Don't even bother coming here. Very rude- the worst customer service I've ever experienced and the food is awful. I asked the guy behind the cashier who was taking our order what he would recommend and he laughed at me and said "Isn't it obvious? It's the masala chai obviously." Whenever I asked a question about the menu, he looked annoyed and sighed each time. When I found a table, I asked the waitress if she could clean the table but she gave me a look and walked away. We sat on the table with dirty dishes from the previous people who sat on our table until we had to tell them again to please pick up the dirty dishes that weren't ours. As if the service wasn't already bad, the food also did not make up for it. The butter chicken and tandoori chicken burritos sounded good but they were super dry and unflavorful. The masala chai was not "obviously" the best choice because I've made better chai at home in my kitchen. Very annoyed that I wasted time at this place, especially because of the service. Do better and please act more professionally by treating people with respect. read more

First time visiting and I'd definitely return again. I've been looking for a legit chai spot. I haven't found one since I lived in NYC. Service was great. Woman (sorry forgot to ask her name) was very friendly and described differences between the two chai that I wondering about. The menu was extensive and offered oat and almond milk for us non-dairy customers. I ordered a 12oz masala chai and a slice of rose pistachio loaf. Chaiwale is such a great neighborhood spot in Orange! The chai is fantastic, and the staff are incredibly kind and friendly. So a definite shout-out to Dilip, Anmol, Tej, Jess, Kai, and Evette, who are all amazing! On the food menu, the butter chicken and tandoori chicken fusion burritos are really good. It's a nice place to come with friends or by yourself, especially at night with the outdoor seating and SoCal weather. It's open extra late on weekends, too. I came here upon recommendation from my cousin who used to attend the university. Upon coming in you're greeted by the smell of spices and cinnamon. This place did not meet expectations. The decor was pretty. But I was disappointed with the chai , it tastes very watery and has No spice at all. Samosas were good and hot. I was in at 8:30am and the loaves in the case were old. There were 2 slices of the loafs left so you could tell it was from the previous day. I was also expecting the drink to come in the mug like what I saw on yelp which is why I left a tip, but everything just came in to-go containers. The rose scone I got also tasted stale. Chai was so authentic tasting, took me straight to Mumbai. Except that Chaiwale offers oat milk! I dunno how they made it identical to cow's milk tea! Makes it even more special! Samosa was delicious, and also very authentic. Bread pakora was a little more bready than I like but still tasty. The decor was beautiful and tastefully done. I'm definitely coming back! I also liked how refreshing and aromatic the lavender iced tea was, which paired well with the desserts. Staff was friendly and service was quick and efficient. Came to Chaiwale and Co on a Thursday afternoon and immediately loved the ambience. It reminds me of enjoying dessert and a cup of chai at a friend's house with comfortable couches and plants. Their Teas are the best. My all time fave and go to is their Cardamom Chai. Omg sooo good. You can either order it Hot or Iced, and they have alternate milk substitutes if you need such as Oat-milk, Almond Milk and others. They offer yummy pastries and unique selections. I was sad to find out that Pie Hole was gone, but was intrigued by this place. I'm not super versed in Indian food but I've liked what I've tried before. This place definitely delivers. We got a slice of the Kulfi Tres Leches Cake, and a couple of samosas. I got the saffron chai and my partner got the masala chai. Everything was delicious. The cake was rich and floral, and the samosas were crispy and well spiced. The samosas come with a sauce that is very delicious but I honestly preferred the samosa on its own - you get more of the subtle flavors. There's so many things on the menu I want to try - rose pistachio cake, paneer burritos, all the different scones - so I will definitely be back! This place might be my new local haunt! Yikes, went to this place this morning, and they were not ready for business. I was asking what was in some of the drinks, and they were not able to tell me what was in the latte's and or teas. The drink I wanted they couldn't find the ingredients to make it, and then when I asked for an alternate drink, she asked me twice if I wanted it cold or hot. My drink came to me luke warm when I asked for an ice tea, and had no taste to it what so ever. It tasted like luke warm water with blue coloring. A brand new Chai House with desserts and snack right at the entry point of The Orange Circle from Glassell street. It's a nice little corner spot with indoor and outdoor seating. They specialize in desi (Indian/Pakistani) tea and sweets here. Since I have lived in that part of the world for a bit I love some Karak tea or masala tea. Instead of giving a whole pot they have small thru large sizes of teas. It felt like there weren't many variety on the milk tea as I would have expected but they are new so maybe in time. As for desserts they have the desi inspired desserts like the Gulab Jamun Cheesecake and Kulfi Cake which I loved seeing. I got to try their Earl Grey Pie and Gulab Jamun with some Masala Tea. I loved the presentation with the clay cups but the tea was just ok in my opinion. Didn't taste enough cardamom and other spices and was a little watery in my opinion. The evaporated milk must usually be fully reduced in such teas but maybe they were in a rush. The desserts were good though, specially the Gulab Jamun, that in my opinion was better than the Earl Grey Pie. I'll still return here in a bit as it's a very nice little tea house with nice location to hang out till late. read more
