I was lucky enough to be able to visit again after nearly 5 years. This churro was better than I even remembered. It's honestly the best churro I've had in my entire life. It's so crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The cinnamon sugar sticks to the churro perfectly. It's just slightly oily, perfect really. Just get the plain churros, you won't regret it! read more

If you're thinking of checking this place out, do it, even if you're not a fan of churros, try it in and you won't regret it. I'm not a fan of churros but wanted to try this place because of so-many positive reviews and glad I did. I got traditional churros, it was absolutely delicious, freshly made, piping hot, crispy on outside, soft and so light in the inside, perfect amount of cinnamon sugar,. you take a bite, you see steam coming out, it was perfect for this cold weather. Wow! If you like churros this is the place to be. It's a food truck with a small picnic area. Not much to it but boy does the food make up for it. The person taking the orders is super friendly and the food came out quickly even though there was a very long line. Very popular place on a Saturday afternoon. I got the Texas comfort and added a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Oh my sweet baby Jesus. It was delicious. The salted caramel apple pie filling paired splendidly with the cardamom cinnamon sugar. I would definitely go back to try another churro! read more

Decided to check this spot out for dessert one night and even though we were super full we couldn't resist and ate the whole portion. I had to come back another time during my visit. I had the campfire churro, banana split one and the Texas comfort one during my visits and all 3 were sooo good. Can't go wrong with any of the toppings or flavor combinations, and ice cream on top is top notch. Will be going back when I visit Austin again. read more

The churro was amazing. It was hot and fresh and made to order. The service was okay. The ambiance was cute but we decided to eat in the car. My only complaint was that we went on a Sunday not realizing they were closed Monday. In other words I wanted to go back for more prior to ending my vacation but couldn't. Next time I'm in Austin I will definitely return for more deliciousness. read more

Churro Co. is a food truck that specializes in specialty churros where they put a fun twist on a classic Mexican dessert. You can find unique ones such as the Campfire which takes two churros tossed in graham sugar and tops them with Mexican chocolate sauce, toasted marshmallow, and whipped cream. ($6.50) Pretty good combination of flavors and it reminds me of s'mores, but better! The churros are also made well with a good crunchy outside, soft bready inside. Would have liked the churros to be a bit bigger, but that's not a biggie. Overall, I give them an 4.25/5 for being pretty great! read more

Stopped at this food truck on a not-so-cold winter evening, as it was on my list of stops during my Austin trip thanks to you Yelpers. We wanted something sweet, but not over the top, and decided to go with "The Leslie" which consists of a mango compote. The staff (and everyone in Austin, really) were super cool. Our dessert was the perfect size for sharing in my opinion, so we did just that. Parking is rough. We parked in the lot near the Mexican Bakery and then saw a sign after eating our delightful churro dessert requesting we don't. Whoops. Any way. Prices are reasonable, there's cute outdoor seating, and it's yummy. read more

Stopped by with family before heading back home from Rainey street. Only had to wait ~5min for churros. They had a nice picnic sitting area with around 6 tables. Churros were very good and reasonably priced. Definitely shareable between 2 for as long as you aren't territorial. The campfire had a little too much chocolate for my taste, but my wife was happy to eat the extra chocolatey chunks. read more

Lot of good churro options. Very popular combos with ice cream that others enjoyed. The churro itself comes hot and has a good balance of crispiness and softness on the inside. Great for a little desert or to have it with cold coffee. It's in an odd spot for parking so you may have to park on the streets on the side. read more

First Churro review, and I must say it was chew chew chew. Those are some good churros. I give them one and 3 zeros! That's 1000 times better than any other churros I've ever had. Since then I've been reminiscing, and it makes me sad. Why are you so far from San Diego? How can I get over this craving and let go? We'll see other again, but till then you'll remain as my main.....favorite churros. Kudos! read more

Literally came across this truck while riding Wheels around the city. We stopped for a quick bite and were impressed with the quality. The churros were HOT when served so we knew they were fresh. The ice cream was melting. They are very generous with chocolate sauce so keep that in mind if you don't want too much chocolate! There isn't a lot of parking, and there were only a few tables for sitting. Be careful for the ants in the sand/dirt! They bite!! read more

Charming joint. Tasty churros made and served by non-hispanic folks who were cheerful and friendly. This food truck spot is even popular at night in the middle of winter with howling winds. Guess what we ordered? The Traditional with vanilla ice cream as if we were not cold enough with the wind. Folks just keep coming one after another. Very nice. Highly recommend it. read more

The churros here are really good! it is still slightly warm and just the right amount of crispy. The topping on the churro was so good! I loved the nuts on the churro and even though I thought I wouldn't like the whipped cream on it, it went well with the churro. There is only outdoor seating and it took a while to find seating and it was hard to find parking. The workers were nice and I liked the lighting and atmosphere in the outdoor seats. read more

These churros are so good.. there was literally a time where I was wearing the shortest dress, because I was on a date with my bf, it was outrageously cold and I was shivering so bad but we ordered like 4 churros and stood outside in the cold for each and every churro. And let me tell you, it was so fucking worth it. Service is great, the churros are amazing for their price, the drinks are okay, but omg you have to go here. read more

Solid churros! I came here during the South 1st sip and shop. I got the Campfire churros while my boyfriend ordered the Texas Comfort. We also got a free coffee since it was part of the event, however; the coffee wasn't great and tasted super watery. My boyfriend really enjoyed his churros and even liked the whip cream on it. Every time I'm in Austin for a visit I can't leave without hitting up this amazing Churro Spot. We don't get these unique toppings here in LA. I love that they get creative with their menu, especially the seasonal flavor combos. I will never forget their Sage sugar Churro with Berry topping and whip & Vanilla ice cream... that I got a few years back. I miss it, but luckily this time around I was able to try their Blue Velvet Cinnamon sugar Churro with a white chocolate Ganache & Lavender Blueberry topping with whipped cream!!!! It was amazing! I have no complaints and definitely would recommend giving this place a try!!!! read more

So ecstatic that they opened up a food truck in North Austin (1401 W Koenig Ln, Austin, TX 78756)! No more fighting downtown traffic to get my cinnamon & sugar pastry fix! So, apparently this location is top secret, privy to only insta-ers. It's not listed anywhere, not even their website! But my Fairy Godmother Ninja, David (from Fairy Godmother Ninja Productions), captured a leprechaun with his specialized steel shurikens & tortured the secret address out of him by turning gold coins into 3 leaf clovers. We then rode a silver bullet with our fam & we were so happy to walk onto the lovely outdoor area that lead to the food truck order window. The wood patio is ample with several seating options such as benches & chairs. For the summer heat enthusiasts, they can enjoy the sauna like conditions with industrial fans further blowing hot air upon them. Curtains adorn one side to help block the sun. I look forward to enjoying this patio once the summer heat wave has dissipated in a couple of months. The employee that took my order was very amicable & even went beyond typical cordial customer service by asking friendly questions about my day & so forth. He was sincere & genuinely interested in our responses, commenting & making follow up questions. Great employee! This guy is what every business owner wishes for & is impossible to find! Maybe he's the leprechaun's brother....hmmm. So this location gives you a small remote like beeper to let you know when your churros are ready. A definite must for delicate chicks like me that melt in the heat & want to go into Thunderbird Coffee for the A/C...& some great tasting coffee...but that's for a different review! Since this place is still top secret, we received our churro orders in a few minutes. I always get the cinnamon & sugar with ice cream, Nutella, & whip cream. Plus they add cinnamon & sugar on top of that!!! So AWESOME! You can never get too much cinnamon & sugar! read more

Omg best churros I've had here. These were amazingly crisp on the outside and perfectly warm and soft on the inside. Its sugared perfectly with cinnamon. I also absolutely love the cajeta caramel sauce. Its made from goat milk and you can taste the richness of the caramel. The vanilla ice cream is also bomb. It's not a plain normal vanilla ice cream. It tastes more flavorful like a Mexican vanilla. They have specials that I would love to come back and try! read more

S'more toasted marshmallow treats! I was able to squeeze in one quick foodie adventure on my short trip to Austin. I trucked it 2 miles in the heat and humidity for this and I have no regrets! I ordered the campFIRE. Coincidence that the word fire is in the name? I think not! Both my walk and these churros were lit! My 'Campfire' came with two churros tossed in graham sugar with Mexican chocolate sauce, toasted marshmallow, and whipped cream. I also added a scoop of vanilla ice cream for $1. The guy working was super nice - I wish I would have gotten his name. After myself and a few others ordered, he came out to personally inform us that his propane tank wasn't working and that our orders would take about 10 minutes longer. He wanted to make sure everyone was okay with the wait and that we weren't in a rush. None of us minded and I thought it was courteous of him to come out to communicate this information. He offered us water bottles on the house, which I really appreciated after a long walk in the heat. He also gave us a coupon to use on our next visit! We called ahead, checked the website and drove 30 min across town to catch this place on a Friday night at 9 pm for dessert. Despite hearing on their voicemail they are open, seeing online they were open and even showing up to the food truck to see signage saying they are open until 11 pm they were closed. We had a car full of 6 disappointed people turn around & go home, It's important that when a company changes their hours they respect their customers to communicate this to them in one of the possible ways. read more

If you're looking for a specialty dessert and aren't feeling the post-gorge-haze that you get from Gourdough's donuts, come to churro co! If you're in the mood for a traditional churro, look elsewhere. Boo and I got a date night from the churro co. food truck (they have outdoor picnic tables if you're looking to dine there), and were intrigued by their popcorn sugar. You can totally taste that the sugar they use tastes like kettle corn. EXCEPT in sugar form. Dopeness. We loved the salty and sweet combo--it's the perfect mix. I'm not a huge sweet tooth person, so this was the perfect balance. The ice cream and sweet caramel was the perfect combo with the salty popcorn sugar. The churro was fried to perfection, and the portion size was appropriate for two. Service was very friendly and knowledgeable. The guy taking our order was able to tell us the ingredients without being pretentious. He was so kind to us and patient with us as we mulled over the menu. Fabulous people! It was a little difficult to find because they didn't have a sign that says "Churro Co" on the top of their food truck. But if you read the chalk board sign, you'll know you came to the right place. We ordered some specialty churros and some plain churros. All the churros came out fresh, piping hot and crispy. The specialty churros were rolled in cinnamon sugar and drizzled with chocolate/caramel sauce, topped with ice cream. These were so good we went back and ordered some more plain churros. The plain churros were also made fresh, were hot and crispy but were a little plain. Definitely worth the visit! read more

I love that this food truck is nestled away in Austin. It has such a cute feel to it! We were overwhelmed at first looking at the menu cause their were so many choices. I decided on the wake n bake. It's 2 regular churros with rum pecan sauce, waffle bits, espresso whip and frozen banana slices. First off, there will be a little wait because these are made fresh. IT IS WORTH THE WAIT. I love churros, but I've never had any so good!!! Even though I opted out of Ice cream, the frozen banana slices were a perfect march for the hot and fresh churros. The espresso whip was so good! First things first, don't park in the spaces in front of the place next door. Yes these are amazing Churros. Crispy on the outside and soft in the inside with a perfect amount of a dusty sugary coating. The dipping sauces that they offer are a perfect accompaniment to the freshly fried churro. I'm gonna go ahead and say it: I'm not sure if I've ever had a churro before this. Am I not human? But it's never too late to start, and what better place than the famous Churro Co truck! The both of us shared the Date Night. First of all, it was fried perfectly, making the wait worth it. Second of all, you just can't go wrong with ice cream and fried dough. Not sure which was better- the cookies or the ice cream- but together they were delicious. I love that there are so many different cookie options to create a sandwich with along with the various toppings. I opted for mint chocolate chip ice cream on the regular chocolate chip cookies- it hit the spot. Only down side is the price point but guess that's expected in the Austin metro area. Ended up spending $35 with tip for the three of us (2 bowls and a sandwich).

I was craving Ube and might have gone a bit overboard on ordering dessert because they had so many Ube options. The building is colorful and decorated in bright pink with fun artwork and decor for an uplifting vibe. The line moved quickly and the service was friendly fast and efficient. I was able to place my order and pay with Apple Pay. I ordered the Taiyaki Sundae with black sesame and ube swirl soft serve served in a fish shaped mochi Belgian style waffle with Oreo dust on top. You can customize your sundae with filling like organic red sweet beans, Nutella or custard and toppings like Oreo dust, fruity pebbles or rainbow sprinkles. I ate this on site and the nutty black sesame balanced the sweet ube perfectly, and the Oreo topping added the best crunch. They had a variety of mochi donut flavors. Lucky for me, nothing was sold out today. I ordered the Oreo ube mochi donut and ube milk tea to-go. I ate the mochi donut later that day and it was probably my least favorite item from my order. It had the chewy mochi texture however I didn't get enough of the rich ube flavor. It had somewhat of a bitter aftertaste and the Oreo overpowered the ube. I drank the ube milk tea the next day and it was creamy, smooth, and not overly sweet. I really enjoyed the flavor profile of the beverage and would order it again. Overall, enjoyed my selections and will be back to try more dessert options and flavors from one of the most unique Asian dessert spots in Austin!

Tried the Son of a Peach with cream cheese icing, spiced peach filling, cake mix topping, cinnamon and sugar with honey butter. This one was a bit too overindulgent and sweet for my liking but was definitely worth a try. Portions are huge and can be shared as the donut is not as good warmed over. I was hoping to treat my nieces and I to a sweet take-out treat at dinner. I looked at the menu ahead of time on their website and priced out what I would be ordering. I planned to buy 3 of the Traditional Churro orders with Nutella dipping sauce for my two nieces. According to the menu, my total amount of goods purchased would be $10.75 and with Austin sales tax (8.250%), it should total to $11.64. However, when the woman at the counter rung me up, she charged me $15.70. I paused and made a comment about the sales tax being too high and for a moment I tried to do the math in my head. Meanwhile, I went ahead and handed her my card because I HAD to get the churros no matter what (I'd already promised my nieces I'd bring them home to enjoy with dinner) and before I could figure it all out on my phone for peace of mind, she ran the card and closed the sale. I would have appreciated being asked if I would like to receive a receipt (which Square sales offer) because I wanted to double check the order for pricing to see why it was so much higher. But then she just turned the screen around and called on the next customer. I felt a little cheated and unseen, especially after voicing a concern for the high price. The churros were okay--nothing remarkable. I think for another $16 I can get a Churro maker off of Amazon and just make our own at home. So bummed. Ladies and Gents, I don't usually leave reviews unless I'm completely mind-blown. I'm so committed to this place that I practically go every weekend. You can immediately tell they put a lot of love into their dessert. I've tried everything on the menu and I must say that everything is amazing. My favorite at the moment is the Texas Comfort, just add the ice cream for $1, trust me it's so worth it. I'm glad that they have opened a North location, because now they are a short drive away. Probably the best churros I've ever had, and I've had a lot. The plain charros were excellent, very crunchy outside with a study middle, not too greasy and a nice mix of sugar and cinnamon. The Campfire churros were a step above with graham cracker dust, whipped cream, a scoop of vanilla and real roasted marshmallows. Simply amazing. read more

Had the date night from the specialty menu. It was good, but there was a little too much sea salt and it really overpowered it.
