I ordered 100$ dollars worth of food last night including walnut prawns. The walnuts in the prawns were rancid!! I called this morning to all for a refund and they hung up on me!! She told me the walnuts were fresh and to basically pound sand. I own a restaurant and this is NOT how you handle rotten food. She didn't even know what rancid meant. Needless to say i will never order from them them again. If you can't keep the nuts fresh just imagine what the meat is like. These people should be more careful. read more

Wow! Big improvement! I tried them twice when ownership changed and it was bad. I waited 2 months later and the food is great! I have had party trays of House Chow Mein, Crispy Shrimp, Pork Fried Rice, and entrees of Mongolian Beef, Salt & Pepper Calamari, Fried Shrimp, Sweet & Sour Pork, Mushroom Chicken, Broccoli Beef, Shrimp & Vegetables, and Boneless BBQ Pork. All were excellent and best around here and Brentwood! BUT, Eggrolls need more filling and Pork Egg Foo Yung needs a little work with more meat, sprouts, onions, and less gravy on it. I started to rate and write a review for this location as soon as I stepped away from the counter. The lady who took my order, money, etc. was the absolute sweetest. Even offered me ice water while I waited the *enter sarcastic voice here* whoooooole 10 mins it took them to put together more than 9 dishes for me to go. So the wait is very short and the service is fantastic. As for the food. It was all very good. For being what seems like more of a "fastish" food Chinese restaurant. Don't get me wrong the quality of everything I ordered was spot on, she even asked me if I wanted the shell on my fried prawns before making them. Over all, this new restaurant is a total score to the discovery Bay Area, which up until now did not have all too many option. Several famous dishes and the food temperature is very good . Just cooked and not over good . It has some signature dishes like salty duck eggs yolk deep fried golden mushroom , steamed garlic shrimp over fun see clear noodles , Satay beef hot pot , etc . They are famous for the yellow skin chicken ( Hoi Nam chicken ) and roasted duck . Service - we may have caught them on an off night. Kid at the front didn't have a clue as to how to use the register, which caused for some cold egg rolls - but poor guy, he was trying. Chow mien was a little oily, broccoli beef lacked that vibrant flavor and salt and pepper shrimp was not top of my list. Will go back if we have to - but not willingly. read more

This is in no way the best Chinese food I've had BUT it is the best bang for your buck! The lunch and dinner special plates are great, You get a generous portion of rice or chow mein and entree of your choice for under $10. My go to is the General Tso's chicken, has a tiny bit of spice with great flavor. My wife gets the orange chicken and potstickers which is bomb as well! Haven't tried much else from there. The General Tso Chicken was very flavorful and spicy, which I liked. The chow mein was small portioned and was less than what I was expecting. It reminded me almost of spaghetti noodles, but was ok tasting. The fried rice was also on the small side, but was good. Could have used a bit more color across, but was good. The sweet and sour was the worst. It had no vegetables and was barely covered in sweet and sour sauce. It looked like it was piled with just chicken and drizzled with the sweet and sour sauce. The chicken was doughy and plain tasting. Not at all satisfied with that. But on the plus side, they gave me a whole bunch of steamed rice (you can't fuck that up, right?). I would consider going back, but I'm going to be very weary of their sweet and sour chicken, it looks nothing like the picture. Lady at the front was rude as hell. Went in at 8:10pm, and they closed at 9. She didn't want us eating in there. We drove an hour to this place. So once she asked if we would be done eating before 845, we said yes she let us stay. She Tried to pressure my friend to give her a tip as she was paying for food. My friend said no, and after that the lady was full blown rude! Didn't give us anything for our egg rolls, so I got up and asked. For 5 egg rolls we got maybe 2 tbsp of sweet and sour sauce. Food was still cold. Portion sizes are ridiculously small for how much they are charging. When we left, we left plates stacked on table. She yelled at us for not giving them to her. Ummmmm.... Wtf? Pretty good pricing compared to other Asian restaurants in the area that gives you plenty of food ranging from 5.99-6.99 for the meal specials. Had Salt and Pepper Fish in places like Walnut Creek, Los Angeles and Concord, this place is on par sans the pricey tag! Rice had a great texture and tasted fresh! Partner and I got food poisoning from here last night. We came in around 8:45pm. Although there were multiple items in the order we only ate the potstickers, white rice, broccoli chicken, and beef fried rice. We ate a VERY small amount because the food did not taste good. It was bland. Rice was mushy and seemed old. Meat had weird taste. We threw everything away. At 2am I started vomiting and now almost 10 hours later I am JUST starting to feel better.
