This is our first time trying our neighborhood Chicciety fried chicken. It's located on Lemon & La Puente Ave in Walnut. It's a small place with some cute and casual decor inside. We placed the order at the self-service kiosk. We considered ordering their fried chicken wings but they were all sold out, so we ordered their popcorn chicken ($7.50), chicken strips (6 pcs) for $7, and Garlic Parmesan Fries ($6.95) for dine-in. We picked White Garlic Alioli sauce for the popcorn chicken and Chicciety sauce for the Chicken Strips and Fries. It took a bit long for them to make our order even though we were the 2nd order in line. We waited about 15 minutes before we got our order. The portions were big. The Garlic Parmesan Fries were delicious and flavorful but you better chew gum after eating them because it has a strong garlic flavor. The Chicken strips were huge! They were big and long strips. The chicken meat was tender, but the crust outside was too crunchy and greasy. We like the Chicciety sauce though. The popcorn chicken was also cut into big pieces and the flavor was spicy. We would rather have the Taiwanese popcorn chicken than this one though. Overall, it was okay but we were not impressed either. We've had better Taiwanese and Korean Fried Chicken though. I love a good chicken sandwich, however, I'm a little tired of hot Nashville chicken or saucy Korean ones. At Chicciety, you can have yourself a plain ole chicken sandwich. So I did. I ordered the original chicken sandwich ($8.45) and made it into a combo (+$6.00). There are 0 descriptions for the sandwich, but you do get your choice of breast or thigh meat and your level of spice. The enormous chicken patty comes sandwiched between two soft buns alongside some slaw and pickles. The chicken is delicious - the batter is light and crispy and the meat is so moist. The slaw is the perfect complement to the fried chicken patty. - It adds a cooling effect to the spiciness. I also shared an order of their chicken strips ($7). Wow, for $7, you get a really generous portion of chicken tenders (I counted 7 in my order). The chicken tenders are the same as the patty: good batter, tender meat. They're not as thick, but I'm okay with that. You also get your choice of a dipping sauce. I chose the Chicciety sauce which is a lot like the Chick-fil-A sauce. I also went ahead and ordered all of the sauces for an additional $.50 per sauce. Of these, the white garlic aioli and creamy cucumber wasabi were terrific. Everything else was pretty standard. Chicciety is worth checking out if you like chicken sandwiches. I'll be back to try their wings. read more

I saw that this place opened up recently. I chose to get the original chicken sandwich ($8.45) which came with mayonnaise and shredded lettuce, and a side of crispy garlic fries. The chicken was hot and crispy, the portion size was large and it was moist inside. It had a good flavor and the bread was soft and did not get soggy. The menu had a good selection and I wanted to try their chicken and rice cake skewers ($9). It came with two skewers of chicken tenders with honey mustard seasoning and chewy fried rice cakes. I've been seeing random ads on Instagram about this place. What drew me in was the fact that they have hainan chicken rice here! Their main selling point is their fried chicken items but I'm always looking for new hainan chicken spots. Unfortunately, my experience wasn't that great. Also my order was thru DoorDash so I will be a bit nicer this time around :') The hainan chicken rice was a pretty big portion. The cucumbers were fresh, kinda hard to mess this one up. The rice has decent flavor but it was quite dry. I love the amount of chicken that's given but the chicken was tender, not moist. (Seeing a pattern already?) The chili lemon sauce tasted weird by itself but when topped with a bit of the ginger sauce, it was the amazeballs. The ginger sauce does well on its own as it's super flavorful. I also got the 6 pc crispy wings. I can handle some serious heat but decided to go with "Hot" instead of "Hell." The other 2 levels are mild and spicy. The wings were crispy indeed. The seasoning powder tasted very familiar. It reminded me of some type Asian chips I had when I was younger but I can't remember which. The spice level was on the lower end of a medium spice. If I were to get these wings again, I'd have no worries about getting Hell level. Their ranch tasted as expected- not handmade. If it was, it's not, sorry lol Their chicciety sauce was pretty good. I couldn't tell what it tasted like but I was trying to get every last drop out of the container. Their dipping sauces are $0.62 each. Since I didn't order anything else, I would still give this place another chance and in person next time. Hopefully their chicken sandwich and AYCE boba drinks will be good enough to keep me coming back for more. Otherwise Burger Box is still my go-to chicken sandwich place. read more

A new chicken sandwich place has opened in Walnut and I have to say that they are doing a cute job. I love the tables and chairs that are inside and the place is clean. Came here for lunch with a few people and decided to try two different chicken sandwiches and a Hainan chicken rice. The bread on the chicken sandwich was also nice and soft. Their Original Chicken Sandwich really reminds me of the ones I use to get in China. The super light crispy batter/crust, with a super juicy, flavorful chicken. The buns were extremely soft and the iceberg was super crisp and refreshing. I got the hot flavor, and there was a slight kick. I wanted a little more heat but was too afraid of getting the insane level. The sandwich is huge, hence, why the price isn't like your typical chic-fil-a / fast food joint place. Service was great, they have a kiosk for you to order, and it texts you when you place your order and a time estimate. I ordered it for togo and the staff walked to grab napkins and handed my take out order rather than just calling out my number. Happy to have this chicken place in the area! There are two kiosks in the front where you order. The menu so pretty extensive, from chicken sandwiches, wraps, chicken nuggets or tenders, and even Hainan chicken. My friends love the Hainan chicken , especially when paired with their chili sauce. It also comes out much quicker than anything chicken related. Usually everyone is done eating their Hainan before my chicken sandwich or chicken fries are ready so expect a more of a wait when you order their other chicken options. They also have multiple drink choices aside from the typical fountain drinks. They have 3 other drink options m: a milk tea, a fruit drink, and I'm not sure if the third is an iced tea. You do have to pay additional for those special drink options. Overall, it is a cute joint with fun decor and good food. The employees are friendly and helpful. Came here with my family on a Thursday evening around 7:30pm and ordered with the person at the counter in order to use our 50% off coupon received in the mail. It was about a 20 minute wait to receive our order. Indoor seating is available and they have a TV screen playing K-pop. I had the devil spicy chicken sandwich, which came with two filets (all the other sandwiches came with one filet). The heat definitely built up in my mouth; note that they do have a customizable spice scale. The fries were good for four people and were nicely fried. Sauce is available for 25 cents. To be honest, I decided to come here because I saw the cute seating on Yelp. But I'm glad I tried it out. The place is small but it's spacious enough and ordering was very easy. You just walk up to the kiosk and place your order. I got the Hainan Chicken Rice. There is a bit of a wait for the order to come out but I didn't mind because that just means my order is freshly made. The portion is generous and the chicken is tender and juicy. It comes with a chili sauce and ginger sauce and side of cucumber. The chili sauce was yum but I found the ginger sauce to be a bit salty. This place just opened last week, and it's inside the plaza with Vons, so there's a huge parking lot. There's a touch pad when you enter to order your food, I got a few of their most popular items including: Nashville Chicken sandwich, chicken stripes, wings, Hainan chicken rice and some fries!! I am so happy that something exciting finally opened up in this plaza! My husband came here twice for their soft opening and we went to the grand opening as well. My husband likes their Nashville chicken sandwich. He got it spicy both times and commented that it could be spicier. I think the next and last level is called "hell" and he said he would try that next time around! I had a couple bites and it has a good kick. Chicken was extremely tender and juicy. The grease level is a bit insane and I hope it'll get better as they improve their technique and recipe. I like how they offer Hainan chicken rice. It's one of my favorite dishes and it's a healthier alternative for my kids. It comes with two types of dipping sauces. Both of them are tasty and addictive. They offer thigh or breast meat. Despite ordering thigh meat, some pieces of the chicken was a bit dry. The Hainan chicken comes with a side of boring cucumbers. I recently decided to give a new fried chicken sandwich place a try and Chicciety was local and had great reviews. It's located in the shopping center near Vons, so parking was easy, but it's tucked away facing the street. It wasn't very busy when I went on a Sunday evening. After looking over the menu, I placed my order at the self-service kiosk. I really liked that you could pick between thigh or breast for each sandwich. We decided to go with thigh meat for the Nashville spicy chicken sandwich and breast meat for the original chicken sandwich. Both had crispy breading and were juicy, so I don't think you could go wrong on the type of meat. My only complaint for the sandwich was that the bread was a little dense and the lettuce didn't add much. Either a fresh slaw or nothing would be better. The fries were piping hot and extra crispy. One of the better fries that I've had recently. It was a great compliment to the chicken sandwich. It had a cool vibe inside the restaurant with small tables and a more lounge style feel. My guess is that they likely do more to go orders. Overall, a pretty good chicken sandwich place with plenty of other tasty things to try. Came here on a weeknight and it was popping! Ordering is done via kiosk. I ordered the original chicken sandwich with chicken breast at mild level spice, and it was prepared within 10-15 minutes. For all sandwiches, you're given the option to pick between thigh vs breast and a variety of spice levels. The chicken was moist, yet overcooked and very greasy to the point there was a grease puddle collecting at the bottom of my box. The chicken is so big, juicy, flaky, and crispy! I was so surprised because everything is so much bigger than the pictures. Way better than Korean fried chicken (except the sauces) and might even give Jollibee (still a bit cheaper and faster) a run for their money! Everything took 20 minutes and was made to order and since this is more of a fast food/pick-up type of place, the service is non-existent. They have a DIY milk tea bar you pay for, and the place has these tiny stools and chairs everywhere. I saw lots of trash littering the little tables and seats. I came here after the positive reviews and I wanted to see what all the hype was about. I honestly prefer Chicken Bun Bun instead. I didn't like how I had to place my own order through the screen. I wanted to customize and I had questions about the menu since it was my 1st time. Anyway, the chicken took forever and by the time I got my food I smelled like oil and fried foods. I've ordered this place to go 2 days in a row teehee Their chicken tenders are so good and not oily at all! I love the texture and crunch. And their garlic fries are a good portion, also not oily , and super tasty, always arriving still crispy. Their sandwiches are gigantic. I was not ready for the Nashville Hot chicken sandwich. I would of thought it would be too hot. This sandwich was huge. I couldn't comfortably take a bite out the 2 double chicken thigh patty and I loved it. I had to take one of the thigh patty off to enjoy the sandwich. Got a flyer in the mail for this place as it recently opened so my boyfriend and I decided to stop by. They have a snack pass kiosk so you could order on the app in advance or you can order once you get here. This place specializes in asian fusion fried chicken. They have chicken sandwiches, chicken wraps, chicken tenders, and chicken wings with varying levels of spice. The chicken itself was not dry and not too salty. They also have hainan chicken as a lighter option as well, and the sauce for that is delicious. The coleslaw on the wrap was also tasty and I wouldn't be opposed to having it as a side. We also ordered some of the chicken tenders with wasabi sauce and garlic wings. I will say I personally didn't enjoy them as much as the wraps and sandwiches. The batter would flake off in large chunks (not as much of an issue in sandwich form). I had also picked up what I thought was a small chicken tender but it turned out to be 80% batter. Additionally, the garlic sauce was much milder than I preferred. The atmosphere is odd. I'm usually not someone who cares too much about the way a restaurant looks, especially if it's just to grab a bite. This place just looked super divey. The furniture does look new, but everything else doesn't. They did repaint the floors, ceilings, and cabinets all in black. Unfortunately the paint job was pretty poor. The cabinets look like they just poured the paint over it and left the paint to run. I honestly don't usually care, but it reminded me of an oil slick and it was kind of unappetizing. The paint on the floor looked like it was touched while it was still tacky and it was definitely beginning to lift. The drink machine is also at the front of the restaurant with all the tubing and boxes exposed; not as big of an issue, just a weird to see. It just threw me off because it didn't give me a 'new restaurant' feel. There's 3 tables that each seat 4 in the back of the restaurant and one bar that seats 4. The rest of the seats are in the center of the restaurant and are really low with low tables, which might not be comfortable for some. I'd say the biggest concern would be that people with disabilities and/or need adaptive devices would have a difficult time maneuvering past the shorter furniture to get to the tables in the back. It's not a big restaurant. We had a larger order (2 sandwiches, 2 wraps, chicken tenders, wings, and hainan chicken) to go and it took around 25 minutes. I think there were 2 cooks and it was one of the cooks that brought it out to us. I'll give this place 4 stars because I do believe they're still ironing out the kinks to a new business.
