I ordered the same same sandwich it was brought to the table with the wrong bread and the turkey was a rubbery mess. It just didn't taste the same halfway through I took out the original picture and realized they forgot the bacon too. This place was good when it first opened and a few times after that. This last visit for breakfast was extremely disappointing. 4 adults and 2 kids. Kids had pancakes. Hard to mess those up. Two of us had the biscuit scrambled eggs combo. Menu said 3 scrambled eggs. Neither one of had 3 eggs between us. The food was warm in the middle and cold everywhere else. Must have been sitting waiting to be served to us for 20 minutes being that cold. One of us had the chili verde omelette. Usually good. It was odd tasting and not edible. One ordered the chilequiles and it was bland and soggy. Need to step up the game here or the place is going to have the same results as the prior 3 eateries that were here. Just had the most delicious meal at Cheliz in Highland (the former Highland Cafe location)! Lots of great options on the senior menu too. I had the chili verde omelet with country potatoes and flour tortillas (they gave me 4 tortillas - I have enough for leftover for another meal). My husband had the pastrami burger. Service was fine, food was decent, the restaurant isn't big, when we went in on a Friday morning, it wasn't packed so we got seated right away. The food here is good. But the employees have horrible attitudes ESPECIALLY if you don't tip allot. I've been multiple times where their whole personality changes once you pay and the tip is not what they want. They also expect you to tip large when you do online orders. We have been going to the Redlands location for years. It's our go to diner. Both the American and Mexican breakfasts are fantastic and the food is so consistently cooked perfectly. We've been to the Highland location twice now and so happy to see that the cooking is just as spot on. Some favorites are the Chile relleno breakfast and the Cheliz omelette. Food was not great. Got the beef dip and the bbq burger. The beef dip was okay. For the burger, they charged me $.95 to add onion and didn't put onion on my burger so just stole a dollar from me. And I asked for the bbq on the side and didn't get it, so had a super dry burger. Was very disappointed and won't be going back. Wish a good restaurant would move into this spot finally.
