During work lunch hour, we were greeted by the friendly host and seated immediately. The server came by and took our beverages and I ordered the Rosemary Parmesan Wings with Seasoned Broccoli. While we wait, a different server came by with our drinks (with multiple refills) and provided us the nice, warm white bread and poured the olive oil in the little dish with the seasonings. It was very good and tasty of the oil mixing well with the herb seasonings which brought out the flavors of it and enhancing the bread. 1) Seasoned Broccoli - seasoned well however broccoli overcooked so it was bit soft 2) Rosemary Parm Wings - very tasty, crispy and the blend of the seasonings, herbs and cheese came together nicely Although it wasn't busy, it was good to spend a nice quiet lunch away from the work noise. I had a business dinner meeting at Carrabba's Italian Grill. Our server understood the assignment and came by to check on us at just the right times. I ordered steak cooked medium with garlic mashed potatoes and asparagus. I chose the Italian salad with balsamic dressing. The salad was fabulous and included peppers, tomatos, carrots, which I wasn't a fan of lol, red onion and olives. I was a little disappointed as my steak was cooked medium well, but it still tasted good. The mashed potatoes were creamy and the asparagus was a little soggy. In addition to the salad my second favorite item was the blackberry sangria. The presentation was nice and the sangria was sweet and fruity and went down smoothly. read more

Full disclosure: I worked at a Carrabba's in college many years ago - which either makes me the best or worst person to review them. Despite the original family being out of the management of the business these days, I still think they have a great menu and product that varies between solid and exceptional depending on the execution. This location still upholds the standards I know from so long ago. Great service. I feel badly for forgetting our server's name, but there seemed to be several longtime servers in this location who put a lot of care into their service of others. Drinks stayed full and we never needed anything for long. Really well executed food. Carrabba's filet is one of the best steaks you can get in a restaurant (trust me!) when they are cooked properly and mine was so so good. The ribeye is also a great option, but I didn't want the extra heaviness. Just don't get the sirloin unless you're on a budget - they're good at steaks, but there's only so much you can do with a sirloin. If you must, Marsala sauce helps Salads were fresh, pastas al dente and sauces just right. We'll be back soon when I'm tired of Christmas food. It was quiet and calm and I'm looking forward to some of their happy hour specials when I have more appetite. read more

We got seated almost immediately, got our drinks in a split second, and all the waiters were so nice and attentive! Delicious food, never disappoints. The Tuscan Bread Tower was so good, that we had to fight to get the best pieces since it was all gone under 5 minutes! I did forget to take pictures of the actual meals, but we got the Fettuccine Pasta Weesie and pasta! For dessert I got the Peach & Blackberry Crostata, which is so pretty and amazing. We stopped by for a late lunch around 3 on a Sunday afternoon. The restaurant was under 25% capacity. We waited a while for a host to seat us in the main dining room. Our server arrived quickly and took our drink and meal orders. A runner quickly arrived with bread and water. Later, another runner brought our drink orders. Then the wait began for the salads. 20 plus minutes later the salads finally arrived by another runner who dropped the salads and left. The meals arrived a few minutes later by another runner. The salads were cool and a bit soggy. The entrees were as expected but the whole experience was reduced by the long wait. read more

We were immediately seated and ordered beverages and the server brought bread with the drinks. The seasonal menu looked good, so we tried some new dishes. We started with the traditional soups. The minestrone was darker than usual, but the taste was great. The chicken soup was the norm with just a bit of a kick. The Cacio E Pepe jumbo ravioli with a side of honey glazed carrots made for a great entree. Not too heavy and a wonderful mix of flavors. The Rigatoni Al Forno with sausage was huge. Even a guy who eats giant portions had some left to go. It could easily be a dish to split. Then, the Chocolate Peanut Butter Brownie ~ can you think heavenly? It's like a layer of chocolate mousse, a layer of creamy peanut butter mousse with brownie on the bottom with walnut brittle and salted caramel sauce on top. It's so good, but so heavy that it's a definite 2 serving dessert. The servers were very attentive and frequently checking on drink refills. Have been to other Carrabba's, but first time here - very unimpressed. First tip should have been only a few diners, and it was around 7 pm. Most tables empty and staff standing around. ROACHES IN THE FOOD!!! Came here to celebrate my niece's birthday because it was one of her favorite places. As my sister dipped the bread in the seasoned oil, she jumped out of her seat because she saw a ROACH!!!! In the dipping oil!!! Not on the floor or on the table but in the dip! What a disgusting Health Violation! When the waiter saw how disgusted we were, he brought the manager over and he asked what happened. We told him about it, and he was barely apologetic, almost dismissive with an insincere apology. At that point we had already ordered our food and the whole time i kept wondering if there were more roaches around so it was hard to enjoy the food. We didn't make a big deal of it, didn't say that we should be discounted or anything but a good restaurant would have the decency to offer something complimentary or at least give some kind of discount for our disgusting inconvenience. I don't even have roaches in my house so I was disgusted! Needless to say we won't be returning! We went to Carrabba's last night. It was our first time going, we went around 8pm last night and it wasn't busy at all. My sister was a bit skeptical about it because she didn't think this chain restaurant would really have high quality food. Well she was wrong. Upon entering, I could already tell there was much more time and effort put into the restaurant, as the facilities were very nice and semi romantic feeling with the flowers and wine glasses. My brother also saw that they had wedding package dinners for $45 a person. We were sat down and asked what we would like to drink and even offered a taste of the wine. Then our server brought us bread with spices and poured olive oil over it, for us to dip the warm bread in. Then we ordered our food. We got the fried Zucchini as the appetizer, and we ordered 3 entrees that came with either soup or salad. My sister got the scallop & shrimp with linguine but subbed out the linguine for the fettuccine. My other siblings got the lobster ravioli, and chicken Marsala with spinach. They each got soup as well the tomato basil, chicken noodle, and lentil soup. All of the soups were great. The chicken noodle was much more exciting than plain old chicken noodle with vegetables, real chicken and more flavor. Everything was delicious but my favorite was the shrimp and scallop linguine a la vodka. The pasta was cooked perfectly! It was really good. The lobster raviolis were also pretty good. We totally took advantage of the $10 take home meals as well. Basically how it works is for each entree you can order any entree that is equal to the value of less and take it home for $10, so we ordered another shrimp and scallop pasta to take home and a fettuccine Alfredo. We DoorDashed 2 orders of Spaghetti with meatballs and sauce. They were delicious and largely portioned. We had Caesar Salad with it. Because we'd never been to a Carrabbas restaurant before we didn't know that we had a SMALL loaf of bread so we ordered the Tuscany Tower of BreadSticks. It was so garlicky that we couldn't even eat one piece, even if we tried to get it all off. So it was a waste. But our meals were delicious. read more

However, there are many locally owned small business Italian restaurants in the area whose food is better that I hadn't gone to Carrabbas in a long time. My wife had recieved a gift card as a present at work so we decided to go there for an inexpensive date night. My wife had the Fettuccine Alfredo and I had what I have always ordered at Carrabbas, Veal Marsala. My wife and I both enjoyed our dinners. The service was excellent. It just wasn't as good as some of the family owned businesses in the Saint Johns of Jacksonville areas. During the time of this visit they were doing a bring home meal for $10 of an equal or lesser priced meal. This is a great deal instead of brining home a doggie bag you could have the same meal or same priced meal for $10. BUT!!!!! On this day they were doing a BOGO Meal instead of $10. So we got 2 free meals to go with the gift card we had to pay for the meal. Not a bad date night but still like the family owned Italian restaurants better. read more

I noticed that the chicken portion on my linguine postiano wasn't what it should be. I took pictures to show you exactly what I got. I know everyone's in a rush to close for Thanksgiving and spend time with family, but I'm really disappointed that the portion of chicken I received wasn't as generous as It should've been. It should have been a good-sized (typically whole) chicken breast cut into strips across my linguine, but it was actually quite small compared to the amount of pasta. I eat this meal from you all quite often so I know exactly what I should be receiving. It doesn't even look anything like the picture advertised on your site. Surely this isn't the experience you want your customers to have. I'm both disappointed and dissatisfied with my experience. The Staff was Great! Professional and Friendly. The interior was nice, clean and comfortable. The food can use improvement. The Chicken Marsala sauce was not a quality Marsala sauce. The chicken used was a dry grilled small chicken breast simply covered with that poor excuse of a Marsala sauce. The complimentary bread was warm and soft, but not tasty.. If you must eat at a chain Italian Restaurant, Maggiano's or Olive Garden are better in my opinion. read more

My fiancé and I decided to get dinner out here, we wanted to do happy hour but unfortunately we didn't make it in time. The food we got was really good, we got the tomato caprese with fresh burrata, the classics combination and an order of truffle fries. we both got two drinks, I got the blackberry sangria and he got the new watermelon basil lemonade. We weren't fans of the calamari from the classics combination, the texture was a bit rubbery, but the mushrooms and mozzarella sticks were really good. I absolutely loved the Tomato Caprese - our server even brought out garlic bread for us to eat it with at no extra charge. The truffle fried were good, I personally prefer if they were more crispy, but still had good flavor. The place was pretty slow but it's nice spot to have a nice dinner at. For a chain restaurant, Carrabba's Italian Grill does a decent job presenting an Italian inspired menu. Carrabba's Italian Grill opened their first location back in 1986 in Houston, Texas and has since grown into an international company with hundreds of locations. This particular location is a nice addition to the southside of Jacksonville, Florida and was an overall good dining experience. The service was friendly and the ambiance was pleasant enough and gave us a pleasant place to dine. Carrabba's Italian Grill offered a nice menu and is varied enough so that almost everyone can find something to intrigue and delight them. I ended up going with the chicken parmesan and overall, it was a good meal. I would definitely recommend this particular location of Carrabba's Italian Grill and if you are in the southside of Jacksonville, Florida and looking for a good Italian inspired meal, this is an overall good location to head towards.
