    Dog with whip cream
    Brian T.

New tea chain that opened up in this busy San Gabriel plaza. Open late night which is great for hanging out. Indoor and outdoor seating. Refreshing drinks. Nice service and even gave my dog whipped cream on the side! The mango chili uses real mango for that sweet natural mango flavor. The ceylon cha latte comes with a thick whip cream and nuts on it. Tea was good. Would come back if I'm craving a late night drink. They also have ice cream and pastries here!

6/25/26 Sri Lanka Ceylon cha latte with oat milk-- surprisingly good!

6/25/26 I was really excited & rearing to go in.... Entered the doors and was told, "We open at 11". I figured it was an open door that they were. Would've passed the chance coz time is money but J figured J will take my business elsewhere but decided to return. J walked over to Kee Wah. When I returned, it was starting to pick up already. My less than warm reception was not impressive. The young man at the counter did not greet me and I may have startled him when I loudly said "Hi! Good morning!" as I stood there waiting for him to acknowledge the presence of a customer. If anything, I value these interactions & it didn't bode well. Ambiance is modern, clean, even the single stall restroom was clean and furnished for comfort. Music is extremely loud, not much for conversation if you would like to stay to enjoy your beverage with a friend, unless you relish shouting over each other. Perhaps it's only geared for the younger crowd. I ordered the HOT Sri Lanka Ceylon Cha Latte with oat (extra $0.75 for the oat milk)--- the only reason I'm giving it a 3 star rating. This beverage was actually very good. Not many beverages are made hot here (silly me, I thought tea & coffee are traditionally served hot vs. cold). The house cream made it palatable & the crunchy nut bits were a pleasant surprise. This is newly opened in the TAWA Gateway plaza, with many businesses sharing the lot, which I'm fairly certain will be packed in peak hours. The experience was lackluster as it was not the most welcoming atmosphere from the staff but at least I gave it a try.

Visited Cha Redefine with my lovely wife during their grand opening and it's just like the other locations I've been to. They're pretty big and have plenty of tables around. The cafe is very clean and big, free parking in a large parking lot as well. They share same plaza with two other boba shops and are close to popular restaurants as well, perfect spot to get some drinks after a meal. My go to drinks here are the matcha tornado and the Osmanthus drinks as well. All are refreshing to drink especially on a warmer day. This spot doesn't seem like a spot to hangout with friends as they don't have big tables. More of a grab and go type cafe. CRF is known for their higher quality drinks so I'm very happy to have another boba spot added to an already packed SGV.

Of course I had to visit the newest Cha Redefine location. This location is pretty much the same as the one in Arcadia. The shop has a clean, minimalist aesthetic. There is minimal seating inside, so it seems better for a grab-and-go experience rather than hanging out for a while. The menu has many creative drinks and a decent variety of drinks to choose from. I really like the chappuccino and cha latte drinks, whereas my husband really likes the ceremonial matcha grade drinks. Their drinks do lean towards the sweeter end though, so I prefer to get half sweetness here. Although there is no self-order kiosk, they do have online ordering through Toast and a loyalty program. The store opens until 1 am everyday, making it the perfect boba spot for late-night visits. Plenty of parking, including underground level parking, is available in the shared plaza.

Came here around 11pm and line was packed!! Who knew there was 50% off drinks late night Mango Mango: 8/10, good refreshing summer drink Super crowded inside but there's a cute photobooth! Good amount of seating to chit chat while waiting for drinks.

    Leesuh W.

Matcha Matcha 5/5 (good if you like matcha) Mango mango 5/5 (50% sweet is just right) Mango Passion Chill 4/5 (25% sweet is still a bit sweet) Almond Croissant 5/5 (only if it is baked fresh) Service 5/5! My overall experience has been good! However, their bakery goods are not good if you come in the late afternoon or evening. They're either cold or too hard to eat. I would recommend their almond croissant, but get it when they open or early afternoon - otherwise it's a waste of your money.

    Sri Lanka Ceylon Cha Latte
    Peggy S.

I really like how many interesting drink options there are at this location. I ended up getting the Sri Lanka Ceylon Cha Latte. Great tea taste and the whipped cream topping added a nice foaminess. The pecan had a nice crunch to it. The service was quick, even though the store was pretty crowded. There was plenty of seating but it felt like most people were waiting for their drinks. The shop was large and felt well lit. The parking lot was in a huge complex with other stores so it was easy to find parking.

I had a good experience at Cha Redefine (San Gabriel). I ordered the Sri Lanka Ceylon Cha Latte ($7.50 - Large - 75% Sweet - Less Ice). It's Sri Lanka Ceylon Black Tea, Milk, Whipped Cream, and Honey Roasted Pecans. I enjoyed the prominent fresh tea flavor, but it all tasted like a SUGAR explosion. It's VERY sweet. (Important: Cash is not accepted. Bring Card or Contactless Payment. Also, this location uses a gimmick where customers receive a FREE Fragrance Card if they show a Yelp Review; practice caution when checking the reviews. I vehemently dislike these gimmicks.) I arrived at Cha Redefine (San Gabriel) on Tuesday (around 11:13AM). Parking is easy. The main lot is very big. Also, there's extra underground parking whenever it's busy. Customers must order at the counter; there's no self-service kiosk. Staff (receipt says Yuhang) is very welcoming, friendly, and diligent. Yuhang happily answered all my questions, and Yuhang moved purposefully. There was no line, but the drink arrived very slowly. I waited about 13 minutes for one drink. As mentioned, I ordered the Sri Lanka Ceylon Cha Latte ($7.50 - Large - 75% Sweet - Less Ice). I had loved this same drink at the Rowland Heights location, so I chose it again. However, San Gabriel made it very sugary. The crisp, fresh tea flavor was almost masked by all the sugar. If searching for a dessert, this is a good option. The ingredients tasted fresh and well-intentioned. On ambiance, Cha Redefine (San Gabriel) is clean, well-ventilated, and a little loud. Lively Pop Music echoed everywhere. There's about seven round tables, and there's about eight electrical outlets. Also, I appreciated the gender neutral restroom in the corner. The location is popular with a steady flow of customers. Overall, I appreciated Cha Redefine (San Gabriel). It's a good option for tea; however; there's also many amazing, alternative nearby choices. Still, I sipped with a small smile. 4.4 out of 5

So happy this Cha Redefine is open closer to my house! The drinks are solid and still as consistent as their other locations. Where to start? There are so many good options, no matter what I am craving or who I am with, I feel this place has it all. There are refreshing drinks like fruit teas (peach oolong!), lattes (Sri Lanka!), matcha (blueberry oat matcha), and also heavier or non caffeinated drinks (coco melon!). There are so many other flavors that are good or that I haven't even tried. I normally get 70% sugar at most places but I'll get 50% here for things without toppings. I was also impressed with the service especially during the times they had their promotions. The line moves, the ordering process is easy (friendly staff) and the drinks come out faster than expected. I am not sure if they are still experimenting with their hours but we got to hangout there till almost 1am on Friday night. The spot is decorated with a modern simple chic feel while there is a free photobooth that gives the place a little extra splash of fun! I'll have to try the food and gelato next time.

This Cha Redefine is in the TAWA Getaway plaza with 99 Ranch Market and Daiso. This Cha Redefine is near the ends of Marugame Udon and Wushiland Boba. Right now, they may/may not have a line due to it being freshly opened. They have so many pastries and they also have gelato. This place is the ONLY place that has gelato for Cha Redefine. In addition, they have a cute little photo booth on the left side near the restrooms. The service was great and they finished the drinks promptly. I like their Coco Lemon Longan with the refreshing lemon and longan taste. In addition, this was the time where they had BOGO on all drinks! I would recommend this to any Boba lover and anyone who loves a great place to hang out! TIP: There's ample parking and a restroom. The restroom is gender neutral! Right now til 6/18, they will do a late night special with their drinks as 50% off.

I'm so happy to see that one of my favorite tea shops is now open in the SGV! They have an amazing selection of delicious drinks, and I highly recommend the mango mango if it's your first time at CHA redefine! The drink is filled with fresh mangoes! I also love that they have seasonal drinks that rotate, so it's always fun to see which drink will pop up next. This time, they have a Longan Coconut series, and the Coco Longan Lemon is so refreshing. You can taste the real coconut water! This location also serves really good gelato. My kid loved the coconut gelato, she was literally screaming for more! I've also had their pastries, and for a boba shop, they have a VERY flakey, buttery and TASTY croissant! Like... you'd never think to get it, but it's AMAZING! Love the vibes, love the drinks, and can't wait to try more!

    Spacious lounge waiting area.

It's time to REDEFINE our life with boba cha. Without further ado, let's begin this tea-rrific review. :D lol Cha Redefine is a popular boba brand in the SGV. It's a high quality brand that offer high quality boba drinks. This new location is at Valle blvd adjacent to the Hilton hotel. They just opened about a week ago, and everything is brand new from the aesthetic decor to the electronic menu board. Cha Redefine is known for their top 10 drinks. My default drink is the Mango Mango boba! It's freshly made purée mango. Staff were nice and competent. Drinks and pastry are priced fairly well. Store is spacious and neat. Plenty of parking since it's in a large plaza. Overall, it's a nice spot to grab a boba drink. I recommend it.

The latest new addition from Cha Redefine. Solid drinks as always but a few pros/cons to consider: + Pros: Nice setting with plenty of spacing, ample parking in the Focus Plaza lot, plenty of restaurants near or in the Plaza to make it a worthwhile stop + Cons: even on a slow Wednesday night, they were backlogged by a large number of food delivery app orders (which you can see on the waitlist TV screen). Probably spent 10 to 15mins just waiting for a basic drink. The worse part is that they don't announce numbers when your drink is ready and ordering from the counter doesn't give you a text notification so it requires you to pay attention on the screen on your own to see when your drink is ready. Also the weird layout doesn't give a ton of seating so plan on grab and go. Net net, service can use improvement but the drinks are solid like the other locations.

6/7/2026 BLACK…read moreTRUFFLE MUSHROOM DANISH The danish croissant had beautiful laminated, buttery, crispy layers. The béchamel was a bit clunky in texture. Good amount of black truffle flavor. Mushrooms weren't overly mushy and good flavor and texture. Gruyère cheese brought a lovely salty, cheesy flavor. Overall, okay, but not great. Arugula wilts and it was tough to eat after I reheated it in the toaster oven. I was advised to reheat the danish in the toaster oven before consuming, which I did. DUBAI PISTACHIO CHOCOLATE CROISSANT Rich and very pistachio-forward flavor! This was done well! Tasted like dubai chocolate in croissant form. However, the croissant was not as crispy and was on the softer side. Crispy kataifi on top brought that crispy texture. Savory unsweetened pistachio custard. The sweetness came from the chocolate drizzle over the croissant and the kataifi. Overall, enjoyed it! CHOCOLATE PECAN PRESSED CROISSANT Crispy, crunchy, flaky, buttery, caramelized layers! It does remind you of a flattened more crispier, buttery palmier and maybe even a mille feuille! The plain pressed croissant tasted like caramelized sugar with a buttery flakiness from the croissant. The chocolate pecan side was delicious with dark chocolate and crunchy pecans on top of that buttery, flaky, crispy pressed croissant! Recommend! 8 PCS ASSORTED MINI CHOUX SET You choose what flavors you want. I chose the following. Black Sesame Hoijicha - Strong hojicha flavor right off the bat! I barely taste the black sesame, except when you eat the black sesame paste at the top of the cream puff. When you bite into the whole cream puff, you only get the hojicha flavor. Very good and if you're a hojicha lover, you won't regret getting this! Taro Salted Egg Yolk - A new flavor that was added recently. You can taste the taro on top and the salted egg yolk on the bottom when eaten separately. But when eaten together, depending on where your tongue hits, you get more taro or salted yolk. Choux pastry is crunchy. This was delicious and definitely a repeat order too! I asked the owner and they will continue with this new flavor for now. They did not have the Koyamaen Matcha, when I purchased it via HotPlate. They ran out of it when I went to pick-up at the bakery, so they offered a refund or to replace with another mini choux. They brought back the Maple Pecan with Dark Chocolate Coating as a temporary replacement for the Koyamaen Matcha. But I opted for another Taro Salted Egg Yolk. Classic 64% Chocolate, Lemon Delight, Signature Biscoff Crunch were my other mini choux orders. All consistently delicious and done well. Please see my previous review on these flavors. RASPBERRY, ROSE & LYCHEE CROIFFIN This new edition was not part of Hotplate. I had to order it separately in-store. But wow, this was absolutely delightful! The cream had a pink color with swirls of raspberry compote and there were pieces of real lychee inside! The rose flavor was not overpowering, but complemented both the raspberry cream. The croiffin was flaky, crispy and buttery! This is my new favorite, very good and well done! I will continue to order this as long as it is available! JAPANESE BLACK SESAME CREAM TOP Love all things black sesame. So had to order this! This took a bit of wait time, much longer than expected. This was a simple latte style iced coffee with black sesame cream top. You can taste the coffee, but there was also milk in it, so it was a milkier coffee. Once you mix the black sesame cream top, all you can taste is the black sesame. So yes, it is a strong black sesame flavor in this drink. It was good, but not great to order for the second time. ONLINE ORDER Ordered via Hotplate.com. This has been the easiest way to order and pick-up. Super easy and not fussy at all! Once you order once via Hotplate.com, they give you the option for drop alerts via text when Browned goes live for future orders. You can also order directly via website as well. Make sure you have your confirmation email and order number ready for pick-up. CUSTOMER SERVICE Excellent service! They forgot to give me part of my online order and immediately called me and texted me making sure I won't leave without it! The owner and patisserie chef apologized, yet so relieved I did not leave without my order. She was so sweet and kind! I chatted with her as she was packing up my order. INDOOR + OUTDOOR SEATING AVAILABLE No seats for large groups. PARKING Free parking is available at The One Residential in basement P1. You can see Browned straight ahead as you arrive from the parking elevator. Personally, I recommend street parking. If you arrive before noon, there is free street parking right outside of The One Residential. It is much easier to drive out and also the parking garage is very small, dark and very narrow to drive through.

It is a bakery from Macau that focuses on crispy cream puffs that aren't too sweet. They come in unique flavors like Earl Grey, green tea, blueberry, and Dong Ding Oolong. I grabbed their six piece cream puff set for my first visit, as I wanted to try out more flavors at once. Luckily for me, I got some of the last few items as the owner explained that they tend to sell out. The puffs run a bit smaller than what you might expect from other competitors; however, it didn't deter me. The spot does not have a lot of seating aside from a few barstools, so you might have to plan for that. Once I got my cream puffs, the texture is what got me. The crispy outside gives a nice crunch when you bite in, then you get hit with soft cream filling that is "not too sweet". With clean flavors that come out without any artificial aftertaste, I really enjoyed what I had. The owner comes from Hong Kong as she used to run a bakery there as well before this. If you have the chance to talk with her you'll see how much she loves what she does. She lit up when asked about the flavors and shared a couple quick stories about her time there. Super friendly. Overall, I left happy and already thinking about when I should visit next. If you have been searching for a cream puff done a little differently, try Browned. You'll be surprised.

Not to mention their croissants are flaky, warm, and tasty. The staff are incredible. Kind, quick, and likeable. I always feel at home when I walk in. And whether I grab my fix on my way to work or I sit for hours doing work on my laptop, I never get tired of this place. The music that plays makes the whole place feel cozy. The decor is super cute and I love their commitment to their community seen in the flyers posted around of different public events and community outreach. This is truly the best spot in the neighborhood.

The coffee shop started at farmers markets and now the shop has the current brick-and-mortar location. [Parking]: There is a free parking structure behind the plaza so parking shouldn't be an issue; however, I did have to drive up to the third level of the structure to find an available parking spot on Saturday morning. [Amenity]: Not a huge coffee house with few outdoor chairs and six indoor tables. The shop was not crowded at 10 AM on Saturday, so it didn't take long for me to receive my order. There is no restroom inside the cafe, but keys for the outdoor men's and women's restrooms are available at the cashier counter. [Menu]: Unlike other matcha shops, this coffee house offers three different varieties of ceremonial-grade matcha (Kagoshima, Chiran, or Asanoka) from Fukuoka, Japan for customers to pick. Yelp's top three highlighted drinks are Furious George, Dear Jasmine, and Luxurious George. Please note that 2% lactose-free milk is the default and customers also need to choose one of two espresso options for lattes: light-medium roast (Manhattan - Ethiopia & Colombia) or medium-dark roast (Vietnam). For baked goods, they offer muffins and croissants & I even spotted an interesting items like kimchi & spam croissant. *** Furious George (2 shots of espresso, sweetened with cane sugar, flavored with vanilla and banana balanced by milk (2% Lactose Free, 100% Sweet, Regular, Regular Hot, Manhattan Blend Med-Light espresso - $7.75): A lightly sweetened solid latte. *** A good coffee shop for local community college students from East Los Angeles College (ELAC) to stop by and recharge.

My go to order is their pandan coffee with oat milk 75% sweetness. If I'm in the mood for something sweet, I'll add a slice of the pandan mochi (or go to Baking with Ish). Lynn is always friendly and so passionate about her business. I love that she makes her pandan syrup from scratch. You can definitely taste the difference compared to other coffee shops. Her pandan coffee is very fresh and strong, it always helps me stay awake. I will always support and tell people about Lotus & Bean!

I tried their Matcha Pandan Bliss. I love the taste because i can really drink out of the really Pandan in the drink and not syrup. Their price is a very fair and worth of trying yourself! I happened to meet the owner there and asked her what makes your Matcha so special and she said she used the finest Premium Organic Matcha in her drinks so customers can taste the difference of the real quality ingredients in the drink. I hardly see out there any coffee or tea shop put so much thoughts for their drinks. This owner really cares not just her business but the quality she puts in the ingredients in her drinks! Their Strawberry Coffee is very delicious too with the little kicks of fruits inside and gives a cool tasteful strawberry favor! Dont believe in me! Go try it yourself and definitely you will give a 5 stars! Not only that , it was a long line but they service very fast ! I love it! We come here when we go visit my mom in San Gabriel! Thanks the owner for so thoughtful and a good service to their clients. Look at the line, especially on a weekend is packed and longline but good thing they service is very fast

The matcha is so creamy and earthy on the top and when mixed with the latte it's perfection! Let me tell you about their bakery goods...they are definitely one-of-a-kind pastries that will revitalize your taste buds! I never had a strawberry green matcha mochi scone and it was divine! This is definitely something I don't know how to make and I'm willing to splurge on this particular item because it's such a complex pastry to perfect. It's not too sweet and the strawberry cream on top adds the right balance to the entire scone. I definitely need to try all their other unique pastries! Staff was friendly and service was prompt. There is a restroom in the back of the cafe and several small tables inside to chill with your friends or work. Shaded parking is in the structure and there were plenty of clean spots available. I do wish they had an outdoor shaded seating area but there isn't room out front as it's a walking path.

The interior space was cozy and inviting, making it a great place to get some work done or simply enjoy a sweet treat. The staff were also very friendly and efficient, and my drink was ready within minutes. Earl Grey Matcha: 3/5 The Earl Grey Matcha was decent, but the flavors were much more subtle than I expected. Both the Earl Grey and matcha notes were fairly muted, and the drink tasted predominantly milky. While I appreciated that it wasn't overly sweet, I wished there were more of the distinctive floral bergamot notes from the Earl Grey. A bolder matcha flavor would have also helped create better balance and depth. Matcha Strawberry Mochi Scone: 5/5 The Matcha Strawberry Mochi Scone was absolutely fantastic. It was soft, moist, and gooey on the inside with beautifully crisp edges that added a wonderful contrast in texture. The mochi provided the perfect amount of chewiness in each bite, and the strawberry cream was light and refreshing, balancing the subtle earthiness of the matcha beautifully. The combination of flavors and textures made this the standout item of my visit. Re:Bakesic definitely impressed me with its cozy atmosphere and creative pastry selection. While the drinks have room for improvement, the Matcha Strawberry Mochi Scone alone is worth a visit. I'll definitely be back to try more of their pastries and seasonal offerings!

The coco cloud tasted delicious and tasted strong but the effects of it weren't strong. I feel like I didn't get the caffeine I needed from it, kinda felt like the energy I would get from boba milk tea, hence the four stars. The guava hojicha was also decent, the guava cream top had a fragrant guava flavor. When combined, it tasted extra roasty/grassy. The talam ubi tasted interesting. It had a jelly like texture and was a combination between slightly sweet and salty. It had an egg yolk flavor and a coconut cream flavor. Service was excellent. There is some seating inside the coffee shop! Parking is also located in the back parking structure.
