I saw that this place opened up recently. I chose to get the original chicken sandwich ($8.45) which came with mayonnaise and shredded lettuce, and a side of crispy garlic fries. The chicken was hot and crispy, the portion size was large and it was moist inside. It had a good flavor and the bread was soft and did not get soggy. The menu had a good selection and I wanted to try their chicken and rice cake skewers ($9). It came with two skewers of chicken tenders with honey mustard seasoning and chewy fried rice cakes. The staff is nice, the place had no a/c, and a good amount of tables.

Hainan Chicken Rice

I've been seeing random ads on Instagram about this place. What drew me in was the fact that they have hainan chicken rice here! Their main selling point is their fried chicken items but I'm always looking for new hainan chicken spots. Unfortunately, my experience wasn't that great. Also my order was thru DoorDash so I will be a bit nicer this time around :') The hainan chicken rice was a pretty big portion. The cucumbers were fresh, kinda hard to mess this one up. The rice has decent flavor but it was quite dry. I love the amount of chicken that's given but the chicken was tender, not moist. (Seeing a pattern already?) The chili lemon sauce tasted weird by itself but when topped with a bit of the ginger sauce, it was the amazeballs. The ginger sauce does well on its own as it's super flavorful. I also got the 6 pc crispy wings. I can handle some serious heat but decided to go with "Hot" instead of "Hell." The other 2 levels are mild and spicy. The wings were crispy indeed. The seasoning powder tasted very familiar. It reminded me of some type Asian chips I had when I was younger but I can't remember which. The spice level was on the lower end of a medium spice. If I were to get these wings again, I'd have no worries about getting Hell level. Their ranch tasted as expected- not handmade. If it was, it's not, sorry lol Their chicciety sauce was pretty good. I couldn't tell what it tasted like but I was trying to get every last drop out of the container. Their dipping sauces are $0.62 each. Since I didn't order anything else, I would still give this place another chance and in person next time. Hopefully their chicken sandwich and AYCE boba drinks will be good enough to keep me coming back for more. Otherwise Burger Box is still my go-to chicken sandwich place.

A new chicken sandwich place has opened in Walnut and I have to say that they are doing a cute job. I love the tables and chairs that are inside and the place is clean. Came here for lunch with a few people and decided to try two different chicken sandwiches and a Hainan chicken rice. The bread on the chicken sandwich was also nice and soft. The sauce in everything is light but tasty. I do enjoy this style of flavor because it isn't overpowering. Service was great and I would come back again for sure.

Original chicken sandwich - very greasy

Ordered 2 chicken sandwiches to-go via the kiosk and had to wait about 17 mins for the order to be ready. Both the original and insane spicy sandwiches were good but were on the greasy side with oil dripping as other reviews have mentioned. Perhaps they were in a rush and didn't have enough time to let the oil out from the fried chicken? Also, had to drive back as they forgot to include the soft drink that's part of the combo.

From the first bite to the last, every aspect of this sandwich was pure perfection. The chicken was crispy, boasting a golden-brown coating that delivered a satisfying crunch with each mouthwatering bite. It was obvious that the chicken was prepared with care and expertise. A pillowy soft bun enveloped the chicken, providing a sturdy yet comforting base. They have new dish in walnut location. The Hainan Chicken was tender. I like their special sauce. The accompanying rice, known as "Hainan rice," was a standout element of this dish. It was fragrant and cooked with precision. The rice was wonderfully seasoned and had absorbed the flavors of the chicken broth it was cooked in. They even have unlimited boba and drink for $4 u can add as many as toppings you want! I will definitely come back!!!

Chicken sandwich goodness

Verdict: Could be go to status soon Chicken sandwich: OG. I like it like I liked the OG Popeyes sandwich before it changed. Wings: I thought they were good but the sandwich won my heart. Fries: garlic parm. They'll do. House juice: reminds me of lillikoi drink from Hawaii. Not part of combo. Ha ha. After 6 refills owner told me it's a separate charge. No regrets it was so good.

Chicken-focused spot with sandwich, tender, wing, and even Hainan chicken options. Came here with my family on a Thursday evening around 7:30pm and ordered with the person at the counter in order to use our 50% off coupon received in the mail. It was about a 20 minute wait to receive our order. Indoor seating is available and they have a TV screen playing K-pop. I had the devil spicy chicken sandwich, which came with two filets (all the other sandwiches came with one filet). The heat definitely built up in my mouth; note that they do have a customizable spice scale. The fries were good for four people and were nicely fried. Sauce is available for 25 cents. The chicken wings are not breaded and are a relatively healthier option. Service was friendly and there's free parking. Credit cards accepted.

Cute seating area

To be honest, I decided to come here because I saw the cute seating on Yelp. But I'm glad I tried it out. The place is small but it's spacious enough and ordering was very easy. You just walk up to the kiosk and place your order. I got the Hainan Chicken Rice. There is a bit of a wait for the order to come out but I didn't mind because that just means my order is freshly made. The portion is generous and the chicken is tender and juicy. It comes with a chili sauce and ginger sauce and side of cucumber. The chili sauce was yum but I found the ginger sauce to be a bit salty. I would have liked more of the ginger flavor to come through. Overall, the meal was satisfying and I will definitely come back to try the other menu items.

Nashville Chicken sandwich (mild spicy)

This place just opened last week, and it's inside the plaza with Vons, so there's a huge parking lot. There's a touch pad when you enter to order your food, I got a few of their most popular items including: Nashville Chicken sandwich, chicken stripes, wings, Hainan chicken rice and some fries!! Oh and their drink is $4 but with free refill, which is a great deal cuz I had 2 cups of milk tea! I have to say that their fried chicken is really juicy and full of flavor (I assume cuz it was pre marinated before frying). If you like spicy, they also have a few levels to choose from. OK, now I need to hop on the treadmill...

Original fried chicken sandwich: breast meat

I recently decided to give a new fried chicken sandwich place a try and Chicciety was local and had great reviews. It's located in the shopping center near Vons, so parking was easy, but it's tucked away facing the street. It wasn't very busy when I went on a Sunday evening. After looking over the menu, I placed my order at the self-service kiosk. I really liked that you could pick between thigh or breast for each sandwich. We decided to go with thigh meat for the Nashville spicy chicken sandwich and breast meat for the original chicken sandwich. Both had crispy breading and were juicy, so I don't think you could go wrong on the type of meat. My only complaint for the sandwich was that the bread was a little dense and the lettuce didn't add much. Either a fresh slaw or nothing would be better. The fries were piping hot and extra crispy. One of the better fries that I've had recently. It was a great compliment to the chicken sandwich. It had a cool vibe inside the restaurant with small tables and a more lounge style feel. My guess is that they likely do more to go orders. Overall, a pretty good chicken sandwich place with plenty of other tasty things to try. Food: 7.9/10 Location: 7.3/10 Service: 8.1/10 Environment: 7.6/10

Came here on a weeknight and it was popping! Ordering is done via kiosk. I ordered the original chicken sandwich with chicken breast at mild level spice, and it was prepared within 10-15 minutes. For all sandwiches, you're given the option to pick between thigh vs breast and a variety of spice levels. The chicken was moist, yet overcooked and very greasy to the point there was a grease puddle collecting at the bottom of my box. The spice level is very modest, so recommend going a level up than your usual! The portion is huge, but chicken was disappointing. Overall, I have mixed feelings about the sandwich, maybe would return to try the sandwich with a thigh cut.

Hainan chicken
Tracy D.

Located on the corner of Puente and Lemon, you will find ample parking here. I ordered the Hainan chicken to go. It was so juicy! And the rice was so flavorful. It comes with 2 sauces. I liked the brown sauce for its sublet spiciness. And the order comes out quickly (I used the touch screen to order). Nice staff. The tiny restaurant is cute and chicken-themed. I look forward in trying their sandwiches but I see myself ordering the Hainan chicken again.

When you walk in, you order off right from the screen. It's pretty self explanatory. Easy peasy 1,2,3. Card only -I believe. My Nashville spicy chicken sandwich was crispy and juicy on the inside. Extra sauce, because I'm a saucy gal.

I was curious to see if it really lived up to the reputation -- and I have to say, it did. I tried their spicy chicken sandwich made with dark meat, and it was surprisingly delicious. The chicken was incredibly tender, juicy, and flavorful, with a crispy fried coating that had the perfect crunch. Compared with other popular chicken sandwich chains like KFC and Chick-fil-A, I personally found Wallace Chicken more satisfying, especially because the dark meat stayed so moist and flavorful. The fries are coated with seasoning and batter, which is a style some people may love. It's not my personal favorite since I prefer classic crispy fries, but they were still tasty and well prepared. The restaurant itself was bright, clean, and comfortable, and the service was friendly and efficient. For a first visit, I was impressed by the quality and freshness of the food. Definitely worth trying if you enjoy fried chicken sandwiches. I'll be coming back to explore more items from the menu!

So Fresh & Delicious!…read more I tried C&R Fresh Foods for the first time a week ago. I did some research on Yelp to see the menu and recommended options. I was craving a wrap so why not come give em a try. The parking lot has plenty of spaces as it located on the long strip mall in this part of West Covina. The location is pretty chill and quiet outside of the TV playing soccer. The staff who took my order was friendly and allowed me to try sample some smoothies. I came there for the BLT wrap with avocado. My order was served within a few minutes. The staff offered jalapeños on the side as well and constantly checked in with me. I was happy with this wrap! The freshness of the veggies and the crunch from the bacon was perfect. One specific detail I'd have to mention was the cream cheese they use in the wrap. It elevated that wrap it to a new level and brought out all the flavors. I'd return again just for this item. Good customer overall with great food. Come by and try out C & R Fresh Foods! ( ^_^)b

The owner gave us a bunch of free samples to try which I found to be all delicious. I ended up getting a Strawberry Banana Orange smoothie and it was so good! You can taste that they use fresh fruit to make their smoothies. My family also got the Blueberry Banana smoothie. This one was also surprisingly delicious and a bit unique as it had a slight nutty flavor to it. I think the drinks here are made better than Jamba Juice or Robeks. And you'd be supporting a small shop! Overall, this spot is great and the owner is really cool! He was super amiable, and you could tell how much he cares about his business. I'll definitely come back for their smoothies and to try their food items!

My wife and I were looking where we could get a nice sub sandwich, boom The Colossal feeds 50-60 we needed 2 for the party. Fast forward I called in today gentleman answered, put me on hold came back and was greeted with "what do you want?" "Yes can I place an order for 2 Colossal sandwich's." Before I could say what kind I wanted I was rudely interrupted "I said what do you want? What kind of sandwich!?" I repeated what I wanted He repeated "what kind of sandwiches do you want? I said can have it with Turkey Pastrami and Turkey. I was told no repeatedly on the turkey pastrami. -First the Turkey pastrami is too expensive it's an added $50 I said that's fine and he continued to persuade me to not get it -Second because now it's too much work to put on a sandwich because you know The Colossal is pretty big. (Seems like the works too much for them) So at the end of the day I went with the big corporate sandwich shop because I got my questions answered, they weren't rude, actually tried to upsell me instead of telling me no it's "too expensive" Lesson learned: teach your employees how to talk to customers. Thanks for the time and the so so service.
