Made my third attempt in roughly the past year to pick up phone ordered pizza's from this place tonight and for the second time out of those three trips the guy who took the phone order didn't actually put in the order. First time it happened, I just waited as they started everything from scratch. Stuff happens. My wife and I came in for dinner. Service was outstanding. We ordered a garden salad and 10 inch thin crust veggie pizza. The salad came in a large bowl full of fresh vegetables and some of the best croutons I have ever had. I barely finished the salad when our pizza came. That was quick! After we finished everything our waitress bought our bill. The charge was very reasonable. I was so impressed that I introduced myself to our waitress. Anyone that misses legit chicago pizza should eat here. This puts all pizza places around here to shame. Blind onion is good but this is by far the best out west. I had good service, could have been a little better but the pizza was amazing! Id give five stars if they had better customer service. Just had the worst expectance ever here!!!! We wanted to support a LOCAL restaurant so when it was our the end of the year party for our softball we decided to come here. They threw away HALF OUR PIZZA and BEER WITHOUT ASKING IF WE WERE DONE!!! So they said they can make us a small pizza if we wanted to wait we say ok. Then we find out that the management was making the employee GIVE UP HIS EMPLOYEE MEAL FOR THE NIGHT FOR IT!!!!!!!! We said no way that's NOT RIGHT!!!! The management said. I gave u half of my restaurant witch we explained that we all PAID FOR! Then we explained that this is a small town with small values and I would think that you wouldn't want this to get out that we OR your employee was treated like this. She responds with "I DONT CARE AT ALL WHAT SOCAL MEDIA AND YELP OR ANYONE THINKS. WE ARE DOING FINE AND GO AHEAD AND TELL EVERYONE....... I DONT CARE!" Well here I am and there you go. On May 29, 2015, our family went to Chicago Mike's pizza we had told them we going to be in around 7:30pm after my grandson's graduation, it ran late so of course we called them to tell them we were going to be late. We all arrived within 10 minutes of each other we were a party of 12. My grandson had requested to go the Chicago Mikes.We had been once before and enjoyed the food, service was very slow, our waitress would walk back and forth to the kitchen with empty hands while we had asked for refills or there were empty plates on the tables. Not a big deal and the food was good, so we thought it would be just as good. From the moment we arrived we were rushed for drinks, appetizers, what pizza we wanted. It went downhill from there.. the pizza was not very good; rubber mushrooms, looked and tasted like old shoes. We asked and we were told they are sent from Virginia blanched, pretty sure they came from a can. I had a pizza that looked like mushed up food. It tasted ok not great. The sauce was so bland, maybe also from a can. When some of us were through the waitress started taking plates away from the table, she asked my husband if he was through he said no, she took his plate and said now you are!! There was another plate so he used it. One of the owners said do we need anything we said no thank you. From then on it was the bums rush. Food and service have gone downhill in the 7 weeks it has been open, what happens now? We will not give them another chance, not a very good celebratory dinner for our grandson. Wish I could say this place was great...but sadly I can't. We have tried it twice now and I don't see it making it much longer. Service is so slow at first after that you need to keep a hand on your plates and cups. Servers have developed a habit of taking them away before your done. We went to have pizza on a Friday night around 6:30pm. They had quite afew tables open, not that busy. Didn't have any service except being sat at our table. They had a lot of staff chitchating and standing around. We sat for 20 minutes with not even having our drink order taken. Can't tell you how the pizza was because we left. It is difficult to accurately rate Chicago Mike's. First off, they did a lot of renovation after taking over and prior to opening. Very, very open floor plan. We did feel the lighting was a bit overkill (if rated a 10, lower it to a 7 for dinner). The attire for table-side service was too casual for us. What ambience are they trying to provide? Get away from the post soccer/school game crowds and attract a more up-scale clientele? For those that were used to the previous owner's sports broadcasting, that is gone, as well as the music. Menu options are limited, though pricing is very attractive. Maybe extra veggie offerings for those that don't eat meat? As for the pizza, we had a veggie thin and cheese deep dish. WOW!!! Crispy and flavorful for the thin, and the deep dish is one of the best we've ever had, and we do like our pizza and have tried many. We will be back!!! read more

My family and I had a horrible experience here. We waited for an hour and a half for our two pizzas. The waiter and waitress who served us rarely ever came around. I had to go and ask for more drinks twice. My father asked to see the manager after an hour and was told repeatedly "the pizza was coming out of the oven right now." when the pizza finally came, it was luke warm and we were ready to leave. I LOVE Chicago style deep dish pizza, but we were driving through and did not have the time for it so we opted for the thin crust. Oh my am I happy we did. My wife and daughter split a cheese pizza and my younger daughter and I split a sausage and pepperoni. Both were wonderful and the grit sticks were also really good. We all ate more than we should have and only had a couple of pieces left that were promptly eaten once we hit the hotel. We are from Indiana and got to chat awhile with the owner. When we entered Chicago Mikes we were hopeful of finding great food and were a little worried as there weren't other diners, but we were there at an odd between meal hour and whoa were we pleasantly surprised.  Gina and her dad Mike have created a little Chicago piece of heaven right here in NV.  Having eaten pizza in Chicago and having read the history placed on the table we found that this father-daughter business duo were originally from Chicago, we were hopeful for at least a good experience. but after letting those delightfully fresh and flavorful tastes enter our noses and mouths this place moved right into first place.  We ordered a couple of Chi dogs and a deep dish pizza along with drinks and salad.  All ingredients were super fresh.  The Chi dog is superb!  Where else can you say you would travel 30 minutes for a hot dog?  For these dogs we would travel much further- snappy crisp hot dogs, the real green relish and the celery roll, need we say more?  The flavors just work so well together.  Normally my wife drowns things in ketchup, but not this dog.  Nope, it stands by itself with the perfect mix of flavors and textures to such a great degree that not even she felt the need to cover the flavors with ketchup.  Deep dish pizza crust is so unique and wanna be Chicago pizzas pale in comparison.  Happily the crust was fresh, fluffy and tasty.  Fillings and sauce are evenly spiced and without oregano you would think whuuuut, but not to worry it is a melt in your mouth Chicago experience.  Thank you Mike and Gina for not skimping or substituting any ingredients other than the original stuff only Chicago can offer.  Can't wait to return! read more

Finally a Chicago eatery in the area. Yeah they had some start up blues, but the owners have a good heart and service is improving. If you are looking for the typical west coats thick bread pizza this is not your kinda place.. But people in the know and from the East coast know thin is where its at!! The Beef sandwiches with hots is awesome and they even had breaded mushrooms!! Be aware it's cut into party squares and the ingredients are under the cheese just like it's supposed to be. Not being related to Mike, I feel compelled to give you the straight dope. This thin crusted cracker with cheese excelled in blandness. My god they are proud of it. Just order Pizza Hut and save yourself money and disappointment. Really...35 bones (a tiny Medium and a little large) for such a marginal effort in pizza making. Mike ought to be ashamed and I would not be surprised if Chicago had asked him to leave. I guess its my fault... WTF am I ordering thin crust Pizza from a Chitown place?
