Finally made the trip Central BBQ in Capital View recently and have mixed feelings about the place and food. If I could give percentages of a star I would put this location at a solid 3.25 stars and here is why... The layout is walk-up, counter order and then it is brought out to your table. Upon entry the counter was not staffed, but there was a child playing on an Ipad behind the counter. I honestly thought they were closed until staff walked from the kitchen and asked for my order. They have paper menus, but no menu boards, which would work way better and move things along a bit easier. They have several large screens behind the counter where they run photos of their food, this would be a great spot to have the menu digitally displayed. After looking at the menu we landed on the pulled pork sandwich with fries and the brisket plate with onion rings and mac & cheese. Pulled pork sandwich was loaded with meat and topped with sauce. The fries were not fresh and weirdly already soggy. They looked good and were seasoned well, but that did not translate too well to the plate. The brisket was sadly dry and chewy, even when drowned in sauce. The mac & cheese was decent, nothing special and the onion rings were nicely fried. I liked the small bun they added so I could make a slider out of a portion of brisket, this was the best way to eat it in my opinion as the meat alone was underwhelming. Sweet tea was delicious, as one would expect from a southern BBQ joint...so that was a positive! Additionally, their sauces were tasty as well. The meats definitely needed the sauce, so glad they had the variety. When you think anywhere near or in downtown you always think parking, and luckily they have ample street parking and a free lot in connection with the Publix next door. Big win! The place was clean and well kept. Loved the vibe, art and layout. They had a few college games on the TV, so no music was playing. I am hoping when TV's are not on with sound they have music, as they needed more energy in the place. Overall, not my favorite BBQ spot in Nashville. I am interested in giving them another shot and sampling a few more things on the menu, as it was fairly expansive.

Food: 3 Service: 5 Ambiance: 5 Great service and I love the space. It could be a great place for beers and Q but the food was so-so. I got the half ribs plate cause I love a good dry rub and it was bland and fatty. I couldn't finish it because the amount of fat was making me queasy. The greens and onion rings were decent, nothing that stands out though.

First time visiting the venue. Dined at the Capital View location on a whim. First thing that alarmed me is the venue didn't smell like BBQ. wtf Service was ok. Cashier didn't know they sold chicken quarters ... Food arrived quickly. We ordered quarter BBQ chicken and brisket platters. Chicken was overcooked and dry. Had no flavor before we added sauce. Brisket was decent. Onion rings were good. Bathroom was clean, but out of paper towels. Doubt I'd return.

Delicious Memphis style bbq! It is a casual dining spot, walk up to the counter and order and then they bring the food to your table. We tried the brisket tacos, chicken sandwich and the ribs. My husband is picky with ribs and he said they were great! The brisket was also delicious. All their sauce options are really good too and you can purchase bottles to take home

The person who took my order ROSSHA was incredibly rude. Hard to enjoy your food when the person taking your order and serving your food has a terrible attitude.

The service was wonderful, everyone was super friendly and attentive. The food was delicious. Great atmosphere. We had the sausage and cheese plate, pulled pork tacos, loaded potato bites, and a beef brisket sandwich. All were fantastic. We had fun trying all of the sauces. Great experience! I came here with a group attending a conference where this was offered as an extra curricular activity called Beer, Bourbon & BBQ Adventure. I'm not sure if what we had was actually offered on the menu. We all received a sample platter of pulled BBQ chicken, pulled pork, brisket, mac & cheese, baked beans and potato salad. The service and attention was excellent. They offered several different sauces to use on the different meats. As backyard BBQ pitmaster, I thought the chicken was very moist and good, but lacked a smoky flavor. It went well with the sweet heat BBQ sauce. The pulled pork I really wanted to like, but it was so dry, I could believe it may have been sitting out for a while. Some of it was almost unchewable. The brisket wasn't sliced. They cornered off a 1/4 of brisket and you needed to cut it yourself into slices. They offered a bun, but wasn't worth making a sandwich. The brisket itself was good, had a slight smoke ring and was tender, but not spectalular. I also tried the sides which were all very good. That platter was certainly filling, but could have been a bit better. The sauces were very good, though.

Pulled chicken just ok. Worst ribs we have ever tasted: too spicy, dried out & charburned.

Best wings in Nashville. We got the sweet heat and honey bbq mixed together. Also split the bbq nachos and those were great. 5/5

The bar has two hidden TVs that you can only see when you sit at the bar, which is such a cool touch. It keeps the space feeling upscale without sacrificing the ability to catch a game. The overall ambiance is great, and the music is always at the perfect volume for an easy conversation. The drinks have been consistently excellent. We've tried both cocktails and wine, and everything has been delicious. The wine is a little overpriced in our opinion, but it was so good that I'm glad we still ordered it! On our most recent visit, we started with the burrata. It was very good, but I do wish there had been more sauce and more cantaloupe. The sauce felt more like an accent than something that really tied the dish together. That said, the perfect bite was definitely the burrata with the prosciutto and cantaloupe! For our entrees, Jonathan ordered the pork chop, and I had the piri piri chicken. Both came with broccolini and patatas bravas. I was expecting traditional Spanish-style patatas bravas, so when whole baby potatoes showed up, I was initially a little disappointed. Don't let that fool you, though--these potatoes were incredible!!! Crispy on the outside, perfectly cooked on the inside, and packed with flavor! They ended up being one of my favorite parts of the meal! My piri piri chicken was fantastic! The portion was much larger than I expected, and the piri piri sauce served on the side was absolutely lick-the-plate good. I found myself dipping the potatoes and broccolini in it because it was just that delicious. Piri piri isn't something you come across often in Nashville, and The Finch absolutely nails it--and at a really reasonable price. Jonathan's pork chop was cooked perfectly with great flavor. It wasn't an over-the-top, show-stopping dish, but for around $30--including both sides--at a more upscale restaurant, it's hard to beat the value. One more recommendation: get the volcano rock shrimp. We had it on a previous visit, and we still talk about it! It's easily one of our favorite dishes we've had here. The Finch has been consistently good every time we've visited, and that's what keeps bringing us back! Great food, great drinks, a fun atmosphere, and solid value for the quality. We'll definitely be back again!

We came here for late dinner, 8.30 and this place was not packed which is very surprising, bc they play music jazz music, and you can have a lovely dinner and still hear ppl talk. But the best thing is their pork chop !!! This is a must get. Thank me later. We got the pork chop medium well bc we like our pork more cooked bc ain't no one trying to get salmonella from undercooked pork. But it was sooo good, has a nice char on the outside, and perfectly seasoned. Additionally, it sits on top of a bed of allegedly "rice" according to our server. But to me, it reminded me of a tendon brisket texture. I would've bet money on it too. But delicious with sweet peach sauce that came with it. For the prime rib, it was a huge cut of meat, but it was lacking flavor, needed some more salt and some rosemary to bring out the meat. Both main dishes can serve 2 people each, so worth the price and food. Definitely come back! And a shout out to our server Cole, who was great

For the table, we ordered the nachos (didn't add chicken) and surprisingly it was pretty good! I would have liked for the toppings to be spread out amongst the chips (once you get to the middle, bottom they were empty). For my drink, I decided to try their bridesmaid's tears and this drink was just ok. It watered down very easily and didn't really have much flavor. I ordered the catfish and subbed fries instead of the grits and it came with collard greens. This meal was ok but the catfish wasn't fried hard (as I requested) and the greens were too vinegar based. The fries, however, were good! The sauce they offered - crawfish cream sauce - was way too oily and didn't have good flavor. Would've preferred a tartar sauce, though. Overall, the spot was ok. We had read somewhere that Acme Feed & Seed (in an historic 1890 building) offered a quieter alternative. We gathered around a nice table near the stage on the first floor, and maybe there were a dozen other people there? Yet, on the next Broadway block things were in full swing? We weren't complaining, but wondered why? The first floor at Acme has been described as a high-energy "Funky Tonk" atmosphere featuring a main stage for live music, a large bar, and fast-casual dining. Our band during our stage was even a little different than that, and what an enjoyable group is was! The Mudbug Stompers brought us the sounds of old-time jug bands, Dixieland jazz, blues, trains, baseball, and crawfish boils. Although this is a Nashville Band, we could have easy been on or around Bourbon Street in NOLA. I was particularly impressed with the trumpet player and the lead singer who played a mean mandolin. Add the string base, sax, and fiddle, and we experienced a very impressive whole. We were highly entertained and engaged, and we're still talking about the experience!
