So healthy and yummy with a good price tag! All checks in my book :) I suggest coming here when you're not very full because the yogurt gets very filling. My friend and I were lucky to snag some seats when we came here or else we would've had to stand. If you're using credit card, there's a lady who can take your order in the front. We got the Pineapple + Toasted Walnut and the Strawberry and Honey. The strawberry isn't on the menu and you can create other combinations as well. My favorite was the strawberry only because I like that fruit more than pineapple but both were very good. Definitely better than those ones they sell prepackaged! I tried the fresh fruit one and could only choose one type of berry so I went with raspberries. I was hoping it would be assorted fruits. It came with honey and granola. It's also so pricey just for yogurt and toppings (paid around $6 wth) obviously something we can all put together easily at home, so I can't really see myself coming back here often. New York is so fancy pants. What we can buy at the grocery store for a dollar on sale, we need to have sold in a store front that rivals a high end jewelry, optical, cupcake, and macaron shop. I didn't have much expectations for the cardboard boarded up future location of Chobani SoHo. When I saw it the other night I was really impressed. They fit in the neighborhood as if they have been there for years. We had two yogurts to go. When I tried the first, a cucumber and olive oil concoction, I made a face and said, "This is God awful! Where's the falafel?" I wasn't expecting a savory yogurt. I like sweet things and when going Greek it is mandatory that there is a touch of honey in mine. Somehow, the pita chips had failed to make it in my bag. The yogurt was meant to be eaten like a dip. So we substituted with lime tortilla chips and all was dandy. What a great party recipe. This savory yogurt also reminded me of how Vicky L eats her Fage, as a spread like cream cheese on bagels. Half the fat and just as much richness for the win. My yogurt of walnuts, honey, and Turkish figs was spot on. I wouldn't mind paying $4 for it. Chobani really classed up their flavors with their in store menu. Dark chocolate and pistachios? Toasted coconut, pineapple, and hazelnuts? Yes please to all. I can't wait to try them. I'd take a break from shopping and indulge. Greek yogurt has turned into a treat. Sure it's trending right now but I don't think it's going away any time soon. Chobani just surpassed a billion in sales and whenever I go to the grocery store the shelves are empty. This place is delicious! I got the granola + yogurt + strawberry full sized combination and it was tasty and filling. Pretty much what you expect - Greek yogurt parfait with fresh fruit. I'm a Greek yogurt fiend so I'll always be satisfied. The ordering process is annoying - it's hard to see where the line is, and sometimes there are just employees going around the store finding customers who need to order. There's limited seating (Soho problems) but the location / lighting are both really nice. Oh, and you don't get to keep the bowl anymore - it's a few extra dollars, which is disappointing. read more

This was a great spot to check out in SOHO. I was here monday for the tasting. I was really impressed with the Pistacchio and Chocolate yogurt, got the regular version inside the store. It was sort of pricey, I admit I don't even normally get Chobani in the normal grocery stores, but the cost of a regular was $4 here. I guess not as expensive as pinkberry or something but it could work for a day you really want some yogurt. Also, got the big PB&J for the take home sample, it tasted amazing. I liked the little glass container it came in as well. I plan to use it for my regular yougurt eating from now on. The store was pretty small and by the time I got there around 8:20, many people I guess left already. it was cool though, nice to still chat with some other yelpers and enjoy this food. I would come back here again, definitely for the Peanut Butter and Jelly yogurt. Let me preface this review by saying I fucking love yogurt. Like a lot. Sometimes I eat 3 a day at home and at work. It's pretty much the perfect snack. When I first head about the Chobani shop I thought it was pretty stupid...why does a yogurt company need a store in soho? I assumed it would be somehow pretentious and overpriced a la the Nespresso store. Oh how wrong I was. I stopped in soon after they opened and was pleasantly surprised to find a small, straightforward space fully staffed by cheerful employees eager to hook me up with an awesome, and reasonably priced, cup of yogurt. The flavor combinations range from the standard fruit and granola to the more creative like cucumber and olive oil with pita chips. The best part is that it's given me new ideas to dress up the yogurt I eat at home. I think I'm going to stop in next week for a fig and walnut yogurt. read more

I got the blueberry power yogurt and it was $8 for a full size. It is basically some topping son plain greek yogurt. I definitely don't think this was worth $8. It is a cool shop just to see though and and has a nice interior. If you come, I wouldn't really recommend any of the yogurts just because they can be made at home for so much cheaper. The store is open so you can walk around and watch them make your creation or just sit back till they call your name. It is 3.75 for the custom made one and it is well worth it!. I had the peanut butter and jelly with grapes combo and it was the most amazing flavored yogurt I have ever had. My girlfriend had the mint with cucumbers and we sat there in silence eating for a good 10 minutes that's how good it was. Yes you can make this all at home with the plain chobani yogurt yes it will be cheaper. However if your downtown and want a great healthy snack made fresh in a cool looking shop than look no further. Ok. Got my first chobani yogurt creation one afternoon, a few weeks ago, for the first time. Came back to the yogurt bar, 2 hours later, after my workout (pathetic, I know) to get a second one for myself and one for the husband too, because he was jealous. It was: That Good. The cucumber and olive oil one is seriously refreshing and light. The smoked salmon was hearty in all the right ways, filling and bursting with flavor. The design of the place is modern and airy, even though it is small and there's no real seating to speak of. Now I have been back an embarrassing number of times and have tried everything on the menu...they are all delicious. Savory and sweet, and they always have a special new creation, changing monthly. This is a delicious option for a snack or light meal. And don't even try to compare these yogurt creations to store-bought chobani. This is just totally different. And WAY better. read more

An elegant yogurt place, one would go crazy about everything in this yogurt heaven. You might pay a bit extra for their yogurt here than in stores, but hey !!! that's not even 10% close to the quality and freshness that you would get here. I absolutely LOVE Chobani yogurt. When I found out about their store, I was ecstatic! I've been here a few times and they have recently renovated the entire store. I think one of the coolest things is how you get to keep their cute glass jars when you order yogurt! My favorite ones are the Smoked Salmon yogurt (which they stopped serving after the renovation) and PB&J yogurt! They are the BOMBBBBs. I've also tried their Smoked Salmon & Cream Cheese bagel, it was different from your typical bagel. Orgasmic. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly, they place your orders on iPads and you can see it being prepared in the back! Wasn't aware that chobani has its own yogurt store. They have all sorts of funky flavors to try. Sweet and savory. Things like hummus with feta cheese and red peppers or mango and avocado. The place is clean and sleek. Lots of room to sit down and enjoy your dessert. We got the peanut butter jelly one that had actual peanuts and grapes. (A mindy Kaling favorite I was told) and the salmon with cucumbers and olive oil one. Surprisingly it works. They were good for a healthy snack. We loved the avocado mango one it has diced jalapeños on top giving it a really nice spice. The store itself is a really relaxed sun soaked seating area. The perfect blend of healthy and indulgent. I was elated to stumble across the Chobani store when I was shopping in Soho. The store is bright and airy, and the girls behind the counter were quick to help me when I entered all wide-eyed and curious. In addition to a complete selection of their normal "grocery-store" yogurt staples, they have these artisanal yogurt creations. I went with the Pistachio and Chocolate, which is apparently their most popular choice. Dark chocolate, honey, pistachios, orange slices, and fresh mint. At $4.25 for a serving, it's definitely more expensive than the $1.99 yogurt you'd be buying in Whole Foods. But it's the price of a Pinkberry and much healthier for you. I felt like patting myself on the back just for eating it. (Also it comes in this sexy little glass ramekin that I plan on keeping). I will definitely be back: Fig & Walnut, Peanut Butter & Jelly, Pineapple & Coconut -- I have many more flavors I need to sample. I was unsure of the concept other than just serving their yogurt with some add-ins. However, the menu is quite expansive to cover savory, sweet, and nutritious options. The yogurt is much creamier than their packaged refrigerated store option and not as cold. It's definitely not as stiff so you can easily put in additions that mix well. We had their granola with fruit (seasonal strawberries). They also have a bunch of recipe cards so you can try some of their menu options at home. You put in your order and servers come out to you. Definitely a good change of pace from smoothies and salads, just note that it is a little costly. read more

It's aiiiiiight. Honestly it's nothing you can't make at home. Kudos to the Chobani folks for excellent marketing and making it seem like you can't ;) I ordered the fresh fruit + home made granola. Fresh fruit consisted of blueberries only... I thought there would be other fruits included as well. Granola didn't taste like anything special, and then there was the drizzle of honey. As per other yelp reviews, you get to take the glass bowl home.. however mine came in a plastic container because I guess I didn't specify that I was going to eat it there. The set up of the place is a little off too. Not a whole lot of space from where you place your order and the entrance/exit. The only trashcan is also only near the entrance/exit. So it causes a bit of a traffic jam when you're trying to throw your stuff away and leaving when people are trying to enter. The savory yogurts may be the way to go here. read more

I am a HUGE Chobani fan. I basically live on the stuff. So, you can imagine my excitement when I heard about the Chobani store opening up in SoHo. So I finally got my chance tonight! The store is small and a bit confusing with limited direction of how to order and what the options are. But it was fine, as I was so excited for the yogurt! I ordered mine with seasonal berries, honey, and granola. , it was a significant disappointment. Don't get me wrong, it was delicious. Much like the Chobani yogurt you get at home. In fact, it was EXACTLY like it, but about half the portion size of the base yogurt for double the price. The ingredients were fresh, and the granola and honey were fantastic. But I have all ingredients in my fridge. It was just a very overpriced serving of what I have in my apartment. I would not go back, but would instead head to the grocery store and buy my own ingredients. Yes, it did come in a small glass dish. But I have all of the bowls I need, thanks. It's been a few months since my visit and I'm craving one of their yogurt creations- the mint, orange and dark chocolate one specifically. It is a perfect mix of toppings to yogurt ratio. My husband (who previously tried store-bought greek yogurt and thought it was rancid), thought it was ok (which is a huge improvement over his initial reaction to greek yogurt). Holy crap, did I do a double take today on West Broadway. Chobani.. with its rows and rows at yours truly grocery stores, now has sold out and opened up a store in SOHO. Just kidding. About the selling out. But there is, a Chobani store. It's own damn store- first in the world, 3 weeks old. The decor affronts a modern decor (where they use an iphone and cash wallet as a register..oh yes, that kind of place), but with that earthy goodness that makes Chobani a brand from the people. What can you get from this Chobani store? Chobani paraphernalia... T shirts, water bottles and the like. You can buy chobanis ready to go, much like it exists in grocery stores, OR for $3.50-$3.75, you can buy a made-to-order, custom Chobani. From the menu of tantalizing combinations, I got the Blueberry Power, which is plain, sweetened chobani (this is the base for most of the menu.. though there is one with olive oil and pita chips, for the savory choice), with blueberry, walnuts, honey, acai, chia seeds and "hemp...something." The kind cashier (who explained that the store was 3 weeks ago..mildly amused by my bewilderment), allowed me to watch them assemble my chobani. Out it came, wrapped in a cheese cloth and a pyrex. Man, that's sort of wasteful (presuming you don't recycle) but hey considering Chobani was recently a sponsor of the Olympic 2012 games, I assume they've got some money to burn. It does make for a nice presentation. But all that aside, the made to order yogurt was pretty damn good. I say this considering that competitor Fage, has always had my loyalty. But this was spot on- creamy goodness with the right touch of crunch from the seeds/nuts, and sweetness from the honey and blueberry. And I'm thinking I could probably run a mile now with all that hemp stuff.. All in all, is it ridiculous to pay a near $4 for grocery store Greek yogurt? Yes. Review in full: I walked by this place on the way to a bar and was confused. A yogurt store? That's strange... I continued on my way to the drinking. The following day that yogurt store stuck with me. What was that all about? Also I was hungover and wasn't quite ready for solid food. I trudged back over to Chobani with my girlfriend and decided this was the best way to regain my strength. The first thing I noticed was the storefront was beautiful. It is a small location, with only bench seating, but it is clean and you can see the folks in the back making the product. The second thing I noticed was the menu. A few of the usual chobani suspects are there, toasted coconut & pineapple, pistachio and chocolate, etc... but then things like peanut butter and jelly, cucumber and olive oil, and SALMON and dill start to catch your eye. Not quite being the adventurous one (thanks hangover) I went with one of the seasonal offerings (Spiced chai apple and walnut) and my girlfriend grabbed the salmon and dill because how often are you going to get the chance to have that? A little more than $5 gets you a hefty serving of plain yogurt with toppings piled on. My apple fare was just what I needed to get me moving again and I started picking at my girlfriend's order which she was devouring. Wow... salmon and yogurt... just delicious. This is also served with a side of bagel chips and really, if anything gets you in the door it needs to be this. Chobani makes for a great snack or light meal. I had the opportunity to try all the flavors during a recent Yelp tasting event. My favorites include the peanut butter and jelly, the pineapple / coconut, and the one savory option, cucumber and mint with pita chips, but you really can't go wrong with any order. They also rotate in seasonal flavors which is a creative way to try local and in season ingredients. The yogurt is tart and super fresh, and comes in both 0% and 2% fat. You can pick from 2 different sizes, and your order is made for you while you wait a few minutes. I found that the small size was plenty for me. As an added bonus you can take home the glass bowl and use it to make your own yogurt creations, or as a prep container for cooking. If you bring it back you get a small discount on your next order - win! In addition to serving these special creations you can buy other Chobani products to take home including Chobani Flips, Bites, and of course, their regular yogurts you find in the grocery store.
