Walked up to the counter and ordered a hot masala chai with non-dairy milk and it was served piping hot (just how I like it!) and with two Parle-G biscuits. The masala chai was delicious and hit just right and the kicker was that it was made with non-dairy milk! It can be tough to replicate with non-dairy milk so I was impressed. The interior is cute with some traditional décor and cultural music playing in the background; definitely elevates the authentic experience. Been here twice now. Both times got the cardamon chai. There are different levels of chai and this one is mild or medium - cannot recall but it tastes so yummy and authentic. Highly recommend. There are other drinks here that I would come back to check out. Though I didn't look closely to the menu, there was a party there who looked like they were have a tea time of sorts which I would be interested in trying as well. Awesome new addition to Old Towne Orange. It took over the old Pie Hole. Chaiwale & Co gives the cafe more vibrance and greenery. There are plenty of seating areas inside and outside of the cafe. Only small downside is they don't have AC so there are a couple of fans blasting air to keep customers cool. Nonetheless, the baked goods from here are very unique and tasty. We got a Mango Lassi Cheesecake to share. The cheesecake is $7 and a bit small. They do drizzle Mango Lassi syrup over the cheesecake to enhance the flavor. It was really good. The texture of the cheesecake was great and pairs really well with the syrup. We loved it. We honestly can't wait to come back to try their other items and their savory goods. A big congratulations to the proprietors of Chaiwale and Co. for the opening of this new coffee spot in the City of Orange. I visited for the first time this morning and was very pleasantly surprised to see and experience this comfortable establishment to enjoy a hot beverage. On this occasion, I ordered a simple cup of coffee and was pleasantly surprised that my request for coffee with creme was served with frothed milk. This combination with the good quality of coffee made it very appealing. I ordered a breakfast burrito to have along with the coffee which was very hot (temperature) and hit the spot. I'm picky with my chai. I take my chai very seriously and this was the best outside chai I've had and my husband and family agree. The karak was awesome. Also gotta give them props for the chai cup size. This is how chai should be enjoyed. They literally make each cup after you order it so no premade mixes and no percolator chai served here. They're crafting their drinks so carefully and man everything looked awesome. We'll totally be back. The rolls and samosey looked awesome as well as the Rooh Afza matcha. Will be back with friends. And yes... it's chai, not chai tea :) I tried their masala chai with almond milk - really concentrated and can tell that they make it there. They advised the chai is already lightly sweetened in the making. It's not overly sweet and just a tad enough to enjoy. In the cold weather, get yourself a cup of chai and enjoy it there. They have some sofa chairs and tables. I see some people being very comfortable there, hanging out for girls time, playing some games that they also provide... Seems like they have a lot of regulars. I'll start by saying that this is the first review I've ever written, but the customer service was so awful, I just had to write it. Came here and ordered Masala Chai, knafeh brownie, gulab jamun cheesecake, samosas, tandoori chicken burrito, butter chicken burrito, and the chutney sandwich. Cha was mid. Food was just okay overall. Samosas were some of the worst I've ever had. Gulab jamun cheesecake was good. But the customer service was the worst part of this experience. The guy behind the register was extremely rude and demeaning. We asked if they have decaf cha for my mom who can't tolerate caffeine and the guy scoffed and said cha doesn't come decaf, which first of all is not true and second, was such a rude way to respond. My mom then asked about the badam milk and the guy scoffed again saying it was a children's drink, so she didn't order anything. My brother went back to order a few more things and when he asked how big the sandwich was, the guy laughed and said "a sandwich is a sandwich", like lol what?? They also made us come to get most of our items. The table was dirty and when asked if it could be cleared off, I was told okay very rudely and then the request was ignored. The dirty plates from the previous people stayed there as our orders kept coming out. As someone who has worked in the food service industry, I go out of my way to make sure I treat people behind the counter with kindness and respect, so to be treated so disrespectfully was such a disappointing experience. Will not be recommending this to anyone. read more

I left feeling scammed and they didn't even apologize. I got Eventbrite tickets to reserve a table and receive complimentary tea. I expected my 17 dollar event brite ticket to be all that would be billed for how ever at the end I received a bill for 59$ unexpectedly. I never got a menu that explained what was going to cost 40 dollars and what was complimentary. Had I known what I was going to be charged I would have used that money to go to a buffet. I was so upset and sad. Through out the whole experience I was never made aware of the cost of the food until the end. Is that even legal? My friend and I really enjoyed coming here. There are so many delicious-looking items that it took us a while to decide and look at the menu. The folks at the register were so nice and offered information, help with choosing, and answered all of our questions. In the end, my friend got the saffron chai with oat milk, I got the karak chai with whole milk, and we split the butter chicken burrito, mango lassi cheesecake, masala chai scone, and mango milk cake. Everything was very good. My friend really enjoyed her saffron chai with oat milk, and my karak chai was delicious. My favorite dessert items were the mango ones. I think I just prefer the mango flavors, and they were nice and moist. The masala chai scone had great flavor but was very dry, as my friend and I have noted a lot of scones in general to be. I think the butter chicken burrito could have been spicier, but I do have a higher spice love and tolerance than the average person.
