Considering the customer service and price, this place is a score! They are often open late and on holidays. The food admittedly isn't mind-blowing but it's good and decent. I appreciate how varied their menu is, but perhaps since they have so many items that's why it's hard for them to make each dish taste ~amazing~. SERVICE: It was my first time being here with my partner and upon entering the restaurant we were greeted very kindly and joyfully by the lady at the cashier. She was very attentive to us and made sure if we needed anything such as other side dishes or refill on water :) 5/5 on service! FOOD: We ordered the ramen and chicken cutlet! Ramen was not too salty, it had tteok (rice cakes) one egg, pork slices and various veggies such as carrots, mushrooms, zucchinis, etc. I give the ramen a 3.5/5 because although it was great in flavors and delicious we wouldn't order it again since we want to taste their other option which was jamppong but couldn't since they said they ran out. Onwards to the chicken cutlet, the portion size was HUGE, serving size could be for 1-2 even 3 if you're considering sharing. The chicken cutlet was delicious and crispy, side salad was fresh and appetizing and it came with rice & fries as well! It also came with a chicken cutlet sauce but I was not too much of a fan since it had the aftertaste of alcohol and it was watery compared to the sauce I usually eat but overall I give this dish a 4.5/5! After we finished eating, the nice lady gave us some refreshment/dessert at the end (on the house) and we forgot to ask her what it was but she said it was pudding! It had cinnamon dashed on top and honestly reminded me of arroz con leche :) but it was so good, not too sweet and I like the hint of cinnamon even though I'm not much of a cinnamon fan :) 5/5 OVERALL: Customer service was great here, we also heard it's this restaurant grand opening and we love the atmosphere of home cooked meals. Seeing how this place is local and a small business, I decided to try it out. The decor, service, waitresses are all very nice. The food? Eh... I ordered a pork katsu for lunch. I had many Korean-styled pork katsu in my life. This place has one of the worst ones I've ever had. It was so disgusting that I could not even finish the food. It comes with French fries with sprinkled powdered Parmesan cheese. I don't know why the restaurant thought it was a good idea to add Parmesan cheese, let alone adding another source of carb alongside rice? Very bizarre combination of ingredients for such a simple dish. The pork itself is thinner than the batter. Take a look at my picture. The cutlet has no flavor and very dry. It was drenched in some house-made katsu sauce that tastes like sugar mixed with corn starch that's overly sweet, not reminiscent of any katsu sauce I've had. The katsu sauce is suppose to be pleasantly sweet with hint of apple and/or pear. You know the food is not good when a restaurant drowns your food with sauces, almost trying to compensate for the lack of flavor from the main dish. The katsu is drenched with the sauce. The salad is drenched in some flavorless dressing. And it decided to add more of that weird corn starch sauce all around the rim of the plate. The Korean side dish banchan was edible and good enough. I only ate the rice (made sure to dust off all the Parmesan cheese on it) and the banchan before leaving. The price for this dish was ~$17 plus $4 of tip I left behind. Hey, at least the service wasn't bad. The waitress actually came to ask me how the food was. I pretty much told her everything I mentioned here. I really wanted to support this locally owned small business... If the food was good, I wouldn't mind paying over $17. What a shame... maybe the food will improve in the future, but I will not be returning anytime soon. read more

The food was tasty and when a friend mentioned that they wanted the food a little spicier, they did a great job. This is definitely more a mom and pop restaurant, but the food was tasty and fresh. Galbi soup and the bulgogi meat is delicious here. The soup looks spicy but it is not. It have a rich beef broth that taste very hearty and cozy. The bulgogi is nice and tender and not as sweet as other places. Workers are sweet. I Also got the chicken cutlet. I thought that was ok. But I'm not a cutlet person, so I can be bias. My sister boyfriend liked it though. My only complaint is the banchan and their fries suck here. I did got all my food Togo. but even after I air fry my fries it wasn't good. Found this spot randomly on Yelp when I was craving some Korean tofu soup. I was debating between the soybean or dumpling tofu soup. I got the soybean tofu soup medium spicy since most tofu spots don't have this item and wow it was really delicious! At first I thought it was going to be more like soybean stew (Doenjang jjigae) but I was blown away! It taste just like soybean stew and tofu soup had a baby LOL. It was extremely flavorful and there are even big pieces of pork belly inside. I can't wait to come back and try their other dishes. I loved our experience here!! Came in an hour and a half before closing with a big party and everyone was so accommodating!! The menu wasn't super big but they had plenty of choices to choose from. The server/waiter was very nice and even suggested a few dishes. Our large party decided to choose tofu soup, ramen, popcorn chicken and one of the stew (forgot what the name was!!) portion wise was very generous, popcorn chicken was not the tiny little popcorn chicken you'd get at boba shops, they're actual chicken chunks! Tofu soup (we got the beef tofu soup) was so flavorful! But my favorite was the ramen! I didn't think it would be as flavorful as it was but it was delicious!
