First time here and definitely not my last. I'm impressed by how much ingredients they actually give you. I ordered a steak taco salad. I was expecting a small salad but the amount of food they gave me took me by surprise. The steak was flavorful, not salty at all. The quantity of meat in the taco salad was impressive, definitely way more than what most places will give you. Everything was seasoned to perfection. Great spot for a quick bite while shopping! Usually I prefer chicken tacos, but here for me it's all about the steak tacos! Chicken is good too, but I regularly find myself craving the steak. Their beef and steak tacos are amazing! The perfect amount of spice and toppings. Their tamales are good too, but they could use more chicken. And I wish their taco aside was a bit spicier. The reason I gave them 4 stars is because their prices are on the high side. You don't get what you pay for. One "little" taco is $2.36 for one and the tacos are sooo little. When I found out they were opening a location in Oak Brook I was so excited! The first cilantros I went to was the one in Rosemont. Their food is so good. It is one of the few taco places that gave carnitas on the menu. Their carnitas are so good and their guacamole is also delicious. The Oak Brook location is in the second floor food court by the AMC theatre. Nothing fancy but great food! read more

First time here. I ordered the steak burrito. All the ingredients were fresh and made to order. The steak was seasoned well and the lettuce to meat ratio was perfect. The tortilla had great flavor. This review is mainly service related. I stopped for a snack while shopping around, killing time and needing a quiet spot to charge my phone. I ordered chips, salsa and a regular lime margarita. Whenever I go to the mall I stop by for the taco dinner 3 steak tacos with rice and beans which i loovvvve. You cant find good rice and beans at taco places but this place has the good. Anyway as im eating lunch with my daughter i notice alert come through of my purchase and my statement shows i was charged 3 times so after we finish i go back and show the manager Diego that i was charged 3 times but because it showed pending he said he could not issue a refund i told him that was fine id take the additional meals to go. I figured i could take home to my boys. He said he couldnt do that either as the transactions were pending and all he kept saying was it was pending so no. He said i could call back tomorrow and get a refund after it no longer showed pending I guess. So now Ill have to go back to the mall which is about 15 minutes away just to get a refund when he couldve just gave me the meals to go or offer a credit or something. Let me first state that I go to the Stone Park location weekly and I love the food and service that I get there. It's a wonderful experience. So I thought that would be duplicated at the Oakbrook location but I couldn't have been more wrong. The person taking my order missed several items that I wanted. And then on top of that, never printed my order to give to the cooks. I waited some 20 minutes watching people and families order their food after me receive their items. It was only when i asked about it did anyone realize their mistake. Now normally, I would have expected an apology but that didn't happen. In fact, I am as made to feel like I was at fault. And even when they realized their mistake, several orders were made before I was taken care of. When my order was called completed it was as left at the counter for me. At least they could have said that they were sorry. I was NOT expecting anything free and still am not. By that point, i was too mad to have enjoyed my food. I won't be coming back to this location and will be sure to share my experience. read more

Great quick bit. I had the beef, steak, and chicken tacos and they tasted fresh. The hot sauce that came along added the right amount of kick to the tacos. I loved them so much, I actually went back the next day for more while on my trip. The customer service was quick and that's what you need when you're hungry. Tacos are pretty good and I'm super picky with my tacos. The sizes are a bit smaller than what I'm use to but they fill it up with meat and not like other places. It's on the cheaper side too so that's a plus. The hot sauce is lot spicier than I anticipated. read more

Yay! I'm happy that Oakbrook mall has a Cilantro here. I used to go to the Elmhurst location but glad they expanded out my way :). Came here during a weekday. This location is part of the new food court called the District. The name of the food court reminds me of something out of that Jennifer Lawrence movie where she takes her sister's place to fight for survival...forgot the name...whatever I'm babbling. Anyway, this is a nice location. The food is just a good as the one in elmhurst. I ordered 2 chicken tacos with just onion and cilantro. It came with refried beans and rice. So yummy. The chicken was moist and the corn tortillas were nice and warm. I only suggest that you don't buy soft drinks from them. For a can of coke or sprite, they charge 2 bucks. Go to another one of the food places and buy a drink, or drink water or better yet, bring your own pop. If Chipotle is 4.5 stars and Qdoba is 3, this place is a 2. I got a carne asada burrito dinner. The 'dinner' comes with rice and refried beans. The refried beans were decent but what the heck is that stuff they call rice? Knocking a star for the weird rice. The burrito was a little motononous and chewy, not nearly as good as either Qdoba or Chipotle. With the other places in the food court, I'd much rather go to Nandos even though it's more expensive. read more

Insanely expensive low quality awful food served on paper plates and plasticware in an "upscale" cafeteria setting, for people who will eat it because it's there. This ruined any other restaurants I would go to in this new complex. I am only saying this because it was not good. It's "fresh" and clean but...no, just no. The name of the restaurant alone made me want to try this place out. I was here right at 10am when they open on Saturday, the 18th. Was here for the Stan's Donuts Grand Opening and after standing in line for 1.5 hours, my friends and I were able to make it here. So as the first customer of the day to step up - of course, no line no waiting. My son ordered a chicken burrito and I ordered 3 chorizo tacos. Good...VERY GOOD. I will definitely go out of my way to try this place again. I'm not a huge fan of corn tortillas and would have preferred flour. Not bad though to say the least. read more

The food was fair, being from California and Colorado and going to Mexican restaurants there I have my idea's of good Mexican food. I had a lengua burrito, not very much for flavor, and the hot sauce was mild at most. Had to use my Trader Joe's dragon hot sauce to add flavor & heat to the burrito. The lengua was sliced where normally it is in chunks. Maybe next time I will try something else. read more

I told her i didnt want anything was just asking if the cook had ever cooked it before . She explained that its real busy . I asked is that the cooks excuse for not making it correct . She said i cant stand over them making sure everything is made correctly . I told her no but you should as a manager make sure your cooks arent taking short cuts cause its busy . Went to this restaurant for the first time. I ordered my food with a short lady she wasn't nice but wasn't friendly either. I was paying on my card and she was asking for a tip already. I had ordered a drink that I disliked completely I asked for a water instead and she told me there was no refunds and I could get a cup and fill it up at a water fountain because she wouldn't fill my current cup with any water herself. This is after I felt obligated to tip her. Personally I work in customer service and customers who pay and tip for there food shouldn't be treated this way. read more

On their website its says delivery within the Mall area where they're located. I work across the street and EVERYTIME I call, they're short staffed and cant do delivery. The food from here tasted good (not wonderful, but not junky) but the employees were so rude and nasty that I think I will take my business elsewhere within the Oak Brook food court from now on. The employees made my mother's steak taco wrong (they gave her the cilantro & onion while she had wanted the lettuce & tomato) and when I brought it back first made me go fetch the receipt (which is fine I guess if that's your policy?) but they said it in a very suspicious manner, as if I was trying to scam them. Once I brought back the receipt, the next employee proceeded to throw the lettuce & tomato ontop of the cilantro and onion and handed it back to me. When I saw it, I said "She didn't want cilantro and onion at all" to which the employee said "then you can go buy a new one over at the register." At this point I was a bit irritated because my delicious Greek food (PS where the people are VERY NICE!!!) was getting cold, and I wasn't about to pay for their mistake, so I said "You made my food wrong. I would just like a new taco." The lady SNAPPED at me and said "I didn't make your food wrong MAAM, I didn't take your order." Thankfully, after she got that out of her system she finally took the Frankenstein taco off my plate, threw it in the trash and made me a new one. This restaurant's rude employees were very unwilling to correct what should have been a simple mistake and with all the other options 50 feet away from them, there is no reason to EVER subject myself to them again. The rice was really good. One of the best quesadillas I've ever had! The taco and tamale were average nothing special. The taco and tamale also were not warm. The workers were friendly and quick. Very accommodating. The "foot court" atmosphere is very upscale-chic and clean. The only downside of this model is that the hot sauces float around to different tables so they are hard to track down. read more

Upon asking the progress of my order, they looked at a ticket near the cook and said it was coming out soon but, I saw none of the items I ordered in preparation. It wasn't until I threatened to talk to a manager that they even attempted to start the order. i was literally the only customer there and they managed to screw up the order. i ordered 5 tacos in total and i only got four. I was charged for all five. Then i asked for a different type of tortilla "maiz" and got the regular ones. To top it off the regular tortillas were dry and hard. Really expected more from this place. read more
