Second time here with my second car. In and out service and I love it. Plus the guys are super chill.

Came here for a smog ( Honda Civic ) and ask about a repair on my Suzuki XL7, unfortunately the car has been discontinued and is very difficult to source parts. Admittedly I wanted to do 2 u joints at the same time. The car in question has 300k + miles and to mikes credit he only wanted to do both at once. ( my own mechanic gave the same advice ) unfortunately only one I joint available in US at the time. Bottom line is, clean straight forward and is a honest mechanic. read more

Went to this place for my last oil change and Mikes son was very helpful and accommodating when I came in. I know absolutely nothing about cars as this was my first time ever having to get my oil changed. They offered to rotate my tires and he advised me about what kind of oil would be best for the price and I believe gave me a discount as well. They did $3,000 worth of maintenance items (125 K miles) on my Chevy Silverado. They did a great job and thoroughly explained and showed me all the items needed before hand. I can't say too much since my car had just a smog diagnosis there, but the guys down there seem very professional. They made a complete test, checking everything that could be bad, compared to the mechanic in the White Road Auto Service, who just tried a new O2 sensor, without success and said that it was the catalytic converter. At least this one didn't charged me for that, so I can't complain. At Capitol Auto Care, for $90 they tested everything, including the O2 sensor, that was found dead too. They work fast, even in a Saturday they started working in my car less than 30 min after I arrived. The prices are fair, same as you would pay somewhere else, but the quality seems to be high. read more

After checking yelp, and disregarding the 5 star biz because they pay for advertising, I found Capitol Auto care. I called, made an appointment for same day for a smog on my 1994 F150. Michael and his father were genuinely professional, friendly and i felt like I could trust them. It is rare these days to feel like you are in really good hands. I needed an oil change on my car, and the guy that use to do our oil changes moved out of town. So I decided to yelp some places around where I live, and I came across Capitol Auto Care. I gave them a call and spoke to Mike, he quoted me a price for my oil change which sounded reasonable for my car. From the moment I brought my car in Mike was just awesome, he was friendly and very helpful. when my car as done he called me to let me know that it was, and he was honest in letting me know that for the mileage on my car everything was fine and nothing had to be done at this time. Other body shops would try to squeeze money outta you anyway they can if you were first time customers, not here Capitol Auto Care. I really pleased with their work that I brought my moms car for an oil change today. I'm relieved that I found a place like this and how they treat their customers! This shop came highly recommended from a friend of mine. I called after getting a diagnoses and quote from another shop. I talked to Mike Sr (owner) and received a follow up call from his son when i gave them the details of my other quote. The awesome thing i learned from this is good business is still alive. Although I'm deciding that it is more money than it is worth to fix my car (2004 Mitsubishi Endeavor needs a new transfer case) the research and answer gave me an opportunity to make an educated decision that the other shop did not share with me. Im not a customer, and yet i was treated like a valued one by both Mike Sr, and Jr. . Definitely will do business with them and recommend them due to this five star customer service. I came across Capitol Auto Care on Yelp and since it was nearby my house, I decided to use their services. I called and Mike had answered. He asked about my car and even gave me a quota. He scheduled me for an appointment for later in the day. I had came and he abide by his quota and even gave me notice about my tires. They felt wobbly so he had checked it out for me. He said it would take an hour which it did so, I didn't have to wait any longer. Overall, Capitol Auto Care did a really good job on the oil change and they gave me a reminder of when to get my next oil change because the last place I went to didn't. Anyways, thanks Mike! This place is the best place to take your vehicle for any work you may need done on it. I have lived in the area for over ten years and I finally found them. They listen to you, are very polite and professional, reply promptly after diagnosing your vehicles maintenance needs, usually the same day. They explain in plain understandable language what needs to be done. My vehicle is usually done within a day or two. These guess know what they are doing. This is a very clean, professional automotive repair shop. The prices are reasonable. read more
