Tried their grand opening. Taste is very authentic korean food Since it's new please give them some time to get ready. The chef and cashier are an older man and woman. I think they just need to hire a good manager because the lady and the workers didn't speak fluent english. They spoke korean and spanish mainly and it might be tough foe non korean speakers. Had I read the reviews first, I would've seen that people were giving it 4 and 5 stars but saying the food was mediocre or sub-par. Pros: they give a couple side dishes and a dessert for free. The waitress was really sweet. The place was overall clean. Zero wait time. Con: all the sides were bland, including the kimchi. Our mains were mediocre at best (we got the kpop chicken and a tofu stew). I don't expect it to be authentic Korean, but I am expecting flavorful at the least. I don't know how anyone can rate this place 5 stars. I like to try and go to local restaurants and I hope they make it. But my dinner was less than stellar. We ordered what the waitress said was the most popular dish, the Galbi stew and the tofu hot pot. The Galbi stew came with 4 bones with meat, a few white and green onions and that's it. When I took the bones out there was maybe a quarter pound of meat. The broth was tasty so I took it home and cooked some udon noodles and ate it after because I was still hungry. The stew needs some radish or carrots or even potatoes to really call it a stew. The tofu pots were good and really temperature hot but not anything exceptional. The prices were good but the bowls are not that big. We were still hungry after. Lastly, the rice was mushy. Service was good. No wait on a Friday night but I don't think I'll be back. read more

My friends took me to this restaurant as a farewell lunch. As soon as we entered you could see the nice ambience and decor. The establishment was clean and the service was excellent. Daisy was the person who provided the menu and described the dishes to us. One of my friends got the chicken salad, omg! That salad was amazing! It had strawberries, blue berries, good size chicken breast and the dressing was made from scratch. My other friend got a stew, I forgot which one. I got a soft tofu beef stew, it was super delicious. We got side dishes and rice with the food. Everything was fresh, it gave us a fine dinning vibe without spending so much money. As a cherry on top, we were given complimentary vanilla pudding to try and get our opinion. They are brand new and they will incorporate more dishes as time goes by. At Chew Me it was great the environment was peaceful and they had calm nice music playing, the owner gave us recommendations and great service. I ordered there famous K popcorn chicken the food looked better than the picture on the menu. When I ate a piece of popcorn chicken it was like a melody inside of my mouth. The owner said they only use fresh ingredients for all of there food, they even gave me a free dessert in the form of pudding which was as great as everything else at the restaurant. Was in Garden Grove for a medical appointment, and was wanting some comfort food to make me feel better. Found this place on Yelp, and it didn't disappoint. Interior was really nice, and the lady who greeted and served us was very pleasant and knowledgable. She walked us through the menu (they use organic ingredients), and the history of the chef/owner. We ordered the Tofu soup (tofu is handmade by the chef) and the Galbi soup. This was bar none, the best tofu and galbi soup we've had... and we've tried a lot of other places in LA and OC. You can tell that they use natural, and very high quality ingredients. No food flavoring, etc. a bit surprising since the price of both plates were cheaper than the other places we go to. The restaurant just opened, and sits in a very busy strip mall. Overall, a very positive experience. We will be back to try the other items (Korean fusion) in the menu. read more
