. Eventually after a few minutes the bartender put his phone down and sat us. Restaurant was pretty empty on a weekend late afternoon. Server was quick to get drinks (good beer options), but oddly came to take our order when one of the two of us was in the restroom. Ordered boil with shrimp, lobster and crab. It literally came out in just a few minutes, way too fast to actually have been cooked in real time. Shrimp were good, some pieces of the crab in the legs were cold, and one half of the lobster tail was "off" - suggesting each half was from two different lobsters. We ordered the butter and garlic and there was a thickening agent in it so it was more like gravy. Waiter did not immediately bring out pail, paper bowls, cracking tools, etc. we started to just eat on the paper table cover. After that he completely disappeared for the duration of the meal. At one point we got up and asked another server for the check, and she pointed to another male server and said, "there he is". When we said her that wasn't him, she literally walked away without saying anything. Upon leaving we walked by two servers standing at the front and they said nothing to us. Definitely did not feel welcome and the food wasn't good to justify coming back. We saw health code violations on their yelp site (not limited to this location) so makes me wonder about their storage of already cooked seafood. read more

The waitress we had was immaculate, the food was amazing. The waitress will always check up on you to make sure everything's going okay, filling up water, and giving her recommendations.
