I was very happy to find this place, thanks to a good friend. We checked in easily enough & were able to redeem the 20% discount with the Yelp check-in which was nice. The young man was not aware of the discount but he honored it anyways. The food came up quickly which was great because I was starving. It was a good temperature too. Not too hot & not too cool. We used to visit here fairly often Pre-pandemic. We liked the food. Post-pandemic I picked up a part time job nearby and would meet my wife here during my lunch break, especially since they participate in the Upside app discount. The last time I met my wife for lunch break, I sat at the table waiting for my food for over a half-hour, with no sign of it arriving. I was already past my allotted lunch break time, but they were kind enough to cancel and refund my money. Decided to give them another try, this time ordering ahead using their website. We made the order and the emailed receipt showed a $1.00 "platform fee", which was a bit of a surprise, because their website advertised no fee web ordering. I went in to pickup my order and asked about the fee. I was told it was a new fee for using the website. I understand restaurants are having a tough time staffing and keeping costs low for everyone, so a $1 fee for using the website sounds reasonable, but making it a surprise fee when their website advertises fee free ordering is a little too "bait and switch" or false advertising for me. As a consumer I don't feel customers should have to tolerate such antics, so I asked for a refund of the "platform fee". They refused and so they opted to cancel my order and refund my money instead. Sorry to say this place has just really gone down hill. They frequently seem understaffed and have a difficult getting orders out in a reasonable time. As a result the staff seems stressed and the customer service is below average. The food was still good, but I honestly can't see myself ever going here again. I hope they close up and a better business opens here so we have more options than just BBQ at this intersection (Rudys is across the street - which has also gone down hill). read more

The food wasn't good at all. The briskets were ok but a little dry. If it wasn't for the dipping steak sauce they would have been worse. The mixed diced meats in the BBQ sauce were actually good, surprisingly. For the sides, we had the greens, which were ok, the mac and cheese tasted pasty... no flavor at all, the mash potatoes and gravy were awful to the max, WTH?? The baked beans that were just ok and I'm not for sure if that was cornbread. LMAO!!! And lastly the peach cobbler was extremely awful. The worst!! A total waste of money. This place smells amazing when you walk in. Not sure how it's not super busy cuz the food is delicious. Definitely get the pork ribs. We ordered the Pete's combo plate. Perfect for a first visit so you can try all the hood things. I have to let you know that the butter mixture for the baked potato has dill and is one of the best things I have put on a potato. Also delicious on the jalapeño cornbread. Left with a lovely container for later snacking. The place is clean and the workers are happy and friendly. This place has a good selection of bbq. Their meats are very good, as I had the brisket and pulled pork. My friend got the sausage and that was mmmmm good as well. The bbq sauce they have on the side is also very good. The Mac and cheese was tasty. The green beans had a healthy feel to them, and still tasted good. The only thing would be the dinner roll, which didn't have much flavor to it. It's definitely a nice looking place on the inside. They have sports playing, a sauce section, and a fountain drink area. The bf had a Groupon for the bbq picnic .. he chose to stop by after work and pick up dinner.. on a Friday night they were able to get him in and out quickly. Staff was friendly and efficient, no hiccup or delays with processing the groupon.. food was packaged properly and wrapped in plastic wrap. It all arrived intact!! He opted for the brisket, great flavor, melt in your mouth tender.. pulled pork had a bit to much smoke flavor on its own but once paired with a roll and bbq sauce it was good, jalapinto beans had good flavor as did the garlic potatoes. Rolls were basic nothing fancy (they also have cornbread) Finished it off with warm blackberry cobbler. Overall a good dinner option.. This was my first time. I wasn't very happy with my first interaction with the two individuals taking orders. They were not very friendly or helpful. I ordered carnitas and the jalapeño beans to go. The dining room just was not very appealing to me. It took about 10 minutes to bet my food. I chose their regular barbecue sauce. The carnitas had good flavor but were fatty and with gristle. The jalapeño beans had great flavor but the beans were a bit tough. I would definitely go back and try something else. That would be my determining factor. Everyone has an off day. read more

My son and I stopped in last night after attending a car show. At first, I was a little concerned because there was a line and someone was upset about waiting for their order. I thought I'd be waiting forever for my food. When I was able to place my order, I found that there are a lot of options and was pleasantly surprised that there were healthy options at a bbq restaurant. The young lady who took my order was very pleasant and friendly. We grabbed our drinks and our food came out before we'd even found a table. (You place your order up front, then the staff brings it to the table.) My son loved his meal. I tasted a potato wedge and thought it was delish! He had a pulled pork sandwich with macaroni and cheese and potato wedges. I chose shredded bbq chicken, greens and carrots in a bowl. I ate about half last night and finished the rest today. I thought my food was really good! The peach cobbler was excellent. They offer a salad bar and tons of meat and side options, too. Best brisket baked potato in town!!! This is one of my favorite places and by far has the best baked potatoes I have had. The potatoes are perfect seasoned and the brisket is ALWAYS cooked to perfection. I have also tried their tri tip and the chicken they are really good but I'm a a brisket type of girl. The meats are amazing, not fatty or too smoky like some places but still very tender. Sides are numerous and tasty, you can choose between roll or cornbread and spicy or regular bbq sauce are provided and equally tasty to me. And to top it off they have the best staff, Aimee at the register is a sweetheart and I've had Tobias come out from the back and take time out of his day to visit with me and make me feel so welcome. Wow this place was a huge disappointment and overall just sucks! Definitely recommend everyone to go to the competitor across the street. I ordered online and when I went in to pick it up, the restaurant was completely empty and the 2 employees looked at me and just continued their conversation. Already a red flag but I had already paid online and spent over $30 with the tip (that they obviously did not deserve lol) soooo... I get home and open the plastic wrapped styrofoam To-Go box and my order was missing the ribs and bread. I called to complain and was told I can come back in to get the ribs and bread. I took a few bites and it's not even good. Super greasy and plain (only the beans were good). I called back to say the food is not good and I will not be back and requested a refund or at least a partial refund since half the food was missing in the first place! Although they were apologetic, I was told there is no manager on duty so they can't do any type of refund whatsoever!!!! Wth?!? But I'm welcome to come back in... ummm no thank you!!! The brisket was very lean and had a great smokey taste. I guess the liquid helped it taste a bit more moist, I would have preferred if the cut of brisket had more fat marbled in. Looks just like Johnsonville sausage you can get on Aisle 3 to me. NO SMOKE seen on not one piece. (1star penalty) I knocked another star off for the sides. That stovetop, a la Kraft creation...hated it. That and the lackluster baked beans were immediately thrown in the trash. Cook it on the stove then bake it people! Then the carrots. They were nicely cooked but glazed they were not. They were out of a few things like chopped brisket and baked potatoes. They did have sliced brisket so I went with that. It was a pretty good cut of beef. The flavor was good and the meat was juicy. We also ordered some ribs. They were terrible. They were not tender and you could not barely bite the meat off the bone. Some of the worst ribs we've ever had. The prices were a little high.
