Came in for veterans day and waited about 15 minutes. Never saw someone to ask how long the wait is or if the bar area seating was open since it was just me. I Walked out. There were groups of people waiting and they were told 45 minutes+ wait. I'm guessing the staffing shortage is hitting this location hard. read more

Ordered the trifecta trio margarita and it was all sour mix. Ordered the skillet queso it was served ice cold. Ordered the chicken crispers they were rubbery and over cooked served with mac and cheese that tasted like it was from a box. Partner ordered fajitas and you couldn't even chew the steak. Asked to have the fajitas taken off and their manager only offered half off. We didn't even eat 1 fajita. The manager wouldn't even come to the table and she just looks like a miserable person to deal with. The server also didn't bring menus and we had to get up and get them ourselves. I previously wrote a review for this location, but I'm updating because when we were there about a month ago while we were waiting in the lobby, a roach was clearly visible with another customer pointed out. Someone from the kitchen came with a broom and a dustpan, they swept it up into the dustpan and brought it back to the kitchen. I should note they did not kill it. We walked out after that without ordering and since then we have been to the chilies once and the one on Coleman five times. They should just close the Almaden/Blossom Hill location. They simply don't know how to run the restaurant there demonstrated by the wonderful service we have consistently had at the Coleman location and the one time at Capitola. There's always a hostess or host at the door when you walk in at Coleman. No matter how busy they are, we always get seated right away, within one minute of us ordering drinks they are already at the table and our appetizers and food came out within 10 minutes of us ordering consistently I told the staff about our horrible service at the blossom Hill Location and he said he has heard that many times before. So don't walk, run out of this location and head to any other chilies because it does not seem to be an issue with the company itself. This should have been a one star review, but because of a diligent worker i decided to give chilli's an extra star. The wait time was horrendous. They told us it was a 15-minute wait and it took 45 minutes to get seated. That was after I complained. We sat there for another 30 minutes waiting to order. When we decided to leave, and as we were walking out, I voiced my frustration to a worker, Chris. Chris was extremely polite and helpful. He was not our server, but went above and beyond to make sure that we were taken care of. He took our order and constantly dropped by the table to make sure we were happy. What got me to stay was that he made it clear to me that he didn't want me to leave unhappy. Chris is a great worker, and if I still have my business, I would have offered him a job on the spot. read more

I'm not mad, this experience was honestly hilarious. When we were seated, our waiter Hector seemed chill. We almost didn't care that he didn't give us any silverware or napkins the whole time we were there. After we placed our order, he came out to tell us that the hot water was broken and that we couldn't place any other orders, which we didn't mind since we already ordered everything. But, then he came out about 15 minutes later saying we couldn't have ANY of our food. He then proceeds to tell us that our nonexistent meal, is now comped. I don't know why we stayed, but 15 minutes later, he brings out our appetizers and says, and I quote... "just take it" and we never spoke again. I took the wife and kids to Chili's hoping to catch the game in the bar along with lunch. The hostess said no seating at the bar due to Covid social distancing. Lame excuse but whatever. So she seats us in a booth right next to a table with two females and two screaming kids. So much for their social distancing excuse. We ordered chips and salsa to start out and the salsa was obviously watered down to make it last longer. The server eventually took our order, brought our foods then disappeared. We had to ask another server for refills on our drinks. While waiting for our server I looked at my surroundings and realized how filthy the floors and some of the walls were. Very bad service, came here around 8pm. asked for some burger bites and to make them medium-rare they burned the burger and made it medium-well. They also put cheese dead center so there wasn't much cheese. Fry's had tons of pepper on them. Had to wait an hour for my food, even tho there where 2 groups of people (in picture below) I also ordered some chips and queso they said they were out of queso Which was not that big of a deal. If this is a corporate run location, they should close it and bulldoze the building. Everything is dirty and in dire need of a deep cleaning. Showed up at 1:15 on a Sunday afternoon. Took 20 mins to be seated at a half cleaned table. Placed next to a dirty hand bucket of water with dirty rags in it. After being seated took an additional 15 mins to even be asked what we wanted to drink. My son was handed a xerox copy of the menu. And the drinks showed up with no straws. When I asked for one was simply told, "We ran out." Food came cold. Paid the bill and left. I understand that businesses are in desperate need of staff due to the current situation with covid ext... Stopped in (2-24-24) for what was supposed to be a quick lunch today. I'm leaving two stars instead of 1 because our waiter John was very attentive and pleasant. I ordered the 3 for me with the hamburger medium well. It came literally with my salad, the fries were cold and hamburger was RAW, not rare. Light sonde on top and then bloody raw underneath. The hamburger was only half in the bun and I could t get it unstuck to position i it because of the cheese. It was sent back and redone but they didn't replace the fries we, still cold. My husband had the chicken sandwich in the 3 for me.....his fries were cold but he chose not to send them back. His bun was stale and just crumbled in his hands. The waiter accidentally brought him a full sized salad and said it was a mistake and he won't be charged for it. (He just picked up his fork to eat it when his sandwich arrived) lots of other little mishaps including having to go find my own utensils. The waiter offered us a complimentary piece of cake since we couldn't eat the fries (I really wanted them too) so we thought the cake was nice. The bill came and we were charged for the cake AND the salad we didn't order. Also, a random guy dropped off the cake and I asked for another spoon.....never saw him again. Been here twice in 2 weeks and the second visit was as aggravating as the first. I also had to run out to the car and get my coat...freezing cold! I now know the reason so many people are rating this particular Chili's 1 and 2 stars....the service is terrible!! My wife and I went here on a weeknight, and were told it would be a 20-25 minute wait. An hour later, we still weren't seated. We tried going into the bar area where it is first-come-first-serve, and easily found spots at the bar. However, after sitting at the bar for 10 minutes with no one even acknowledging us (despite the bartender and a waitress walking by us and looking at us several times), we walked back to the waiting area to resume waiting for our table. By now there were a number of empty tables in the main dining area, but no one was being seated because the host had abandoned his post and wasn't seating anyone. He wasn't even taking any more names from new guests who had come into the restaurant and were waiting in a now rather long line to get added to the waiting list. The funny thing is, these guests just ended up grabbing his abandoned clipboard and started writing their own names down and then took a seat. (I guess if he won't do his job, they'll do it for him!) After a while, my wife and I finally got seated at a table. Unfortunately, the waiting continued. It took forever for a waiter to come by and take our order, and while we were waiting we noticed two other tables that we saw get seated when we first came in who were still waiting for their food. Not a good sign. The waiter finally came and took our food and drink order, but then never came back with our beverages, chips/salsa or even the waters we asked for. While continuing to wait even longer, we saw one table get up and leave before their food even came, and then another table get up and leave just as their food came! (Apparently after waiting a very long time it came out wrong.) We'd finally had enough too. After about an hour and 20 minutes and not even waters in sight, we decided to call it a night. We left and went to get some fast food as we were starving. Worst. Chili's. Ever. read more

Came here for Lunch with my girL and her famiLy. We came in pretty deep with 4 aduLts and a set of twin infants. Parking Lot was fuLL and there were a good amount of peopLe standing around waiting to be seated. I was surprised by how quick we were seated and appreciated the big table they gave us in the back. It was roomy and away from other patrons which was probabLy a win-win for aLL parties since things can get pretty Loud with big parties. Glad to see they had outdoor seating available now. The wait staff wasn't super helpful. We had to ask for water/silverware/plates/etc because no one just brought them out. The chips were definitely not fresh. Most of them were soggy they were all covered in oil. You get what you pay for with the price of food. There are some good $10 meals at Chili's, however with the price don't expect good customer service or a clean restaurant. We were a party of 5 and 3 of our party arrived first. When they called to seat us they would not seat us because the other two have not arrived (they did not want us to occupy a large table/booth). When our party did arrive they finally seated us at a table for 4 and put a chair in the aisle for the 5th person. Hmmm, they would seat use at a large table until everyone arrived so they can squeeze us into a small table blocking the aisle? We noticed all night there were many tables that were not bussed/cleaned. It seemed service in general was lacking attention. We had to ask for water and refills, our server was not attentive. We never got napkins with our utensils, even after we got our food. I ended up getting water and napkins for our table. The food was ok over shadowed by the poor service. I'm not sure if this is the norm for this Chili's or a one off night. But it would be a while before I come back to this Chili's. Let me know if you've had similar experience. read more

I haven't been to a chilis in years and finally decided to go and will probably never return. It took over 5 minutes to be seated mind you it was not busy at all. Once we were finally seated for 20 minutes no one came to ask if we wanted anything to drink, appetizers, didn't even take time to say "we'll be right with you" but they say other people after us and they got drinks and food before us. It was as if we were literally invisible. I am not one to complain nor take time to write reviews but coming from someone who has worked in the food industry, DO BETTER. Place was pretty packed go figure it's Saturday night. So I'm here for a friends bday dinner. There was a little bit of a wait. As we got seated the service was outstanding. Then as the evening progressed & everyone started getting their orders they started checking on us less. My friends appetizer came a little after he was done with his entree. Seriously disappointing experience. One star is for a food, which was fine. One star for the host, who was professional. But the restaurant was dirty, with food and old napkins all over the floor. Service was pathetic. No idea who our server was, because he just came up and said "you ready?" and so we ordered. Appetizer came before drinks, and they hadn't given us any utensils. So we sat there starring at our food until we could flag our server down. Then our drinks came, minus a beer. A few minutes later, our server came out with the beer, but started going to each table in the section, asking if they had been the ones who ordered it. When it finally reached us, the head was gone, because it had obviously been sitting at the bar for a while. Entrees were not prepared correctly, we had to flag down the server again for ketchup, water refills, and finally a box. Every time the server emerged from the back of house, he was eating, as were other multiple servers we saw. He never came to check on us or to see if we wanted something else, so we finally figured out we could pay on the little kiosk on the table, so we did and got out of that dump. This place needs help! There doesn't seem to be a manager on duty, and the wait staff are struggling with having too many tables. They are trying their best, but don't know the menu, particularly wine and beer. They don't (or can't) check back after your food is delivered (with no napkins). The bar area is no longer first come first served except for the actual bar. There was one person serving all the tables in the bar area and doing a valiant job considering how overworked he was. Very friendly guy, but he needed at least one more server and someone to bus the tables. I hope that if there IS a manager, he/she reads these reviews. I used to love coming here. read more

Chili's on Almaden Expy is a disgrace to the company. I know that this is not fine dining but they still charge you around $15 an entree so I would expect more. You walk in, the floor is filthy. It was practically an empty restaurant at 5:45 and they made us wait 15 min along with 10 other people because they only had one server. Finally we are seated and the table behind us has left over food there that has been sitting for at least 30 min while we were waiting. A telenovela is playing throughout the restaurant, and at one point there was a 5 min love scene where the actors were without clothes making out....really is that kid appropriate? The food came fast great! We ordered half order of wins with street corn. The corn was soggy and cold. Might have been days old. The coleslaw was inedible. Ribs were meh. Still now we are here an hour later and of the 8 employees who past us they did not pick up the food next to us. Finally, when we were getting to leave the host who walked past the food maybe 20 times decided to clear the table. Bathroom soooooo dirty. Seriously shocked at how bad this place was. read more

My husband and I enjoy coming here for lunch or dinner. He usually orders the chicken fajitas and says they're really good. I usually have a cheeseburger or chicken sandwich and am happy with my choice. The service can vary. Sometimes, we'll get excellent service. Other times, the service is not very good. We are giving restaurants a chance to stay open for business. Too many places have already closed down. This Chili's is near Almaden. There is a need for restaurants in the Almaden area.
