    Egg Custard Buns
    Hannah B.

The dim sum here is decent, though not amazing. Ordered the Siu Mai, Ha Cheung (Shrimp Rice Noodle Roll), Bean Curd Roll, and Egg Custard Bun. All 4 dishes came to a total of $23.95. The Siu Mai here is decent. It had good flavor and plenty of meat filling. (4/5) The Ha Cheung is not bad. The shrimp was well seasoned and the noodle was kind of soft but wish it was softer. (3.5/5) The Bean Curd Roll was pretty good. It had a good amount of meat filling and vegetables. The sauce was savory but could have had more umami flavor. (4/5) The Egg Custard Bun was pretty good. When I ripped the bun in half, the egg filling spilled out, so be careful not to get it on your clothes! The egg filling was sweet, delicious, and you could taste the yolk flavor. The bun was soft but was kind of soggy. (4.5/5) The service was decent and pretty quick. They also sell 1-3 item combos ranging from $6-$10 which is pretty affordable. In addition to that, they have a Buy 2 get 1 free discount on their dim sum after 6pm. This place is a pretty old establishment and its interior also reflects that. It is located inside of a plaza with plenty of parking in the lot outside. Overall, the dim sum here is not bad, but I've definitely had better elsewhere. I'd recommend this place if you want a quick fix for some dim sum.

Ambiance: it's a takeout place located in a busy plaza, large shared parking lot with other restaurants Service: the cashier is very efficient, and placed the order very fast Food: classic dim sum and Cantonese style bbq Chiu Chow Fun Gor - *** steamed dumplings with thick skin Tangerine-Flavored Beef Balls - **** tender and flavorful, recommend Baked BBQ Pork Bun - *** average taste Black Sesame Ball - *** average White Sesame Ball - *** average Steamed Chicken Paws - *** average Beef Tripe with Sliced Peppers - **** crunchy and tasty, recommend Price: large portions and affordable prices, about $20 per order

    A restaurant I won't be retuning too.

Good luck getting your order in or acknowledged if you don't look or speak Chinese. I stood there trying to order but kept getting cut in line. Never again.

    Busy even though it's early

This is a very small dim sum parlor. I see some bad reviews but I will tell you what I tried. I got the Malay Goh and egg tart. Their steamed rice cake was not good. It was hard. I ordered 2x Malay Goh and white sugar steamed cake and it came out to almost $19. Prices have been insane. They don't sell plain Pineapple Bun. Everything had fillings which was surprising to me. I thought it was a staple? The Malay Goh was difficult to find but it was decent. I give it a 7 out of 10. I would come back here when I have my dim sum cravings.

    Receipt vs actual order

Watch out for charging errors! 2 out of 4 items were incorrectly charged. Charged for roast duck, but had roast pork ($3+ error) and ordered Chinese broccoli that I was told was a small order ($1 error). I guess cashier was calculating a tip for herself?? I should have checked before I left, but now I know this place can't be trusted to charge correctly.

The only way to eat their tendon is put it in a bowl of beef noodle soup. Hella not sauced
    Angela B.

I used to really like the tendon here a couple weeks ago, but this time it wasn't as sauced, so it felt like I was eating tendon from pho lol not that appetizing. Still tender but prolly pass.. $5.55? For 5 pieces and less sauce makes me a sad panda Eggplant this time was way sauced and overly sweet. Had to add some spinach to make it more edible. It was very similar to an orange chicken flavor, I didn't see any pork either, not sure if there was supposed to be any to begin with lol No chicken feet at 1pm. Tendon + eggplant ~$11

3 item combo: roast duck, roast pork, soy sauce chicken. Basically, no duck at all. Never again! Don't come here! Skimpy!
    Ricky S.

Never again! I understand it's the pandemic so times are difficult and challenging, but the prices here aren't cheap and the portions are terrible. I decided to grab something quick while I'm at the plaza and dim sum sounded so good. I picked up a few dim sum items. They tasted just ok, but I believe it was about $5 per order. I will need a fact check on this, but my 4 items came out to around $21. The portions were tiny compared to other dim sum places. I also saw the combo "deals" so I ordered 3 items: roast pork, roast duck, and soy sauce chicken. The pork was soggy, the chicken was tough, and I can't even give a review on the duck cause all they gave me were bones. Seriously??? There's basically thing to review. So I say, never again. I won't be coming here again and will be sharing with family and friends to stay away. There are plenty of other places to go. I hope the manager sees this review and do better next time.

Dim sum no more for moi

Wow I used to pop in for dimsum to go but Covid prices scared me away. The language barrier also makes it hard to order as the ladies behind the counter do not speak English.

Came here for lunch with my sister on a Saturday. Service - 10 stars. Fast, friendly, and attentive. Waited on and catered to by multiple staff members. Packed our leftovers for us. I'm not too boujee to pack my own! Simply appreciate the nice touch. Ambience - Awesome outdoor seating!! Very comfortably spaced out tables. Good - Solid. Didn't blow my mind but definitely solid taste and heavy on portions. Must order the salt and pepper tofu. Would return for the outdoor dining - a rare option in dim sum restaurants.

They ran out of Dim Sum before 7pm. No Sui Mai or Har Gow. Offered some gooey type of dumpling, not appetizing.

The dim sum variety is incredible--there are plenty of amazing beef, chicken, pork, and seafood options to choose from, and the service from the moving carts is fantastic. A few highlights from our meal: Shumai: Big, juicy, and packed with flavor. 4 orders Ham Sui Gok: Served warm and crispy--absolutely best dipped in the red chili sauce and hot mustard. Lobster Special: 2 lobsters cooked perfectly in a delicious ginger sauce. Seafood Hotpot: We tried this for the first time, and the combination of abalone, fish, and tofu was amazing. Egg Custard Pastry: We always end our meal with the yellow egg custard pastry. It's so light and flaky. It's the perfect atmosphere to just sit back, talk, and keep the dishes coming. The dim sum experience was average with the exception of the Chinese broccoli that was served cold. Usually they offer to warm it up but not today. I can let this go because I could've insisted. After our dim sum was served, I wanted to share the noodles that I ordered on a previous visit. I called the waiter & he took the order for #4 Fried Rice noodle, he repeated the order to me & then we waited. I told my friends, "don't worry, it'll be quick". Unfortunately we waited a while. We called the waiter again & inquired about our noodle order. He was taken aback in surprise. "Oh I'm sorry, I forgot, you should've reminded me". Oh boy, did he really just blame us for not reminding him about our order? This left a bad taste in my mouth. I really should've canceled it but decided to move forward. When we received our noodle order, it was downhill from there. As if we were forgotten. He returned when we finished eating the noodles and asked we needed a to go container. We all said "Yes". He forgot again. I went ahead & got up to get containers & plastic bags as one of the staff watched me do so. My Fellow Yelp Elites said they are leaving 1-2 star reviews, I cannot blame them. I'm embarrassed & disappointed. My patronage here is final.

Overview: convenient kiosk ordering, tough parking, delicious dim sum…read more ---- We decided to order some dim sum to-go and got the classic offerings of siu mai, har gow, cheung fun, chicken feet, pan fried turnip cake, ginger beef tripe, black bean pork short ribs, and egg tarts. Everything, and I mean everything, was so delicious. One of the best dim sum places I've been to. The pricing of the items ranged from $8-$10 per item we ordered which is expensive but as a treat every once in a while and for the amount of time and effort that goes into making dim sum, it was worth it. I've tried making dim sum at home and it is so hard! Pricing breakdown: $8 items: - har gow (4 pcs) - siu mai (4 pcs) - black bean spare rib - pan fried turnip cake - egg custard $9 items: - chicken feet $10 items: - shrimp rice noodle roll I think they no longer have the tripe on their menu anymore bc I couldn't find it on their online ordering. Also their chili oil was priced at $0.98, which was kind of small, I would do without it next time. ---- The parking was really tough, luckily I had another person with me drop me off then I ordered and then we double parked waiting for it to be finished. The inside of the restaurant felt like an elevated dim sum place, things were neat and a darker ambiance which felt more intimate if you decided to eat in. We took ours to-go and it was still so good! ---- Overall: if I'm ever back in Pasadena I'll be sure to stop by for dim sum, classic dishes with an elevated taste, pricey but worth it

Perfect family dim sum experience for us…read more We took out my parents and in-laws for dim sum: my parents' very first time ever. We did wait about an hour, but honestly I didn't mind at all because it gave us a chance to relax, talk, and catch up as a family. Once we were seated, my parents were immediately impressed with the decor: elegant and cultural without feeling overly modern or cold. And can we talk about the tea kettles? They looked like literal pieces of art being poured at the table. Ordering was super easy with the QR code system, so my husband handled the whole spread: shumai dumplings, chicken feet, sesame balls, and more. Everything came out hot, fresh, and beautifully plated. The ENTIRE table agreed on one thing: the chili oil condiment deserves to be sold in bottles to take home. It was that good. Smoky, just the right amount of spicy, and addictive. Now for the real test: my in-laws. They've been to *many* dim sum places and are not easily impressed. They declared this place to have the best chicken feet that they've ever had: meat easily sucked off the bone, melt-in-your-mouth tender, and perfectly seasoned. High praise coming from dim sum veterans. Most importantly, my parents' first dim sum experience couldn't have been better. They loved everything from the ambiance to the food to the overall experience. My husband and I want to come back to explore more of the menu because there's clearly so much more to try

The good part about the beef noodle soup was the beef chunks weren't too dry nor fatty. The noodles, however, didn't taste like the fresh hand pulled kind you'd find at other restaurants but rather the dried ones you can get at a supermarket (they tasted like the Quon Yick dry noodle). The broth isn't necessarily bland but I think it could have used more flavor. The soup dumplings had a generous filling, but there really weren't much flavors coming from the seasoning. It just tasted like pork and soup. The skin is a bit thicker than what I've seen at other places, but at least they didn't break. I wasn't a fan of the fried buns though. They were fried too crispy to a point that the skin was dry and crunchy and all the fluffiness was lost. Same with the soup dumplings, the filling could have used more flavor. The ones at Kang Kang Food Court would be the clear winner here. For the price, the portions are pretty fair. The menu is very limited, but it's very carb-focused, so it's not a great place if you're looking for alot of protein options. They don't really offer much in the vegetarian department.
