Where do I even begin? I've been looking for the best Neapolitan style pizza in the Bay Area for months now... I've been to Il Casaro in SF, Lucia's in Berkeley, Doppio Zero (SF and MV), Pizza Napoletana in MV and many other places and alas - I've found the best one!!! The dough is just perfection. It's not too thin, crisp and charred on the outside yet it's chewy and springy when you pull it. Just amazing. How can a dough be so many things at the same time? The tomatoes are not acidic at all and is slightly sweet. I've tried 3 pizzas so far - Sapore, Centro and Diavola. Diavola is definitely my fave! Scrumptious and spreadable nduja sausage was just perfect. Centro is a close second for me because I've never had a pizza topped with guanciale. Besides the amazing food, service is also on point. Servers and hosts are friendly, and Francesco is very warm and hospitable. Highly recommend this place!!! read more

Randomly picked Centro Pizza for the first time and I'm so glad I did! The pizza was exactly how I like it! Crispy crust with lots of fresh toppings! Excellent! Also ordered the Beet Salad!! Excellent! Perfect combo with the pizza. I would definitely return and try more items on the menu. Don't pass on Centro Pizza they are making delicious food over here. Enjoy. read more

Phenomenal authentic Napoli style pizza. Perfect char, awesome fresh ingredients. And great vibe inside. Note: This is NOT new york pizza. Centro pizza has the best Neapolitan style pizza in Burlingame. The crust and cornicione is truly crunchy yet soft and fluffy. I don't think this place is AVPN but it is up there in quality. The ingredients are top notch and the pizziaolo knows what he's doing - our pies get beautiful leopard spotting melted cheese. As a true neapolitan pizza (and not a Brooklyn-style Neapolitan pizza as served at other places) expect a limper bottom crust and easier digestibility than other pizza joints in town. If I had any reservations or hesitations about this place it is that there are a bit too many toppings and sauce compared to the best in Naples, where they let the dough shine a bit more, though i suspect that is an accommodation of American expectations around how heavily topped a pizza is. Even though we live a couple blocks from Burlingame ave we will make the trek up to broadway to get pizza from Centro, it's worth it. read more

4-4.5 stars but rounding up. This was the best neapolitan pizza I've had in a while. It was busy at 7:15pm on a Sunday, but there were some tables opening up. I opted for a bar seat to watch them make the pizzas. They have 10 different pizzas to choose from, at least one daily special pizza, and a few salads, antipasti, and dessert options. According to their menu, their pizzaiolo, Francesco, came all the way from Naples. I ended up trying: -Margherita (Tomato, Mozzarella, Basil, Olive Oil, $13 + $5 DOP Buffalo Mozzerella, https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=_mdhTFOfKHJ_TbyTWkYlJg&userid=76vIFZcC7owykCBjMfGVXg): Yum! The flavor of the tomato sauce was delicious, but it was a little too watery. They also needed to add more basil since there were only 3 leaves on the entire pizza. If you decide to sit at the bar area (like I did), you can watch them make the pizzas, and they also have a couple of large screen TVs with local sports games on. I will definitely be back to try more of their pizzas, and their charcuterie board also looked delicious. Parking can be difficult here but there are a few parking lots available. read more

This place makes some great pizza pie. I came here with my wife for "data night" and we split a salad and pizza for dinner, which was just enough food for us. Diavola: 4/5. This has tomato, mozzarella, Calabrese 'NDUJA sausage, and basil. The crust was one of the best I have had on the peninsula and I really enjoyed the toppings. Everything was flavorful and fresh. One of the best pizza places I've been to in peninsula. Friendly staff fast service and super clean. The quality of the dough is fluffy and not heavy at all. The ingredient are very fresh and they use the right amount of toppings just so satisfying. The Margherita pizza was very delicious a must try. Very close to authentic pizza you try in Italy. My new favorite pizza spot in Burlingame! I am a huge fan of neapolitan pizza, and their margherita was absolutely perfect! The crust was spongey and fluffy, and it was perfectly cooked in the brick oven. My friend and I came on a Sunday night and it was poppin! The place was packed but we were luckily able to get a small table for two. It's located in a very quiet Burlingame downtown area, but parking is pretty available. I ordered the margherita pizza and my friend got the marinara. The staff told us it would be a 30 minute wait for pizza, which we appreciated them telling us in advance. We actually didn't end up waiting 30 minutes, more like 20?! The pizzas were the perfect size for one, and the crust was super chewy and soft. The margherita was simple but just the way I liked it. Surprisingly, I liked the marinara even more, since it had lots of yummy garlic. TLDR, come here if you get the chance! The pizza is amazing! read more

10/10 delish. We stopped in Burlingame after having an afternoon to wait around on catching our flight. Looked up Yelp reviews and decided to try this place. It's in a cute area with a few little shops and other restaurants around. We were lucky to snag a table right before 6pm, as it then formed a line outside of folks waiting to get in. We had the Pomodoro Bruschetta and ordered the Pizza Sapore (amazing). Everyone was raving about the crust on previous reviews, and boy were they right! Light and fluffy with a little crispiness on the bottom. SO good! Not sure why I would ever be back in Burlingame, CA......but if I was this would be a stop FOR SURE. read more

I've been to this place a few times before COVID and it was wonderful. The last two Saturdays I went back and sat outside on the patio, the food and service are as good as ever, maybe even better! A new place pizza on broadway and it does not disappoint. They have really cute decor inside and love the big fire brick oven that you can see exactly your pizza bing made. They are really quick at getting it to you. I ordered the prosciutto and pork pizza to go and they were fantastic. Very well made. They only two negatives are you, you have to come in and place the order to go and that the pizza on gets a little too burned. Otherwise I'll be back here again. read more

Man, lucky to have this spot in Broadway- Burlingame! Best pizza I've had - reminds me of Tony's in SF. We had the meatball and the margarita. They we're both incredible! A star has been born tonight - this place is going to make Broadway a cool neighborhood all on its own. Come and try this spot - amazing. So I'm new to the area and I ordered my favorite pizza from this local spot (Centro) that has 4.5 stars. Sadly, I was left underwhelmed and disappointed. I was definitely not satisfied with my Margherita pizza. I have never had Margherita pizza with one single basil leaf. What I received was basically a 20.00 cheese pizza. It was just alright. The vibe is good, service was friendly. The pizza was just ok. The pork jowl was an interesting topping so went with that pizza. It was just poorly executed in just one big piece in the middle that was poorly cut. It woulda been better cut into smaller pieces spread over the pizza. I don't know if it was because it was one big piece , but the jowl was really really tough. I couldn't even eat it. Just had to take it off the pizza because I couldn't bite into it. I tried to cut it with a knife and it was also impossible. Sad. The tomatoes and capers on the pizza were good though. I'd maybe give it another shot in a few months. Maybe I came at a bad time. Best pizza in Burlingame/Hillsborough, hands down. Amazing wood fire oven, Neapolitan style. Certified by me, born and raised in Italy. Diavola is great. Ao close to five stars! Maybe because the pizza I ordered had a lot of toppings (Capricciosa ) the crust was undercooked. It was so thin and it really was cooked perfectly at the crust end. It was not just soggy though, it was doughy. Toppings were amazing - literally 90 more seconds in the oven and I am sure it would have been perfection!! Next time I will try the Margarita - and request a "well done" pizza. read more

We finally went to Centro Pizza again after the first time. This time we really like the place and will go more often from now on. It's one of the few places that offer Neapolitan pizza and does a great job with it - the crust was as fresh and chewy as last time, and the ingredients were fresh and of reasonable portion. The service is very good. Friendly, courteous, and efficient. I wish they would add buffalo wings and have more selections with meat like Hawaiian (ham and pineapple) etc.. Highly recommended especially if you like Neapolitan pizza as much as we do. read more

My coffee came right away and it is good coffee. And I was told its Crepevine's own branded coffee, organic blend. My Thai crepe came not too long after. It usually comes with both peanut sauce and pesto. But I don't like pesto (and what does that have to do with Thai anyway?) so I asked for it to be prepared with just the peanut sauce. Unfortunately, that got lost and what I was served came with no sauces at all in the crepe. They were happy to take it back and have it re-done and it came out and a short time later with the peanut sauce inside ... and was nice and hot -- and delicious! The side salad that comes with the crepe usually has balsamic vinaigrette but I noticed that one of the menu items is a Thai Salad so, in keeping with the theme, I asked if they could put the dressing for that salad on my side salad and they said no problem, and it was very good -- a lemongrass dressing. The home potatoes were decent although I like mine well done with crispy edges, which these weren't, so I'd probably ask for that next time. And, btw, the value for the money is really good -- they give you A LOT of food! I actually couldn't finish everything on the plate. That all said, I don't think I'll come here on a regular basis, don't live nearby, but I'll definitely come back again, maybe when I have a guest in town -- it was a good meal at a good price and with excellent service and atmosphere, and the few minor problems I had were solved very quickly and efficiently, so 5 stars well deserved.

We had dinner here last night. The pizzas we ordered we delicious. Lots of choices to get a pie with just the ingredients you want. I am vegan and had the pizza with red sauce and mushrooms. The mushrooms were fantastic. Very flavorful. Vegan cheese was available, but to my taste, not necessary. I could not eat all of my pie and it was almost as good cold today as it was yesterday. My husband enjoyed his pepperoni pizza. Our server, Parker was perfect. Efficient and professional. The restaurant is lovely. I ordered the pesto pizza and was disappointed. The sun dried tomatoes are unbearably salty, and there is zero evidence of cashews or pine nuts in that pesto. No way. There are no nuts in there. The crust was nice and the employees there were nice and friendly and that's why I'm giving it 3 stars but won't be ordering this pizza again.
