Absolutely stunning resort however the service of the restaurant fell very short of expectations for the price. 4 course meal took over 3 hours to complete for our group of 25 people. In Addition entrees came out in waves with many people at the table waiting for their food and steaks came out cold. I also requested to have buckets of beer on the tables and servers told me they would be right out because they "were chilling". After the 3rd attempt asking where the buckets of beer where I simply gave up! Very slow and disorganized staff. If you are expecting top notch service skip this restaurant and save your money!! read more

It was the most expensive meal we had in Sedona, but not the best. The food was good, don't get me wrong. But not $50+ an entree kinda good. The lamb was good. The filet mignon was good. Just good. The sides were mediocre. We had the fingerling potatoes, which were oily, and the brussel sprouts, which were undercooked and bland. Again, it was a good meal, but at those outrageous prices, I expect to be wowed. Service was very good. We went early, because it was our first day there and were exhausted and hungry. Oddly enough, they seated three tables right next to each other leaving the rest of the place empty. We were in the middle. The manager stopped at the first table to ask how everything was, if they needed anything, etc. Then he skipped us, and went to the 3rd table and asked the same thing. The food was delicious and amazing. Absolutely no complaints with the food. There were several things that took away from the experience. There doesn't seem to be enough staff to accommodate the diners. We arrived at the Che-Ah-Chi reception desk and waited about 5 minutes for someone to welcome us. When the person arrived she said she would return in a few minutes. We had a reservation. Eventually we were seated outside which was lovely. But we waited another 10 minutes for a waiter to acknowledge us and light our candle and heater. I was not impressed with the hi-tech way we were supposed to order our bottle of wine. We were presented with an ipad on which we were to order our wine selection and send to the bar. I missed the personal attention and suggestions of the waiter. It was almost impossible to get a 2nd glass of water. When we made the reservation, we were asked if it was a special occasion. We said it was a birthday celebration. A big deal was made of getting the name etc. However, it was never acknowledged during the dinner. Why bother asking if it doesn't matter? At this point I am not sure we will return. read more

The food and ambiance at this restaurant are fantastic. Just jaw dropping how good the food is. If you are a fan of fine dining, excellent small portions, truffle infusions, creative dishes and a true foodie then this is the only place you will want to eat while in Sedona. We went there once and it was so good that we returned the very next night for some more of simply the best lobster bisque we ever had. No, you really have NO IDEA how AMAZING the lobster bisque topped with cognac foam is. Not to mention the dessert - wow - just incredible. Perfection. Definitely worth every penny, and not that expensive. Just so you have some perspective, I, for example, am not the type of person that ever finds Italian food fine dining. I love Italian food, but no matter how great it is, to me, it simply lacks the combination of flavors and small enough portions for it to be fine dining. I prefer very small portions, creative dishes with an explosion of combination of flavors. My favorite restaurant in the world is Victoria and Albert's in Orlando, but I have also been to many well-known places in NY, Sao Paulo, Puerto Vallarta, LA, San Diego, DC, etc. This is one of the top 3 restaurants I have ever been to. So if you are like me and enjoy the culinary arts and have a sophisticated palate, there is no way you won't simply adore this restaurant. The reincarnation of the main restaurant at Enchantment is great. We used to go to this resort/restaurant for the experience of the location and ambiance. We would now go for that and the food. We had a wonderful meal and experience. Some of the dishes were molecular gastronomy, others just great gourmet. we will be back!!!! read more

We all wanted to like this place. We came as a group of 6, were shown to our table and that was where the good bit ended. My boyfriends mom had called to make sure they were happy to accommodate a vegan and two vegetarians and was told that they had a special menu for us. After asking about said menu we were told that they had to print it out first. After a little while I was handed a piece of paper that had clearly just been typed out on the computer. On there was some pasta with tomato sauce, a bland sounding salad and another thing I can't remember any more. Our server also had no idea about the menu and repeatedly told us contradicting things about ingredients and dishes. Fast forward to the food: the meat eaters complained about bland fish, one vegetarian mindlessly played with her spaghetti and as a vegan I had to ask to change my food twice because both times I had received dishes with cheese on top. In the end the chef came out of the kitchen to apologise saying that the waiter wasn't clear in his instructions. I left with an unsatisfied stomach and went to get a delicious vegan hot dog at Simons hot dogs. Those were some $6 well spent. read more

I was already in love with Enchantment, but even more now since I have dined at Che Ah Chi. My husband had the most beautiful lobster bisque with a delicate lemon foam that took soup to a whole new level. My plate of buffalo tenderloin has to be the most delicious dish of 2014 and top 5 of 2013. The meat was tender and juicy as was my husband's lamb. The cherry glaze on the onions with poached pears is the best pairing with meat that I have ever had. To end our meal, the restaurant complimented the yummy chocolate crunch cake for our anniversary. The service was top notch and we will always dine here when in Sedona. A true hidden gem. read more

I want to warn women planning a girls night about how I was treated at the restaurant Che-Ah-Chi. I went there with my girlfriends to have a meal with my girlfriends- not the sleazy clients. I was so offended when in the middle of our meal staff allowed a stranger to come up to our table and UNINVITED sat down and asked " What drugs were we on?" I was with a captain in the army, 2 doctors and another business woman. We are all married women. We never went to the bar. We did not know this person. This stranger told us that the guests behind us was the owner and they didn't want us in the restaurant and we were to go to the bar and continue our conversation there. We just wanted to finish our meal and chat with OUR group. We finally get rid of this a-hole and then another man- this senile General comes over and bothers us next, and then the senile generals wife. I never got to talk to my friend because she had to leave after the meal. I came home a irritated mess. Dont go to this restaurant with out an escort. It is not safe and the staff will not keep creepy people away from your table. They are ok with that. read more

My wife and I have eaten at Enchantment restaurants many times and this time was such a horrible experience. My friends just moved to Arizona, and I've been bragging about this resort for weeks! We ate here on June 26th, and after this visit I'm not so sure there will be another. We needed two high chairs, and they only had one. They spent 5 minutes looking for another, and they finally got one from the another restaurant across from ours. They pulled it from patio so when they brought it over, I said that's going to be really hot since it's already 94 outside and sunny. The guy replied with "it'll be fine" Well no it won't be fine! That high chair was extremely hot and not ok for a 17 month old baby to sit in! Another lady from up front wiped it down with cold rag then dried off. After sitting, we waited about 5-7 minutes for waiter to finally come to table. Three of us got the buffet and wife ordered pancake, and a bagel with tomato and avocado. My friends and I go to the buffet, and bacon was over cooked, eggs were out, almost the entire fruit table was empty, and what was left was hard as a rock. The bagels were dried out and hard, and the only thing that did look fresh was the oatmeal. After starting to eat (wife and kids still waiting on theirs) we order mimosas. The server brings to table, and all the mimosas were disgusting! They were extremely warm, like if they came out of microwave or sitting in sun all morning. We complained to server and then he disappeared for about 20 minutes. My friends and I go back to buffet and there was finally eggs but everything else was still the same! When we got back to table, wife and kids food still hasn't been brought out!! Ok seriously where is our server??? Another server happened to walk by and I grabbed him and he went in back and got her food. By this time we were all done and we had to sit and watch my boys and wife eat. Our original server finally shows up and pours more mimosas and they're still hot! So hot that people behind us complained and asked for cup of ice to chill it. I'm honestly blown away by this horrible service and quality of food and drink. After wife and kids got done we sat around for about 15 min before actually getting up and walking to front to complain. Instead of paying at table we paid at front counter where the hostess is. It's now Tuesday morning, and I'm still blown away by how bad our service was. No one seemed to care how our food and service was, and I'm guessing they won't care about their Yelp review or comments either. Horrible experience for such a great resort read more

Came here for dinner on our last night in Sedona. Sadly, it was our least favorite dinner of the 4 we had. The only good thing about our experience was the view. We made a reservation but showed up early and hung out at the bar beforehand (View 180). Service there was lacking--we literally had to stand up from our seats to gain attention to order drinks. Then when we were seated at our table, it was dark, and we literally sat staring at our reflection in the window. We waited for at least 10-15 minutes before we told the host no one had helped us--we didn't even have water. We had already chosen our food on the menu, put our menus aside, didn't have phones out, and were simply waiting on service that was rare and poor when it did come. Our waiter was obviously not very familiar with the specials. He took our order and we never saw him again until we asked for our bill. Someone else brought our appetizers, someone else refilled my water once, my husband finished his drink before entrees arrived and no one paid enough attention to ask if he'd like another. We had to ask someone else to take our plates and find someone to give us our bill. My husband's steak was mediocre at best. My pasta was good but I wouldn't go back for it. When we finally got our bill, we couldn't wait to get out of this place. If you go, take in the views and then find yourself better food and service elsewhere. read more

This was my 1st visit to Enchantment Resort. I was under the impression it was a 5 star resort. The Lobster Bisque was very good. Drinks were also good. Service was not acceptable. Inattentive waitress at a 5 star restaurant. Seems the only people that wanted to work were the servers and the didn't really do a great job either. Will not be going back. read more

The view is magnificent; the restaurant is beautiful and the wait staff try very hard to please. It was Valentine's Day and there were issues. Nancy Powell is the restaurant manager and I thought it only fair to share my complaints with her. She went above any expectation to address those concerns. This place has a beautiful view. Great place to stop by for happy hour from 4-6 and offers a lot of $6 specials. Great place to look up at the red rocks and the nature around it is amazing to see. Great for tourists. TERRIBLE SERVICE. It costs $800 a night to stay here (not including extras or food) so you think the least you can get is a drink under an hour. It literally took us forever to get a drink or food. They let us sit at the table for 20 minutes. I would love to say this was a first but this is the third time that this has happened. I would not recommend this place to anyone with guests. It is quite embarrassing how long it takes to get a drink or food. Don't bother with happy hour because they take forever you'll end up paying full price anyways. This place needs to hire a decent manager and hire like 3x more staff to support the needs. It didn't look bust but obviously these staff members have ZER0 sense of urgency! read more

Due to the constant recommendations of the Enchantment concierge, we made a reservation for this restaurant. First of all, it seemed very understaffed and the service was very slow. In fact, I may have had the time to fly to Kansas, wrangle my own cow, and grill my own Filet faster than they cooked mine. I was left to wonder if they made me wait so long in order to make me so hungry that I would find their food spectacular. Also, I recommend never ordering the Caesar salad-it was a crude attempt to be fresh and innovative that resulted in a mess of a salad. Our waitress was friendly and apologized for our long wait with an offer of free dessert and the lobster bisque was exquisite, but be prepared to wait for over an hour and a half to receive your overpriced entree. The atmosphere is quite charming and the views of the red rocks are phenomenal. If time and money don't concern you, the views, atmosphere, and few decent dishes might make eating here worth it. read more

We have dined at Che-ah-chi many times over the past 5 years and each time something is always lacking. Our most recent experience left little to be desired and we will not return. The Sunday brunch always had an amazing spread and each dish was delicious. Now that it is only a cold buffet, which is very good, with over priced poorly prepared cooked sides and poor service at best, we won't even go for that. There were 4 meals of the hot dish menu and each was very small and not very good. I ordered an omelet and I must saw it was the worst omelet I have ever had. We had a reservation and we still had to wait an additional 15 minutes for them to set the table and bring a high chair. The server was rude and very condescending and no one came by to take dirty dishes or refill waters, coffees, and mimosas. This was a very disappointing experience! read more

Excellent service, excellent cuisine, excellent atmosphere. What else does one need to say?

My husband and I just celebrated our anniversary last Friday night at this wonderful restaurant. The resort is breathtaking and secluded - lovely soft lighting everywhere, even entwined in the greenery on the welcoming archway. The decor says "magical", and the food and service do not disappoint! We were lucky enough to watch the spectacular last rays of lights on the red rocks as we enjoyed our pre-dinner cocktails. Outdoor heaters ensure you'll stay warm even as night falls. The decor is well appointed and executed with a regard for the surroundings...soft deep golds, browns and ambers...floor-to-ceiling windows that open up completely to the patio. The building itself seems a blend of adobe style meets Frank Lloyd Wright. Perfect! We had the Lobster Bisque - decadent and smooth; the roasted yams and the falafel entree with tomatoes and hints of lemon; my husband enjoyed the ribeye steak with mushrooms and onion crisps, with a side of the delicious cauliflower steak. We ordered the salted caramel gelato for dessert - arrives in a crispy sugar shell - scrumptious! Very nice staff. What a delight! read more

We recently ate there while staying for several days at the resort and were extremely disappointed. We were expecting it to be one of the highlights of our trips to the resort but found very poor service and poor food. The four of us were seated at about our reservation time and the restaurant was less than half full but it was over 20 minutes before our wait staff arrived to introduce herself. It then was quite a wait to get the first bottle of wine we ordered. Salads arrived without dressing (as promised by the menu), all four entrees arrived cold and it was difficult to flag down other wait staff to get any service, as we did not see our appointed waitress until toward the end of the meal. Unfortunately, a very negatively memorable experience. I highly recommend avoiding this very poor, way overpriced restaurant and dining in the less expensive, much better alternatives at the resort. read more
