Carla's Café feels like stepping back into a simpler time--when fresh ingredients, homemade recipes, and genuine hospitality were the heart of every meal. In a world that moves fast, it's comforting to know there are still hidden gems like this that remind us how food is meant to taste: fresh, flavorful, and made with care. From the moment you walk in, you feel welcomed like family. Every bite reflects the kind of quality and attention that's becoming harder to find these days. Places like Carla's Café don't just serve food--they help brighten your day and give you a small moment to slow down and enjoy something real. Grateful to still have spots like this in our community. Easy 5 stars.

Carla's is located on the south side of town, right off of Union, south of Taft Hwy. The location is in fact owned by Carla. The small little place is a staple for the locals I. The area and has a homie/country feel. I would say it holds about 40'ish people. Carla's has a great menu and they'll probably make anything for you, when it comes to breakfast or lunch. You'll have to try the spicy Ruben or the biscuits and gravy, which comes in three different sizes, but almost anything else, regarding breakfast or lunch, is delicious. I don't think I've ever been served by anyone else, other than Carla. She is friendly and will help you with your decision if needed. It is a reasonably priced breakfast or lunch and definitely cooked to order. Need to take more photos but I've easily been here half a dozenish times, for breakfast and lunch, and can definitely say it's a great place.

Still continues to be one of my go to spots for breakfast it's always delicious, fresh and the service it's outstanding.

This is a great diner and reminds me of the many one-of-a-kind (because each has its own feel) diners along the east coast of the US. And with the term great diner comes the requirement for a solid breakfast. Yep, that's what I got here, a solid breakfast of scrambled eggs (scrambled and cooked just right), hash browns (tasty), bacon (crispy), white toast (toasted), and a nice cup of coffee. Service with a smile. I see why the locals come back for more.

The food was delicious and the service was friendly and attentive. I ordered the 2 eggs, country potatoes and pancake. My hubby got the linguica and eggs with hash browns.

Found this on a crazy whim running errands. We drove by about 3 times while our running around and it was packed, then empty, then packed again. Which told me people where coming in turns. So our final trip around we decided to stop. Best decision we made. Parking area is rough but being outside of town in a very farmy area it was expected. Now the inside is a tiny diner and had all the charm of a mom and pop diner. They were full but we were still able to sit at the bar. Coffee was delicious and the breakfast we chose was beyond expectations. You can see the cooks and you knew this was freshly prepped and cooked. We are definitely coming back.

This morning where a lifelong friend and I dined at this small nondescript restaurant on South Union in Greenfield. The interior was inviting, the food was amazing and the service was spot on in spite of a packed restaurant of locals by 8:00 AM. Carla's is highly recommended and we will definitely be going back in the near future!

If this place wasn't so far away from our house, it would be my new favorite place for breakfast. On the other hand, if it was closer I would probably be on my way to being over 300 pounds. Anyways, this place is a bit out of the way, but worth every extra mile to get there. The place is clean, cozy, and full of locals the staff knew by name. I can tell you the chicken fried steak is one of the best in town, plenty of gravy, good crunchy batter on the steak, and perfectly seasoned. Wife ordered the veggie breakfast burrito and added bacon and she said it was one of the best breakfast burritos from a sit down restaurant she has had. She did wish she would have asked for them to add some sautéed jalapenos as well. Service was kind and efficient. We will be making the trek over there again real soon..

Sometimes you just need simple food done right. That's what you get at Carla's Cafe. This hometown favorite on South Union just south of Taft Hwy, is great for either breakfast or lunch. You can generally find it filled with locals who know they get a good meal for a fair price. You won't leave hungry. My wife and I chose the Clubhouse sandwich, turkey, ham, bacon, mayo, and tomato served on white bread ($13.25). It's enormous. Carla put it on two plates for us with a healthy serving of fries (I don't know if you can use the term healthy next to fries, but I think you get my drift). This is one of those sandwiches that is simply too big to take a bite out of and keep it all together. But, I figure, that's why she gives us a fork. I had lemonade and the wife enjoyed a cup of tea. This is a place you can sit, chat and enjoy your meal. You really feel like you're around your neighbors and, well, you are.

Within 15 minutes, the entire restaurant was filled. I ordered the pozole and chile verde pork burrito to go. It took about 20 minutes, which is understandable with a full restaurant. Delicious, fresh, simple and clean. Love, love, love this pozole. $15.00 The chile verde pork burrito, which I ordered without any additional ingredients, is also delicious. Chunks of pork in a tasty chili verde sauce. Definitely enjoyed this burrito! Great customer service, delicious & fresh food! Definitely recommend and will return. Support small, local businesses!

It took a while to be approached by the staff and then luckily seated quickly because a table was miraculously open. But after that we rarely saw our waitress. Long waits in between ordering, receiving food, receiving check etc It was decorated lightly for Harry Potter over its regular decor which was confusing, but the waitress said the owner loved Harry Potter and it was his birthday. Can't argue with that, pop off dude. The food itself was good. I had a latte and a breakfast burrito with chile verde and fruit pancakes. The chile verde was the best part of the meal. Everything else was pretty average and typical for breakfast food. I did like their extensive menu and Mexican American flavors, it was a fun touch. I'm not sure I'll be back on a weekend, not worth the hassle. Would try on a weekday
