    I was so surprised to find such an upscale restaurant in the middle of a residential neighborhood. We did not need to make a reservation and were seated right away on a week night. I imagine weekend nights are more crowded. We started off strong with the carpaccio. I've actually never had carpaccio before, so I can't say how good it was. I wish there were fewer toppings on it, honestly, because the meat seemed to be great quality and I wish I could taste it better. I got the gnocchi. It is still the summer menu, so this had a sweet, emulsified corn sauce with cherry tomatoes, some greens, and cheese. I didn't realize the sauce would be corn based (I thought it would have been corn kernels when ordering). It was good, but the corn does make it very sweet. All of the pasta is made in house. This gnocchi was really good, but I am a fan of very tender gnocchi, so I honestly wish that it was more tender. My dad got the ragu. This was probably the best thing we got. I am such a bolognese/ragu girl, but I was trying to be adventurous. I should've gone with my go-to order, though. I can tell they make the sauce with a lot of time and care. Finally, we got the affogato. The ice cream is hazelnut based. Delicious.

    This Italian restaurant has always been one of my go to spots. Very cozy and such a cute date night spot. Tables are very close to each other. If you are dining in around 7pm, the restaurant is super crowded and loud. You have to speak loud for your guests to hear you. They also have outdoor seating with fire pits to dine at. Outdoor seating is dog friendly. However, I normally prefer the 5-6:30pm time slots if you are sitting in doors. Keep in mind, spring/summer - it gets really hot in doors - there's no AC. As for food, everything is always food. We normally get the staple, pappardelle alla bolognese, however, we decided to order pasta dishes that are available on the spring menu. My favorite was the Paccheri - Italian sausage, fennel, roasted pistachio, pecorino. The espresso martini is always good too. Highly recommend. The Pici alla Gricia - guanciale, black pepper, pecorino - was ok, nothing special.

The steak ($58) came out medium despite requesting it medium rare. The meat was tough and the steak knife sawed through it like wet carpet. The worst part was the end. We were abruptly informed our time was up despite having not finished our entree. They offered to move us to the bar. We declined. The server brought the bill. Someone else told us to get up. We said we were paying. The server took the bill. The hostess came over and told us we had to get up NOW emphasis on NOW. More people checked on us in a span of 2 minutes than they did in two hours. I probably wouldn't go back. Dinner was $180 without dessert and if I felt like being rushed outta a restaurant I'd go somewhere trendy in New York where the attitude is merited by stars

    Perfect cute outdoor patio spot for a girls night! Every dish we got was so flavorful and rich - they're known for their pappardelle bolognese, but also adored the vongole, carbonara, and gnocchi. The gelato was also insanely creamy and true to flavor. Great house wines and cocktails as well and exceptional staff!

    We went with a big group for restaurant week (with a reservation). They were able to sit us in a semi-private area which was great for catching up! The whole staff was very accommodating! The food and wine were delicious (ESPECIALLY THE GELATO). The servers were friendly, helpful and patient. The whole night was very seamless and memorable!

    Stopped in for Seattle restaurant week with some guests visiting, and was a little weary based on mixed reviews but so glad we tried it!! Between the 4 of us, we tried everything on the tasting menu and everything was delicious. Pasta was fresh and well cooked. Ingredients were quality and for me the beet appetizer was a highlight! We so tried a few cocktails and they were all tasty and well priced. Ambiance was super cute, we were in a back room so the commonly mentioned noise wasn't an issue for us. Service was friendly, attentive, and well timed.

    This is such a wonderful little spot in Wallingford. Intimate and cozy date night option. Staff were welcoming and considerate on where we sat to ensure the best experience. The food was really good and reasonably priced. Appetizer: Polpette (meatballs on whipped potato) - highly recommend - so good. 4/5 stars Entrees: mushroom risotto was smoked like a mezcal. Most interesting and tasty risotto I've had in a long time. Leftovers were even better the next day! Tagliatelle was very light, simple, and filling. 4/5 stars. Dessert: zappole - Nutella stuffed. Warm, melting, sugary. Perfection. 5/5 stars. Don't recommend large groups above 4 people. Make a reservation ahead.

    Great Italian food in Seattle! For starters we ordered the focaccia and it was soft but honestly tasted more like cakey than bread. The pork was so tender and it falls right apart. The sweet sauce is a really good pairing with this! The pastas were all cooked really well. Everything was flavored well and each sauce was unique and different from each other. The finish off, we got the zeppoles which is fried dough with a nutella filling. The mascarpone was super light and it balanced out the heaviness of the dough! Loved this meal but the inside is very loud. It took away from the experience as I could barely hear the people at my own table even when we were shouting at each other.

The lobster meat was generous but the risotto was just alright. A bit bland and had huge chunks of tomato in it which was hard to eat. The food was overpriced and quality was average but not exceptional. I've been to other similar restaurants that have more affordable prices and better quality food. I really wanted to like this place, especially since it's in Pioneer Square but no go for me. This was a disappointing first time experience and definitely won't be coming back.

Unfortunately, it turned into one of the worst dining experiences I've had in a long time. I ordered the seafood linguine special, while my husband had the veal marsala. The seafood in my pasta immediately tasted off -- especially the clams and mussels, which seemed old and likely frozen for far too long. Even my toddler, who normally LOVES seafood pasta at Italian restaurants, refused to take a second bite after trying it. I enjoyed seafood pasta from many other places but could barely finish my food that day. Later that night, I developed severe abdominal pain. At 8 months pregnant, any cramping is terrifying, and I genuinely thought I might be going into labor. After hours of pain coming and going, bloating, gas, vomiting, and diarrhea the next day, it became pretty obvious the food was the cause. Ruined Mother's Day and caused unnecessary stress during pregnancy. I will never order seafood from here again.

Let me tell you, Lupo is high on my list of "Best 'Za In Seattle", and it will be on yours as well. The waiter told us something about how they're "fancy pizza but not stuck up" (not a direct quote), which fits right in with Seattle gastronomic philosophy. It's worth trying to get here early in the night, because it can be difficult to get a seat. And you want to have some time to sit down and enjoy this pizza. Make sure you wear your best sitting pants though, because you're in for a meal that will make you progressively adjust the belt loops as time goes on. I'm sure that there are plenty of top notch pizzas across the menu here, but the Caesar salad may have been a best-in-class item. The dressing was perfectly balanced with just enough anchovy taste, and there was exactly enough of it on every bite. Instead of having croutons in the salad, they had a heaping portion of toasted breadcrumbs that made each bite so much more interesting. Caesar himself would be proud. All of the pizzas sounded great, but I was pretty sure that they would be able to execute on a cacio e pepe flawlessly here, and I wasn't disappointed. The initial bite was everything that I could have hoped for. But I would make sure that you demolish this pizza promptly - it's not one that's great as leftovers. I think that is the case for most pizza of this style anyways. I am ridiculously excited about coming back to Lupo in the future to try more pizzas. If you are currently reading this and haven't been here yet, I strongly urge you to close this review and head there immediately!

We're usually the people who leave the crust behind but we ate every last bit and wanted more.

I didnt love the curb-appeal of this place from the street view, but once you walk in, it feels very cozy and warm, and i could even imagine some italian Nonnas rolling out pasta in the back. We started with drinks - the typical negroni for me and the girlfriend went with their Mauro option, which I believe is named after the original owner. My negroni was exactly what I was hoping for, but I honestly think the Mauro was better! Slight drink envy - no notes! Went we go to Itailan spots like this, we love getting an app or two, then splitting a pasta and pizza. We had to try their caprese salad as it is one of our favorites. They kept it simple which is always ideal with caprese - wide cut tomatos, single basil leaf on each, a touch of balsalmic/EVOO, and a thicccck slice of their buffalo mozzarella. The only issue i had was not enough balsamic - I love a heavy acid to cut through the EVOO and buffalo mozzarella. Their balsamic seemed to be reduced which is nice, but not enough 'bite' in my option. For mains, we split their Salsiccia Pizza and the Pappardelle. The pizza was great with one caveat - their marinara and sausage were super simple and super flavorful. My only issue was with the CRUST - not good at all, super soggy and did not hold up against gravity. For the Pappardelle, after mispronoucning this dish, i basically inhaled it. Wild boar for the protein and the pasta was clearly made in house. The kapers and kalamata olives really made this dish - brought out some brine-y brightness that balanced out the tomato based sauce perfectly. Our server was the epitomy of perfect - unobtrusive yet very aware when we needed something. I dont recall her name, but her photo is in other posts below! Cant wait to go back :) Side note, Mauro has a few cookbooks, which I believe has some receipes the restaurante uses - super cool!

We started with the Supplì al Telefono, a classic Roman street food made of fried risotto and mozzarella. The appetizer arrived piping hot, crispy on the outside, creamy on the inside, with perfectly melted cheese stretching with every bite. We loved them so much that we ordered a second round after our main course (possibly overeating, but absolutely worth it). For pizza, we went with the Funghi, which was incredibly flavorful. The combination of pecorino and fontina cheeses paired perfectly with the fresh mushrooms and arugula which I replaced in place of sausage. Also added Chili oil to the pizza to give it an extra kick! You can't leave an Italian restaurant without dessert, so we finished with the tiramisu. I usually prefer mine on the less-sweet side, and this one absolutely delivered. The balance of mascarpone and coffee was spot-on. It was also beautifully presented in an aesthetic cup, making it just as enjoyable to look at as it was to eat. All in all, Bar Del Corso has easily earned a spot on my list of favorite wood-fired pizza places in the Seattle area. Highly recommend and I'll definitely be back.

Beautiful and considered without being stiff or self-important. An Aperol Spritz to open, well made, and the evening was underway. They started with a complimentary amuse bouche, a small but meaningful gesture that signals a kitchen paying attention. Bread followed and it was exactly what good bread should be, fresh, rustic, full of flavor. Then the Salsa all'uovo con cavolo arrived. Rich, earthy, and deeply savory, with the bitterness of the cabbage playing beautifully against the velvety egg sauce. Sophisticated without being fussy. The pacing between courses was handled exceptionally well, something that matters more than most restaurants seem to realize. The cavatelli con spugnole landed next. Rich, perfectly balanced, the kind of pasta dish that reminds you why handmade matters. Then the Salsiccia di agnello in pasta sfoglia, a lamb sausage in puff pastry that walked the line between buttery and flaky on the outside and deeply savory and herbaceous within. Notably they served the jus on the side so you could add as needed without risking a soggy pastry. Thoughtful execution. On the wine side I put myself in the bartender's hands for a white and a red to pair across the meal. Both were spot on. Their Italian list is well curated with strong options by the glass. I was quite taken by the restaurant. It even hosts a wonderful view of downtown Seattle and a peak of the Puget Sound. The restaurant is small and intimate. This Italian-style restaurant served one of the best meals I had at the time. So when the opportunity to return came, I wanted to run there from my home. We were immediately shown to our table, and drinks arrived with little effort. One thing to watch for is that they offer sparkling water or tap water. It is easy to think of it as an option, but the sparkling water is a few bucks by the bottle. With four people, it is easy to go through a few bottles quickly - this is my weakness since I have replaced soda with sparkling water. We began with cheesy flat bread and baked goat cheese. The cheesy flatbread was amazing and delicious, and the baked goat cheese was out of this world. I can honestly say that I did not know what to expect, but the baked goat cheese with Taro chips was delightful. What is a trip to an Italian restaurant without a Caesar salad? I added grilled shrimp that were just wonderful as well. This Caesar had a creamy dressing, croutons, and shredded parmesan. The dressing was not overwhelming, but the croutons were a bit hard and difficult to chew. I would give it a B-. I had the PENNE SPECIALI ( mesquite-grilled chicken, spinach, tomato, mushrooms, white wine butter sauce). The description of this dish was better than the flavor. Salt is a flavor enhancer, but when you add it to the dish after it's been cooked, it's like lukewarm coffee - it's okay, but you would have preferred it hot. For dessert, I had the caramel, chocolate custard with chocolate sticks. This was heavenly, and I would eat 100 more. This is a dessert worth the wait, and I do not advise you to share because you will get less. It was the perfect finish. One secret restaurateurs must know is that ambiance, setting, and conversation enhance the food experience, but if the food does not complement the other parts of the experience, something is lost. This place has everything: the view, service, and dining intimacy. Why leave the main dish out of the experience? I want to want to come back like I did the first time I fell in love with "That's Amore."

The presentation alone sets the tone, ornate plates, warm wood tables, and candlelight that makes everything feel a little more intentional. The Caesar salad had crisp romaine, a creamy dressing that actually clings to the leaves, and a bold anchovy laid right on top. The warm focaccia was a special of the night with olive oil and balsamic. So soft inside! The soup was a quiet surprise, another special of the night. It was velvety, beautifully balanced, and finished with a swirl of bright green oil that added just enough herbaceous lift. It looked like something out of a cookbook and tasted even better. I was sad to take the last bite. It stole the show for me! The pasta dishes were a delight. One came coated in a bolognese sauce with a snowfall of cheese, I did not complain! The other studded with pancetta and peppedZ Comforting without being heavy. Just perfect. Altogether, the meal felt warm, intentional, and deeply satisfying. It was the kind of dinner that makes you want to linger at the table a little longer. Plus the service was exceptional and I really liked the idea of adding a 23% gratuity to the bill. It's a cozy spot for dinner. Service is leisurely but that gives you more time for catch up conversation over plenty of wine.
