The pizza was mediocre. Too much sauce even for my taste. Good service. Ambience was decent. It was an afternoon, so I'm not sure how it gets in the evenings with the bar. Generally delicious and the spicy sauce is BOMB but the margarita pizza is more like breadsticks with sauce (Where's the fresh Mozzarella bro?) Definitely don't recommend the margarita here. Everything else is legit. They also forgot the pepperoni on my other pizza that I paid extra for. I feel bad for the guys in the kitchen though. Please save your money if you're in town and avoid eating here at all costs. You're literally better off saving money and getting something better from Little Caesar's or Dominos.... that's how bad it is. We ordered a large margarita pizza and 30 wings (2 flavors) the pizza was cold and the cheese hadn't even been melted. It basically hadn't even been cooked and had big chunks of diced tomato that looked like they came from a can. It was flooded with sauce that wasn't even good. We specifically asked and paid for extra bleu cheese and ranch for the wings and didn't get any at all. Anyone who orders wings knows not having anything to dip them in can ruin your enjoyment especially when you're staying in a hotel and have nothing in the fridge to even try and use in place of it. Not to mention they mixed all the wings in one container and used nothing to separate them so it was an absolute mess and they mixed together and didn't even taste good. Stopped in to place an order to go. Waited 5 mins while the guy kept answering the phone and did not acknowledge me. Ordered our food and he said it would be 25 mins wait. After 40 mins I had do ask where my food was. They were prepping it for an in restaurant order!! Then when I check my garlic knots they are burnt brown. The guy tells me ..that's how they are supposed to be. Not true!! I've eaten at the one in CHESAPEAKE and there were no issues. Now another 15 min wait on some replacement knots. Awesome crust, good chesese...all around perfect pizza. The next day I asked the kids what they wanted for lunch and they said pizza again, so we ordered delivery to our hotel. This time i ordered a separate pizza for me with jalapeños and spicy marinara. It was phenomenal. The only reason this gets 4 stars instead of 5 is he service...they only had one young lady serving as bartender to a full bar and serving all the tables. This place is awesome!! I went for NYE and they had a pretty awesome reggae band. The patio area is amazing and had an actual swing. They have a great happy hour every day from 5 - 9. They usually always have either a band or a DJ. The pizza is amazing!!!! I ordered their wings and boardwalk fries and was not impressed. The fries were not traditional boardwalk fries, but more so just plain old battered fries. They were crispy. They also have corn hole which is always fun when you're drinking. Best thing is, you're right across the street from the oceanfront. I cant wait to go back! read more

Pizza was pretty great, what more can I say? In addition to that, service was good and if you're feeling more of a chilling bar kinda vibe then this has that going for it as well. If on the other hand you're looking for family friendly, while sure you can bring your kids here and they'd probably be enjoying their pizza too much to be preoccupied by the kinda dark, small, cozy bar like feel of the place it isn't as family oriented "looking" as pizza hut or dough boys but the pizza is worlds better so I think it's a welcome compromise the kids could live with and possibly not even care about. read more

So make the customers who are sitting physically at the restaurant wait while u take delivery orders. Doesnt make sense. This is the longest we had to wait for a pizza order at a restaurant. As tourists we were told to come to this place. The whole place looks very beat up and dirty and then the service is just so poor. Definitely not worth it especially with kids. Arrived to a private parking lot and a saran wrapped vehicle... I think it was a prank with the employees so no worries The waiters were pretty busy and there were no available tables on the inside but I was more interested in the seating outside. They had both covered and uncovered seating areas. The uncovered area has games but I had my toddler and he would be more interested in games rather than eating. The pizza came out fast, hot and was great we got the large mighty meat a Mountain Dew, Pepsi, and a tiny little can of apple juice. The fountain drinks were crispy and not watered down, my son said the apple juice was good. I love the construction of the pizza as they have meat under the cheese and then put cheese and more toppings on top. I will say next time we will order an extra large pizza as the large is more of medium sized. The atmosphere is laid back and everyone from the employees to the other patrons were amazing. The waitress was really nice and even accommodated us with taking our payment right away as the little one was nearing a full on tantrum. A bar is located in the inside and the outside btw. Went here to supplement leftovers with fries and a slice of pizza. The health department really needs to stop by and do a food safe lecture. Dough is being shaped without gloves on the same counter that raw chicken is being processed. I get that gloves interfere with your shaping, but this alone was sketchy. But wait, there's more. Further down the counter, another guy is chopping lettuce right over where the raw chicken was processed. Om nom, salmonella. I was downright relieved that I passed on a salad instead of fries. The fries are bought in frozen, which isn't unusual. It is unfortunate that they pass up a ton of profit since they could be handcutting them fresh and selling them by the barrel. Somehow, they managed to burn quite a few of these. The portion size is generous, but it still does not make up for the fact that these are expensive for bought in burnt fries. The pizza was swimming in its own grease, which would be fine if it were tasty. The crust is extremely thin and flabby. Your $10 is way better spent elsewhere. read more

First night in VA beach and this place was awesome. Very homey-local feel which is always appreciated. I remember coming somewhere on the boardwalk about 4 years ago and had an amazing Greek pizza. When I walked up I knew it wasn't the same place but decided to give it a try. Soooo happy I did!! Krista is such a sweetheart. She was very knowledgable about the menu and timely when it came to happy hour drinks (always caught me on my last sip). She also brought our food out quickly and with a smile. The Greek pizza was amazing. I thought it came with feta cheese but it didn't. My boyfriend had the buffalo chicken pizza with grilled chicken. So good. The buffalo chicken dip was also amazing as well. Will be back the next time I'm in town (or maybe tomorrow haha). read more

We came here on a Thursday night and it had more of a bar atmosphere than a family night pizza place. It's a shame that people still smoke outside when they clearly see that small children are around. Why the restaurant even allows smoking in the area near the back entrance, I don't even know.. /: For that very reason, this place shouldn't be considered a place that's "good for kids." Service was slow and it took way too long for us to get our check and get our card back to sign. I get that it was a busy night but I probably waited a good 7-10 mins just to get my card back. I HATE CHICHO'S PIZZA!!!! Every time I'm in town I have to eat it just once. I typically order to go or delivery as I'm usually in town on business so I'd rather eat alone in my hotel room than a restaurant especially because I find myself ordering an XL with spicy sauce. Everyone who's been around the VB area for some time knows Chichos. They've had some rocky years, but I found at my last visit they've stepped it up. I think they're under new management, and it shows (for the better). Last time we went we made it in time for happy hour, which is 5-9pm everyday!!!!! And they have some REALLY good specials. $2 well drinks, $2 domestic bottles and $4 margarita. I had a rum & coke and it was PERFECT..no skimping on the alcohol here. My friend had the margarita (of course i had to test that out too) and it was PERFECT, made just the way I like...strong and limey :) On Sunday they have a large cheese pizza for $6.99...you can't beat that deal. You have to get that spicy sauce, its what theyre known for. As far as taste, the pizza is good BUT nothing special, same ole pizza, tasteless crust. But if you get it at a good deal, the price per taste ratio is ON POINT. lol. Also, they're one of the few resteraunts that sells it per slice too. I love the atmosphere,for me it is homey. A place you can chill out at. Small, no frills, variety of people, and live music at times. The last musician who played there was so GOOD. He knew tons of songs,and interracted with people. The thing this place is lacking in is service, but it is A LOT better than what it used to be. Good waitresses are hard to come by, but I don't think it's entirely their fault. Last time they seemed understaffed and the kitchen guys were taking forever on the pizzas. Our friends waited about 45 mns on their pizza, but the waitress apologized and gave them a free drink. To me this is the best pizza in Virginia Beach hands down. They hand make their sauce (from what I'm told) and you can get spicy or sweet. The spicy is unique to chichos and even though I am would never typically choose a spicy option, I love their sauce! But still, the sweet wins for me just by a little. And they don't skimp on toppings. Have also had the wings here, they're great too. And the allover vibe is great. Outdoor patio, usually live music, trivia nights, there's always something. It's usually packed and definitely a fun spot not far from the beach. Also I get pick up frequently and they are always right on time and have super friendly service which I really appreciate. My only downside is that you can only get spicy sauce on slices of pizza and not sweet. Sweet only comes on the full pizzas. Since I prefer the sweet, I really wish this was different but obviously I still enjoy it even if I get spicy. Keep it up Chichos! read more
